Chapter 4
Tracey had arrived at Daphne's flat around four in the afternoon to start getting ready. The two girls were really regretting not speaking to Susan about the dress code, but the sense was that if the party was among friends then surely no one would be wearing dresses or ball gowns, so something a little more simple might befit the pair of Slytherins' better.
"Do you still have that dark green jumper? I think I'd like to feel some Slytherin pride tonight as the only two in attendance." Tracey said with a grin.
Daphne rolled her eyes, "I just wore it yesterday to dinner with Astoria, but feel free to cast some freshening charms on it. I don't think we will be the only Slytherin's in attendance though. Harry told me that Professor Slughorn and himself are on good terms, and Slughorn fought he-who-must-not-be-named in the final battle, so we won't be completely alone."
Looking at herself in a conjured full length mirror Tracey nodded her head, "I think I like that you and Potter are on a first name basis. That's cute." Daphne rolled her eyes as her best friend continued to rant, "Also old Sluggy probably lives for this gathering then. With so many powerful families, and now having his golden boy on top of the world it must be like a dream come true for him."
Daphne tried not to giggle at the bitterness of her best friend. Tracey had always been bitter that she never received an invitation to the Slug Club. She knew she didn't have the grades or the family connections to get in on anything but her own merit, but she always held a grudge against their Head of House for not inviting her on principal, "Well maybe you can finally give him the earful he deserves for not inviting one of Slytherin's most attractive witches to our old club."
Shaking her head like it sounded like a good idea made Daphne inwardly groan, hoping her best friend would not do anything crazy or get too drunk at the gathering. Tracey, like Daphne, had been working a lot of hours, and being each other's only real friends these days meant that Tracey did not get to let her hair down and have a good time very often. After all, most of their friends were either killed in the final battle, or fled the country in exile when it was all over.
"By the way we haven't had the opportunity to talk about the conversation you had with my mother." Daphne said with an even expression as she discarded a cardigan she thought about adding to her outfit.
"Which one? I talk to your mum more than you do I think." Tracey said with a glance towards her best friend in the mirror.
Turning her expression into a slight glare Daphne said, "The one where you mentioned that I operated on Harry Potter, and saved his life. Where you also mentioned the people who had brought him in."
She could tell Tracey swallowed nervously at her comments, "Oh that conversation…" Daphne waited for several moments before Tracey continued, "It was just such a wild night, and I was so proud of you, and I guess I just wanted to tell someone all the details…"
The Greengrass heir immediately retreated in her hostilities. Tracey wasn't on the best terms with either of her parents. Her father was a University professor at Oxford, and did not initially know that Tracey's mom was a Muggleborn witch who had returned to the muggle world after Hogwarts. The man found out on Tracey's fifth birthday when she began exhibiting a burst of accidental magic. The man was furious to discover his wife had kept such secrets from him and promptly filed for a divorce. Her father looked in on Tracey from time to time, and would usually get together once or twice a year around each other's birthday to catch up, but it wasn't much of a relationship. Tracey's mum on the other hand raised her until she was eleven, and it was time for her to go to Hogwarts. The woman offered Tracey a choice of whether she wanted to attend the ancient school or not, but she made it clear to the young girl that her life in the Wizarding World was over, and she wanted no part of it in the future. It made for quite the rough foundation when Tracey would return home from Hogwarts over the Summer which led her to spending most of her time at Greengrass Manor.
Deciding not to attack for the unprofessional nature of her gossip Daphne merely sighed, "Maybe next time you want to gossip try Astoria instead. She would've been just as excited, and probably wouldn't tell half the planet or anyone that could listen about Harry Potter's health, entourage, and who saved his life."
Tracey had the decency to look ashamed, so Daphne didn't pursue it any further, "What do you think of this necklace?"
The two spent the next hour getting ready, and making sure their hair was done properly, and that their makeup was better than they had likely done it in sometime. Tracey had decided on Daphne's green jumper, and a nice pair of jeans that hugged her legs nicely. She was wearing a set of dangling emerald earrings that Daphne's mother had gifted to her for a graduation gift. Daphne on the other hand followed her lead on the jeans, but decided upon a black blouse that had buttons going up to above her bustline, and allowed a pretty small chain necklace that her father had gifted to her with the words Perserverantia Vincit inscribed on a charm. It simply meant Perseverance Succeeds. The outfit was modest, and she hoped they hadn't misstepped by forgetting to ask Susan just what the attire of the evening would be.
