When Lucy returned to the team's suite, she was broken and had an emotionless look on her face.
"Hey Lu-"Natsu, Gray, Juvia, Erza, and Wendy started to say in unison before quickly quieting down, seeing how bad Lucy looked. They didn't know what to think, as when they last saw Lucy, she was happy and cheerful regarding her victory. They tried to discuss with Lucy what happened but she was not saying anything. She seemed cold and distant, ultimately she was still processing what Loke had told her.
Meanwhile, "Next on the field is Fairy Tail Team B's Laxus Dreyar versus Blue Pegasus' front man Ichiya Vandalay Kotobucki!" Chapati Lola announced.
"This should be a very interesting matchup, as when Fairy Tail disbanded between 791 and 792, Laxus went and joined Blue Pegasus and was behind only Ichiya and their guild's master," Mr. Yajima said.
The two men walked onto the field, standing face to face, both eager to spar against each other.
"It's good to see you," Laxus said.
"And you as well," Ichiya, the orange haired, white suited man replied, reaching out his hand to shake before the match.
Laxus obliged and said, "I forget how civil you can be."
"It will be an honor to fight a former member of the guild," Ichiya said.
The gong ran and Laxus said, "It will be an honor to fight you as well" this was followed immediately by him shouting, "Raging Bolt!" and a bright flash of yellow lightning formed from Laxus going towards Ichiya.
Ichiya failed to dodge and got electrocuted and yelled during the orderal, "MAAAAANNNNN!" and looked like an over-cooked piece of food when done.
"MAAAANNNN" he said again, saying, "I surrender!"
"Well, uh, I guess this fight is over ladies and gentlemen," Chapati Lola said, frankly in shock at how soon the battle ended.
The members of Fairy Tail team A were too focused on their friend to have even noticed the performance as they tried desperately to find out what happened. Meanwhile, the announcers were still in their own state of disbelief regarding the previous fight.
"Well, Laxus is one of the most powerful in the ranks of Fairy Tail, so this electrifying performance is all within the realm of expectation," Mr. Yajima said, as Chopati Lola looked at him, having been left shocked speechless regarding the pun.
The crowd roared for the blonde-haired lightning dragon slayer as he walked off the field. Zeldris meanwhile was in awe of the displays of magic he had seen. Ichiya had been escorted off the field and into the arena infirmary for the Blue Pegasus guild.
"Now folks, we will move to the next battle for the day, as Lamia Scale's Yuka will battle Twilight Ogre's Shrieker!" Chapati Lola announced, to some mixed cheers.
Both men stared at each other down in silence as they walked towards each other. Mato then stepped up to them and said, "You have thirty minutes to win it," followed by, "let the battle begin" as the gong sounded for the battle to begin.
The man named Shrieker grinned as Yuka got ready to attack. Yuka jumped into the air and a clear, blue-colored circular shape formed and just before Yuka reached Shrieker, the man opened his mouth, and a horrendous sound came out. It was practically indescribable in how awful it was.
Yuka jerked off balance and fell to the ground. Shrieker smirked and said, "Nice, isn't it?"
He then continued as Yuka brushed himself off and got ready for another attack as Shrieker said, "Works really well in a back-alley brawl when somebody forgets to pay their debts".
"That's right," Yuka responded, "you guys were originally a merchant guild, and picked on Fairy Tail because they could not pay their debts," he said, his massive eyebrows furrowing. "That will be why I will make sure to defeat you!" Yuka finished.
He leaped into the air; again massive clear circles formed on his hands. Shrieker laughed loudly at this, saying, "You won't defeat me with puny magic" as he used his sound magic to shriek to try and throw Yuka off balance.
"Of course, you could not beat me physically either, you should just give up," Shrieker said, continuing to torment poor Yuka.
Yuka backed away, trying to get his concentration back so he could launch an attack.
"Perhaps I could stand to make a wager," Shrieker said.
"What would that be?" Yuka asked, his mind racing a mile a minute trying to think of an idea of how to beat this back alley thug.
"If I win, Lamia Scale becomes property of Twilight Ogre!" Shrieker said, cackling some.
"Oh my! Will Yuka accept this wager?" Chapati Lola announced in shock.
Yuka then charged at Shrieker, saying nothing. His eyes looked like a beast who had taken in the scent of his prey.
"This is pointless!" Shrieker screamed and began shouting in the direction where Yuka ran.
Yuka then used his small and nimble body to dodge, while Chapati Lola began doing play-by-play commentary, saying, "Yuka fakes left, fakes right, and jumps left!"
Shrieker tried to regain control of things as Yuka was now in striking range, he opened his mouth for an attack and Yuka then threw both clear blue circles at his mouth. They were a direct hit!
Shrieker's smug demeanor changed to panic in an instant; both he and Yuka knew what happened. Yuka just leveled the playing field, or rather, tipped it in favor of himself.
In the next moment, Yuka landed on Shrieker and landed a barrage of punches. Yuka then muttered, "if I learned anything from that dumb fight with Millianna, it's that swift and nimble fighting works!"
One minute Yuka was on Shrieker and giving him the beat down of a lifetime, the next minute, Shrieker lay on the ground, groaning and grunting as Yuka walked away.
"Be happy I never countered your bet, but you're not going to make any friends in this tournament," Yuka said.
"What an amazing comeback ladies and gentlemen! After a disappointment in today's event, Lamia Scale has come roaring back with a come from behind victory to bring their total to 15 points!" Chapati Lola announced, to the cheers and celebrations of the crowd.
"Yuka was smart to use his anti-wizarding magic to silence Shrieker and level the playing field" Mr. Yajima said, adding some explanation about what happened.
"I never thought Yuka could be so resourceful in a fight like that," Chelia, the well figured young lady of the Lamia Scale guild said.
"We do not give him enough credit at times," Lyon said.
"That performance was dandy indeed," Wally remarked, before being spun around like a top by the master of Lamia Scale, a short old lady named Ooba, though known affectionately throughout the guild as the Old Hag.
As the old hag retorted, "Yuka could have put us closer to those fairies if you had done better, you newbie!" as she continued to spin him
Everyone chatted about the impressive fights and were hoping for even more exciting battles, as Mermaid Heel's Risley will go up against Quattro Cerberus's War Cry!
