Chapter 5
From Boy to Man, with A BIG FLAMING SWORD

It is now 199.M42 over at Carolea. Carolus Rex is spending some time at the library not too far from the Hearth Orphanage. It is a massive library with gigantic bookshelves that stretch up to the sixty-foot ceilings full of books ranging from size, color and thickness yet placed in a methological matter ranging from encyclopedias, fictional novels, and many more. However, Carolus is at a table with a large selection of books. Many of them include cooking, cleaning, and how to raise children. Right now, he is ready an old recipe book from ancient Terran times before they start using meat such as Grox. Carolus himself is now a young man with a very sharp jawline with his hair being slightly longer.

"Hey there!" a blonde hair woman with a white dress that partially reveals her chest and fully reveals her shoulders and legs and has blue eyes. This is Ristarte, another Founder that has taken on a waifu appearance except from Cautious Hero.

"Hello, Goddess Ristarte." Carolus says as the goddess takes a seat.

"I told you, just call me Rista. It's been how many years now?"

Carolus put his book down, "I think nineteen years?"

"Hard to believe it's been that long. Not to mention that you've become a fine young man."

Carolus rubs the back of his head and feels embarrassed, "You really think so?"

"Although, too bad your with Hestia and not in my familia. I would treat you right."

"Thanks but no thanks. I'm already spoken for."

Rista glances over at the books, "Aha. Trying to help Hestia with all the other orphans by using these books? You are such a simp for Hestia."

"Please don't call me that. Although, some people find it weird that some people love their gods even though they were raised by them."

"That maybe true, but we don't find it weird. We've been around for tens of thousands of years and to be honest, being immortal can get boring. Some of us try to raise children to be the perfect marriage partner for us just out of boredom or we really want the perfect partner for a short time."

"I know that, but Hestia, well, already has a lot on her plate so I highly doubt we'll get any romances. So, I'm trying to help her out so I will get notice."

Rista tease by petting Carolus' head, "Such a good boy.~"

"Hey, cut it out!"

"Anyway, I heard Rugu got promoted to corporal in the military."

"That's good news. Although, I know that we're in trouble now that the barrier is down, I wish that Rugu would use his brain instead of his muscles."

"That's true. But he's part Saiyan. It's in his nature to go out and fight."

"But it is worrisome. The reason being is because I heard one of those Chaos gods that feeds on anger, hatred and battle. I'm worried that Rugu will give into his hot-temper emotions and become a pawn."

"That is possible. But so far, only twelve Saiyans have fallen under the Rage Curse. Everyone else made it out okay." She stands up, "However, I do have a message. Hestia wishes to see you. Something about your heritage."

"Huh?"

In the living room of the Hearth Orphanage, Hestia is sitting on her chair while looking down at a parcel on the coffee table. It is long and covered in cloth yet from one end, there is a golden head of an eagle poking out and stares back at Hestia.

"I'm not too sure about this." Hestia says to herself out loud. "I know that Carolus is a man now. Helping me out, taking on responsibilities. I know that its is father's wish, but I'm worried that he might take the same path as he did. I've already lost many children during the expansion and I'm afraid that he may leave." She looks at the eagle's head, "What do you think?"

A few knocks were heard at the door.

"Come in!"

Yuka enters the room. She is now a full grown lady that is wearing miko attire with the symbol of Hestia's familia on her right breast. Speaking of, she is now a D-cup. Her hair is refine and tied into a lower ponytail.

"Excuse me, Hestia, but Carolus is here." she speaks in a way a noble woman would.

Hestia smiles, "Bring him in."

Carolus enters the room and takes a seat across from Hestia.

Hestia looks at Yuka, "You can leave now."

"As you wish." Yuka bows before leaving. However, she is curious and keeps an ear on the door after closing the door.

Hestia then has a serious expression as she looks at Carolus. "There is something that you must know."

"Are you seeing someone else?"

"What?! No! Not that! This is about something your inheritance!"

"Oh thank goodness." Carolus was relief. "I mean, okay. I mean...uh... Right." Carolus looks down at the table. "So, what is this?"

"It was your father's. He left it behind a long time ago and to give it to you when you're old enough."

