"Wake up Zeldris, it's dawn already!" Ultear grumbled, lightly smacking Zeldris's sleeping bag with her cane. "You slept all the way from Crocus to here, and I think if I let you, you'd have slept all the way to Magnolia if I had taken you there!"

Zeldris couldn't help but chuckle as he yawned and stretched, smiling some as he woke up, feeling a little dazed.

"Well sorry Ultear, the cart rode so fine I couldn't tell that we had stopped". He laughed, stretching some in his red collared shirt. "Was there anything else you needed before I left for Magnolia?" he asked, rather eager to get on the road.

Ultear shook her head; something seemed to make her anxious but she couldn't put her finger on it. Something seemed off about her visitor as he climbed out of the cart. He was smiling that kind smile of his as he started walking down the road.

"Take care Ultear, and hopefully I'll be competing in the games this time next year!" he teasingly shouted. As he walked away, Ultear walked slowly back inside, thinking to herself "there's something off about his time… he is far too old for this universe..."

Zeldris continued walking, just short of a running pace. He hoped to reach Magnolia by late afternoon and that's all that mattered. Becoming a Fairy Tail wizard. Since he left the northern continent 6 months prior, it had been non-stop traveling. Nearly freezing to death twice, before making it to the continent of Ishgar that was home to the kingdom of Fiore. That had been 4 months ago; he had only found out about the grand magic games when he stumbled into Crocus, unsure of what guild to join at the time.

Two hours later, he entered a forest, beginning to become more and more unsure of which way to follow. Luckily (or so he thought), he saw someone working by a tree in the forest.

"Excuse me, is this the road to Magnolia?" The person came into a much clearer view, and it turned out to be an older woman with pink hair, with a hatred for humans that was second only to Zeldris's desire to become a Fairy tail wizard.

She quickly snapped back. "Yes, it is, now get lost! I'm working.'' Zeldris was almost immediately taken aback by her snap, now only a few feet away from the tall pink haired woman.

Looking concerned he tried to apologize, fearing he had displeased the woman.

"Sorry ma'am, I didn't mean to bother you, I was traveling to Magnolia to join the Fairy Tail guild, and wanted to make sure I wasn't lost."

The woman frowned. The shadows of the day were beginning to grow as it fell past noon, as she gazed at the short man in front of him. "I'm sorry I snapped at you young man, I have a very strong hatred towards humans and their violent ways. Seeing those swords you have on your back infuriates me".

Zeldris nodded silently. "Yes ma'am, I understand, and I apologize for upsetting you like that. I use these swords because of my magic; additionally ma'am what's your name?".

She nodded, quite surprised but keeping her composure. "My name is Porlyusica. I'm a personal friend of the master of the guild, Makarov."

Zeldris nodded "Thank you Miss Porlyusica. It's very nice to meet someone so close to the guild and it's master. If you don't mind, I'll be taking my leave now; is this the correct road?" he asked, pointing to a pathway in front of him. She nodded and began to walk back inside her home in one of the nearby trees.

Zeldris smiled and continued to walk down the path, gazing up at the sun as it was starting its slow descent, "Time to get moving if I want to get there before evening" he thought to himself, still at a brisk walking pace, climbing a rather steep hill.

30 minutes later Zeldris finally reached the top of the hill and gazed in awe at everything below. There it stood, the end of the forest, the town of Magnolia, and finally, at the very edge of the town, the Fairy Tail guild hall, one of the tallest buildings in town.

Zeldris sat down for about five minutes, continuing to take in the beauty of the scene, before standing up and began walking down the hill, the sun slowly continuing down as he reentered the forest following the path to Magnolia.
