Love Bug strikes
Lauren's P.O.V.:
Ah Sunday, funday and Valentine's Day. Nothing like it in my opinion right before school and stuff like it. We had church earlier and I was walking around town with Sean and Jess. Keith went back to the diner to help with Leo because Shock and Hector were camping over the weekend and should be home sometime today depending on traffic. Lisa met up with us over by the library so we can discuss plans for Hector's surprise birthday party and the music video shoot coming up for the summer. "Okay Lauren, if I understand correctly Hector has no idea for the party," Lisa asked. "Yep I made sure as well as Jess to keep this quiet for the time being. Sean and I got our gift set for him and the party will be after the video shoot," I told the gang. "So sundown," Sean asked. "Something along those lines and have we heard from people about being backup," I asked. "Yep, they agreed to it and they know when to come by," Jess told me. "Perfect. I spoke with Mario a few days ago and we are set to rehearse dance moves in March, I honestly don't know when yet," I explained. "Okay, you will let us know right Lauren," Lisa asked. "I will and he's working on a place for rehearsal. He's in contact with a good friend of his who owns a dance studio," I answered.
"Wow good for him," the others smiled. "Yep but right now it's time to focus on fun for today, "I cheered as we smiled. "Yeah but I still can't believe Natalie McNally is back in town for her book signing this week," Lisa smiled. "Yeah I can't believe she was in Africa learning and observing gorillas for two months," I smiled. "I think it was years sis," Jess told me. "Rats," I groaned and soon saw Annie and her uncle Sigmund Scrambler with a suitcase in his hand? "Hey guys is that Sigmund over there," I asked confused.
"Where do you see him Laur," Jess asked and looked over in my direction. "And Annie? What are they doing over here," Sean wondered. "Good question. Only one way to find out," Lisa told us as we walked over. "I'll see you guys back at the diner. Leo texted saying he needs help," Jess explained going the other way. "Okay sis," I smiled. "Lisa, don't leave I need your help," Annie called and we came over. "Hey Sigmund, Annie what's going on," I asked unsure. "What's going on is, we need your help," Annie told us. "What do you mean," Sean asked. "Well, I," Sigmund stuttered. "Well what," Lisa asked. "He's in love with someone," Annie admitted. "Oh. Case of the lovebug strikes. I knew this would happen. So, whose the girl," I asked Sigmund. "Natalie McNally," he admitted.
Sean's P.O.V.:
"Wait, what now," I asked shocked. "Natalie NcNally, the gorilla expert," Lauren asked. "Yes I get so flustered when I speak with her. I fell for her hard ever since 2nd grade," he told us. "Is this a prank Annie," I asked with suspicion. "No Sean it's not, cross my heart. Can you guys help us please," she told us. I looked at Lauren and Lisa who seemed to nod in agreement about what to do. "Alright you two, we'll help trust us when we say you got love experts," I admitted. "Yes," they smiled. "Lisa, work the magic," I told her. "You got it. HEY YOU GUYS," she yelled as we went over to the diner.
(At the diner)
Jess's P.O.V.:
"So glad you guys enjoyed camping for the weekend," I told Shock and Hector as they settled back into the diner. "Well, they don't call me man of the woods for nothing," Hector bragged. "Even if you still fear bugs," I muttered. "I heard that," Hector told me. "Well yes that's true but Jess he did conquer his fear which is a big deal," Shock pointed out. "Yeah I guess so, I worried a lot about what happened last time that I forgot about conquering your fear," I told them. "Hey sis, were back we got a problem and Hector," Lauren's voice rung in the diner before she ran over to Hector and hugging him.
Lauren's P.O.V.:
"Hey sis," Hector said hugging back. "How was camping, I missed you," I asked. "Camping went well, and I conquered my fear of bugs for once," he smiled. "Wow, nice job Hector," I smiled. "Thanks Lauren hey Sean what's up brother," Hector greeted. "Nothing much amigo, right now we got ourselves a problem," he told him. "Prankster problem," Hector asked. "No love problem," I told him. "Love problem? That's a first," he said shocked. "Who has the love problem," Keith asked coming into the diner with PJ.
