Chapter 1: Two Sisters! A Humble Start!
"Finally!" Yumi shouted, lying down on her back, her long blue hair spreading out in her bed. She held up her newly finished deck. "It's almost midnight now, but I'm sure it'll be worth it. With this, I'm sure I can beat her tomorrow."
As she was admiring her deck, she heard someone speak. "Finally worked out a strategy to beat me?" the voice said.
Yumi sat up straight, hiding her deck behind her. "Of course not! I know I could never beat you, sis!" She was smiling slightly as she said those words.
The girl smiled and walked up to her, ruffling her hair. "Of course not," she said. "You better go to sleep. You can't duel me if you're half-awake."
"Okay," she said as she hid her deck in her box. "Good night, sis."
She kissed her in her forehead. "Good night, Yumi."
"So, are you ready to duel me?"
"Of course, sis! And this will be the time I finally beat you!"
"Maybe, but probably not!"
The two sisters held out their respective duel disks, their eyes both burning with passion and desire.
'DUEL'
Yumi: 4000
Yuri: 4000
Turn 1: Yuri
"I'll take the first turn, then!" Placing her hand on top of her deck, she drew a card. "Well, I think I'll start small for this turn, Yumi! I'll start off by summoning Exorsister Stella!"
For a moment, her duel disk glowed a bright light. Once it dispersed, the only thing that remained is a young, red-haired girl wearing a red gown while elegantly carrying what seems to be a pretty heavy wooden box in one hand and a couple big lunch boxes in another.
Exorsister Stella [Level 4/LIGHT/Warrior/300 ATK/800 DEF]
"Next up, since I control an 'Exorsister' monster, I can special summon Exorsister Elise from my hand!"
After the bright light, another young woman appeared. This time is a blonde free-spirit wearing a long coat and a warm smile.
Exorsister Elise [Level 4/LIGHT/Warrior/500 ATK/800 DEF]
"Since I special summoned Elise while I control Stella, I gain 800 LP."
Yuri: 4800
"Hey, no fair! You said you were starting small!" Yumi protested.
Yuri smiled. "But I am starting small…"
"No way! You already have enough monsters to XYZ summon!"
"Isn't that how you usually start your turns, too?"
"Yeah! But I won't call it starting small!"
Yuri just laughed quietly. "Fine, then. For this turn, I won't be performing an XYZ summon. Instead, I set one card and end my turn!"
"Okay!" Yumi exclaimed. "My turn, draw!"
Turn 2: Yumi
"Yes! I got it!" She placed the card she just drew into her duel disk. "I activate this card! Light Ruler's Command!"
A large image of the card appeared in front of her, depicting a man in white and red clothes, after which Yuri's monsters where covered in a faint glow.
"Thanks to this card, all light monsters you currently control can't activate their effects! Now you can't use Elise and Stella's effects to XYZ summon on my turn either! So, sis, am I a genius or am I a genius?"
"You know you haven't won yet, Yumi."
"Yeah, yeah. That's why I activate Charge of the Light Brigade! Now, by sending the top 3 cards of my deck to the graveyard, I can add 1 'Lightsworn' monster from my deck to my hand, like Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner, who I summon to my field!"
A bright light flashed on her side of the field, before subsiding to reveal a dark-skinned blond in white and gold clothes.
Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner [Level 3/LIGHT/Spellcaster/1000 ATK/1000 DEF]
"Then, by discarding one card from my hand to the graveyard, I can activate Lumina's effect! I special summon Raiden, Hand of the Lightsworn from my graveyard!"
After another flash of light, a young warrior appeared before her, sword in hand and a blue scarf in neck along with a body chiseled from stone.
Raiden, Hand of the Lightsworn [Level 4/LIGHT/Warrior/1700 ATK/1000 DEF/Tuner]
"Battle! Raiden, attack Stella!"
The warrior immediately leapt into action, swinging his sword overhead as he aimed for the young red-head.
"You never learn, do you sis?" Yuri said smugly.
"What do you mean?"
"I activate Exorsister Amento!"
Suddenly, her set card flipped face up, revealing a quick-play spell card depicting Elise in the middle of casting some sort of spell.
