Zeldris felt a shove and a lifting sensation; it was Erza, who was now dragging Zeldris still in his sleeping bag. She was furious as Wendy and Carla followed her.
"I told him not to oversleep, and it's already 8:30 in the morning and what has he done, overslept." Erza remarked. A yawn could be heard from the sleeping bag and a mumble.
"So, are you finally awake?" Erza grumbled. Zeldris slowly opened his eyes, noticing he was being dragged.
"I'm being dragged?" Zeldris muttered, quite confused "Wait, is it time to be up already?" he exclaimed, finally seeming to grasp the situation as the quartet came into the town of Hargeon.
"Oh, we're here too," Zeldris said, finally getting his true bearings.
"We've tried to explain this to you." Erza said, quite annoyed "You overslept again," Erza finally set his sleeping bag down. "Now get up; you can't do a job while in your sleeping bag," she said sternly.
"Alright, alright," he muttered. "I'll be ready in a moment," he said, quickly rolling up his sleeping bag and putting it on top of his backpack. "So, what is this job we're doing anyways? And how much does it pay?" he asked.
Erza's face changed from annoyance to a massive grin. "We get to help a baker fulfil a large order of strawberry cakes!" she remarked, almost running towards the town. "I can barely keep my excitement contained!" she said, nearly squealing for joy.
Zeldris, Wendy, and Carla could barely keep up.
"Is this normal for her?" Zeldris asked, starting to struggle for breath and to keep up.
Wendy shook her head "no, I've never seen her act this crazy even for strawberry cake".
The trio joined Erza who was standing in front of the Hargeon Bread and Bakery, eager eyed and barely containing her excitement. A man dressed in a white baker's outfit came, out looking very concerned.
"Are you the wizards from Fairy Tail?" the man asked.
"Yes, of course, now tell us what you need specifically from us?" Erza said, looking more composed but still beaming.
"You see, I have a massive order of cakes to fill, and all of my heating lacrimas have all gone out. Do any of you three have any fire-based powers?" He asked.
"My flame empress armor should help, and our new friend here has flame spells," Erza remarked as Zeldris waved.
"Well, hopefully either of you will be able to help. Please come inside" The man remarked, leading the wizards inside, towards the kitchen area, where a line of five ovens awaited, the heating lacrimas each burned out simultaneously. Lumps of coal surrounded the lacrima to help fuel it.
"Requip: Flame Empress Armor" and in a typical flash of bright light, Erza changed into a red, orange, and black accented armor, with a red sword in a gauntlet-covered hand. Erza then squatted down, trying to use her sword to light the coals on fire. Five minutes passed and Erza was growing increasingly annoyed and upset, as nothing was working.
Zeldris then inquired "hey Erza, do you mind if I give it a try? My fire might be stronger". Erza sighed looking quite defeated and upset. Zeldris then squatted down, pulling out his sword Lostvayne and said "enchant hellblaze" the purple and black flames from before appeared. This time instead of trying to light the coals on fire, he placed the flames on the lacrima itself.
The lacrima lit up quickly and was helped by the coals in the first oven. "Well this first one looks like it's working, and the rest I can get using the same method" Zeldris said as he held the flaming sword in his hand, moving towards the second oven. The baker looked on in glee, as each oven came online.
"Wonderful!" he shouted, and quickly began to get the ingredients ready for the cakes he was to bake for his client.
Erza then remarked, "I can control the temperature with my sword, and Wendy you should be able to put out the fire with your sky magic. If we need you Zeldris, you can wait in the lobby area". Zeldris nodded and walked out to the lobby area, sitting down, and resting his head against the wall, and falling asleep.
Four hours passed before someone finally shook him awake. "Zeldris!" Erza barked as she shook him awake.
"Huh? Wha-?" Zeldris said looking around, finally getting his bearings. "So the job's done?" he asked.
