I've walked this world for ages. Watching as history played itself out in front of my eyes. Sometimes, I would play role in its direction, but often I'd stay on the sidelines. Now, a more serious threat threatens to wipe out all of humanity, and I must now play a role in its survival... if there are any humans left to save.

9. AN: From one wanderer to another

It's been a while… hasn't it, old friend?

I know it's been a minute since I've uploaded anything for this story (nearly five years in fact). To be perfectly honest I wasn't sure I was going to come back because the cannon plot has changed everything. Remember everyone, I wrote this during a time where we (the consumer of the Attack on Titan) truly believed that the last dredges of humanity were stuck behind those three walls. FIVE YEARS have passed since the cannon truth came to light. We didn't know who the villains were outside of the Beast Titan, or how the kingdom itself was run.

From the very beginning I was working with next to nothing (much like Ancient Blood). I had to create nearly everything for the backstory. From the mercenary group known as the Gray's to the noble houses. I even created my own story to fit Naruto being alive during the time of AoT. I created them to pull everything into the plot of the tale I was trying to tell. All of this, and one single chapter of the manga brought the hammer of revelation down onto my mind.

So, for those of you who want me to continue this story I will be going off the old idea that the last of humanity is trapped behind those walls. That all the stuff that happens outside of the wall will not apply to this divergent universe. Everything you think of as cannon within the universe from the founding titan to everything will be thrown out the window. I will use some things from the cannon here and there, but the bones of this story have been set since the first chapter. I would have to pull up my old notes. Find the hard drive that most of my ideas have disappeared to, but I will try to continue this story to the end.

It will take a while. As many of you know my time to write stories have slowly been draining away. I wish I could devote more time to writing. I truly do, but the truth is I just can't. The uploads will be erratic, random, and sparse, but I will try my best.

To all of you who have reached out to me over the years about this story let me address you specifically. I am truly humbled that people like this story to a degree where people would PM me to start it again. I am truly humbled that this story has an Español youtuber translating it to audio form. I am truly humbled that people still leave reviews.