The party was beginning at six, so the duo decided six fifteen could be considered fashionably late, and walked over to the Floo Network to whisk across the country to Essex. Tracey had insisted on Daphne going first so when she was the first to step out of the fireplace she immediately began looking around in interest.
Most floo addresses dropped you in the library, or the living room, but the Potter's seemed to like having their guests actually arrive at the entrance to their home. On the left were two large Iron Doors that looked like they led to the front entranceway, and on the right was a long wide hallway that stretched the length of the manor style home. Further down she could see a staircase that would take you to the upper floors, and in front of her was a wall, and an entranceway that seemed to go into some type of sitting room.
As Daphne was admiring Tracey had stepped through the fireplace and whistled lowly, "Feels like going home huh Daph?"
Realizing that Tracey was right, Daphne merely hummed in agreement. The feeling of the place they were in was much like Greengrass Manor. The feeling was that of being an oversized home for so few people to live in, but still feeling the need to uphold the ancestral history of a family home.
Daphne asked quietly, hearing voices down the hall, "Where do you think we should go?"
Suddenly a small pop was heard and a house elf was standing before them, "Good evening Miss and Miss, Master Potter and his friends are in the old family ballroom if you are prepared to join the party. Pinky would be happy to show you the way."
The elf was female, and seemed much healthier than the normal elves she had seen in old Pureblood families, Tracey gave a nod to the elf and began following the little creature that had already begun bustling down the hallway.
Daphne was trying to take the place in as they crossed the hall, and made their way to the middle of the house. She noticed old family portraits hanging up of the Potter ancestry, and other paintings possibly done by past family members or famous Wizarding Artists. There was occasionally an old wand in a trophy like case hanging halfway up the wall, or other assortments of various trophies one of which she thought looked like the Locket of Salazar Slytherin.
Before the young witch could attempt to observe the locket in the case the house elf turned into a doorway forcing the two women to follow in order to keep up. Upon entering the next area it was clear that a large gathering of people were already lounging around across the massive room. There were tables sprawled across the ballroom, some were large enough that they could sit a dozen, and others were smaller so maybe only sitting four or five. There was a long table in the middle though of what appeared to have been where the dance floor would be, and various foods, drinks, and punches were available.
There was also a large bar top in the front of the room where a few witches and wizards she instantly recognized were sitting. A grumpy looking old house elf was also sitting behind the bar serving out drinks to people as requests came in. Tracey whistled quietly, "Hell of a party venue in the middle of the house. Even the Malfoy's don't have anything like this."
Daphne nodded her head realizing she was right of course. The room was huge, and the setup was beyond what she was expecting. There were easily thirty people already milling about in the room, and most she recognized, but a few she didn't.
It seemed the entirety of the survivors from Gryffindor house were there. She recognized Dean Thomas and George Weasley being the only two males she had not seen recently. As far as Gryffindor females go she knew Hermione was the only survivor in her year, but recognized some of the old quidditch players like Demelza Roberts, Angelina Johnson, and Alicia Spinnet. Others she began to recognize as the large and assorted Weasley family, and Ravenclaw plus Hufflepuff members of Harry's defense group back at Hogwarts.
It thankfully didn't take long for them to find Harry who was holding a little boy in his arms affectionately as the little boy talked him senseless. The boy appeared to be five or six years old at least, and the woman whom the child most likely belonged to stood across from him had light brown hair, and had a lovely face for what appeared to be an older woman. She was one of the few Daphne didn't recognize at all. The trio were all smiling brightly though, and when Harry saw Daphne and Tracey standing in the back of the room uncomfortably he immediately put the boy down, and made his way over to them, "Tracey, Daphne, thanks for coming. Please help yourselves to anything you want. I can give you a tour a bit later if you want. The house is pretty cool, and there's a couple places where you can see the grounds, which have a few magical beasts you can see wandering around."
Tracey, who was in awe of the place, asked, "Do you actually live here?"
Harry chuckled, "Oh Merlin no. I would be calling Blinky every ten seconds trying to find where I left anything. We just hold parties, and holidays here. My friends and family love Potter Manor so I always host. I live in London actually. A decent sized flat that is much more modest and easy to keep clean."
Daphne though hadn't stopped looking at the little boy Harry had sat down, "Harry, who is that little boy you were holding?"
Harry lit up at the question, "That's my Godson Teddy. He is here with his grandmother Andromeda Tonks who looks after him. Obviously neither of them were at the battle, but both his parents were, so they get invited every year to honor the fallen, and celebrate with us."
