Zeldris, Romeo, and Terra Mere rode into the seaside village of Krakatoa, known for their green sea and good weather, located on the North Western corner of Fiore, the village is home to the trio's next job. Attempting to round up some bandits hold up in a fort near the town.
"So, this seems like a nice place to visit" Terra Mere said.
"Yeah, we should come back some time, I hear it stays rather comfortable during the summer" Romeo responded. Zeldris only nodded as they made their way off the train and towards the town's inn.
Once they finally reached it, the manager was waiting for them and asked, "are you the three from Fairy Tail?" noticing their odd looks compared to his normal customers.
"Took you long enough" the manager grumbled, handing the three a map, noting the location of the fort.
"We believe the bandits are hold up in this fort, they have been robbing villages up and down the Northern and Western Fiore coast. We need you to get rid of them as soon as possible" the manager then looked outside to the setting sun.
"I know it's starting to get late, so if you three want to spend the night in the only room I have left, I can arrange that" the manager finished.
The trio agreed, Terra Mere was surprisingly happy about this arrangement as they made their way to the room but was equally disappointed to find out there were three beds available.
"We'll rest tonight and get up before dawn and try to surprise them" Zeldris said.
Romeo stretched and yawned "alright, that train ride was awful".
Terra Mere nodded in agreement adding "but at least we were able to help the crew with that derailment".
"Indeed, that was good work, you know you're quite quick witted' Zeldris completed her.
"Thanks, Zeldris should we try and scout out the place while there's still daylight?" Terra Mere said.
"No, absolutely not" Zeldris said, then adding "we need to use the element of surprise to our advantage, we may not know the area but if we can use the darkness and capture them off guard, we'll defeat them for sure" he finished.
"Besides, the custody enforcement unit will make it there by morning," Romeo added.
Terra Mere looked put off by that and said "what is to say they don't already know whether we're coming or the custody enforcement for that matter?"
Romeo and Zeldris looked at each other and shrugged, before Zeldris said "good point, that's why I want to work at night, and why we should get some rest, especially myself. I don't like how much I've been sleeping lately".
Terra Mere and Romeo then teased in Unison "awe, does somebody need Mommy Erza to wake themselves up?"
Zeldris glared back annoyed "regardless we should sleep" he said in response, getting himself settled in the bed closest to the window looking out to the port. Romeo and Terra Mere got themselves settled in as well and went to sleep.
It was 3 AM when the trio woke up, ready to go, and silently they slunk out of the inn, and towards the fort North and East of town. The waning crescent moonlight reflected in the water and provided a guide to the fort, the fort itself was old, from the first trade war. It was put up to stop attacks from the sea, and prevent inland attacks from the small port. It featured two medium length piers, just long enough to serve a wooden ship or two.
When the trio got within sight of the fort, they noticed a ship there, being loaded up. They slowly and with great stealth got closer to the fort until they could see the people and what they were doing. Loading the ship with vast crates full of stacks of Jewel and other assorted valuables.
A woman in a military type uniform stood on the pier, barking orders to her subordinates.
"Let's move it ladies, the magic council is on to us, and I fear they have wizards after us as well!" she said.
Zeldris turned to Terra Mere who was across from Romeo as they lay on a hill just South of the fort, just beyond sight of the guards "you were right, they do know about us" Zeldris said.
Terra Mere nodded as they heard one of the subordinates talk to the woman barking orders, "Lady Turmoil, we have most of the gold and Jewel onboard" she said.
"Good, as soon as the sun rises, we'll be ready to go and make our way to Bosco" Turmoil responded, a tall blonde woman, in a gray military type uniform, with black boots. As they talked the sky was already starting to slowly turn a dark shade of blue.
Alerted by her words, Zeldris motioned to the others to hurry, as they made their way down the hill to the stone fort, working hard to be undetected. They climbed into the fort through one of the open windows, hiding behind some unmoved crates.
"Great, now we're inside but how will we stop them?" asked Romeo
"Our best bet would be to surprise them by getting on the boat and attacking from there, they'll expect us to attack from somewhere in the fort" Zeldris responded, point to the wall towards the second pier, "this way".
The trio slunk towards the boat, surprisingly undetected, once at the end Zeldris pointed to the water, "let's hide under the pier, Terra Mere, use your maker magic to make us a path into the ship".
Terra Mere and quietely said "earth make stairs' ' and some stairs formed to a port hole at the back of the ship. The sky was now a noticeable dark blue, indicative of the coming dawn and their need to hurry as they got into the ship, struggling to get around.
