Hi everyone! I'm here with a new chapter. The writing prompt I came across this time was someone making something, probably in honor of Valentine's Day. But since this story is not there yet, I thought... why not have a party? There is a reunion in this chapter, and you guys are going to meet the OC that started it all! Enjoy!

DISCLAIMER: I do not own anything related to "Toy Story," I only own Justine and Karena. And though not much of "Meet the Robinsons" is featured here, I own nothing from there either.

Thursday came. After a successful day at school and at work, I was home with my parents eating dinner: pigs in a blanket with green beans and fried apples. Suddenly, we heard a cell phone ringing.

"Uh-oh," Daddy said out loud, setting down his napkin.

"It must be Cornelius," Mother hypothesized as Daddy got out of his chair and up to his room.

"How often does Cornelius call?" I asked.

"He doesn't call very often," Mother answered. "Well, let's keep eating. Daddy will join us when he's done."

Just when we continued eating, my daddy came down the stairs, still holding the cell phone.

"Bo, it's for you," Daddy said, handing my mother the phone.

"For me?" Mother asked with a raised eyebrow, taking the phone. "Hmm… this is Bo."

Daddy and I both glanced at her with curiosity in our eyes. I could tell there was a gleam in my daddy's brown eyes, and there probably was one in mine also.

"Sure, I can check things out. I just need to get a plane ticket."

"A plane ticket?" I whispered to Daddy, who shrugged.

"Aww, Lewis, you didn't have to do that," Mother said with a grin on her face.

"Lewis?" Daddy whispered back at me.

"I will be there as soon as I can. Good-bye."

Mother hung up the phone and returned it to Daddy.

"What did Lewis want, Bo?" Daddy asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Cornelius paid for my plane ticket to fly to Todayland," Mother explained. "He wants me to come right away. Todayland had an epidemic and the city is just now clean of it. He wants me to check everyone who was infected to be sure they're hundred percent okay and there's truly nothing left of the disease."

"What kind of disease was everyone infected with?" I asked.

"I… don't know how to explain it, Justine," Mother answered. "Some of the people in Todayland were infected by a parasite, and six of them died."

"So, all you are doing is examining the victims of the parasite?" Daddy asked.

"Pretty much. I'm also going to go on a patrol with Giggle to make sure there's nothing left of the parasite in the city."

"When's your flight?"

"Tomorrow morning."

BO'S POV

August 24, 2040 – Todayland, North Montana, USA

"Gigs!"

"Bo!"

Giggle McDimples and I embraced after I got off the plane.

"It's great to see you, Bo!" Giggle smiled. "Or is it Dr. Pride?"

"Whatever is comfortable for you," I answered, returning the smile.

"Well, I got the tools I need to investigate the city."

"I got my bag!"

"Oh, you're going to need this."

Giggle reached in her bag and gave me…

"A magnifying glass?" I asked.

"It's no ordinary magnifying glass," Giggle explained. "It also scans the area for something out of the ordinary – something that can make people sick. It's all yours. Drs. Robinson and Hamato invented it together."

"Sweet! Well, where do we start?"

"We're going to start at Cornelius's house."

"Is that the source of the disease?" I asked, following her out of the airport.

"No, but Cornelius was very concerned about his family's safety. He wanted to be sure the disease wasn't there before sending Wilbur to his first day of senior year."

"Wilbur's his son, correct?"

"Yep!" Giggle confirmed with some giggles.

"I'm more worried about checking out the source of the disease," I replied. "Where did it originate?"

"Building U at Todayland University. Did you want to go there first?"

"Yes, we should. If there's nothing there, then I'm sure the rest of the investigation will be more fun."

Giggle and I got on the monorail, and we made sure to get off at the right spot. From there, we relied on bubble transports to get us to the university. When we got there, we were met by a security sentry.

"How may I help you, Officer McDimples?" the robot asked.

"This is Doctor Bo Pride. We need to access Classroom 1024 in this building."

"I'm just checking to see if there is any leftover residue from the parasite before students can safely attend class," I explained.

"Right this way."

We followed the sentry to the classroom. It was eventually unlocked, and we were able to get in.

