"Okay so what does all your letters say?" Marinette asked the group.

"They want us to help you and Adrien out." Juleka replied. "To do what we can to make sure you're close forever. You guys starting to date in this future was actually a big step for what they wanted us to do."

Alya hugged Marinette. "Marinette, I'm sorry. My letter specifically told me that I was supposed to support you and not Kagami. I'm the worst best friend ever."

"Then why were you so happy when Adrien and Kagami started dating?" Nino asked.

Alya broke the hug and glared at him. "Because I didn't believe a letter from the future was real. I thought it was a prank or something from Trixx. I didn't even know who she was."

"Well I don't blame her, I am known to trick people." Trixx replied and Tikki glared at her.

"Anyway Marinette was acting weird when she found out that Adrien was dating Kagami and that did it. That's when I realized this letter from the future was real so I got super worried." Alya added. "I felt like maybe I hurt you Marinette but now I got your back I swear it."

"The truth is we don't want to have anymore regrets either." Juleka replied.

"I get that but I don't need you to do anything special for me." Marinette stated. "I'll be fine."

"Don't be ridiculous, think about it, our support can help you save Adrien." Juleka replied with a smile. "You know that you are the only one that can make him happy right?"

Marinette blushed. "I am? I mean I am his girlfriend and I would understand if I mostly make him happy compared to others and I do want to make him happy but I wouldn't say I'm the only one that makes him happy. I find that hard to believe."

"Trust us, we all seen it. We can tell Adrien good morning every single day and it will make no difference to him but whenever you tell him good morning he particularly starts glowing." Alya replied. "Does it make sense?"

"No, not to me." Marinette stated.

"I understand guys freak out when a girl they like texts them now imagine their reaction when it's the girlfriend." Luka replied with a smirk. "Just ask Nino how he gets when Alya texts him."

Nino blushed. "Hey!" Everyone laughed.

"For real? Adrien would be happy with something that simple?" Marinette asked Luka.

"No doubt especially if it's from you." Luka replied.

"Just remember your goal is to save Adrien and to undo all of your future selves regrets though you don't need to do it how the letter says how to undo them just make sure you follow your heart." Tikki stated.

'Just like that it was like the weight on my chest has never even existed. All the doubts and fears I have been having don't need to be only mine anymore.'

The next day was the last day the group had to practice for the relay race. Adrien went to get Marinette so they could walk together to the park. "Good morning." He said with a smile.

Marinette smiled back as she remembered what Alya told her. "Good morning." They started walking to the park.

Adrien noticed that as they walked Marinette kept looking at the ground. "Are you okay Mari?"

"I don't want to trip again like I did yesterday so I'm watching where I'm walking." Marinette replied.

Adrien chuckled. "You might not trip walking like that but you can bump into someone or something if you keep looking down."

Marinette blushed looking back up. "Yes you're right."

Juleka and Luka caught up to them. "Hey Adrien, why don't you hold Marinette's hand?" Luka said teasingly.

Adrien looked at him shocked. "Huh!?"

"You know, hold her hand to support her." Juleka added. "Plus you guys are dating. It's normal for couples to hold hands."

"I know that you two are twins but since when do you guys finish each other's thoughts?" Adrien asked them.

"It comes randomly." They replied at the same time with a smirk.

"Well I have good news for you guys. I got to borrow the baton." Adrien said as he took it out from his bag.

"That's great." Luka replied.

They soon arrived at the park and Nino was already there. "Hey where's Alya?" Marinette asked.

"She said that she would be running a little late." Nino replied.

"Well I guess we can warm up and time ourselves until she arrives." Luka suggested and everyone nodded.

"What running order should we do for the race?" Nino asked.

"How about I go first then Juleka then Alya then Nino then Marinette and finally Adrien since he's the anchor." Luka suggested.

"Sounds good." Adrien replied and everyone nodded.

Meanwhile Alya was in her room reading her letter.

I won't forget the day before the relay race. The group went to hang out at the park. That afternoon it suddenly got cloudy and it started to rain. Marinette for some reason had an umbrella with her so Adrien asked her if they could share her umbrella but I also had an umbrella because I always forget to take it out from my bag so I offered for Adrien to borrow it. In the end Marinette shared her umbrella with me and Juleka while Adrien shared my umbrella with Nino and Luka. I always wondered what would have happened if I hadn't offered for Adrien to borrow my umbrella.

At that moment Alya's mom Marlena walked in her room. "Dear aren't you supposed to meet up with your friends at the park right about now?"

"Yea I'm on my way." Alya stated as she stood up and packed her things. When she left her room she saw her little twin sisters playing in the living room. "Girls, do you know what the weather is supposed to be today?"

"Clear skies." Etta replied.

"Ugh I need it to rain." Alya mumbled.

"How come you don't like it when it rains." Ella replied.

"Well I still want it to rain." Alya replied as she left the house and the two girls looked at each other confused.

"There you are Alya c'mon we can't really practice without you." Nino told Alya once she arrived.