They made their way on deck, near the back but still out of sight, until not a moment later they were spotted, someone then shouted "Lady Turmoil! On the back deck!" and two guards who had spotlight lacrimas to help light the area turned them to the wizards.
Turmoil frowned and furrowed her brow, quickly climbing on the deck of the ship and shouted, "who are you?"
Zeldris then spoke "we are wizards from Fairy Tail, and we are here to stop you!"
Turmoil scoffed at them, "you wizards don't scare me! The wizards from the other town and villages tried to stop me and you will fail just like them!" she said smugly then commanding "go get'em girls!" and commanded some of the ladies to charge and attack them.
One used a fire spell, one a water spell, and another used an iron spell, these three spiral spells came towards them, spiraling and began to merge as they neared the wizards.
Just before the spells hit the wizards, Zeldris opened and closed his fingers and said in a calm demeanor, "counter vanish".
The ladies stopped in their tracks in shock, murmuring to themselves before trying again.
"Flame of the dragon!" the fire user said.
"Water slicer!" the water user added.
"Iron make lance!" the third said.
Zeldris unsheathed the green dragon hilt, slicing it three times at the spells and shouted, "full counter!"
The spells scattered and hit various hills that surrounded the fort.
"Romeo, Terra Mere! Go and round up her underlings, I'll handle these wizards and go after Turmoil" Zeldris commanded.
Romeo and Terra Mere jumped off the boat and ran towards the fort, which was open in the back and poorly lit as the sun was now ever so slightly peeking over the horizon.
"The one who rounds up the most of them is the winner!" Terra Mere said with glee.
"You're on!" Romeo said, and they began rounding up the others.
Zeldris meanwhile was ready for an attack as he pulled out Lostvayne and gripped both swords.
"Two thousand divine cuts!" as he charged at the ladies, and sliced at them, in a single instant they were writhing in pain on the ground from the black flames, shrieking in pain. He resheathed his swords and went after their leader, Lady Turmoil.
She seemed to be running back towards the fort, shouting instructions to her subordinates and many dropped their things and tried to rush towards the ship much to the dismay of the trio, who were now struggling to head towards the ship.
Turmoil who was now aboard was shaking her first at the trio and having water wizards trying to push the boat out of the port and shouting "you'll never catch us wizards of Fairy Tail!" as the crew was now unfurling the sails of the ship and was now getting out of sight.
Romeo was grumbling as the sun was now rising into the sky "come on, how did we let them get away!"
Zeldris could not help but grin as he reached into a pocket of his shirt "never fear, i've been waiting to use this in a practical situation"
Terra Mere and Romeo shrugged and looked at each other confused, unsure of what he meant as Zeldris's hand was clenched in a fist and put it into the water and shouted, "open gate of the water bearer, Aquarius!"
Romeo froze in shock, his eyes widened, his blood ran cold, and he stammered "n, n, no w w way".
An extremely well figured long blue haired mermaid holding a decorated urn appeared in front of the trio, smiling happily "hello my tiny bunches of hunk, what do you need"
Zeldris blushed but quickly regained his composure pointing to the wake in the water, "Aquarius, there is a ship full of bandits that have escaped, and we need you to bring them back please!"
Aquarius grunted and nodded "you may be cute but you're so demanding sometimes".
Zeldris rolled his eyes "alright, alright, alright, just please get them back please"
"Fine, but after that I'm going on a vacation" she responded, and began to funnel water towards the urn, and very shortly thereafter the ship could be seen, with wind users trying to push the sails, but their effort was futile, as the boat was pulled closer and closer, she then said, "you three get back, you're about to be where the boat will land!"
Meanwhile, the custody enforcement was now arriving at the fort eager to catch the bandits.
The ship turned on it's side and crashed into the fort, people began slowly crawling out and were swiftly arrested by the custody enforcement.
Aquarius floated surveying the scene, feeling accomplished with herself as she turned to jealous "you're welcome, and please don't bother me, I'm going on a vacation with my boyfriend, you'll understand when you get a sexy girlfriend" she then turned and faced Romeo "and Romeo, please don't Lucy about me, I can trust you with this, right?"
Romeo nodded, not saying anything as he was very conflicted about what Aquarius asked of him. She then disappeared, and Zeldris put the key back in his shirt.
One of the leaders of the custody enforcement unit approached the trio of wizards saying, "thank you for your work here, you helped to bring down the biggest dark guild in Bosco!"
The trio stood there looking at each other, mouths agape, surprised about the new, and are all left speechless. Still remaining speechless as they made their way back to the inn and then got their things to head to the guild, feeling very accomplished.