Tonks Daphne thought. She had met an auror once in Hogsmeade named Tonks. Pink bubblegum hair, bought her a drink because she accidentally knocked Daphne's out of her hand when she stumbled into her. It was lucky the drink didn't end up on her, but the auror was very apologetic and did replace it. She briefly wondered who the father of the boy was, and how Harry knew them well enough to become the Godfather.
Susan came up from behind floating three drinks without a wand in an impressive display of magic, "Have a drink with me ladies. Our host needs to attend to something."
Harry looked confused at Susan, but she motioned her head towards the door to see Luna Lovegood, Ginny Weasley, and a man she did not recognize at first. The man was tall and strong built, and had a nice smile on his face. He was certainly handsome, Daphne thought, and Harry looked pleased to see him, which was not a reaction she would've expected when you see a good looking person with your ex, "Susan is right ladies. Please excuse me, I will be back."
Harry went over towards the trio, and the man exclaimed, "Harry!"
Daphne heard Harry say a name, but didn't quite catch it as the two clapped hands and embraced quickly before separating. Another round of hugs ensued between Harry and Luna, and a more awkward hug between Ginny and Harry. Tracey asked, "Who is that hunk that the little Weasley brought in?"
Susan chuckled, "Oliver Wood. Daphne, you said you read Witch Weekly? I am surprised you didn't recognize him."
The name instantly clicked in her mind, "That's Oliver Wood? I don't think I've seen him in person since our third year at Hogwarts. He was Harry's first quidditch captain wasn't he?"
Susan nodded her head, "Yes. Very nice guy too. He invites Harry to tons of his games. They are still quite good friends. There shouldn't be much of a connection between him and Ginny unless they met at English Qualifiers to be on the National Team. By the time Ginny made the Quidditch team at Hogwarts Oliver had graduated."
Tracey asked, "Was Oliver at the battle?"
"Oh yes. You girls may not have joined in yet, but he made a hell of entrance. Led about twenty people on a broomstick into the fight. Harry's old quidditch team and some other alumni were among him. They were there for the entire second part, and arrived an hour into the fighting the first night. Saved our asses for sure." Susan said in remembrance.
Fascinated by the story the two Slytheim girls watched as the boys chatted amiably, and noticed Ginny Weasley had slipped her arm back into Olivers something the man seemed surprised about. Daphne noted the girl was wearing quite the immodest dress that hugged her body more tightly than most would classify as friendly gathering attire. Luna was in a simple sundress, and Oliver had been wearing a similar outfit to Harry with jeans and a flannel long sleeve.
Susan giggled, "I'm not so sure Ginny told him that they were coming together together."
This made Tracey giggle as well, but Daphne rolled her eyes at the lack of tact from the youngest Weasley, "This being Harry's home you would think one would behave in a more dignified manner."
"There's that inner Pureblood Princess." Susan joked.
Daphne sipped at her drink watching the interaction devolve and Harry returned to them after motioning towards the food and drinks for his newly arrived guests.
When Harry got back to the group Susan said, "Before you ask yes it's too early to break out the firewhiskey."
Harry groaned, "What if I break out the really good stuff?"
"Don't tempt me with a good time Potter." Tracey said with a grin.
Harry looked at Susan with pleading eyes, and she just rolled her eyes, "If I have to duel you later I am calling in at work for a week straight."
This made the man grin and called out a name softly, "Clyde."
An old grumpy looking elf suddenly appeared in front of the small group, "Yes Master."
"Go into my personal stores in my room and pull out the 80, and fill four glasses?"
The question was aimed at Daphne who nodded quickly in acceptance and Harry repeated himself, "Four glasses please."
The elf disapparated, and Susan echoed, "The 80 Harry really? Who are you trying to get into your bedroom tonight?"
Harry just winked, "A man can dream big can't he."
This caused all three women to blush, and Harry laughed. Daphne couldn't believe the Saviour of the Wizarding World was talking this way. The quiet boy she knew of back in Hogwarts was nowhere to be seen, and before her was a battle hardened confident man. She was also very interested in the dynamic between Susan and Harry. She said they weren't a couple, but indicated there may have been something there at one point, but just from guess work she was thinking it wasn't something happening anymore or at least not very often.
Clyde the Elf appeared back with four glasses floating in air as he snapped his fingers allowing the glasses to float to each drinker. Harry grabbed his and held it out to the ladies before him, "To good luck, and the ones who couldn't be here with us tonight."