"Want to take a guess," I asked. Keith looked and saw Sigmund along with Annie in the doorway of the diner. "Sigmund," Keith asked confused. "Him," Hector looked. "Yep," we told him. "Someone care to explain," Leo asked as well. "Long story short, Uncle Sigmund has been in love with someone since the 2nd grade and is flustered to tell her that," Annie said giving the short story. "Who's the girl," Hector asked. "Natalie McNally," Sigmund told him. "Natalie McNally? The gorilla expert who's been studying gorillas in Africa for the past two years and her new book is out this week," Hector asked. "That's her," I replied.
"So why do you like her so much," I questioned. "I don't know. Ever since the field trip we took together I just became entranced by her. She's so pretty and amazing," Sigmund said to us. "I can understand why as well Sigmund. Between the books I'm reading for class, I've been reading her gorilla book. Very interesting," Jess added. "It is but more important, why don't you go up to her and tell how you feel besides, that's what I tell Lauren and Jess," Hector explained. "I tried it yesterday but it didn't go as planned," he admitted. "What do you mean," Sean wondered.
Hector's P.O.V.:
"Well, I was jogging around town yesterday and saw her. I stopped jogging and talked with her. It was going fine, she was telling me about what she did in Africa and how she's excited for the book signing. Afterwards, she asked how I was doing and I told her I was doing great, talked to her about Annie and everything then came the moment I tried to tell her. I was doing great leading to it but soon afterwards, I flustered and blurted out saying I was chilly and needed my sweater then ran away," he explained to us. PJ came into the diner as well hearing the conversation.
"Man, you flustered bad," Keith said surprised. "Tell me about it. I can't seem to get it out of my head," he complained. "Well, when the time is right, you can tell her how you feel," I suggested. "How," he asked. "Why not talk about the book, after all she did learn a lot in Africa," Lauren proposed. "Not a bad idea, I think that can work. Let's give it a try. But where is she," Sigmund agreed. "Paul might know," Jess pointed out. "Okay, let's go find Paul," Keith agreed and we joined with him. "Sean this is perfect. Besides being the Electric Company, we do give great love advice," Lauren smiled to Sean.
"No we don't. Honestly it's me," I told them. "Come on, how come you hadn't used your own advice on hint, hint," Lauren said nudging over to Lisa. "Not yet and when I'm good and ready," I said getting up from the chair. "Depending on how long that takes," Sean muttered.
Lauren's P.O.V.:
"Come on Sean, let's join the others. I think they need help," I told Sean. "Have fun guys, I'll stop by later to see if it works," Hector told us. "Okay Hector," I called back as we walked out into the cold winter air. "I still don't understand why Hector, now Sigmund hasn't used the advice he gave him Lauren," Sean told me as we walked. "Well, I'm surprised to Sean but in all honesty I think it's because not only is it Valentine's Day they got bit by the bug ," I told him. "What bug," Sean asked. "The love bug, come on," I said taking his hand as a guitar courtesy of a street performer began to play a beat.
Lauren singing
Met her for the first time during school, finally found the missing piece of him. Felt so close, yet it seemed so far away, now they don't have anything to say.
(Sean speaking: Lauren you are onto something)
Sean: Now their speechless, over the edge, their just breathless, they never thought that they catch this, love bug today. Hopeless, head over heels in the moment, who would've thought that they get hit by this love bug today.

Keith's P.O.V.:
"Found Paul guys. Hey buddy, have you seen Natalie by any chance," I asked cause we were near the park. He grunted and pointed to over there where she was right behind her wagon observing Paul. "Is she observing you dude? I feel like that is stalker," Sean said to us. "Dude," Lauren elbowed him. "Sorry. I had to point it out," Sean told her. "Okay in the meantime, Sigmund this is your chance to tell her how you feel so how would you do it," Annie asked. "Well for starters, I read her book and discovered how she spent 2 years in the jungle observing the habits gorillas have you know, by eating bananas, picking things out of fur those things and she got tired eating bananas," Sigmund explained.
"Perfect. So, tell her that you read her book lately and discovered she is tired of eating bananas," PJ agreed. "Oh, hey cousin, what are you doing around," I asked seeing PJ. "Figured you needed backup just in case," he smiled coming over. "Okay so I will tell her, I read your book lately, and discovered you are tired of eating bananas," Sigmund rehearsed. "Perfect, and if you want to you can repeat it so that way you remember," Lauren suggested. "I will do that. I read your book lately, and discovered you are tired of eating bananas," he said drilling it into his head walking up to Natalie. "Anyone want to bet if this will work," I asked the others. They raised their hands in hope it would work.