"Thank you!" Giggle yelled. "Okay, where do we search first?"

"All of the corners of the classroom," I answered. "But while we search, could you please explain what exactly happened?"

"This was the room where the parasite began," Giggle explained. "The egg was of a mutant parasitic wasp. This wasp was originally in New York City almost 30 years ago when it broke out of Dr. Hamato's lab and somehow flew here. This wasp laid an egg in this classroom and protected the egg until a student named Jeanette Roland was reported missing. It turned out… the wasp stung Jeanette and infected her to the point where the only thing she could think of was protecting the egg. Forty-nine others were infected, and six did not make it."

"It sounds like a scary children's book," I spoke up with a chuckle.

"Thankfully, Dr. Hamato had the cure from when he himself was infected all those years ago, and he replicated the cure for all the remaining victims."

She paused as I continued to scan the classroom.

"So the infection came from a parasitic wasp?" I asked.

"Yep!" Giggle answered with giggles. "I'm not seeing anything here. Are you?"

"The good news is that I'm not seeing anything out of the ordinary," I answered with a smile. "And my magnifying glass did not pick up anything either. Which means it's safe here. Let's check the rest of the university."

"We should check the high school also," Giggle suggested. "Jeanette had gone to the high school and infected a student there in the science classroom through a bite."

JUSTINE'S POV

Elkhorn, Oklahoma, USA

After school, I went to work at the mercantile. Today, my job was mostly stocking the supplies and helping customers find what they were looking for. While helping someone find soap, I looked ahead to find wooden planks, planks big enough to make a sign. I went up to the counter where Auntie Jessie was working.

"How ya doin', Justine?" Auntie Jessie asked.

"I'm doing fine," I answered. "I have a question."

"Shoot!"

"I saw some wooden planks at the back of the store. Are they for sale?"

"Why would ya want wooden planks?" Auntie Jessie asked, putting her left hand on her hip.

"Mother's birthday is coming up," I explained. "And she's spending the weekend in Todayland. I want to surprise her when she gets home."

"That's right, her birthday is tomorrow," Auntie Jessie replied. "But what do the planks hafta do with it?"

"Well, I could tell you, but it's going to require your help in getting me three of those planks."

"Justine, this is a brilliant idea!" Daddy told me with a big smile on his face.

Daddy, Auntie Jessie, Uncle Buzz, and I were all assembled in Estelle's cafe as we glued the three planks together.

"It was nice of Estelle make us dinner while we are working on this," Uncle Buzz said.

"What do we need next?" Daddy asked.

"Black paint," I answered. "We need to outline all of the letters."

"And I got the stencils right here!" Auntie Jessie replied excitedly as she laid them out on the newly-made sign.

"Bo has already done so much for us," Uncle Buzz said. "From calming us down as toys to healing us as human beings. And with her birthday coming up, this is a nice way for us to thank her for what she does and for who she is."

"I couldn't have worded it better myself, Buzz," Daddy replied as we started tracing the letters. "In fact, why don't we give Bo a surprise party in town?"

"I love it!" Auntie Jessie replied excitedly. "We'll need punch, sandwiches, music—"

"Jess, are we planning a party or a dance?" Daddy asked. "Just something simple like punch and a birthday cake would be just fine for Bo."

"I can bake the cake," Estelle chimed in, bringing in a pot of chicken and dumplings. "Dig in everyone!"

All four of us got our share of dinner and sat together in the café.

"Maybe Miss Anderson can have the kids make a big card for Mother too," I suggested.

"Or even better, why don't you do it?" Daddy suggested. "You get along with everybody. It might be fun doing it, and it might give Dolly a pleasant surprise."

"So, what is going to be the plan for Bo?" Uncle Buzz asked. "When is the party? Who will bring her?"

"From what Bo told me, she'll be home Sunday evening just like last time," Daddy answered. "I'll bring her to town and that's when the party will start."

"We can start the party with Mother unveiling her own birthday present," I chimed in. "And then everyone can go in the café for cake and punch. We all would just socialize at that point. That's what Mother would want, right?"

"Exactly," Daddy answered.

