Somehow, and I don't know how, but we all managed to pull through. Even after Bolin had caught Mako and Korra kissing, the two brothers made up and they all sorted things out, which just left me and my feelings for Bolin. I told him straight how I felt after their next match had been won whilst I healed his shoulder, taking a deep breath and just going for the plunge. "Listen, Bolin, I know things are a little crazy right now but since everyone else is being honest with their feelings, I feel like I should too." I began, praising myself for such a strong start as Bolin blinked at me in surprise. "I really like you. I think you're funny and sweet, I adore your little dimples and I really enjoy being in your company. I know that you like Korra and that's okay, but I just wanted you to know."

"Wow, Kanna, that's…" Bolin actually blushed as I continued to heal his shoulder for him and he looked away a little awkwardly. "That's really nice of you to say but, I've always just seen you as one of the guys, you know? A friend." Okay, not what I was hoping for but at least he was honest. Suck it up Kanna. Brave face.

"Sure! Nothing has to change, I just want you to know I'll be here for you if ever you need me. Okay?" I smiled at him before I then pressed the water into his skin, healing the core of the injury before finally I was done. "Good as new! Try not to move it too much for a while or injure it again straight away or next time it will be a job for the hospital." With a smile Bolin stood up, flexed his arm then ruffled my hair.

"See? You're a great friend Kanna, the best!" He thanked me however just then, those awful guys from the Wolf-Bats team came back to drop off their gear. They'd won their match in a straight knock out, meaning that they would be the ones that my friends would face later. Mako had already left with Asami and Korra had to run in order to get back to the temple to finish her chores, leaving just Bolin and I alone with them.

"Well look here, not so tough without your girlfriend here to protect you." The jerk water-bender, Tahno, leered at us both and it made my skin crawl as Bolin stood up and pointed a finger at Tahno.

"You leave Korra out of this! And I so wish she was my girlfriend, but that's not the point!" He added and I smacked my hand to my face. He could be so dense sometimes. Tahno smirked, opening his mouth however I placed my hand on Bolin's arm and pulled him back.

"Come on, let's just get out of here. No conflicts between teams, remember?" I reminded him before shooting Tahno a dark look. "Save it for the arena." My challenging glare only seemed to encourage that douchebag as he leaned towards me curiously, eyes glancing me over carefully.

"Guess you got a stock of girls already prepared to fight your battles for you, huh." He mused before reaching out and tilting my chin upwards. "You're pretty. Someone like you shouldn't associate with people like that. How about I show you what it's really like to live it up in this city?" I didn't like the sound of that suggestion so I slapped his hand away and with a crack of my head, slammed my brow against his. Ripping backwards Tahno yelled in pain, everyone freezing in place as I towered over him, standing tall with my feet parted ready to fight.

"Conflicts between teams might not be allowed, but I'm not on any team you jerk, so come and bring it on." I challenged, cocking a hand as Tahno gripped his head where it began to grow red and swollen. Without warning I heard the rushing sound of water behind me and I whirled around, seeing the water rise up like a claw before it grabbed me around the middle and I screamed, lashing out as it surrounded me and dragged me down into the pool below, Bolin yelling my name before the sound was cut off. Not again, I hate water! I HATE it! Agh!

My legs and arms flailed as I tried to push myself upwards however the water didn't respond, fighting against me and in a panic, I froze the ice over completely with a burst of power which made it even colder. With my air rapidly depleting and my eyes wide, I saw Bolin as he ran onto the ice and began to punch at it, trying to break through as I reached up to him. I was sinking and losing the light, watching as Bolin drifted away and my eyes turned downwards, my vision wavering as a dark shape rose from the depths to face me.

My father's face loomed before me and I stared, seeing the pale features frozen and dead as his eyes opened, milky white and terrifying before all at once he reached out and grabbed me, making me scream. The water trembled with wrath at my scream as Bolin used the earth discs to try and bust his way through however they crumbled under the thick hide of the ice until suddenly, a hand shot out and flung him to the side. "I'll do it." Tahno lifted his hands and brought them down, breaking the ice and causing it to melt before then diving into the pool. As my father's hand dragged me down to the bottom of the pool I choked on my last gasp of air before it was released, leaving me completely empty though I forced myself not to breathe in.

This is why I hate water. It was deceptive and has a mind of its own, wanting to kill everything in its path. I hate it. I hate it so much. It terrifies me. A pair of arms suddenly grabbed me by the waist before we were shooting upwards without warning, a spiralling cyclone of water lifting Tahno out of the water where he then elegantly stepped onto the platform. "Kanna! Kanna talk to me! Say something!" Bolin yelled as I started to cough and splutter, sucking in a deep breath before opening my eyes. Tahno was smirking rather proudly at me, making me growl in irritation.

"Jackass." I hissed, pushing him away as I found my feet however Bolin quickly grabbed me, helping to keep me upright as I held onto him tightly. "Don't ever…ever…do that to me again." I warned him, still struggling for breath however when I looked Tahno in the eye, he flinched back nervously at the darkness that gathered there. "Or I'll kill you."

"Okay, we should get you out of here. Come on Kanna, I'll carry you on my back, you're barely weigh a thing so it'll be fine. That's it, steady." Bolin was so sweet, even as I shivered I couldn't help but sink against him as he lifted me up onto his back then carried me back up, leaving Tahno behind. Gripping onto Bolin tightly I closed my eyes and tried to block the images of the water behind me. If I ever end up in the water again, it'll be too soon.
