If this was a normal situation, Orion would pass this off as a dream. However, this seemed all too real for it to be a dream at all. He also couldn't remember where his processor was clearer than ever before.
"Silence that voice box, Inmate!" The Mini-con with the right optic patch barked as she whacked the baton against the cell, snapping Orion out of his thoughts.
"Welcome," the grey mech said as Orion stared at him, "I am pleased to make your acquaintance. This place exists between dreams and reality, processor, and matter. Only those who are bound by a contract of some form may enter. I am Megatron, the keeper of this place. Remember it well, Hero."
"So this is like a dream?" Orion inquired, clearly confused. "Why am I here in the first place?"
"I have summoned you here to speak of rather important matters," Megatron replied eerily as he surveyed the room around him. "However, I must admit that I am truly surprised by this. The Titanium Room was designed to reflect the state of the Spark. To think that it would appear as a prison of all things…." Megatron chuckled lightly, "It seems that you truly are a prisoner of fate, Orion Pax."
It would seem that way…Orion thought to himself.
"Yet make no mistake that ruin awaits you in the near future" This remark snapped Orion's attention back to Megatron.
"Ruin?" Orion asked, "What kind of ruin?"
"It is exactly what you're thinking: the end of everything. Worry not, Hero. We shall provide you the means of avoiding such a rather tragic fate." Megatron remarked, waving a servo around as he continued speaking. "To avoid this fate you must be 'rehabilitated'. Rehabilitated toward freedom. That is the only way you may avoid ruin…." Then Megatron's smile disappeared as he looked at Orion straight in the optics. "Do you have the resolve to face the distortions of the universe?"
Orion thought about this very deeply before answering. "Yes," Orion replied.
"Good," Megatron replied, his smile returning upon hearing his conviction. "Then allow me to observe your rehabilitation.."
Orion then observed the twin Mini-cons warden that stood in front of his cell. They both had sleek frames but with similar frames but different helms. The right optic-patch one had a mostly green helm with red antennae. In her right servo, she held an electric baton that was crackling with energy. The left optic-patch one seemed to be the calmer of the two, with her helm being like her twin's except for the top of her helm. She lacked the antennae that her twin had and instead had an appendage like the medical duo Ratchet and Pharma had on their helmets except it was a rich red. Who are these two?Orion thought.
Sensing this, Megatron explained, "Ah, forgive me for not introducing the other inhabitants here. The Mini-con on your right is called Caroline; the Mini-con on your left is called Justine. They serve as wardens here and will help oversee your rehabilitation."
"You better not try anything, inmate!" Caroline taunted, "You wouldn't stand a chance against the likes of us!"
"We wardens are here to guide the inmates," Justine explained, "We are also your collaborators." Orion could've sworn on the hot spots of Iacon that she smirked when she said, "That is if you are obedient."
"I shall explain their roles another time," Megatron commented, "the night is waning while the day is waxing. It is almost time… You must take your time to process all of this," Megatron waved a servo, indicating that he was talking about the Titanium Room and what he just told Orion, "We will surely meet again when the time is right…."
Suddenly finding his willpower, Orion screamed, "Wait!" It was too late, however, as he realized that he was being sucked back to reality.
Orion woke up with a gasp as he sat upon the berth. What was that?! Orion thought as he pinched his nose before feeling his wrists. There were no cuffs attached to his wrists and a glance revealed that there was no ball of solid ununtrium chained to his leg. A quick internal self-diagnostic scan revealed nothing more than that of a faster spark beat (most likely from the dream he experienced).
"You up, Pax?" he heard Maccadam say as a door opened. "Your new school will be located in the Piston district," Maccadam shook his head, "getting there will require taking the train and that'd be a pain in the aft for me so today and only today, I'll take you there myself."
"Thank you, Maccadam," Orion replied as he put on his pack and went out in the street. He then transformed into his Cybertronian alt mode, which was an alien pickup truck. Maccadam came outside while he stretched his servos.
"Been a while since I've done this…" Orion heard the older mech say before transforming into an alien muscle car.
"Is there something wrong, Maccadam?" Orion inquired as Maccadam quickly grabbed a piece of himself that fell off of his bumper.
"It's been a while since I've transformed into my vehicle mode" Maccadam explained as they drove to the academy "Never really had a use for it once I opened my cafe. I usually use my other mode to get rowdy or otherwise unwelcomed bots out" This piqued Orion's interest but decided not to ask about (it was rude to ask an older bot what their alt-mode function(s) was).
It wasn't a while before they arrived at Datsun Academy. This school was a rather high-ranking school with lots of successful bots coming out of it in Crystal City. If you asked any successful person that lived in Crystal City where they got their education, about 89.17% of them would say at Datsun Academy.
"We're here," Maccadam proclaimed as both he and Orion transformed into their bot forms before a large building. He turned toward Orion as they walked in, "Now look," he said, "Don't do anything that could get yourself into even more trouble." They walked up to the main office and entered it.
In the office were two bots. The first bot, the headmaster judging from his appearance, was a rather bulky bot. His appearance was like that of the Earth cartoon character, Noddy. The name tag on his desk revealed his name was Tappet. The second bot was a Caminen (There weren't a lot of Female Cybertronians on Cybertron). She had a mossy and lime green color scheme that complemented each other with a helm that was in the shape of young Chi-Chi's helmet from Dragonball. Both of their faces wore a tired expression as they glared at Orion Pax.