"Coming." Alya said, putting her bag down and heading to the group.

They practiced all day and later that afternoon it started to rain so everyone except Adrien took out an umbrella. "Kinda weird that you'll all have umbrellas today." Adrien stated.

"What do you mean the podcast said it would rain today." Luka replied.

"No it didn't, it called for sunny." Adrien stated.

"Well you can share with me." Marinette said with a blush.

Adrien smiled at her. "Thanks Mari but my house is on the other side of Paris I can't make you walk that far then walk across the city again to go home."

"Well if you want we can go to my house and from there you can call someone to get you." Marinette suggested.

Adrien nodded, smiling. "Good idea, then let's go."

As they walked away together using Marinette's umbrella their friends high five each other since their plan worked.

As they walked Marinette blushed at how close they were walking together that at some moments she found herself walking a bit far from him but she was getting wet because of it. "Don't walk too far from me, you're getting wet." Adrien told her as he gently pulled her closer to him.

Marinette blushed even more and as a reflex she quickly moved away bumping her hand on the umbrella and that caused Adrien to drop the umbrella. Marinette felt bad she didn't want Adrien to think that she didn't like being close to him because she did, it was just so new for her. "I'm sorry."

Adrien smiled softly as he picked up the umbrella. "It's fine we're here anyway." Marinette looked up and saw that they were by the bakery. They go inside and dry themselves as much as they could and Adrien calls his aunt to pick him up.

As they waited they sat on the bottom steps of the stairs while drinking some hot chocolate Sabine made for them. "I'm sorry about what happened Adrien I just got startled."

Adrien nodded. "I know I'm sorry too. Did you not like it?"

Marinette blushed. "Well I didn't not like it."

Adrien chuckled. "I didn't not like it either. Kinda when I caught you when you tripped yesterday."

Marinette blushed even more. "I don't believe you. That must've been so annoying."

"It wasn't annoying at all." Adrien replied. "It actually made me happy… I don't even know what I'm saying." Marinette looked at him still blushing as she slowly extended her hand to him. Adrien looked at her and smiled softly. "Don't worry about it Mari. We held hands at the cultural festival."

"That was before we started dating and I'm sorry I didn't realize that you wanted to hold hand yesterday. I know that I'm a bad girlfriend but this whole dating thing is new to me." Marinette stated.

"You're not a bad girlfriend Mari and I understand. Plus I know that I'm not making things easier for you by not telling you directly what I want. The thing is you're special to me and I can't find the right words to use around you." Adrien replied.

"Well, is holding hands with me once enough for you?" Marinette asked with a huge blush. Adrien looked at her surprised blushing too before he took her hand and held it with a smile. "And next time just say something when you want something I can't read minds you know."

Adrien nodded. "You're right I will next time. You know one of these days we need to go on a real date just the two of us."

"Yea I would love that." Marinette said with a smile.

Meanwhile the four remaining friends were at a coffee shop. "Well I'm glad things worked out." Juleka stated.

"I hope we can see them just like that 10 years from now." Alya added.

Luka nodded. "Yea me too."

The next day was the relay race and other events at the school to celebrate New Year's. It was the day before New Year's eve and the school was decorated for it. Marinette was in charge of the first aid so she was taking everything she would need to the field when Adrien walked to her. "What are you doing Mari?"

"I'm in charge of first aid so I'm taking everything I might need to the nursery tent." Marinette replied.

"Here let me help." Adrien said before taking everything from her hands.

"Uh… thanks." Marinette said with a soft smile.

The relay race is an oldly warm winter day. Our class is red. Mom and dad came to watch. Luka Juleka Alya and Nino all had family members to watch but no one from Adrien's family came. Adrien said that he had no father and that his mother and aunt were working while his cousin Felix went to London for winter break. Adrien was hiding the truth about his mother from us and his aunt didn't even know about the race she was home all along. What he told us about Felix was true though. Adrien seemed down during the whole meet on top of that he fell during the relay. I'll never forget the look on Adrien's face after the relay. He was almost at the point of tears. The blue team won the competition. Bring a relative of Adrien's to watch the race. Make sure he has fun and doesn't feel like crying.

'I couldn't help myself. I started reading the letter again. I felt like it wasn't enough to only wish that this happiness we have found would keep on going strong.'

"Hey Alya!" The group who were talking to each other looked over at where the sound came from and they saw Alya's younger twin sisters waving at her as Nora Alya's older sister and her parents were behind them. Alya smiled and waved back.

"We're sorry we're late Alya." Marlena called out to her with a smile.

"I'm glad they made it." Alya stated.

"Hey girls." Luka called out to the twin sisters and they smiled at him. They were big fans of his music.

Sabine and Tom were seen going to talk to Alya's parents. "Marinette your mom always looks so pretty." Alya stated.

"Yea she's good at that." Marinette replied with a smile.

"Juleka there's mom." Luka stated to Juleka as they saw their mom Anarka walking to the other group's parents.