The girls pushed their glasses towards him, and touched them in cheers. All four took the drinks straight down, and Daphne was amazed that it didn't burn in the slightest, and the after taste was reminiscent of a campfire.
Harry sighed with content, "I wonder how many more times I am going to have to do that before the night is over."
Tracey nearly moaned at the taste of her drink, "As many times as you want, and please make sure I am around when you do. That was the most amazing firewhiskey I have ever had, and I have drunk with the wealthiest purebloods, so that wasn't something money can just buy."
Susan chuckled, "Harry got into collecting Firewhiskey a few years back. His dad had quite the stash."
Harry grinned, "That one was one of his from the year we were all born. I've only pulled it out a few times, but considering I wouldn't be alive today if it wasn't for Daphne here I thought the occasion special enough to pull it out."
Daphne blushed while Susan and Tracey both bumped her with smiles. A voice came from behind them at this, "Ah Ms. Greengrass, Ms. Davis, it is good to be among some of my own house peers."
Professor Horace Slughorn was standing before them in a purple and black robes with a dark purple graduation looking hat. Daphne offered her hand to the man first, "Professor it is good to see you in good health."
Horace bowed his head as he took her hand in his, "And you Ms. Greengrass. Or should I say Healer Greengrass? Only two years out of training, and becoming among the best in the field. I told Hippocrates Smethwyck when he hired you that you would be the best staff choice he had made in two decades! Look at me, proven right just a few nights ago."
Harry raised his glass to the man, "I will toast you to that Professor."
Horace chuckled happily and turned to Tracey, "and you Ms. Davis, as stunning as ever. I hear you are working with Ms. Greengrass at St. Mungos."
Tracey gave the man a forced smile, "Yes sir. It is nice to get to work with my best friend most of our work days."
Daphne added at this, "Actually Professor Healer Bullstrode recently mentioned to me that she wanted me to work on Tracey's potion skills. We will be bringing a new batch of students in the coming months from the Hogwarts graduates, and she wants Tracey to start in the new apprentice class to become a real healer."
Tracey looked surprised at this admission as Daphne had not yet had a chance to speak with her about Tracey's opportunity coming up that Healer Bullstrode had mentioned to her. Horace smiled looking thoroughly pleased, "That is most excellent! If I remember correctly you were just a point or two off Exceeds Expectations on your OWL I trust you will have no problem with a good work ethic to make it up to a good healers level understanding of potions, and my office at Hogwarts is always open to you my dear if you need some help. Harry, my boy did you know Tracey was the one who treated my wound from the Acromantula bite during the battle."
All eyes went to Tracey who turned beet red at the attention of the small group, "No Professor I didn't. Acromantula venom is horrid, you are lucky you didn't lose your leg. Tracey must have been fast on the draw, and quite skilled in her response."
Daphne had never heard this story from Tracey and knew it must have been during the cease fire. After all, Horace was fine during the final confrontation with Voldemort, and she knew it must have seemed insignificant to Tracey at the time.
Tracey for her part looked pleased by the attention, and happy to be complimented in front of the group, "Well professor it was lucky Professor Hagrid had given us the most frightening lesson of my life in Care of Magical Creatures. I don't think I will ever forget as long as I live that Armadillo Bile is a good cure for the Acromantula venom."
Daphne was shocked by the admission. Armadillo Bile's main ingredient was in several healing potions for magical beasts but Daphne herself did not know that it was a cure to Acromantula venom.
Susan however asked, "Where on Earth did you find Armadillo Bile at Hogwarts during a siege?"
Tracey blushed at this and Horace bellowed with laughter drawing looks from nearby people, "She sent a sixth year Gryffindor student to my office to go get it. You should've seen the look on the poor boy's face. I think he feared she was going to yell at him for staying behind, but when she said she needed his help, he was very eager to help in any way he could."
Tracey's face darkened at the mention of the young man, and suddenly Daphne had a bad feeling when Harry flinched. Harry asked quietly, "It was Colin Creevey wasn't it?"
The mood dropped even lower at this. Everyone knew the name of the youngest casualty during the battle of Hogwarts. Harry said sadly, "Antonin Dolohov killed many good people that night including Remus Lupin, Nymphadora Tonks, Colin Creevey, Parvati, and Padma Patil."
There was a silence, and this time Susan spoke out placing a hand on Harry's arm, "Clyde."
