"Cooking requip!" Again, Erza's body flashed a bright light, her clothes magically changing in front of everyone. Zeldris sat up hearing her words, raising an eyebrow.
"Is that really how you change clothes?" he asked, gazing and shrugging at her black bikini, black chef's apron and white toque.
"Grill requip" Erza said, and suddenly a grill appeared with fuel, ready to go. "Now Zeldris, while you were asleep, we went ahead and caught some fish for our lunch."
Zeldris looked down, rather ashamed. "Uh, thanks," he said sheepishly. Erza started grilling the fish as Zeldris finally got up, relaxing by tree as he resheathed his sword. Closing his eyes to relax, he enjoyed the sounds, seemingly at peace.
30 minutes later Erza shouted "All done!" Zeldris's stomach growled and he raised an eyebrow sleepily, he soon got up, and got in line, his mouth almost salivating waiting for the fish.
Finally, Erza gave him a fish, admittedly small but he didn't care. He was too hungry to care. As he sat down beside Wendy and Carla, he quickly bit into it, not caring about manners. Carla glared in shock; Wendy quietly chuckled as the exceed scolded him.
"Do you not have any manners boy! Eating like that in front of a lady!" she said, borderline hysterical.
"I don't mind, I mean I'm pretty hungry too" Wendy said, trying to calm her cat down. Zeldris kept eating, acting like nothing was wrong. Erza put out the fire for the grill and began to eat her fish.
"This is great fish Erza, thank you" Zeldris said between bites. Carla rolled her eyes. He had spoken with his mouth still full of food.
"So unprofessional, and who even is he?" Carla asked. "I don't remember seeing him in the guild before."
Wendy stopped eating for a moment and said, "This is Zeldris; he came to the guild yesterday, and Master sent Erza to help him train and she asked me to help as well." Carla sighed, understanding but somewhat frustrated as Zeldris raised up from his fish as he finished and waved.
"I just wish I knew before you three had left," Carla said, followed quickly by a chuckle from Erza and Wendy, Zeldris nodded and turned to gaze at the sea. He closed his eyes to relax some more.
"You seem to be enjoying yourself, relaxing and gazing out into the distance like that, is there something wrong Zeldris?" Erza asked, sitting down beside him.
"Oh nothing," he shrugged. "It's just I have been traveling for so long now; I haven't had much time to relax and let my mind wander." He sighed, returning to his gaze, "So I guess I just am enjoying that privilege." He paused, the smile quickly fading as he stood up. "You spoke of a magic battle; I guess now is a better time than ever to do that."
"Hey Wendy, are you ready for that magic battle?" Erza asked, turning to Wendy.
"Yeah, though I bet Natsu would have been a better person to bring along for this," Wendy said, chuckling. Erza chuckled as she stood up and slowly walked back to where they had their sword fight earlier.
"Both of you come out here please, the water is just starting to come back in so you both should have some time" Erza said.
Both Zeldris and Wendy nodded, walking over to the hard sand by the water's edge. Standing opposite of each other, about 10 feet away from each other, with Erza in the middle, a very serious look on her face.
"Now I want both of you to be careful, this is not a fight to the death. But don't be afraid to hold back." Erza said, stepping away from the two of them. "I will decide when the fighting stops."
Zeldris raised a hand looking a tad bit concerned. "Um, Erza, can this be a physical battle as well? Or purely magic?"
Erza smirked, raising an eyebrow. "I don't know, maybe it could depending on how it goes."
Zeldris nodded, giving off a serious look and staring at Wendy, who returned the same look.
"Fine, then I'll start us off" Wendy said. "Sky Dragon's Roar!" she shouted. A tight, ringed, blueish-white column of air shot from her mouth, aimed right at Zeldris.
In the blink of an eye, it happened. Zeldris unsheathed it. A sword handle with a sharp broken blade. The green handled dragon hilt. With one swing, just before the column of air would hit him, he deflected it. That same column of air, changing from a bright white blue color, to a much darker deep blue and purple color, whooshing right past Wendy's right ear. As the air finished passing by her he muttered those words, those two words.