"That sounds like a plan to me," Auntie Jessie replied. "I can make the punch."

We continued to eat our dinner to our hearts' content before continuing on making my mother's birthday present.

BO'S POV

My entire Saturday morning was spent going to the victims' houses and examining them to make sure there was nothing left of the parasitic virus, and Giggle drove me around in her flying car.

"Thankfully, none of the Robinsons got infected," Giggle finished telling the story. "Wilbur, not Cornelius, is the resourceful one."

"So Wilbur is the one who put the wasps out of their miseries?" I asked.

"From what I've seen, this is not the first time Wilbur saved the city. He's smarter than he looks."

"Like father, like son, I suppose. Where to next?"

"The apartments by Todayland University. We're supposed to find a Karena Edwards."

"Got it."

I sat and enjoyed the rest of the ride, but there was something about the name of my next patient that sounded familiar, like I've met her before.

"Karena… that's a pretty name."

"I hope she's not like all the other Karens I've known," Giggle replied.

"I highly doubt that."

We eventually arrived at the apartments and came upon a robot sentry.

"We're looking for a Karena Edwards," Giggle told the sentry.

"I'm here to examine her," I chimed in.

"Down the hall in apartment 1H," the robot told us.

"Thank you," we both told him.

We walked down the hall until we reached Karena's apartment and knocked on the door. The door opened to reveal another robot.

"Giggle, how many robots are in Todayland?" I whispered.

"Like I've said before, I'm the only officer who's human," Giggle answered in a whisper.

"May I help you?" the robot, a female, asked.

"Hello, I'm Dr. Pride and this is Officer McDimples," I answered. "We're here to check on Karena and examine her. I hear she was infected by the parasitic virus?"

"Ah, yes, please come in. I will get my mistress."

The apartment looked more vintage than I imagined. There was a lot of retro furniture and equipment in the apartment, and it looked like something out of a 1950s diner. There was even a record player, something I know Woody would enjoy seeing. Every piece of furniture I saw was light blue and white, which brightened the apartment and made it lively.

"Hi there! What can I do for you?"

We turned to see a young woman with wavy brown hair tied back in a ponytail. She was wearing a purple polka-dotted dress and purple heels.

"Are you Karena Edwards?" I asked.

"I am. Is something wrong?"

"No, nothing is wrong," I assured her. "I'm Doctor Bo Pride and this is Officer Giggle McDimples. Cornelius Robinson has asked me to examine all of the patients of the parasitic virus and make sure you are fully cured."

"Oh! Well in that case, please make yourself comfortable – I mean, I'll make myself comfortable."

I watched Karena's cheeks turn red as she sat down at the table.

"Why don't we go in the bedroom, Karena?" I suggested.

"That's a good idea," Karena replied sheepishly.

Karena led me to her bedroom, which looked very different from the rest of the apartment. The walls were a light green and the bed had purple sheets and blankets. Karena sat down on the bed, and I pulled up a chair to sit next to her.

"Are you having any symptoms, Karena?" I asked as I took out my stethoscope.

"No."

"Are you in pain anywhere?"

"No, ma'am."

As I continued to examine her, I heard chuckling from my patient.

"Are you alright, Karena?"

"Yes, I'm sorry," Karena answered. "I don't usually have a doctor check up on me. Then again, I've had my fair share of doctors lately."

"You should go to the doctor once a year at least," I encouraged her. "That way you'll know if something doesn't feel right and how you can take care of yourself. Have you gone to the doctor because of the virus?"

"No, I have no memory of what happened while I had the virus. One moment I was investigating the classroom the virus started in and the next I found my boyfriend Wilbur holding me in my arms. I was feeling kind of faint."

I finally realized why Karena's name sounded familiar, and I smiled at what little she could tell me.

"Temporary amnesia seems to be common among all the parasitic patients," I assured her. "You were able to remember what happened after you were cured?"

"Yes, ma'am. Wilbur and I worked together with Dr. Hamato to cure what we could of the city, and we gave a funeral to the six victims who died. I lived my summer as I always have: working at Denny's and spending time with Wilbur and his family."

I gave Karena a smile.