Lauren's P.O.V.:
"Siggy," Natalie greeted him with a smile. "Oh Natalie, nice running into you again," he told her. "You as well," she replied shyly. "Uh hello," he smiled. "Hello," she replied. "Awkward," we said in unison. "Look, I wanted to tell you something lately but I read your banana and discovered you are tired of eating books," he blurted out. "What," she asked confused. I facepalmed and so did the others while Paul grunted really. Sigmund soon came back running over to us ready to leave. "Well that, didn't go as planned," Sean told us. "Yeah you got that right," we agreed. "Well, time for me to leave," Sigmund said ready to run off again. "Hold on up you two," I told them. "What," they shouted. "Don't give up hope just yet," Keith said before Lisa made a wordball. "We can help," we told them.
"How, is not like you can feed words of love into Sigmund's mouth," Annie told us. A lightbulb soon went off in my head. "Annie, you just gave me an idea," I told her. "I did," she asked confused. "She did," they asked. "Yeah come with me over by the basketball court and I'll explain," I said leading the others to the court through the park. "So what are you getting at Lauren," Sean asked. "Well, I'm thinking that in order for Sigmund to talk to Natalie, he needs to be himself, which in a way he has," I started to explain.
"Yes but what about the talking part," Annie asked. "I was getting to it. So, if there is a moment during the conversation where Sigmund starts to fluster a little. Lisa can throw a word ball with what he is supposed to say and it will seem to her that Sigmund is talking with Natalie," I told them. "Not bad, Lauren I like it," Sigmund smiled. "Thanks," I grinned. "But won't Natalie know what were doing," PJ asked. "Nope. This is where you guys come into play. Keith, you play with basketball with Paul and Hector can join you. PJ you can keep score for them," I said planning it out.
"Alright, works for me," they agreed. "Okay, hey Sean can you hand me my phone," I asked my friend. "It's in your pocket Lauren," he told me. "Oh my bad," I said getting it out and dialed Hector's number. "Hello," Hector sounded on the line. "Hey Hector, can you stop by the basketball court for a bit," I asked him. "I was on my was there sis. I'll meet you guys there," he said hanging up the phone after I did. "What did Hector say," Jess asked. "He's on the way to help us," I told them. They smiled and soon we got into position for the plan to work, hopefully. Hector came over before Natalie did.
"Hey, guys you needed me by the court," Hector asked. "Yeah were trying to help Sigmund talk to his crush but it's a little crazy, think you can shoot some hoops with Paul and Keith," I asked. "Sure can," he smiled grabbing the basketball and joining the guys and gorilla on the court. I looked over to see Natalie coming over with the wagon. "Here she comes guys places," I called and everyone got into position hoping this plan would work. Sean and I ducked behind a fence by the court and honestly this was going to be fun to watch. "I still can't believe they got bit by the lovebug and won't even tell one another how they feel," Sean told me as Hector talked with Lisa but flustered as well when trying to say he liked her. "Yeah but sometimes the love bug can get you that's for sure," I smiled before hearing the guitar and other instruments come back for the song.
Lauren singing, Sean joining in
I guess they can't get it out of their mind (Can't get her out of their mind) But they feel the love that is so close. Both are beautiful even when they all just try, (they don't, don't even try). Honesty is just so hard to find.

Annie's P.O.V.:
I hope this plan the Electric Company put together works. I know Uncle Sigmund loves Natalie but it shouldn't be the fact that its going downhill which I hope not. "So remind me of this plan one more time please," Sigmund asked as I straightened his tie. "You are going to go over to Natalie and talk with her just be yourself. But, if you do get flustered and start to feel confused, Lisa will be making a word ball and throw what you are supposed to say got it," I asked my uncle. "Got it. Okay, let's do it," he said walking the opposite direction. "Uh Uncle Sigmund, Natalie is that way," I said pointing to the right. "Oh sorry," he realized and walked over to her. Hope this works.