Carolus takes the parcel up and removes the cloth. The reveal is a sword. A great sword with a golden eagle as a handle yet has an Aquila on the hilt along with some sort of knight's cross on it with the blade being as black as the void of space itself. It feels a bit heavy yet something about it draws him in that makes it feel weightless.

"This was my father's?" Carolus asks while admiring the sword.

"It is. That sword there is actually a replica of another sword that was used to destroy the Creatures of the Warp. Not just banish, completely destroy. Even to the souls that it has cleaved or by a mere scratch from the blade. Although, the scabbard was lost ages ago."

Carolus then notices the hilt, "Isn't that the Aquila from that other space faction in the galaxy? The one that enslaved much of humanity into a monotheistic and oppressive religion and turns the corpses of its people into food or lobotomize cyborgs."

"It is. But that is not always true. Your father was part of a special group of species that were spawned from a great being that gave him, and all his brothers, immortality. They had the power to fight against the Warp and have incredible abilities. However, despite their greatness, they were seen as vile creatures by the people that have that bird symbol and were either killed or have vanished. Your father and some of his brothers were part of the group that had disappeared from the same society that they wanted to protect yet see them as monsters. After the barrier was destroyed by a cataclysmic event in the galaxy over 200 years ago, he came here and settled while also undoing their vital flaw: their infertility. The technology we have here helped them and they managed to create families and start a new life. Your father and his brothers even told us about the Warp and the creatures that dwell within it."

"I see..." He continues to admiring the blade until he realizes something. "Wait, my father had brothers? I have...cousins? Do you know where they are?" Carolus, upon learning this new information, may have an extended family in the Archaeo Coalition.

"Sorry, but no. They might be out there somewhere living their own lives like you do. But I wasn't sure about giving something like this to you." Hestia starts to worry, "I was worried that you might head out and join the war to expand the Coalition. So..."

"I'm not leaving." Carolus says as he wraps the sword and puts it down.

"What?" Hestia was caught by surprise.

"Come on now. You know I would never join in any battles. My place is here. After all, someone's gotta protect the children and our only home. Not to mention that someone has to hold down the fort on the day when members of our familia come home. Assuming that they ever get home or at least remember or capable of finding it."

Hestia smiles with some tears flowing down her cheeks, "I'm glad to hear. We've already lost much."

Carolus then looks at the door, "How long are you gonna eavesdrop, Yuka?"

Footsteps can be heard running away from the door.

"As for what I'm gonna do, I will defend our home. Defend you, the children, and all those from whatever disaster that will come."

Eldar Craftworld Ulthwe

Deep in the craftworld dedicated to Isha, two farseers are in a room where they peer into a glowing sphere in the center. Farseer Caerys and Farseer Eldrad try to see what the future holds.

"I'm not seeing anything." Caerys complains.

"Indeed." Eldrad agrees, "I'm not entirely sure if we're getting some sort of interference or this is really the end times. Ever since the Great Rift had appeared, our visions keep on getting blurry and blurry as the years go by. The Ynnari have already begun the process of reclaiming the Crone Worlds that were lost since the birth of Slaanesh. We have forged an alliance with the Mon-keigh to continue the fight against Chaos, the Necrons, the barbaric Orks, and the rising of the Tau Empire."

Caerys says, "Lady Yvraine's relationship with the blueberry poster boy of the Imperium has been blossoming. But can Primarch's...uh...reproduce?"

"I don't know and I don't wanna know. But I heard he and his brothers are on their way to some area outside our galaxy to find some lost and ancient technology."

"Speaking of, we have a woman from that Coalition being interrogated by our Warlocks. She may look Mon-keigh, but built like those Astartes. Highly dangerous and even ripped apart some of our Wraithguards. With her bare-hands."

"Seriously?"

"By Isha's booty, yes."

"DAMN! What manner of creature do we have in our custody that is capable of doing that?!"

"From what we learned from this Joana creature, she is a Syrbota. A mutated breed of Mon-keigh known for their size and strength."

"Size?"

"They stand twelve feet tall. Big, and like I said, built like an Astartes. She refuse to answer most of our questions as if she is immune to pain and have a strong will."