"Well, the good news is everything checks out: your anatomy is normal and there is no more trace of the virus in you. Do you have any questions for me?"

Karena shook her head.

"Alright, I will be on my way. If you have any more questions, please call Cornelius."

"I take it you're not from here?" Karena asked.

"That's correct. I'm from eastern Oklahoma. Cornelius asked me to fly here and examine everyone before school starts again. A second opinion never hurts. But I am encouraged that everyone I have examined is doing well."

"Thank you, Dr. Pride."

"Thank you, Karena."

We smiled at each other before Giggle and I left the apartment.

"Giggle! I remember why Karena sounded familiar!"

"Have you met her before?" Giggle asked.

"Yes! Way back in 2017, but Karena doesn't know it yet."

"Let me guess: time travel?"

"How do you know about time travel?" I asked with surprise in my voice.

"Oh please, time travel's been around since 2024," Giggle explained with giggles. "I worked at TIME headquarters for a while before finding the rest of the gang in Todayland."

"What did you do, guard the time machine?" I asked sarcastically.

"Actually, yes! It was the most exciting job in the world at the time! So what happened that you met Karena in 2017?"

"When Woody and I met Karena, she had taken a time machine to Oklahoma by mistake. She mentioned she was getting married in 2042."

"But it's only 2040—"

"Exactly. Which means Karena's not engaged yet. That's why I stayed quiet. When it comes to time travel, Gigs, you have to keep that information discreet. Time travel is… the most interesting and complex subject to talk about. I will tell you, however, that Woody and I treated Wilbur and Karena as normal house guests, and we didn't inquire at all about our future."

"Well, Karena was the last patient we had to see," Giggle told me. "Why don't we give Cornelius our findings?"

"Excellent idea, Gigs."

We high-fived each other before heading back to Robinson Industries.

JUSTINE'S POV

"I think it turned out nicely!" Auntie Jessie said proudly as we finished making my mother's birthday present.

"I love the way the light pink is brought out by the dark blue," Uncle Buzz replied. "This suits Bo perfectly."

"And the brown border completes it," Daddy chimed in with a proud smile.

"Do you think maybe we should clean her office also?" I asked. "Mother's been getting patients all day every day, and she can only do so much cleaning."

"Ya know, I think Justine here is right?" Auntie Jessie replied. "Let's do Bo a big favor. Spice her clinic up!"

"I have posters of human anatomy when I was in training to go to space," Buzz suggested. "Maybe I can donate them to her."

"Oh, she'd love that," Daddy replied.

"Justine, why don't you come with me to clean up the office?" Uncle Buzz suggested.

"I gotta get back to watching the town," Daddy replied.

"And I hafta get back to the mercantile," Auntie Jessie said. "Justine, don't forget we're going to McAlester later tonight."

Uncle Buzz and I separated from my daddy and aunt, and we walked to my mother's clinic. Uncle Buzz managed to unlock the door to let us in.

"Justine, why don't you start cleaning up while I go get those anatomy drawings?"

I nodded as Uncle Buzz left for the mercantile, which was also his home with Auntie Jessie. I took a look around and immediately started to envision my own practice someday. As my imagination came to life – the desk, the table where I would be giving flea shots to pets, and other medicines on a shelf, I realized something was missing. What if I were to combine two things I love: having both a clinic and stables for horses to ride around? Maybe a barn for farm animals also? I smiled at the idea of having my own ranch just like my parents, and I felt myself leaning against my mother's desk, continuing to be entranced in my dreams.

"Justine!"

Suddenly, I saw a hand waving in front of my face, and I was brought out of my daydream.

"Uncle Buzz! I am so sorry! I must have been daydreaming."

We both laughed.

"I've been there too, Justine. I used to dream all the time about returning to Star Command and being the best Space Ranger there ever was."

"Did you dream that as a toy or as a human?" I asked with a grin.

"Well, both. As your dad told you, I thought I was a Space Ranger when I was first brought to Andy's room. But when I transformed, I thought… that maybe my dreams could become real after all. I was saddened that Star Command did not exist, but working with Cornelius to work at the International Space Station and the space stations that came after that? That was a dream come true. And the kids in Weatherford just love my stories."