Lauren's P.O.V.:
I could see Sigmund heading over to Natalie while Sean was with PJ holding onto a cup of hot chocolate. "Hey guys, Sigmund is heading over to Natalie now, I think this might work," I told them as they came closer to where I was. "Hello Natalie," Sigmund greeted. "Hello Siggy, I wasn't sure if you would be coming back after what happened," she told him. "Yeah sorry about that, but I, I," he started to sound flustered but Lisa to the rescue. "What are you doing right now," he asked her. "Well, I'm observing this gorilla here and I think it's remarkable of what he's doing communicating with humans and all," she replied.
"Oh interesting uh, uh is it alright if I join you in observing him," Sigmund asked. "Of course. The more the merrier," she smiled and handed him the binoculars as they observed together. Sean, PJ and I smiled as we watched them interact. "I have to admit, this went smoother than I thought it would," I told Sean. "Yeah. Lisa definitely gets credit points for this, kudos to her," Sean agreed. PJ cleared his throat and looked at us. "And Annie," we both agreed. We looked to see Paul now playing the piano while Keith and Hector were dancing which I did not expect. "Well, that went quicker than we thought," I told the others. "Yep, sure did," they agreed.
"I think if I may be wrong but he must be playing a sad, song within his soul," Sigmund told Natalie and we just looked at him in shock. "Did he just say that," I asked. "Yeah he did," Sean agreed. "You guys told him to say that did you," PJ asked after me. "No," the two of us answered. "Hmm, that's weird," PJ shrugged and we agreed. "He's playing a love song to a young woman who caught his eye which he can't ask out on a date," he told her. "Well, why not," she asked. "Because he's trying to speak and sadly I'm too shy," he admitted. "Wait what," Hector asked behind me.
"What are you doing behind me," I asked. "Musical number," he answered. "I can't find the words to tell you but wait a second did I say I," he asked. "Yeah you said I," I answered as we looked on. "Moment of truth," Sean mumbled as Lisa threw a word ball. "I like you Natalie, You are great," I read. "Nice. Hope this works," PJ said crossing his fingers as Keith joined in. Soon, we heard him fluster. "Here we go again," Hector muttered. "Hold on, he is supposed to say I like you Natalie, you are great," Lisa and Annie sung together desperately. "Sigmund, you okay," she asked. "May I fix your hat? It doesn't seem straight," he asked her.
"Well it's official," I started to say. "He choked," PJ added. "Big Time," Hector said agreeing. I looked at him. "What? Normally you make all the Big Time Rush puns, so it's my turn," he answered. "Okay I'll give you that one," I smiled. "You know I bet the ape will tell me how he feels someday," Natalie predicted. "True and I agree," Sigmund smiled. "Well, I must admit Sigmund, it was nice spending time with you. Thanks for observing the gorilla with me," Natalie told him. "Oh my pleasure and you know it reminded me of 2nd grade trip when we sat together, memories," he recalled. "Yep memories and I started to feel oh geez, look at the time. I got to head to the library and sign some books," she told him. "Okay," he smiled. "I have an extra ticket for the signing if you want to stop by," she told him. "Thank you for that Natalie, I would love to come. I must admit I got flustered and honestly forgot about my lines," he said. "Uh oh," we realized. "What do you mean Sigmund," she asked. "Well what I mean is," he started to say but couldn't explain. "Someone was placing words in your mouth," she asked shocked. "Uh no, no. It's just that I think you might not like me," he admitted. "Only one way to understand is on the cover of my book," she told him before walking away. "Honestly that didn't go as well as they hoped I think," I told the others. "Yeah honestly I agree," they said.
Lisa's P.O.V.:
"Well that went down the drain and backfired," I told Annie. "Yeah but how in the world are we going to get those two together," she asked. "Well we can agree on one thing, I think we need to be careful with the word balls when trying to put something in someone's mouth when really they should speak," Lauren said walking over. "She's right but how does this explain the feelings part is what I'm stumped on," Annie questioned. "Why don't we head to the library and see if we can figure something out," Sean suggested. "Not a bad idea," I told him as we walked back to the library with the whole gang in toe. "I still can't believe it didn't work as well," I sighed. People lined up for the book signing and Natalie came by a few seconds later yet looked over at us including Sigmund with pity eyes. I guess the first idea didn't work as well.