"By Isha's tears. We should keep that woman under heavy guard if she ever tries to break out. Maybe we should asks Yvraine to send in some troops to assist the Imperium in these new solar systems."

"Hold on!" Caerys notices a change in the sphere. "Something is coming into view!"

The two farseers take a good look into what the future holds.

"Oh gods." Farseer Eldrad's tone has gotten serious. "Oh fuck! We should warn the Ynnari at once!"

In another plane of existence, the Deceiver makes a quick call. The one shard under the Drukhari have.

"Come on, come on!" He sounds serious. "Pick-up! This is important!"

The Necron one finally answers, "Hello?"

"FINALLY! Listen, I have some urgent news! Word from the grape vine that the End Times are now upon us! WE ARE FFFFFFUCKED! Absolutely, positively, UNDENIABLY BONED!"

"Whoa, whoa, slow down there! I feel like I'm missing something."

"NOW IS NOT THE TIME FOR IT IS ENDING! TIME IS ENDING!" he shrieks through the void. "From what those fuckwits from the Ulthwe ship said to some of the other fuckwits in the Webway, there is something about to happen that will spearhead the End Times!"

"I thought Kaldor Draigo is supposed to cause that and look how well that went."

"EVEN WORSE! This new faction is gonna be the heralds of the ending of the perpetual war that make sure that this fucking universe DOESN'T END!"

"Oh fuck!"

"I know! I need you to get your Necrons and cause some havoc to ensure it never fucking happens or we'll be in the shit! Help out the Ynnari bastards and the Imperial dipshits to stop it!"

"Yeah, uh... About that. The Necrons of Thokt are busy fighting the Tyranids and we may not be able to make it. Same with the Sarnekh."

"FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUCCCKKKKKK! FUCK FUCK FUCK! FUCKY FUCKY SHIT! GAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!" He takes a deep breath to calm down. "Okay. Okay. What about the lesser dynasty at uuuhhh... Nervkor. Yes! Those guys! Do you have his number? I lost track of that one."

"I could try to contact him myself."

"GOOD! Fill him in and have them destroy everything while helping out the Imperium dumbasses and the pointy-ear shits."

"I'll get right on that. But how far are is the Imperium army at now?"

In the Warp...

The Primarchs are traveling in the Warp as they make their way towards the new solar systems. Buuuuttt...they are getting impatient.

"Are we there yet?" Leman asks.

"Not there yet." Magnus says.

"Are we there yet?'

"No."

"Are we there yet?"

"Stop it."

"Are we there yet?"

"Shut it!" Magnus is getting annoyed.

"Are we there yet?"

"Cut it out!"

"Are we there yet?"

"Shut the fuck up!"

"Are we there yet?"

"SHUT IT!" Now he's losing all patience.

"Are we there yet?"

"STOP!"

"ARE WE THERE YET?!"

"FUCK YOU, LEMAN RUSS, AND FUCK YOUR REFERENCES! YOU KNOW WHAT; SHOVE IT UP YOUR WOLF AND GO SCREW YOUR OWN WOLF YOU WOLF WOLF ASS!"

"...How about another round of Stellaris to pass the time?"

"...Okay. Long as it keep you quiet."

"Can you keep it down?!" Corvus says down the halls, "I'm trying to work on my next depressing, dark, super-deep poem here!"

"Sorry!" Magnus apologizes to Corvus, "But would you like to play another round of Stellaris!?"

"Sure!"

Kitten shouts from another part of the ship, "Can I play!?"

"FUCK YOU, COMPANION! You keep winning all the fucking time, so no!"

"And no one likes a bragging winner!" shout Leman.

"Awww..."

Santodes shouts from another end of the ship, "Did somebody say; Stellaris?!"

"I too would like to play another round." says Rogal from another section of the ship. "I would like to make more structures and reinforce more trade lanes."

Captain Godfrey of the Blood Ravens asks from another ship, "Can we Astartes play, too?! I don't know much about this game, but Wii would like to play."

AN: Hey everyone! Hope you guys are doing alright. Just to give you the heads up, I am gonna do a special in the next chapter and yes, it is gonna be Stellaris so expect from hilarity. I mean the first time they played Stellaris before departing Terra. Until then, later y'all!