"No way!"
"Yes way! Thanks to this card, I can pay 800 life points to XYZ summon using an 'Exorsister' monster from my field as XYZ material! I use Elise to build an overlay network!"
Yuri: 4000
Suddenly, the young blonde was covered in a stream of mana, causing her body to glow.
"O' holy mother, I pray unto thee to grant me the power of thy sword to vanquish the evil that walks in the face of the Earth! XYZ SUMMON!"
The magic surrounding Elise expanded greatly, consuming the entire field. Once it subsided, Elise can be seen standing there. However, she has greatly changed her appearance. Gone was the long coat and was instead replaced with a shining armor and white cape. Her hair glows a fiery gold, and in her hand is a great sword of mana.
"Appear, Exorsister Mikhaelise!"
Exorsister Mikhaelise [Rank 4/LIGHT/Warrior/2500 ATK/1800 DEF/XYZ]
"That doesn't change thing! I still attack Stella using Raiden!"
"Then I use Mikhaelise's effect to banish Raiden! Divine Exorcism!"
Mikhaelise waved her sword, opening a rift in dimensions which swallowed Raiden.
"NO!"
"Are you done yet?"
"ALSO NO! Lumina attacks Stella!"
The dark-skinned girl's hands showed a faint glow before blasting Stella with a ball of light.
"Sadly for me, I have to take that attack."
Yuri: 3300
"YES! I set one card and end my turn! I have to send three cards to the graveyard, though."
Turn 3: Yuri
"Good for you, sis!" She drew a card from her deck. "It's my turn now, though, and I draw! From my hand I activate Exorsister Pax! This card allows me to add 1 'Exorsister' card from my deck to my hand, like Exorsister Sophia, for example! Sadly, I have to pay 800 Life Points to use it."
Yuri: 2500
"Now your just cheating!"
"You know I'm not! I summon Exorsister Sophia in attack position!"
The light left a timid girl in blue uniform, holding a flashlight in her hand.
Exorsister Sophia [Level 4/LIGHT/Warrior/100 ATK/800 DEF]
"Then I activate her effect, allowing me to draw one card!" She drew another card from her deck.
"That's it for my main phase, then! Mikhaelise attacks Lumina!"
"No you don't! I activate Lightsworn Barrier! By sending two cards from my deck to the Graveyard, I can negate an attack!"
"So Lumina survives another turn, eh? It doesn't matter. I set one card and end my turn."
"Good. My turn, then, draw!"
Turn 4: Yumi
"It's finally here! I activate Lumina's effect to discard one card and special summon Garoth, Lightsworn Warrior from my graveyard!"
Much like Raiden, Garoth is a warrior covered in armor - this time white - and carries a halberd made out of light.
Garoth, Lightsworn Warrior [Level 4/LIGHT/Warrior/1850 ATK/1300 DEF]
"He still can't beat Mikhaelise!"
"That's because I'm not done yet, sis! I tribute Lumina to summon a monster!" On cue, Lumina glowed a bright light, which suddenly pillared into the sky.
"Holy angel of the Realm of Light, descend unto this Earth and grace us with your presence! TRIBUTE SUMMON!"
The pillar of light soon dissipated, revealing an armored angel descending from heaven carrying a scepter in her hand.
"Appear Celestia, Lightsworn Angel!"
Celestia, Lightsworn Angel [Level 5/LIGHT/Fairy/2300 ATK/200 DEF]
"So you got your ace out, so what?"
"For one, I can activate her effect! By sending four cards from my deck to the graveyard, I can destroy two cards you control! With this, I destroy Mikhaelise and Sophia! Divine Afterglow!"
"Fine by me."
"It's not 'fine', sis, because now you're wide open! Garoth, Celestia, attack her directly!"
The two moved at the same time. Garoth swung his halberd above his head, aimed directly at Yuri, while Celestia charged up a beam from her scepter. Both attacks hit at the same time, causing a great dust storm directly where Yuri stands.
Yuri: 100
"Wha- You cheated! You should be dead!"
"Isn't that mean, sis? Besides, I did activate this card before your attacks reached me."