"Full counter."
Erza, Wendy, and Carla stared in shock. "It is real!" they each thought.
"You may be able to counter my magical attacks, but that means you can't dodge my physical attacks!" she said, charging at him. "Sky Dragon's Wing Attack" she shouted, swinging her arms at him, her arms now columns of air the same colors as before but much smaller.
As quickly as she charged, Zeldris retaliated. Moving at a mind-bogglingly fast speed, he leaned back as if to dodge. Then as Wendy got within inches of him, he kicked her, a roundhouse kick with his left leg as she tried to attack his right side.
He sent her flying.
Wendy landed about 10 feet in front of Zeldris, furious at him. Erza and Carla glared, Carla now floating.
"Incredible" Erza mumbled, watching with focused curiosity.
"You have no offensive attacks you say," Wendy said, mocking the wizard who stood a few feet from her.
Zeldris resheathed his broken blade and pulling out his sword Lostvayne. Wendy stared at him, regaining her balance and unsure of what to say or do next.
Zeldris charged at her, sword in hand and shouted "One Thousand Divine Cuts!" Black and purple flames consumed Zeldris's swords, and with one slash Wendy was suddenly engulfed in the flames.
She shrieked in pain at first, the sound seeming to be heard for miles. Erza and Carla looked on, mortified.
"Wendy" they screamed in shock regarding their friend.
Suddenly, a whirlwind encompassed Wendy, smothering the dark flames and putting them out. Zeldris starred in absolute disbelief, slightly shaking.
"They've never been put out before," Zeldris muttered, standing about 20 feet away from Wendy now.
"Go easy on him because he's new you say... no offensive attacks he says... I say he's READY ENOUGH" she said. The ground seemed to rumble as Zeldris looked on quite confused. A white column of air came up from the ground at Wendy's feet, her clothes ruffling, and her hair lengthening and turning pink. White scales climbing across parts of her face.
"Dragon Force" Erza muttered silently, wide eyed but secretly pleased.
"Sky Dragon's Secret Art: Shattering Light: Sky Drill" she shouted, another bright column of air rushing towards Zeldris, now pinkish blue in color. Zeldris maintained his monotonous serious expression, lifted his index finger, closing it down on his thumb as the column of air came within centimeters of him.
The column of air suddenly vanished. The three ladies' jaws dropped, unsure what to believe.
"The Counter Vanish Technique" he said. Wendy stared speechless but quickly summoned another attack.
"Sky Dragon Roar!" she shouted, another column of air coming at Zeldris. This time was different. Zeldris held his sword and swung at the spell.
At the top of his lungs he shouted "FULL COUNTER"; this time the air turned black and the spell was sent flying right back at Wendy. It immediately knocked her over, but she sat up, her fist balled up as she was ready to attack.
"Your full counter is weak" Wendy retorted "you only just knocked me down"
"Then you must be holding back Sky Dragon" he responded, glaring at Wendy "why don't you use the full extent of your beloved dragon force next time, but now it's my turn".
"Enchant Hellblaze!" he shouted, his silvery sword blade became coated in purple and black flames.
"An enchantment it seems, Deus Zero!" she shouted "this should negate his flames" her face went pale when it didn't work and began running towards her with the inflamed sword.
"One Thousand Divine Cuts"! Zeldris shouted, preparing to cut Wendy again, but this time she was ready.
"Sky Dragon Roar!" she shouted, trying to hit him at point blank range with another purple blast of wind, it hit Zeldris, but he kept coming, this time, bringing another kick to her, knocking her about 30 feet away from him this time.
"ENOUGH!" Shouted Erza and Wendy in unison. The two stopped, both surprisingly exhausted. Panting as they stood on the sand. Zeldris then collapsed, lying flat on his back in the sand. Slowly he closed his eyes, and fainted.