The elf appeared, "Yes Madam Bones."
If Susan was uncomfortable being called her Aunt's infamous title she didn't show it, "Pull something from the family stores. The one Harry and I had last year."
"Excellent choice Madame." The elf said disappearing.
Silence came over the group and Daphne felt sorry for Tracey, and the dark mood that was casted over them by her story. The elf however appeared back quickly with five glasses this time all a little more full than the last. Harry reached out to grab his glass much more aggressively this time and proposed the toast, "To Fillius Flitwick. He killed Antonin Dolohov shortly after Colin went down. The bastard died screaming so to our good professor who I would never want to cross wands with."
Slughorn bellowed his agreement and clicked glasses with Harry and the girls. The thought that Harry Potter would never want to cross wands with the half goblin was slightly mind-boggling, and Daphne along with Tracey realized there can't be a much higher compliment than that. This glass was not quite as smooth as the last, but the flavor was a delicious oak taste with a slight heat at the end. Daphne realized that Harry Potter had exquisite taste in Firewhiskey and Tracey said, "Potter, if your taste in Firewhiskey is anything like your taste in food I think I need to visit the main table."
Harry grinned as he motioned the girl forward, "Come with me I will help you find all the stuff Blinky made. He's the best cook I've ever met. Served both my parents actually."
Offering his arm to Tracey the girl looked absolutely flattered, and followed the man towards the main table while Slughorn excused himself to continue socialising leaving Susan and Daphne alone.
Susan sighed, "I am glad you two are here. This is off to a much rougher start than the last two years though. Only an hour in, and it has gotten dark."
Daphne merely nodded as she followed Susan in grabbing a glass of wine from a house elf levitating glasses through the room. Daphne sipped her drink and said, "Alright Bones what's the deal. I am a prideful Slytherin and I love reading people. My dad and I used to make quite the game of it, but you and Potter are giving me the oddest vibes and I have no idea what to make of them!"
Daphne was certain the two glasses of firewhiskey and the glass of wine she had certainly helped her words come out more than she perhaps would normally have allowed, but Susan just smiled at her forwardness, "Now that's the girl I was speaking with the night we brought Harry in. You make occasional appearances in conversation, but you are quieter than I would've guessed after our first talk."
Daphne said nothing to this as Susan slowly circled her glass of wine in her hand. Susan was a beautiful woman. Even tonight in the most casual of fitted outfits she looked like an absolute bombshell with her long red hair, and body of an athlete that she must have developed working so hard in the auror department. A few more moments passed before Susan spoke, "So about six months after Ginny and Harry's breakup we were spending a lot of time together. We spend most of our days at work together obviously as partners, but I mean we were practically spending every minute together. The third year anniversary of the Battle came up and we were having the normal gathering with friends and family, and eventually we became the last two at the party. We were both drunk, and single for the first time since we had known each other, so you can probably guess what happened."
Susan sipped her drink some more as Daphne got the confirmation that she and Harry were having an intimate relationship. Susan chuckled, "Well it was amazing. We woke up the next morning and had no regrets, and went on like nothing changed. Of course we were shagging each other rotten every chance we had, but other than that nothing was different." She paused for a few moments before continuing, "Six months go by and we were having dinner here one night, and he asked me if I wanted to be in a relationship with him."
Daphne was floored by this and very confused why the two weren't half way down the aisle already. She was about to voice a question when Susan continued, "Well we had the longest moment of silence in history after he asked that while I contemplated whether I wanted to be the next Lady Potter or not, because I was pretty certain if we went down that road there would've been no going back. Neither of us would've ever wanted to hurt the other that way. The more I sat there and thought about it, the more I realized that Harry and I were too broken for each other. We were both orphans with no one left in the world, but our friends. Our kids wouldn't have grandparents, and they wouldn't have aunts or uncles, or cousins, and the truth was I couldn't do that to my future. So I asked him back if he wanted to be in a relationship, because I was fairly certain if he professed his love for me I would've said damn it all and ran with it."
Daphne was enraptured by their relationship and the story Susan was telling so she asked with great interest, "So what did he say?"
Susan snorted, "He told me as long as we didn't have to stop shagging he didn't really have a preference one way or the other."
This caused Daphne to actually laugh trying to imagine the Harry Potter she went to school with saying that. Susan chuckled along with her saying, "Well I think it's obvious at that point we both realized we didn't really have actual feelings for each other, and that other than having tons of fun together we both needed something else for our futures."