"This is Beta," Tappet introduced as Orion looked at her, "She will not only be your homeroom teacher, but she'll also make sure that you stay on track with your work."
"Welcome to Datsun Academy," Beta said as she shook hands with the supposed delinquent. "Are you sure you're a delinquent?" She asked, "You don't look like you could even kill a cyber-bee if you could help it."
"Appearances can be deceptive, Beta," Tappet chimed in before turning toward Maccadam, "I hope he's not causing any trouble with you Maccadam."
Maccadam shook his head, "Not at all."
Later…
According to what Springload had told Pax before he left Iacon, Probation guardians weren't supposed to be warm and welcoming to the bot on probation. This seemed untrue with Maccadam, for the old-timer seemed to be extremely friendly toward Orion, even going as far as to try to strike up a conversation on the way back to the Cafe.
"This traffic seems to be going nowhere…" Maccadam sighed, "Sorry kiddo, but starting tomorrow, you're gonna have to take the train to the Academy."
"What do you think is causing all of this?" Orion inquired in a curious tone.
"Who knows," Maccadam replied, "A lot of things happen here in Halogen, it's probably just another old bot who decided to take another stasis nap in the middle of the road. Though, from what I've heard lately, it could be another one of those Psychotic breakdowns."
They didn't speak much after that and as soon as they returned to the cafe. As soon as they came to the cafe, Orion immediately went to recharge himself to get ready for the next day.
Orion woke up early and slapped his Datsun badge on his chest so other bots could know that he went to Datsun Academy. While he wasn't surprised to see Maccadam already opening the Cafe, he was surprised to see that the old bot had a cup of Oil and a plate of energon already prepared for Orion.
"You better fuel up," Maccadam spoke as he polished a glass. "It's a pain to try and learn on an empty fuel pump." Quietly agreeing Orion decided to sit down and eat it.
This isn't too badOrion thought to himself as he consumed the energon that was on his plate.
"Thank you for the energon," Orion said as he grabbed his pack and transformed, ready for his first day of school.
It was after he left that Maccadam noticed little droplets of rain falling from the sky. "It's raining?" He said to himself, "I wonder if the kid remembered to take an umbrella with him."
It didn't take a while until Orion realized that he was lost and had no idea where he was going. He transformed into his bot form and looked at his datapad. He didn't notice a blue motorcycle drive up next to him. That is until it transformed.
She was a female, Caminen, judging by her accent. The top of her helm was shaped like that of a crown with a red dot on her forehead crest. She had two giant wheels that came from her shoulder blades that seemed to come together
Some pretty femmes go to this school. Orion though as he looked at her. He was snapped out of his thoughts immediately when he saw the same app from last night Damn it! He thought. Go away already! He then heard a honking noise and saw a cybertronian version of a Mazda RX-7 FC3S.
"Hey there," the vehicle said, "You need an escort?"
"Sure." the femme went as she transformed next to the mech. If Orion didn't know better, he could've sworn that the femme frowned before she shifted forms….
"You want an escort as well?" the guy asked.
"No thank you," Orion replied as he shook his head. There was something about that mech, he didn't know what, that just didn't seem right with him.
"Suit yourself," the mech replied, "Just make sure you're not late, alright?" with that, the bot and Caminen drove away with Orion thinking about the latter's frown.
It didn't last long though, because he heard another mech raced toward him. A quick glance to the left revealed a sleek orange Audi TT-like hot rod sports car. It transformed into a mech that was similar to Wasp in terms of body frame but the helm was a mixture of Delta Magnus and Impactor's helm. "Damn it!" he screamed. "Screw that pervy teacher!" He looked at Orion, who knew right away that he was probably trouble. "What's with you?! You going to rat me out to Getaway?"
"Getaway?" Orion asked, clearly confused by what his fellow mech said. The other guy was just as confused as he was.
"How could you not know who Getaway is?" The bot asked. "You go to Datsun Academy, right?" He looked at Orion's chest, which confirmed his suspicions.
"I do as of now," Orion replied. "I'm new here."
"Oh," The bot said, realizing what was going on. "You must be that transfer student I heard about the other day." He extended a servo, "I'm Dion of Rivets Field. I'm a second year, same as you."
Orion grabbed Dion's hand and shook it. "I'm Orion Pax of Iacon," He greeted, "It's a pleasure to meet you." Now that Orion who Dion was, he realized that despite his somewhat tough exterior, Dion could actually be not that bad. "You mentioned something about a pervy teacher…" Orion said.
"Yeah," Dion replied, "That glitch head, Getaway," Dion growled as he looked down to where Getaway went. "He's the glitch that drove off with that femme earlier. You'll know him soon enough. He's the academy's 'star' because he won the Cube tournament and helped our team go to nationals. That asshole probably thinks he's some kind of Prime with a castle…."
"You must know him well in order to have those kinds of thoughts about him…" Orion commented.
"That's… one way to put it." Dion's face suddenly morphed into a look of realization. "Ah, slag! I forgot! We're going to be late for school!" He turned towards Orion and said, "I know a shortcut, we can travel quicker if we use our alt modes." Agreeing with Dion, Orion transformed and entered the alleyway, but before a wave of dizziness flowed through both his and Dion's processors. "And here we are!" he exclaimed as he made a turn out of the alley that Orion followed.
Both of them were surprised by what they saw, for it was not the same school that Orion had saw yesterday but instead, some kind of medieval castle with a sign that read:
Datsun Academy…
"What the slag?"
