OKAY. Wow. It's been so long since I've updated. It's been nearly 3 years? I didn't really have any ideas, so I was adding bits and pieces over the time lol. So here is chapter 5 finally! I just added some more, and I feel bad for not posting it. So I am posting this now. I am not sure if I am gonna continue this.
It was nighttime. It was around nine o'clock at night. Today had been a crazy day. Stanford still couldn't believe that his twin brother was alive. But he was so happy that he was. Even though he was a young boy. He didn't care about that at all. His twin was alive, and that is all that matters right now. But he needed to find a cure for his brother.
He wasn't really sure where to start. It's not everyday when someone was turned into a young child. He wasn't even sure why Stanley came back as a young boy. Was there a reason why he came back as a child? Why didn't he come back as his normal age? There were so many questions running through Stanford's mind at this current time.
Stanford was currently in his lab. He had put Stanley to bed around ten minutes ago. It wasn't really that hard to put him down for the night. Even though Stanley had a one-hour nap that afternoon. When Stanley woke up from his nap, he seemed confused at first. But when he saw that his brother was still with him. He was okay. He was a bit shy with Mabel and Dipper. But after spending some time with them, he started to feel comfortable with them.
Dipper had bought him some toys and clothes for him. He wasn't really sure what type of toys to get for him. But he did know that he really liked boats. So he gabbed a boat set which came with two small boats, a shark, and five pirate figurines. For clothes, he just grabbed a pair of PJ's, a couple of shirts, a couple of shorts and a couple of socks.
Stanley was really happy when he saw the toy set. He couldn't stop playing with the new toys when he got them. But he did have to stop at one point when their dinner arrived. Which was pizza. After the Pine's family finished their dinner, they all just watched a bunch of movies until Stanley had to go to bed.
Stanford sighed as he ran his fingers through his thick gray hair. He really had no clue where to start on finding a cure for his twin. He did say he was going to start working on the cure tonight. But he was very exhausted. He knew he wasn't going to get anything done if he was tired. He needed to clear his head. Which meant he needed a good nights rest. He shakes his head then he goes back upstairs to check on Mabel and Dipper.
When Stanford arrived up stairs, he went straight towards the living room area where he left the young twins. But when he made it at the doorway. He only saw Dipper sitting alone on the couch watching TV. Dipper looked up when he noticed his Grunkle.
"Hey, Grunkle Ford. Is everything alright?" Dipper asked his Grunkle a little bit confused. His Grunkle only just left about ten minutes ago to start working on the cure for his other Grunkle.
"Yes. Everything is fine. I just came up here to check on you and Mabel. Where is your sister?" Stanford asked his nephew as he walked into the room and sat down beside him on the couch.
"She's upstairs making some more sweaters for Grunkle Stan. I told her that she didn't really need to make anymore. But you know how she gets" Dipper looked up at him with a small smile on his face.
Stanford chuckled slightly as he shakes his head, knowing his niece would do all that for his brother.
"Sounds like her. Well, if you need me. You know where to find me" He stood up from the couch and made his way over to the doorway, but he stopped to look over at Dipper.
"I don't want you both staying up too late. Okay?" Ford told his nephew with a small smile on his face. Dipper returned the smile and nodded slightly.
"Yeah, sure, Grunkle Ford" Dipper told him. Ford nodded back at him then he turned to leave the room. He went back down into the basement to start working on the cure again.
Dipper watched his Grunkle leave then he looked at the TV, he sighed a little as he leaned back into the couch slightly. He hoped that Ford would be able to turn Stan back to normal. But I guess it could be worse, at least his Grunkle Stan was alive.
Stanford spent all night long in the basement working on the cure for his twin brother, but still nothing. He couldn't seem to come to anything. He came across a few things, but none of them seem to work. The tired scientist sighed and yawned as he looked at the clock on the wall. It showed that it was now six in the morning.
"Already..?" Stanford mumbled to himself then he sighed again as he takes off his glasses and rubs his face, he puts them back on then he walked up the stairs. He needed to get some coffee. Plus he wasn't getting anything done. He wasn't sure what to do. Maybe he could search in the forest? That's where it all happened after all. Maybe he will. Once he gets himself some coffee first. He exits the basement and makes his way straight to the kitchen.
Stanford noticed that the TV light was on in the living room. Were the kids up already? It was still way to early until they woke up. He made his way towards the living room and stops at the doorway. All he saw was that Dipper was fast asleep on the couch. Ford shakes his head with a small smile on his face then he walked in and picked up the TV remote. He pointed it to the TV and turned it off, he sets the remote down then he grabs a blanket and gently laid it over Dipper's lower body. He walked out of the living room quietly and goes into the kitchen to make him some coffee.
