The girl complied nearly instantly, sitting down on the lone chair in front of his desk. Silco had to hide his smirk at the girl's obvious fear, he got some sick satisfaction out of scaring people. He treated her no differently. "What is your name, girl?" He asked, leaning back in his chair and pulling a cigar out of the box on his desk, slicing it cleanly and lighting it.

"Sapphire." She replied, her voice more confident than she really felt. Perhaps the alcohol was helping after all. He hummed in thought before taking a puff of his cigar, blowing it back out into the air. Sapphire took the time to examine the office of the biggest crime lord of Zaun. Knowing he had an absurd amount of money, she noticed his office was quite simple. There was a large red couch to her left and the wall to her right was covered in books and bookshelves. It looked like a fairly usual office except for the man that used it. There was a window behind Silco, a bright green that showed the lights from the outside. It wasn't too bright right now, but she knew during the day it would have helped light up the room. Her attention snapped back to Silco when she heard his chair creaking as he sat up. He picked up a sheet of paper off his desk and held it for her to take. She tried to keep her hands from shaking as she slowly took the paper from him. "What… is this for?" She asked nervously.

He huffed in annoyance at her ignorance. "Did you see the neon lights when you came in?" He asked. She nodded. "That is the eye of Zaun. I want you to make some metal pins of that symbol." Silco was going to give these pins to his most trusted people.

"Um… I have a few questions if that's alright, Mr. Silco." Sapphire was more at ease now, knowing it was a job she could do, but he hadn't given her much to go on.

"Silco is fine." He took another puff of his cigar, leaning back in his chair again as he watched her. "What questions?" He didn't even know what kind of questions she would ask, he just needed some pins made, how hard could it be to make some damn pins.

"...Um, Well first, what kind of metal did you want the pins made with?" He blinked, realizing he'd forgotten about details like that. She had every right to ask these questions. "And, what color do you want the pins to be? I've seen the symbol as green or purple, so I'm just not sure-" She continued her question only for him to cut her off.

"Gold for the color." He sat up in the chair again, standing up from his desk and walking around to her side of the desk. He leaned back against it as he looked down at her. "I'm not very familiar with the types of metals used in jewelry making. With your expertise, what kind of metals would you suggest for a job like this?"

Sapphire hummed in thought, tilting her head a bit as she was thinking. "Well, A zinc alloy or iron is the most common for a pin. However, aluminum, brass, copper, and stainless steel have also been used in pin making before. The real question is how many would you like, what size and how much are you willing to spend?" Sapphire had gone full business now, seeming to not be so afraid of him anymore. Considering, she did just ask the Eye of Zaun how much money he was going to put on it. He blinked again, before chuckling softly. Rarely were people so straightforward with him. This was a nice change of pace.

"Hmm, I want the pins to be of good quality and sturdy. It would be annoying if the pins were easily damaged." Silco blew another puff of smoke out into the air, "How long will it take to make six of them? I will need more in the future but let's just start with six." He grabbed a pen off his desk, pulling the sheet from her hand and making a rough size sketch on the sheet before handing it back. "That size should do." He walked back around to the back of his desk, pulling out another bag of coins. This time he handed it to her instead of just shoving it into her hands. "That should be more than enough."

She stared alarmed at the large bag of coins in her hand for the second time today, before shaking her head to focus. "Okay, so old for the color, size is covered. For quality I think a mix of Iron and a Zinc alloy would be good. And six of them." She nodded, totaling it all up in her head. "I will need to pick up the raw materials tomorrow, but I can have them done in a week. Four days at the earliest." She replied.

He nodded and held out a hand for her to shake. "Then I believe we have a deal, Miss Sapphire." She took his hand carefully and they shook. "Bring them by The Last Drop when you're done. There's another free pass in that bag." He walked to the door of his office and opened it. "I look forward to seeing the finished products." He added as she stood up and walked out of his office. "Be sure to not disappoint me." And there it was, that was a warning. The door shut behind her, leaving her in the hallway alone. She felt a pit form in her stomach as she headed downstairs, and out of The Last Drop. The line to get in hadn't gotten any smaller, in fact it had only gotten longer.

The walk back to the Promenade had done little to clear her mind. She barely even noticed the pain in her feet as she walked, still remembering the look in his eyes when she'd left. That man could make her disappear and no one would notice if she pissed him off. She wanted to get the pins done as soon as possible just to limit the amount of time she had to see him. She would have to close her stall for a few days to have the time to work on them. "Four days, I can do this. It's just pin making, nothing I haven't done before." She mumbled to herself as she opened the door to her tiny apartment. Part of Sapphire wished she had refused the project, getting caught up with Silco the Industrialist was not good for her reputation. Actually, being involved with him wasn't a good thing at all. "Just don't fuck up and I won't die. Hopefully."

Sapphire blinked slowly as a small amount of light peeked into the room. She groaned and tried to roll over, pulling her thin pillow over her head. Her back ached as she rolled, the old mattress doing little to support her body. She sat up slowly, feeling her body creak and pop as she did so. "At the age of 20, I shouldn't be popping and clicking like an 80 year old man." She grumbled to herself as she moved to stand. She headed into the small bathroom of her apartment and began to get ready, making a list in her head of what things she'd need to grab in Piltover today.

She looked into the mirror as she brushed the knots out of her hair. Her hair was a dark almost midnight blue, but it would shine in the sunlight. She hated this hair color, she hated her eyes too. The teal iris' just staring her right back in the mirror. This was the only connection she had with the ones who brought her into this world. She sighed and shook her head, moving to get dressed. She could reflect on the past later when the Eye of Zaun wasn't breathing down her neck.

She paused as she stepped out of the bathroom, a glance at her jewelry box drawing her back. She pulled a golden ring with a garnet gemstone embedded into it. The inscription on the inside of the ring was her name and her date of birth. Her mother had gotten this ring right after she was born. Sapphire hated sentimental items, but she had never been able to throw it out after her mother's death. "Damn it…" She slid the ring onto her right ring finger. The size 6 ring fit her perfectly. She took a deep breath and grabbed her money, as well as the bag that Silco had given her. "I've survived this long on my own, I won't fall to something like this." She decided as she walked out of her apartment. She headed towards the bridge on her way to Piltover.