Lauren's P.O.V.:
Sean and I agreed as we sat with Hector while Sigmund picked daises saying she loves me not. Keith and Annie were on either side. "How long has that been going on," I asked. "An hour," Hector replied. "And almost out of his daisy supply," Keith agreed when I looked at him. "For crying out loud guys, the Electric Company is supposed to be thinking of this one," I said speaking up and they looked at me. "Lauren's right," Jess added. "Yeah and I think your wrong Sigmund, she does like you," Lisa told him.
"No use, loves me not guys we tried," he admitted. "Well, I think we didn't try hard enough," Hector said to us. "What do you mean Hector," Sean asked. "What I mean is and if I recall correctly, didn't Natalie say its all spelled out on the cover of her book," Hector said to us. "Yeah so," I started to say and then I realized what he meant. "The book cover. There has to be a clue on there," I told them.
"Not sure Lauren. All I can tell you guys she has feelings for gorillas. Look at the cover I heart Melvin, Ursula, Desmond, Ivan and all that blah," Sigmund told us. "I think that is so Hector when he tries to talk with Lisa," Sean muttered. "Sean," Hector told him. "Okay, but what are you getting at Sigmund," Keith asked. "The thing I'm getting at is, I would do anything to be a gorilla," he complained.
"Look again at the book," I said holding the book. "What do you mean," he asked. "See how she named her gorilla friends," Lisa asked placing it on the stairs with her skills. "No, I see words," he admits. "Well look more closely," Lisa told him. Sigmund soon gasped. "Oh I do see, now. I think I get it," he said to us. "I don't," Jess, PJ and Shock told us.
Song comes in again
L+S: Guess they never even figured out, that love is there and what is meant to be. Suddenly its there and why can't they speak. Or better yet, why can't they even see? (Silent guitar build up then stops though you could hear an electric guitar)
"I got it. Lisa can you remove the names but leave the first letters in it," Keith asked Lisa. "Sure," she smiled and removed them. "I love mudsing? Don't get it," PJ read. "No I see something the words are scrambled," Annie said and stomped her foot. "Sigmund. Uncle Sigmund she does love you," Annie gasped. "She does," he asked. "Yeah I guess she knew from the beginning," I added. "Guess so, now it's time you get to her, be a man and her how you feel uncle Sigmund," Annie encouraged. "I'll do it," he smiled before running his way to the line. "I was almost going to encourage him while singing Be a Man," Sean sung. "Okay, I give you that," I told my friend.
"Hey Lauren, Sean you guys got a second," Hector said looking at me. "Yeah big brother. What's up," I asked. "I'm realizing now I honestly need to tell her how I feel," he said staring at Lisa. "You mean," I asked. "I have to be a man and suck it up," he told us. "Your going to do it," Sean asked. "I am," he smiled and walked over to Lisa. "Jess, it's happening," I called to my sister as she came over.
Hector's P.O.V.:
"Hey Lisa, got a second," I asked going to her. "Yeah Hector what's up," she told me. "All this time, there is something I meant to tell you for a while," I said starting to explain. "Go on," she said looking confused.
Sigmund's P.O.V.:
"Natalie look about earlier, I want to apologize about the word balls. I admit it wasn't the bad idea in the tool box," I said to her going to the front of the line. "I know Sigmund, it wasn't your idea but what are you getting at," she asked. "What I'm getting at is. I get so flustered around you because," I said to her. "Because why," she wondered.
Lisa's P.O.V.:
"Go on," I said to Hector. "What I'm trying to say is or where I'm going is," he started to say and stopped. "Oh for crying out loud, TELL THEM YOU GUYS," Lauren, Jess, Keith, Sean, PJ, Annie and Shock shouted. "Tell me what," I said. "I like you Lisa more like I have feelings for you," Hector admitted. "You do," I asked stunned.
Sigmund's P.O.V.:
"I have feelings for you Natalie," I admitted. "What," everyone asked behind me. "Did he just say that out loud guys," Natalie asked. "Uh yeah he did," Annie cheered. "Anyway that's all I wanted to say, have a safe trip back to Africa Natalie," I said before leaving. "Sigmund wait," she called. "Why," I asked her. "I've been thinking about staying and not going back to Africa," she admitted. "What do you mean? I- I thought you liked it," I said stunned.