I smiled at that. I do not usually hear of Uncle Buzz talking about what makes him happy, but when he does, it was delightful.

"What were you dreaming about, Justine?"

"Well, you know I want to be a veterinarian, right?"

Uncle Buzz nodded.

"I was just thinking about how I could have both a veterinarian clinic and a ranch for farm animals. Not just for me, but for the owners of those pets who are worried. A ride on a horse always helped me clear my mind."

"Well, look at you being all industrial!" Uncle Buzz replied, clapping his hands together. "You sound like your mom."

"Don't forget, Uncle Buzz, it was my dad who brought the town to life."

I froze when I realized what I just said: my dad. Not my daddy – my dad. Then I thought about myself, a sixteen-year-old girl who is almost a young woman. I have not felt like a little girl ever since I started going to school.

"Justine, are you dreaming again?" I heard Uncle Buzz ask me.

"Oh! Sorry! We should start cleaning the clinic before I fall into any more daydreams."

We chuckled and started cleaning and rearranging the clinic.

BO'S POV

I woke up in my hotel room bright and early and walked to my window to see the view of the utopian city… or not-so-utopian city. I finished my assignment on examining all my patients who were infected by a parasite, and from what Giggle has told me, Todayland was not immune to crime, which reminded me of the saying, "Crime never sleeps." Woody would quote that every time he came home from chasing a bandit.

I smiled, excited to see him and Justine. I smiled even bigger when I realized my birthday was yesterday, and that I would be home to celebrate it, even if it was a day late. Giggle had taken me to the Cheesecake Factory last night to celebrate my birthday as best friends. But words could not describe my surprise when Giggle got Danny, Benny, and Duke to celebrate with us. It truly was a reunion among us, the lost toys, and I enjoyed every minute. Danny and Benny even broke into one of their comedy routines just for me, and by the end of the night, I could not stop laughing.

I walked away from the view and changed into my pink jumpsuit. I brushed my teeth, got the curlers out of my hair, and put it all in a ponytail. After affirming that I looked beautiful, I took the elevator down to the lobby for breakfast. I made myself some pancakes with strawberry syrup, and I also grabbed some scrambled eggs and apple juice. I sat alone, but I enjoyed myself.

I walked back to my hotel room and packed all of my things. I met Giggle down in the hotel lobby and we rode the monorail to the airport. When we approached the gate, we gave each other a good-bye hug.

"I hope you come back soon," Giggle told me. "It was wonderful to see you again."

"This isn't good-bye, Gigs," I replied with a smile. "We'll see each other soon. Who knows when Cornelius will need me again?"

We laughed.

"See you later, Gigs."

"See ya later, Bo."

We waved, and I got on the plane. Todayland was well behind me when I took out a tablet to read an eBook. I decided that I wanted to read an autobiography, and I ended up reading about Lucille Ball's life. After finishing, I tried to find an episode on what is perhaps the most famous comedy show of all time, I Love Lucy, and played the episode. The men, Ricky and Fred, convinced their wives, Lucy and Ethel, to switch roles. Ricky and Fred would take care of the apartment while Lucy and Ethel landed jobs as candymakers. The episode was such a riot! Ricky had tried to make chicken-and-rice and Fred tried to make a seven-layered cake. The cake had ended up being only one layer – Fred said he combined the seven layers and mixed it with the frosting. The kitchen ended up being a mess! But perhaps there was nothing more comical than Lucy and Ethel's last attempt to keep their jobs: wrapping candies. The job was clearly more than they could chew, and they ended up being fired. I was laughing so hard that I had strange looks from the other passengers, but I didn't care.

As we were told that we were now in Oklahoma, I put on another episode. This time, it was Lucy scheming to be on television as the Vitametavegemin girl. Lucy had told the girl that was supposed to be on the commercial that the job was already taken and she had gone down to the studio herself, billing herself as Lucille McGillicudy instead of Lucy Ricardo. Lucy ended up being drunk as the result of the director having her drink one too many sips of the supposed ailment that contained twenty-three percent of alcohol, and the episode itself was a riot when Ricky carried her off the stage while she cited the commercial.

