Final chapter. There will be a sequel. Don't have a name for it yet.

...

Returning to Hogwarts felt like a defeat. It felt as if they were dogs with their tails tucked between their legs. James couldn't believe how that brat spoke back to him and Albus.

James snarled as he slammed the door behind him, "How dare that brat defy me? He should be grateful we are willing to take him back at all! And the Black! I should have known back in school that they were good for nothing."

Albus hummed thoughtfully, "If we had known it was the Blacks who took him in years ago we could have taken him back. We should have sent him to Petunia at least there he would have learned to be grateful."

"That little shit couldn't have learned to be grateful to save his life," snarled James, "He was supposed to be a squib. How could we have gotten this so wrong, Albus?"

Minerva and Alastor came in a moment later. Minerva loomed contemplative while Alastor kept a stoic face. That very nearly sent James back off on a tirade.

Albus ran a hand through his beard as he sat behind his desk, "It's not unheard of for children's cores to take longer to recover than adults. Especially given that he couldn't recieve a potion to help. I'm not sure how I missed it however."

Minerva asked, "What do you plan on doing Albus? He's a Black now. There is no way you can remove him from the two men. Not unless you have proof of illegal activity."

James snarled, "Blacks are a Dark Family. Of course they are going something illegal! It's just a matter of finding it."

Alastor said thoughtfully, "You could have a raid done, Albus. But if you do that you had better be sure that they have something. Only then would you have a chance of getting the youth away from them. You couldn't even arrange an incident at the train station. He is through his third year which means he will have the mark of his house. It acts as a portkey if what I've heard is correct."

"How do you know that?"

James was beginning to think clearer now. If Alastor knew something about the school maybe they could force the Headmaster to expell the brat. Then he would have to go to Hogwarts.

Alastor growled, "A distant cousin who married into a Dark Family. I hid my distaste for his lineage to garner information."

"What can you tell us, Alastor?"

Alastor shook his head, "There isn't much to tell. Anyone who comes out of that school has at least one Mastery upon graduation. More often than not they have multiple. What exactly is taught however is not spoken about except in the closest of circles."

"What of the mark? Does it do anything else?"

James hoped it did. Just so they could go after the school.

Alastor said, "Nothing. I tested it myself. It will only to the person it's on to the school when activated. Every test on it came back negative. It doesn't effect the person in anyway. Nor are there any other spells on it."

Well there went that idea. James wanted to snarl and throw things like a child. There must be a way to get the brat out of the school.

Albus said steepling his fingers in front of him, "We must find a student who is willing to talk to us. Harry is still an English born. So if we can prove that they are teaching Dark Magic then we may be able to get him out of the school."

Minerva said thoughtfully, "I'll ask some of my friends. They may know someone willing to talk to us."

Alastor made a grunt and they both headed for the door. Once they were gone and far enough not to overhear James turned back to the old man.

He demanded petulantly, "Surely that isn't the only thing we are going to do?"

Albus shook his head, "No but I need time to consider. Go home to your wife and child James. Before you know it we will have the brat back. You will need to be prepared to control him."

"Yes, Albus," grumpily replied the Potter Lord.

A/N And that's it! Thank you for reading. There will be a sequel I promise! Keep tuned.