Daphne nodded her head processing the story, "Wow. That might be the most mature thing I've ever heard. Most people who hook up and have a good time are just happy with that."
Smiling now Susan looked over towards Harry, "For most that would probably be enough, but not us. Believe me I will probably end up with a muggle or muggle born who has loads of family, because I want to be a part of that again, and I desperately want it for my children."
In complete understanding now Daphne nodded her head, "I hope you find what you're looking for, and I pity the person whoever tries to cross you. If you leave anything left of the poor bastard I think Harry would finish him off."
This caused Susan to laugh this time, "Yes we are fiercely protective of each other. Should I be worried?"
This threw Daphne off and didn't even have time to formulate a proper response so dumbly said, "What?"
"You are awfully curious about Harry's love life. I was just thinking maybe you wanted a chance at him." Susan said with a slight grin.
Daphne immediately shook her head, "No not at all! I came tonight because I will be honest with you. I need more girlfriends, and Tracey desperately wanted to come too. I wasn't going to make her come alone."
Susan shrugged, "Well I can definitely help you there. I have enjoyed the few chats we've had. You have me for sure, and maybe when you meet the other girls you will bond with them too. It's too bad about Harry though, I think at least he's interested in your story."
Taking a bigger sip than normal of her drink Daphne said, "There isn't much to tell."
"I find that hard to believe." Susan said, and Daphne looked at her nervously making the girl chuckle, "Don't be nervous. You just have to remember Harry and I are aurors and we have made our profession out of figuring out people's stories. Yours sure is interesting. The Slytherin girl from the neutral faction fighting alongside what could've easily been the losers at the Battle of Hogwarts. The beautiful Pureblood Princess risked her life to side with us, and while I can appreciate the need to avenge some damage they did to your sister, because if they had ever gotten a hand on Hannah who is the closest thing I've got to one I would've wanted blood, but forgive me for saying that no one would risk it all just to get even. Especially because like you said the Carrows were already done for when you entered the fight."
Daphne looked worried as the auror before her continued talking, "Don't worry Daphne. We won't judge whatever your story is, but also know we won't try to pry it out of you. If you ever want to talk at least I know I will be willing to listen, and I know Harry is curious."
Feeling her throat was very dry, Daphne took a big final swig of her drink, "Thank you Susan."
The two had a short few minutes of silence before Susan asked, "Shall we join the rest of the party?"
Nodding her head with a smile Daphne said, "Yes please."
Susan threw her arm through Daphne's, "Good because I've already had enough doom and gloom for tonight, let's go see what interesting things we can learn from the others, and see who gets too drunk first."
(A/N) Hello and welcome to the completion of Chapter 4. This party is going to span over at least three chapters, so don't worry the fun is not over yet! I know some people will be disappointed to find out that this won't be a Susan/Daphne/Harry story, but multi pairings are hard to make sense of. Don't worry though Susan and Harry are best friends, and there will be lots of banter, flirting, teasing, and innuendos to make everyone around them uncomfortable. I will remind people that this is still just the intro to the story. The first ten to twelve chapters are the happy-go lucky golden age of the victors of the 2nd Wizarding Blood War. This story is going to get gritty, dark, and murderous in future chapters, so if you are waiting for action, then stay tuned because action, AND romance is coming to this story soon!
The updates are going to continue every other week on Wednesday, or every Wednesday depending on the response I get from each chapter. I am writing other stories right now, and while this one gains popularity it will keep my attention and time, so I hope to keep bringing you weekly updates until we see this story to its completion. I know where it's going, and if it proves to be popular I may already have ideas for a sequel so I hope everyone is ready for quite the adventure.
To answer some reviewers:
First I have to admit my absolute embarrassment when I realized that people were pointing out the fact that my story was spelled suvivors, not survivors like it should have been. I honestly looked at it a dozen times, and never realized it was missing an R. I literally felt like an idiot when I fixed it so thanks to those who caught it and said something!
Also plot continuity is super important to me so if things don't match please say something!
To sanbeegoldiewhitey: I have played with the idea of having her transfer, but I've also got some ideas about her career at Saint Mungos. I am thinking if this makes it to a sequel then almost certainly she will transfer, but don't worry about a smooth plot. It's going to be creamy smooth. You also asked about Daphne heirship. Daphne is the heiress of the Greengrass family. The reason she has not taken her mantle yet, will be explained in the next chapter, so bear with me, and thanks for reviewing!