The episode ended just as the plane landed, and I got off the plane to see a surprise: only Justine was waiting for me. We ran to each other and embraced each other.

"Hi, Mom!" Justine greeted me with a big smile.

"Mom?" I asked, returning the smile. "Well, that's different. But who cares? It's wonderful to see you! Where's your daddy?"

"Dad is at home, preparing for your return," Justine replied. Dad?

"So how come you're here alone?" I asked.

Justine reached into her bag and gave me a small tablet. I pushed the button on the tablet, and I was in for another surprise: it was a hologram of Justine's driver's license!

"You got your license?" I asked, beaming from one cheek to the other. "Well congratulations, Justine! How does it feel?"

"I feel very proud of myself," Justine answered as we started to walk out of the airport.

"How did you get it?"

"Well, Auntie Jessie took me to McAlester to do her shopping and my reporting, and she thought it was a good idea for me to get tested. So I did and I passed the test."

"Did your daddy know?" I asked.

"Oh yeah! Dad was ecstatic that I got my license. He was surprised also."

"Well, here's my next question: do you know how to get home from here?"

Justine let out a chuckle and a sigh.

"Yes, Mom, I know how to get home. I drove home from here before."

We got into Woody's flying car, and I could not help but watch my daughter drive. Words could not describe how proud I was of her taking the reins. We hardly exchanged words the entire ride, but I did not blame Justine for it. She was concentrating on us making it home safely. But I was surprised again: we were riding into town.

"Justine, you know we can't park the flying car in town," I told her skeptically.

"Don't worry Mom, Dad told me what to do."

Justine parked the car behind Estelle's café, and we walked around the building into town. There was a crowd outside the clinic, with Woody staring right at me in the front. We ran toward each other and embraced before Woody gave me a kiss on the forehead.

"How was your trip?" Woody asked.

"It was different, but I did what I needed to do and I had fun. But what is all this?"

"Follow me."

Woody took my hand and led me around the crowd. We, along with Justine, Jessie, and Buzz, were now standing by the door.

"Excuse me, folks!" Woody said into the megaphone. "May I have your attention please?"

The town went quiet.

"Bo has done so many things for this town and contributed to our growth. But now, she does more than tend to her sheep and help us grow emotionally. She is our doctor, healing our physical wounds and calming us down when we're scared. Her birthday was yesterday, but she took a trip to Todayland and could not be here with us."

Woody paused and turned toward me.

"Happy birthday, Bo. Would you like to unwrap your present?"

Woody gave me a rope. I tugged on it and a cloth fell down. I gasped. I had just unveiled a brand new sign for my clinic: "Bo Pride, Medicine Doctor." The letters were in a light pink color while the background of the sign was a nice cerulean blue. The brown border completed the sign.

"Woody, did you do all this?" I asked in awe.

"No, I did not. Actually, it was Justine's idea. The four of us pitched in to make the sign."

"Would you like to see your new clinic?" Justine asked with a smile.

I nodded, though I was puzzled. Justine led me inside the clinic, where there was a whole different look to it. My desk had been moved across the room so that I would be able to greet patients when they walked in the door. The table was next to the desk against the wall. Behind the table were anatomy charts that I had never seen before. There was now a cupboard next to the table full of medicines and cleaning supplies, and there was now a sink built in. Lastly, against the windows, were a row of chairs, and I noticed a row of chairs outside the clinic also.

"What do you think, Mom?" Justine asked.

I had smiled the whole time, and I continue to smile, almost to the point where I was in tears.

"I don't know what else to say except… I love it. Justine, did you do all this?"

"Nope! Uncle Buzz helped me out."

"This is the best homecoming I could ever imagine. Thank you all so much."

"Well, come on, Bo!" Woody said happily. "Estelle has some cake and Jessie made some punch. Let's go celebrate your birthday!"

I mingled with everyone in town, talking of my adventures in Todayland and remembering all that we had done in Andy's room. I even learned some new stories about their adventures in Bonnie's room. But my best adventure in Elkhorn, was with Woody and Justine. They made my life complete, and I continued to smile the rest of the day.
