Luz watched the large demon wrap her tail around the nest of blankets holding her egg. Luz closed the door and walked away. She went downstairs and opened her demon book.

"Let's see what the book says about reproduction cycles." She said, looking through the book, "The egg changes color from dark blue or black to white or off white with grey speckles depending from where it is in development. When it is in the whitish color, then it is close to hatching. So, the egg could hatch any day now."

"Luz, you coming?" Eda asked, "We have to do your entrance exam if you want to be accepted into Hexside."

"I forgot about that."

Luz put the book away and sprinted out the door. Eda chuckled and closed the door behind her.

"This girl is really something else."

They flew to Hexside, Luz getting more nervous.

"Is it normal to feel this nervous?" Luz asked.

"Kid, relax, you know two spells, the principal likes you, and you saved the school... twice. You'll do fine."

They land in front of the school and went in. They passed by a certain green haired witch and Luz couldn't help but start a conversation.

"Amity, hi!"

"Hi, Luz." Amity said, "Are you here to do the entrance exam?"

"Yep, how did you do?"

"I beat Emira's score by three points." Amity said, before holding her stomach and groaning.

"Are you okay?"

"I... I'm fine. I'm sure I just ate some undercooked food." Amity said, holding her stomach, "I have to go."

Amity quickly walked away. Luz was about to follow her, but Eda grabbed her arm.

"No time for Minty. We're trying to get you enroll into school."

"But... Amity could be hurt."

"We'll deal with that later." Eda said, "Kid, I've seen her, she's strong. She'll be fine."

Luz looked at the direction Amity went in.

"Are you sure?"

"More than sure, she's a strong kid." Eda said.

Eda and Luz walked into the school. In another part of the Isles, Belos sat in the throne as he waited. It didn't take long until Golden Guard showed up.

"You called, Uncle?"

"Yes, I did. As the Golden Guard, our relationship is merely professional, but as your Uncle and legal guardian, it is my job to keep you safe." Belos stood up, "You are no longer ordered to watch the Avatar."

"What?"

"I have discovered who is causing this chaos and have deemed it too dangerous for you to be involved in."

"Uncle, you can't be serious. Do you think I can't handle hard missions?" Hunter asked, "Is it because I can't do magic?"

Belos stayed quiet. Hunter got annoyed.

"Uncle, I don't need magic to be powerful, I have my staff, I am trained, I can handle this."

"It's not that, Hunter." Belos said.

"Then what is it!?"

"The person doing this is insane." Belos said, "He has an army, he has power, he will not hesitate to kill you."

"That sounds like every other person you've fought!"

"Damn it, Hunter, just listen! He isn't just some random person! He is the only person I'm afraid of! He's the only person that has come close to killing me! He's the person that cursed me!"

"Who is it!?"

"Your father!"

The room got quiet, tension so thick you could cut it with a knife. Hunter took a step back in shock.

"W-w-what?"

Belos turned his head and closed his eyes, though you couldn't see it behind his mask, just in order to avoid looking at Hunter. Hunter got tired of the silence and broke it.

"You told me my father died fighting a wild witch!" Hunter said.

"I lied." Belos said, "I didn't want you to know the truth."

"What is the truth!"

"Your father didn't want you! He wanted to kill you, okay!" Belos said, "I had to take you and get you far away from him!"

Hunter closed his fist and his hands started to shake.

"You... lied to me... MY ENTIRE LIFE!"

"Hunter-"

"What else have you lied about!? What about my mother, did he kill her too, or did you!? You made me think my father was someone that fought to save me! What else did you lie about!?"

Hunter turned around and stomped to the door.

"Hunter. Hunter! Stop this instant." He didn't stop, "As your Emperor, I command you to stop!"

Belos placed a hand on Hunter's shoulder, which caused Hunter to turn around and swipe his arm at Belos, causing a strong stream of fire to follow. Belos backed up to avoid the fire, but fell down because of the surprise attack. Hunter reached up and pulled off his mask and unclipped his cloak. He let the cloak fall.

"Maybe Golden Guard will listen to Emperor Belos." He threw the mask at Belos, "But I'm not the Golden Guard."

He walked out the door, slamming it behind him. Belos got up and picked the mask up. He closed his eyes and heard Caine's voice from the last time they fought.

"What's the matter, Philip, afraid to hit your older brother?"

Belos let out a sigh.

"I'm not the same passive person I was all those years ago. I'm not afraid to kill you, Caine."