Stanford was busy making his coffee; he didn't hear the little sounds of feet walking towards him. He turned around holding his mug of coffee then he jumped slightly when he noticed his little brother.
"Stanley… You frighten me" Stanford chuckled a little as he sets his mug of coffee down onto the counter. Stanley was looking up at his big brother nervously; he didn't mean to frighten him. Stanford noticed this then he kneeled down onto the floor in front of him.
"It's okay. I just didn't hear you come in. Did you sleep well last night?" Stanford told him with a soft smile on his face then he rested his hand onto his little brother's shoulder. Stanley looked at his big brother then he nodded his head slightly.
"Are you hungry? I could make you some breakfast" Stanford asked his little brother. He couldn't cook very well, but he could just make some cereal for him.
Stanley thought for a moment then he nodded as he walked over to the table and pulled out a chair "Can you make waffles?" He looked at his big brother with a cute smile on his face.
Stanford smiled slightly as he watched him "Even if we did have any. I wouldn't be able to make them without burning it. How about just some cereal for now? And maybe some fruit?"
Stanley pouted a little; he really wanted waffles for breakfast. Not cereal and fruit. "But I want waffles. Waffles is yummy" He told his big brother.
Stanford sighed a little, he really didn't want to risk burning the whole kitchen down with his cooking skills, which he didn't have. He was about to tell his brother he couldn't again, but he didn't have a chance to speak.
"I could make him waffles, Grunkle Ford" Mabel said standing at the doorway of the kitchen with a smile on her face. She was still wearing her PJ's.
Stanford looked towards Mabel when he heard her voice. He was a bit surprised to see her awake already.
"Mabel? You're up already? You normally sleep until at least eight in the morning" Stanford stated to her. It was so early for Mabel to be awake around six in the morning.
Mabel continued to smile then she shrugged as she walked off towards the fridge. Stanley watched Mabel quietly as he stayed close to his big brother. He did like her, but he still felt the need to be close to his brother.
"Eh. I guess I just suddenly felt like waking up early. Okay.. I woke up to use the toilet, but I heard you guys talking, so I decided to come down" Mabel told them as she opened the freezer door and takes out a box of frozen waffles "We don't really have ingredients to make fresh waffles. But these should be good for now, right?" Mabel looked back over at the Stan brothers with a big smile still on her face. She was just glad that her grunkle Stan was back, even if he had to be a little kid. She was worried she dreamt up the whole thing.
Stanford noticed the closeness from his brother, but he didn't say anything about it.
"Well.. Thank you for doing that. I think I would've burnt those as well" Stanford said as he rubs the back his neck, he was never good when it came to cooking. All he could do is make coffee, and maybe make a sandwich. That was about it really.
Mabel giggled softly as she sets the box of waffles onto the counter and plugged in the toaster "It's cool, grunkle ford. You don't gotta thank me" She looked at Stanley and smiled once again "So. How many you want Grunkle Stan.. Uh I mean Stan?" She smiled nervously when she said that. It will take a while to get used to calling her grunkle Stan to Stan or Stanley. Stanford smiled a little at the small mistake, but didn't say anything. He didn't blame her for saying that. He looked down at Stanley, who still didn't give an answer.
Stanley continued to stay quiet for a moment as he thought of how many waffles he wanted "I want ten!" He finally told her.
Mabel laughed softly when he finally told her. Stanford was just shocked on how many Stanley wanted "Stanley. That's way too much. How about we start with just two?" Stanford suggested to him.
Stanley looked up at his big brother and pouted a little "But I want ten…"
Stanford needed to stand his ground. He wasn't going to fall for that face right now "Stanley.. " He began then he sighed quietly "How about two and a half? And maybe some fruit?" He didn't want him eating just waffles alone, there needed to be some healthy sides.
Stanley frowned sadly as he goes quiet then he nodded a little "Okay, Ford. Can I have bananas?" Ford relaxed when his brother said that. He was glad that Stanley accepted the offer. He nodded and walked off towards the fridge to get a banana "Okay. Go sit at the table. It shouldn't be too long for those waffles"
Mabel had already put in four waffles into the toaster. She put one in extra for herself, she wasn't overly hungry, but she was just a little bit hungry. Stanley went right over to the table and takes a seat on one of the chairs right after his big brother told him.
If you would like me to continue with this story, let me know. I know I kinda left this chapter on a weird chapter? If that make sense? The ending of his chapter. Lol. I do want to get back to writing this little fanfic, and actually finish it with a good ending. Like I said, let me know if you want me to continue with this fanfic. I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