"There's my family." Nino stated as they saw Nino's parents and his younger brother Chris walking over to the group's families.

"Adrien, what about your family?" Juleka asked Adrien.

"Oh they're not here, my dad and mom got a divorce when I was young so he's out of the picture and mom is working as well as my aunt Amelie and my cousin Felix went to London for winter break." Adrien replied. The whole group looked at him with a smirk. "Uh what… what is it?"

"Adrien!" Adrien looked over and was surprised to see his aunt Amelie waving at him with a smile.

He quickly went over to her. "Aunt Amelie, why are you here?"

"I was able to get out of work early today." Amelie said winking at him obviously following up with his lie. "And I was able to come with help from -"

At that moment there was the sound of a guitar and a screaming crowd forms around someone. After a while Jagged Stone walked out from the crowd and went over to Adrien and Amelie. "You must be Adrien. Luka asked me to bring your aunt here and I agreed because it was so rock and roll!" He said while playing a note on his guitar.

"Your aunt called Marinette about when the race would start and I overhead so I asked dad to bring her here." Luka replied as he walked over to them. "Is that okay?"

Adrien smiled brightly. "Yea thank you."

As the day went by Marinette noticed that Adrien would sometimes be lost in thought with a frown and that worried her. Though everytime Adrien caught her looking at him he would just smile at her and Marinette smiled back.

"Hey mom wants to take a picture of us." Luka stated and the group stood together for the picture. Marinette caught Adrien frowning for a second before he smiled at the camera as Anarka took the picture.

Later Sabine went over to Marinette to make sure that she had everything she needed for the race. "Mom, I have everything. Don't worry."

"Hey sweetie, where's Adrien." Sabine asked.

"With his aunt, why?" Marinette asked.

"Because I want to take a picture of you two after all this will be your first New Year celebration with your boyfriend." Sabine said with a smile.

Marinette blushed. It was obvious for Marinette's parents to know that she was dating Adrien from the very first day they started dating. According to them it was bound to happen sooner or later and that day she was glowing with happiness. "Maybe later mom."

The group walked over to Marinette and dragged her to a corner of the school. "Adrien seems down today." Luka stated.

"It's because of his mother." Marinette mumbled.

"Adrien told all off us that his mom was really working today." Nino stated.

"Weird because he already told you two the truth right? That she died." Alya asked Luka and Marinette and they nodded.

"He might not want the rest of us to know." Juleka stated.

"So how do we help him if he doesn't talk to us?" Alya asked.

"What can we do that won't seem suspicious?" Juleka added.

Marinette nodded. "Talking about suspicious we should probably head back before he starts looking for us."

"Are you sure that you don't mean before he starts looking just for you?" Alya asked playfully as the rest smiled and Marinette blushed.

When they got back Nino Luka and Adrien were asked to help carry some things from already done activities away and bring some of the things needed for upcoming activities.

Before Adrien went to help, Marinette walked over to Adrien. "Adrien, are you alright today?"

"Yea why do you ask?" Adrien asked with a soft smile.

"I have noticed that you have been spacing out a lot and frowning…. Is it about your mom?" Marinette asked hesitantly.

Adrien's smile faded. "Yea I guess I can't hide anything from you huh? Though don't worry too much about me today just reminds me of a memory I have of her but I'll be fine."

Marinette nodded. "Alright but remember you can always talk to me about anything."

"I know." Adrien said, smiling again.

While the boys were carrying the things. Luka got badly cut by a thorn brush. "I should probably wash it." Luka stated once they were done.

"I can do it. I was put in charge of first aid." Marinette replied and Luka nodded.

"OW!" Luka exclaimed as Marinette took out the thorn and started cleaning the injury. They were in the nursery tent and the rest of the group were surrounding them watching Marinette cue Luka. Since the cut was on his arm he had no choice but to take off his shirt so Marinette could take care of it.

"You know screaming won't make it hurt less." Nino stated playfully.

"Oh be quiet, it's a natural reaction to pain." Luka replied.

Alya and Juleka looked at Adrien and they giggled softly to each other since it was obvious that he was jealous of the whole situation by the look on his eyes.

"There, all done." Marinette stated after bandaging Luka's arm.

"Adrien you got hurt too right?" Luka asked as he put his shirt back on.

Marinette looked at Adrien and saw that his left hand was bruised. "Oh your hand."

"It's no big deal." Adrien replied.

"Maybe not but we should at least make sure that it's clean." Marinette stated.

"It's fine really." Adrien replied.

"Let me see." Marinette stated again.

Adrien smiled softly. "You won't stop asking me until I let you right?" Marinette nodded. "Alright, fine, look at it."

Marinette cleaned the bruise then put ice on it so it would swellow down and finally she bandaged it just so it wouldn't bug Adrien for the rest of the day. "There, all done."

Adrien smiled at her. "Thanks princess."

Marinette blushed with a smile since that was the first time Adrien used that nickname on her and their friends snickered at them. "Y-you're welcome."