"Well I do but Brooklyn is my home and honestly it's hard to find a more interesting gorilla than Paul," Natalie told me as Paul came over and grunted agreeing. "Plus if you look carefully at my book," she said. "Oh I did. I guess earlier I should have looked more closely but the Electric Company and Annie helped me out with the clues. Thanks guys," I smiled. "So it sounds like you knew," she asked me. "I knew," I told her. "Man. Now I'm flustered and honestly it's a good reason for me to stay," she said.
Hector's P.O.V.:
"Hector wait, how long did you have this," Lisa asked me. "Ever since I met you when I was nine. You were so kind, caring, cute and I couldn't tell my feelings but they made me so," I explained. "Trapped like you couldn't say something," she asked. "Yeah trapped. I'm sorry I should have told you but I got flustered around you and now I need to be a man yet tell you how I feel. I like you a lot and have feelings for you LISA HEFFENBAUCER," I screamed to everyone who smiled. Jess, Lauren and the gang including Annie smiled and gave me thumbs up after I said that. "So honestly, I was wondering if you were interested afterwards, want to go on a date," I asked. "Yes," she smiled.
Sigmund's P.O.V.:
"So Natalie, would you like to stay," I asked her. "I would love it very much Sigmund," she smiled and everyone began to applaud and cheer as this happened. Lisa and Annie highfived then almost hugged but realized it was too much.
Lauren's P.O.V.:
"Well Jess, I can't believe I'm saying this but we were right. Love can get to them," I smiled at my sister. "Yeah but that means I owe you a manicure," she smiled. "Actually, I gave up on the bet but you deserve the manicure Jess," I told her. "You did," she said shocked. "Yeah. I think it's time I take something else head on," I said with a grin. Hector came over with Lisa and the two were holding hands. "Well guys, it worked," Hector smiled. "I knew it would Hector," I cheered for my brother. "Yep and I can't say I haven't been more confident," he told us. "More confident to take a song back to the diner," Sean asked as the guitar came back again.

Sean: Now they're
(Guitat solo and rose petals fell over everybody as they walked back to the diner.
Lauren: Now this is how you end Valentine's Day my friend!
Sean: Sure is Lauren. Come on guys, get over here. (Dancing in the diner) Yeah, Oh!
Guitar brings out the music again.
Hector: This is awesome.
Sean: What do you say Lauren, take it home?
Lauren: Let's take it home Sean. Come on guys you sing it with us (Lauren and Sean jump onto the stage)

Lauren's P.O.V.:
Sean and I just rocked the song as everyone cheered for us. I couldn't believe still Hector admitted, he loves Lisa! It's a shocker if you ask me. Sigmund, Annie and Natalie came by after Sean and I sat down. "Hey, wanted to thank you again for your help. I feel great," he told us. "Glad we could help," I smiled. "Yep. Now if you'll excuse me, the two of us have a date," he smiled. "Have fun," Hector told him as they sat in front of the diner and Annie sat with Lisa.
From the window, she could watch her uncle and Natalie interact and it was awesome. "So Annie, feels good to help doesn't it," Jess asked. "Uh whatever. Don't even know what your talking about," she replied. Back to square one again. Shock came by and saw what was happening and Hector couldn't be more proud as he smiled at Lisa. "You know Hector. I'm glad things worked out in the end," I told my brother. "Yeah good things you admitted you like Lisa dude. Any plans for the first date," Shock asked. "Not sure but I got some ideas brewing but thanks to you guys for telling me to be a man for once. I have to admit, felt nice," he smiled.
"Yeah it did," Keith said with a grin. "Hey Lauren, can you and Sean sing the chorus of Lovebug one more time to wrap up today," Leo asked us. Sean and I could hear the guitar starting up again and we looked at each other. "Oh what the heck why not," I smiled as we got up on the stage. "Let's take it home Sean," I told him. "You bet Lauren and Happy Valentine's Day," he told me. "You as well buddy. Now their speechless," I started to sing as everyone gathered around the stage and danced as we ended Valentine's Day on a love note knowing the love bug might strike again soon.

Sorry if I hadn't been posting in a while, been super busy but hope you enjoy and honestly, I couldn't figure out a way to get Big Time Rush at the end of this so I'm leaving it for now but they will be mentioned in the chapters throughout the story.