"Second Last Chance? What's that?"
"Basically, what this card does is that, when an opponent declares a direct attack on me such that it will reduce my life to zero, it can discard itself and make my life 100 to end my opponent's turn. Sadly, if I don't win the duel that turn, I automatically lose."
"Sad for you then! You basically surrendered! There's no way you're gonna beat Celestia in one turn! It's impossible!"
Yuri smiled briefly. "Is that so?" she said. "Let's see, then. My turn, draw!"
Turn 5: Yuri
"From my hand, I activate Monster Reborn! Grace us once more, Exorsister Mikhaelise!"
"No way! You got Mikhaelise back this easily!?"
"Hey, you've been summoning from the graveyard since the start of the duel yourself!"
"Ehehehe…"
"Anyways, from my hand, I activate Re-XYZ! This card lets me tribute an XYZ monster to special summon another XYZ monster from my Extra Deck with a similar Rank, then attaches itself as an XYZ material!"
"SAY WHAT!?"
"Heh. I tribute Exorsister Mikhaelise to build an overlay network using Re-XYZ's effect!"
Mikhaelise slowly faded as an overlay network was created by Re-XYZ.
"O' Holy Mother, grant unto me the power of thy spear to fight the vile demons that walk this Earth! XYZ SUMMON!"
The overlay network exploded into a bunch of colors, resulting in a bright flash of light.
"Appear, Exorsister Caspitelle!"
The monster that appeared was reminiscent of Stella, though she wore pure white clothes reminiscent of that of Mikhaelise. Her hair was of a lighter shade than it was before, and in her hand is a spear made of light.
Exorsister Caspitelle [Rank 4/LIGHT/Warrior/2300 ATK/800 DEF/XYZ]
"You just summoned a monster weaker than Mikhaelise! What are you planning to do with her?"
"Don't underestimate her, sis. You should know better than that."
"Of course I do know that! But how are you planning to win in this turn just using her?"
"For one, I can activate her effect to detach an overlay unit and add an Exorsister monster from my deck to my hand! With this, I add Exorsister Elaine to my hand, who I shall normal summon!"
A white-haired girl appeared in her field, wearing clothes similar to Stella but blue in color. In her hand is an absurdly large box that is as heavy as it looks.
Exorsister Elaine [Level 4/LIGHT/Warrior/400 ATK/800 DEF]
"Now, I activate March into Battle from my hand!"
A card appeared in front of her, depicting various soldiers in armor marching forward.
"With this card, all Warrior-type monsters I control double their attacks, but are destroyed at the end of the turn!"
Exorsister Caspitelle [2300 ATK-4600 ATK]
Exorsister Elaine [400 ATK-800 ATK]
"HAHAHAHA! It still wouldn't be enough to finish this duel this turn!"
"True. Anyways, I declare an attack against Celestia with Caspitelle!"
Caspitelle lunged forward, aiming at the angel.
"Jokes on you as I can just activate Lightsworn Barrier to negate your attack!"
Caspitelle continued her attack, overpowering and destroying Celestia. The impact was enough to send Yumi flying backwards.
Yumi: 1700
"Huh? Why didn't it stop?"
"Did I not tell you? The turn March into Battle is activated, my opponent cannot activate Spells or Traps!"
"WHAT!?"
"I'm not done yet, though! Elaine also declares an attack on Garoth!"
"But that's suicide!"
"That's why I activate this! Quick-Play Spell Reversal! I can only activate this card when my monster battles against a monster with higher ATK! By targeting my monster, I can negate the battle and inflict damage to my opponent equal to the attack of the monster it's battling! Battle Reversal!"
"NO WAY!" Yumi screamed at the top of her lungs as she was blown away by the damage Reversal dealt to her.
Yumi: 0
Winner: Yuri
As the monsters disappeared, Yuri walked towards her sister, extending a hand to help her up. "That was a great duel, sis!"
"I still can't beat you, though. And I spent all night making that deck!"
"It's still rough around the edges, but I can see potential in it. Anyways, we should get back. I still have to teach you other things besides dueling."
"So they're your children, eh?" a man said, watching their duel from a distance.
