Filler: Lauren and Sean discuss the truth
Lauren's P.O.V.:
Sean and I were completely in a bind after yesterday when Hector asked if that was Danny waving to us. I paced around my room back and forth trying to figure out how to keep this secret some more. Sean sat on my bed as I lashed out my feelings. "I don't know what to do Sean, Hector almost found out that we were friends with Danny and if he finds out, I'm grounded," I told my buddy. "Well, why don't you tell him the truth and be honest," Sean suggested. "I would but I'm afraid he's going to get in brother bear mode like last time. I just don't want it to end badly," I admitted. "Come on Lauren, I know you mean well but he's your brother and families should not be keeping secrets," Sean told me.
"I know that part but some secrets," I said. "Are sworn to secrecy I know but tell him the truth," he pleaded. "I'm scared," I admitted. "Scared why," Sean asked. "You saw what happened last time with Jess right," I told Sean. "Yeah," he said. "My point is I don't want him to over react like he did with Jess. That's what I'm worried about," I told him honestly. "Okay. I know this wouldn't come to this but we need an expert to help us with this," Sean told me getting his cell phone. "Please don't tell me your calling Will," I told him. "I'm calling Will. We need backup," he answered and dialed Will's number. Why do I tell Sean don't call Will when honestly he may not know?
Will's P.O.V.:
I was hanging out with my friends at the community center when my phone started ringing. "Hey guys, I need to step out for a second, got to take this," I told my buddies. "You got it Will," Sam told me as I stood outside and answered my phone. "Sean what's up man," I greeted knowing Sean called. "Hey buddy. We need your help you got a minute," he asked. "Depends on what type of help," I replied. "It's the big one. Telling the truth," he answered. "What you got," I questioned. "It's Lauren. Basically, were in a bind. She and I are friends with Danny Rebus," he told me. "On my way," I said hanging up before going to the door. "Hey guys, see you in a bit," I called out to them.
"Where in the world are you going Will? You still have to break dance," Kelli called back. "Got a help a friend guys and to be quite honest, Hector might be going into brother bear mode," I answered. "Who," everyone asked. "I'll explain when I get back," I said running out the door over to the Ruiz apartment and knocked on the door. Hector soon opened the door. "Hey Will what are you doing here dude," Hector asked. "Sean called. He asked for backup," I answered. "Backup for what," he asked. "Uh, I don't know. Needed my help," I shrugged. "Lauren and Sean are in her room if your looking for them," Hector told me. "Thanks dude," I called stepping inside the house and soon went over to Lauren's room to find her and Sean on the bed. "Hey, got the message as soon as I could. Thanks for calling for backup," I told them. "No need. Figured you would be here to help us my friend," Sean smiled.
Sean's P.O.V.:
"Okay so according to you and from what I heard on the phone is you two are friends with Danny Rebus one of the Pranksters," Will asked out loud. "Shush, close the door, close the door," Lauren and I shushed Will as we closed the door to her room. "Guys, why are you closing the door," Will asked. "Hector's not supposed to know that's why," Lauren snapped. "Lauren," I told her. "Sorry. I'm nervous and stressed to tell him the truth about this besides I don't want him to go in brother bear mode again," Lauren admitted. "What's brother bear mode," Will asked confused. "It's when Hector becomes overprotective of Lauren and Jess. He promised her father and older brother he wouldn't do it while they were gone," I explained. "But he sort of got into it when the Mighty Bright Knight convention was in town and Jess had to call him out for it. She had every right to do so," Lauren said adding to the story. "Okay but how does that explain the friend part? I just don't understand," Will said. "Well, all of this started after the bug scenario," I started to say.
Will's P.O.V.:
"Hold on you mean the one where the Electric Company sort of "admitted" they were cowards," I asked recalling it. "Again it was on the wall of a building thanks to Danny. Anyway, we decided to trap Francine and somehow we talked about having things in common and we just clicked," Lauren explained. "So somehow you became friends because you had things in common with one another," I clarified. "Exactly. But with this close call now, I'm not sure how Hector is going to take this. Besides, he took it the wrong way with Jess and vowed never to get in brother bear mode again," Sean added. "Well, would you have told him in the first place," I asked honestly. "Maybe but there's no way to turn back time now," Lauren replied. "Hmm. Maybe I should get someone in on this. Hold on," I said pulling out my phone. "What are you doing," Sean asked. "Calling a friend," I replied dialing a number.
"Hello," a voice sounded on the line. "Hey Sam it's Will," I told him. "Hey buddy, doing okay. We were surprised you left so sudden," he answered. "Yeah I would be back but this is harder than I thought. Is Harry there by any chance," I asked. "He is. Hold on," Sam told him before getting Harry on the line. "Hey Will," a voice greeted him with a smile. "Hey Harry, thanks again for picking up. Sorry I left so sudden when I was supposed to dance," I apologized. "No need to apologize dude, everything happens. So, how can I help," he asked. "Well I'm with my friends/classmates Lauren Ruiz and Sean Matthews. They are in a pickle somewhat," I told him.
