"Why do I have to go home this weekend?" Sheldon whined during Thai food night. "Georgie's been married three times and I didn't go to any of his weddings. I don't understand why Missy's insisting I be there for hers. It's not like she won't have another one in a few years."

Penny replied before anyone had a chance to open their mouth. "You're going because she's your sister. Your twin sister. Sometimes you have to do things you don't enjoy for your family, but you do it anyway. I work late on Thursday, so I can take you to the airport in the morning. Just let me know what time you want to leave."

Rolling his eyes, Sheldon groaned. "You'd understand if you knew who she was marrying. Billy Sparks. He grew up next door to us and was dumb as bricks. He was always the weird kid that nobody liked. Then his dad walked out on his family and he began to bully me. How could my sister possibly be marrying my childhood bully?"

"Sheldon, that was years ago. I'm sure Billy has changed. You're certainly not the same person you were twenty years ago," pointed out Amy between bites of food. "I'll miss you while you're in Texas. Max is already asking me if he can come with me to pick you up when you return on Monday."

"Doesn't he have school on Monday? I thought he had a few more weeks before summer vacation?" Sheldon questioned.

Max chimed in to explain his school schedule, "It's 'morial Day, so we don't have school. There's still two weeks of school before summer vacation. I'll be in kindergarten after summer vacation is over."

Four nights later, Sheldon was in his old bedroom in his mother's house in Medford. He was getting settled in bed when there was a knock on the door. Thinking it was Mary, he indicated the knocker could enter the room. "Missy? What do you want?"

"Oh, Shelly. Can't a girl just talk to her twin brother on the night before her wedding?" commented Missy while sitting on the side of his bed.

Shifting uncomfortably in the bed, Sheldon replied, "She can, but I'm a little nervous with you being this close to me right now, after what happened the last time you came to Pasadena and you punched me."

"You don't have to worry about that. I promise to not do that to you again. Now, I told you to bring Amy and her little boy with you, but you didn't listen to me. Why didn't you bring them? You've been seeing Amy for what, three years? I still haven't met her. Penny says she's great and her son adores you. It's like having a little Sheldon, but less obnoxious."

"I don't like that you talk to Penny. Amy didn't come because I didn't ask her," he sheepishly admitted. Missy stared at her brother, unsure of what to say. Eventually, he spoke again. "I didn't ask her, because although I think the two of you would get along well, I didn't want the first time everyone meets her and Max to be at your wedding. Max is easily overwhelmed when meeting new people, especially when meeting a lot of people at one time."

Missy laid on her side across the foot of Sheldon's bed and propped her head up with her hand. "Can you tell me more about them?"

"Amy is a neurobiologist, but I've told you that. She works at UCLA," shared Sheldon about his girlfriend before focusing on her son. "Max turned five last month. He can't wait to start kindergarten in the fall. He loves trains and going to the zoo. Max can be quiet at times, but is always asking questions about why things are the way they are. He doesn't understand why he doesn't have a dad. He's been in a phase lately of asking Amy if I'm his dad, so she explains to him in her special way that I'm not his dad and why he doesn't have a dad."

"Is that something you want? To be Max's dad?" Missy was enjoying this conversation as it was a rarity for Sheldon to open up even slightly.

Shrugging, Sheldon paused for a moment. "I don't know? Maybe? He doesn't have many male role models in his life, aside from Amy's father. I enjoy spending time with him, but I don't know if I'm ready to be his dad full time. I've only known Amy for three years. It took her almost a year of knowing me before she was willing to introduce us and that was only because he woke up when I was dropping Amy off after a night out."

Missy grinned at her brother. "It sounds like you care about both of them quite a bit. You'll be an excellent father to Max when the time comes." Subtly moving her hand to rest on her abdomen, she continued, "I know you're not a fan of Billy after what happened between the two of you when we were kids, but I hope he feels the same way about our baby as you feel about Max. You haven't seen Billy in fifteen years. He's grown up and worked through the problems he had after his dad left. He's still not the brightest, but he really is a sweet guy."

"Everyone keeps telling me to give Billy a chance. I don't foresee us being close friends, but as long as he treats you right and you're happy with him, I guess I shouldn't be surly towards him," fully processing what Missy had just said, Sheldon questioned her. "What do you mean by your baby? Are you planning on starting a family right away?"

Glancing over her shoulder to confirm the door was tightly closed, "You can't tell mom, but I'm pregnant. I'm having a baby right before Christmas. We already had the wedding planned and everything when we found out, so we decided to wait to say anything until after the wedding. You have to promise to not say anything to mom or Meemaw until after we tell them on Sunday."

"You know I can't keep a secret, even if my life depended on it."

The name of Missy's husband is never mentioned in the show. I saw a suggestion somewhere for a story where Missy marries Billy Sparks and decided to include that idea in this. I really just wanted Sheldon to talk to Missy about Amy and Max and her wedding was the perfect opportunity. Side note- I find it weird that Missy and Amy don't meet in the show until Shamy's wedding.