"What do you mean pickle," he asked. "Well to put it honestly, they are friends with Danny Rebus, one of the Pranksters. Now you and I both know that he had some history with Hector, Lauren's brother you met him before as a young boy but their concerned that if Hector finds out they are friends," I started to say. "I would be grounded and he would go into brother bear mode," Lauren added in. "Ah. I see and what's brother bear mode," he wondered. "Don't ask," Lauren and Sean answered. "Okay, honestly like Will mentioned Lauren, I knew your brother when he was nine and to be quite honest, you kept it secret so long but one of these days it'll come out," he told us. "What's the point exactly Harry? Either way Hector will find out and be at mad at me," Lauren asked groaning. "Be honest and tell him the truth besides, it doesn't matter who you can be friends with," he told us. "True but Hector cares deeply for his family and doesn't like it when families keep secrets," Sean added.
"So, you've been keeping it secret since that day," Harry asked. "Yeah pretty much. I love my brother more than anything but I just don't know what do now, guess I'll have to face the music," Lauren shrugged. "Hold on Lauren, what I mean to tell you and Sean is yes if he known earlier than yeah it would be easy but just know you got to set things right and do the next right thing. I guarantee you and Sean will be happy that way," he advised us.
"I think we'll do that," Sean smiled. "Yeah I think I know what to do now. Thanks Harry," Lauren told him. "My pleasure. Come by and visit if you guys want to, I love to meet you guys," he told them. "They will Harry, I'll be on my way back. Save that dance floor for me," I smiled. "You know it Will, take care guys," he said to us. "Thanks Harry take care," we said to him before hanging up. "Know what your going to do Lauren," I asked her. "Yep. Thanks again for the help buddy," she smiled. "No need. Let Hector know my friends and I can be extras in the video," I told them leaving Lauren's room and heading back to the community center.
Lauren's P.O.V.:
I walked over to Hector's room to see him sitting at his desk working on homework. "Hey Hector, you got a minute," I asked peeking my head in. "Sure sis, anything for you, come in," he smiled. I soon walked into his room and closed the door. "So what's up? I saw Will at the door and then the house felt silent minus Jess talking with Jules over Facechat," he asked. "Can we talk for a second. There's something I need to get off my chest and I fear you would go into," I started to say. "Brother bear mode," he asked. "Yeah," I nodded. "I'm listening Lauren," he said to me.
Hector's P.O.V.:
"Look Hector, what I'm, about to say is something you may not like and I understand you have every right to over react and ground me," Lauren started to say. "What are you talking about Lauren, did you do something bad," I asked. "No. It's just well," she said hesitating. "What is it Lauren," I asked. "Sean and I are friends with Danny Rebus," she blurted. "What did you say," I asked confused and shocked. "Sean and I are friends with Danny Rebus. Not like best friends but friends. Please don't be mad," she said to me. "Why would I be mad sis? I'm surprised," I said. "Well, I know you had history with Danny and it didn't end well and if you saw me and Sean hanging with him, you wouldn't like it then you wouldn't talk to me," she explained. "Laur, why would you think that? You and Sean hangout with me all the time with the Electric Company even here at home. It's okay to be friends with other people even though I have history with them," I told her.
"I know Hector and I'm sorry for keeping this secret so long. Ever since yesterday it became a breaking point for Sean and I," Lauren apologized. "I understand but when did this start," I wondered. "It was during the bug thing," Sean said coming in. "You mean with cousin Louis," I asked. "Yeah that's how it started. Look I know your upset, and you have every right to be but, I love you so much Hector," she told me with a smile.
Lauren's P.O.V.:
"I know Lauren and I am upset that you kept this hidden from me for so long. You know you could have told me that day saying hey I'm friends with Danny just to let you know. My point being, don't worry. I'm fine and you can be friends with whoever you want to be. It doesn't have to be secret just know if you need to tell me something, come talk," Hector explained. "So your not mad just upset," Sean clarified. "Yes, but I still love you guys. Now Lauren," he told me. "I know punishment," I smiled. "How about one day without electronics," he asked. "Can we make it two instead," I wondered. "Two would work for me. Why two then sis," he asked. "Figured I need to learn my lesson," I shrugged. "That you do. Love you Lauren," Hector said hugging me. "Love you Hector. Oh before I forget Will said he and his friends can be extras in the video," I told Hector. "Perfect," he smiled. "Hector, Shock and Mario are here," Jess called. "Coming," he said before leaving his room.
I smiled knowing this went better than expected. Back in my room, I was relieved that it was amazing to know Hector cares for me still. Arthur was sleeping soundly on my bed as I looked at the coin and small lion statue on my dresser. "Do you think it means something Arthur," I whispered to my dog as he perked up before licking me. "You think your going to tell Hector about those soon," Sean asked me. "Think so Sean but maybe once the video stuff simmers down, then I should tell him," I said and he looked me. "Okay then again, I'm telling him tomorrow," I admitted. "But you must feel better after telling Hector the truth," Sean said. "Yep. Feel much better," I grinned at my best friend. "Hey Lauren, Sean can you guys come here for a second? We want you to see some choreography," Mario called to us.
"Coming," we shouted back and soon left my room. I was almost out the door when I heard a golden voice, "You did the right things dear one, know this maybe harder than you think," I looked at the lion statue and wondered did that just speak. I shrugged and soon joined my friend working on the dance for the Electric Company video.
Here this is guys! A filler after the doughnuts chapter for you. Figured it was time to get the dust cleared on the issue and the others will know in the next chapter which I will write soon! Anyway Happy New Year to all, and I want to dedicate this filler to my dog Buster. As some of you know, one year ago this week he had to be put down and I loved him so much. Buster, this is for you my buddy. I love you so much.
