Author's Note:
So we're skipping a car ride and Bella being at the Cullens house because I am lazy. So here we go!
ThirdPOV
Bella parked her mustang next to Emmett's Jeep. Lee walked from the other side talking off her helmet that Bella still thought was kinda cute with the ears and proceeded to follow the congregation of vampires into the beautiful home.
All the vampires went to their mates and sat down next to them and Bella sat on the couch next to Rosalie and Lee. Next to Lee was Tanya, and on the arm was Kate, standing was Irina with Kate's arm around her waist.
Carlisle spoke up, "I suppose introductions are in order. I'm Carlisle, head of this family, and I'm a doctor at the hospital."
"Yes, my father talks about you." Bella smiled at him shaking his hand.
"I'm Esme his wife. I'm an interior designer and home builder."
Bella shook her hand and complimented the house.
"Thank you, this is one of my favorite homes."
Alice happily chirped, "It's nice to officially meet you, my name is Alice. I just know we are gonna be the best of friends."
Jasper tipped his head to Bella from beside Alice, "Pleasure to meet you, I'm Jasper."
Emmett's booming voice made Bella turn her head his way to see his grin, "I'm Emmett the awesome one."
Lee rolled her eyes, "Sure, sure, you already met Edward, Rosalie , Kate, Tanya, Irina, and myself."
The mentioned people all said hello and waved.
Carmen was next to introduce herself, "Well, you haven't met me yet. I'm Carmen Denali and it's nice to meet you."
Eleazar was grinning, "You are most interesting indeed. My name is Eleazar and I have the ability to sense the abilities of others. I can sense that you have one and it is-"
Bella smiled and interrupted him, "A mental shield."
"Ah, so you already know then. May I inquire how you found out?" Eleazar asked.
Isabella cleared her throat and picked at a non-existent loose thread at her jean, "That'll be explained in a moment. First I have a request on my behalf, well, technically its more of an order really from The Kings and Queens. They also send their regards by the way."
A feather could have dropped in that moment and it would have been the equivalent to an avalanche, a volcano, and a tsunami all happening at once. Everybody started bombarding Bella at once with questions and she sat calmly with her hands clasped on her lap.
"QUIET DOWN!"
Rosalie hadn't yelled too loud but everyone looked at each other sheepish and Bella looked at her grateful. Lee gave her a thumbs up being the only other one that didn't bombard Bella with questions.
"Right, so before anyone asks. When I was living in Phoenix, Arizona with my mother Renee, I was fifteen years old and out in the back yard late at night one night, waiting up for my mother since my mom worked late. I suddenly felt as if I was being watched and I tried to nonchalantly look around. There is a section of the fence where the light doesn't reach and its all dark and you can't see anything. I was squinting really hard and I though I saw the outline of a person but I wasn't sure. Before I could get a flashlight and find out my mother arrived home and called my name so I ran inside. The feeling of being watched vanished."
Bella slides her fingers through her hair and sighs.
"Fast forwards a week and I'm at the store and I'm trying to get some more batteries for my flashlights, since apparently I didn't have any extra. I and my clumsy self manage to almost knock about half the shelf off, I swear the shelf broke on its own, almost onto this really good looking dude that has dread locks. He helps me pick up all the fallen packet of batteries and we put them on another shelf. I go to thank him and I meet his blood red eyes. At first I thought they were really good contacts but they looked way to natural to be contacts. He introduced himself as Laurent and he has this French accent. I told him my name and thanked him and went on with my purchase. Anyways that's when my troubles began. At first it was just Laurent, but the there was this other male with blonde hair and red eyes, his name is James. He really gave me the creeps when I first met him. He was just a couple blocks from my house leaning against a car one evening. James had this evil smirk on his face. Laurent was in the passenger seat and there was a woman with red hair in the back seat she gave me a sympathetic look."
Lee could feel a bit of stress that the Volturi and James were already involved from the get go. If the Volturi knew Isabella knew about vampires then why is she alive? What did it mean? Why did they send her here to them? Why was James already involved? How were they going to deal with Victoria once James was out of the way?
"It didn't matter where I went James was always there. Sometimes he had blood on him or a dead body with him. I thought I was going crazy, I tried to tell my mom one day especially when he was right outside our sliding glass doors but when she went to look he wasn't there. My mother didn't believe me and I felt like I really had gone crazy until one day my mother actually picked me up from school because I hadn't been getting enough sleep and ended up getting sick. Outside of my school was James and Laurent and they waved to us and my mother waved back to them in confusion. I knew I wasn't crazy then, they were crazy psycho stalkers and they knew where I lived, where I went to school, and they just waved to my mom. I spent that night up with a baseball bat and that red head Victoria decided to take pity on me and introduce herself and put a stop to their games. She gave me an out by giving me a letter that she said explained everything to a friend of hers called Heidi in Italy. She gave me a second letter that contained an offer to study abroad in Italy for two years that I could show my mother."
"Well I'll be damned," said Emmett.
To cut a Long story short Heidi explained what was going on to the Kings and the Queens and their intention was to not let me know about vampires, but my gift made me an exception when I met Aro. I was introduced to the supernatural world that day, to the guards and their very impressive library. The Volturi Castle has been my sanctuary and home the last two years and they mentioned you guys and your vegetarian lifestyle. Since, I know about vampires my fate is sealed; not that I would have it any other way mind you. They sent me here in part to learn the vegetarian lifestyle before hand and to well 'seek' safety here from my James problem."
Lee just sat there stunned for a second, the Volturi just let Bella walk away. Lee was so confused and she wanted to question the hell out of Bella but she knows it would be weird so she stayed quiet.
"Okay so that answers the how you know. So, do you have to be turned by a certain time?" Tanya asked finally calming down looking at Bella with interest now.
"I asked if it could wait until I at least graduated, but if I was on death row and I couldn't be saved, know right now I'd rather be turned." Bella said looking at all of them with steel in her eyes.
Lee put a hand on her shoulder, "I'm guessing this is another one of those conversations that you might of had one too many times, that may or may not of had turned out interesting a few too many times?"
Bella gave her a look and nodded her head.
Lee looked at Carlisle, "Dad?"
Carlisle sat forward with his elbows on his knees and his chin resting in his clasped hands. He looked around the room and thought. He was held in high regard with the Volturi and he could refuse if he wanted to, but the way she mentioned the word ordered. The Volturi rarely if ever ordered anything of his family so there is something else going on. Isabella was an unfortunate human that had a run in with the worst kind of vampires and he didn't want to refuse her when he knows his family could help. On the other hand he was risking his family's safety. Lee his youngest already has formed a friendship with her, Alice foresees them becoming best friends and even his generally stoic daughter found her mate in her and seems quite attached. However, Edward also found his singer in young Isabella but thanks to Lee he was able to withstand being in the same room as her for over an hour. Edward was able to fight his instincts and walk away from the most impossibly delicious smelling blood he will cross in his vampire existence.
He closed his eyes, "My family and I will help you. I can not say anything for the Denali as Tanya is their leader."
"Yes, you will have help from the Denali Coven as well." Tanya said shifting to sit back against the couch more relaxed now.
Bella let out a relieved sigh, "Cool beans, that went a lot more smooth than I thought it would to be honest. Thanks everyone. Now, its my turn. Lee isn't a vampire, but she has golden eyes like you guys."
Bella left the sentence hanging looking at Lee with an inquisitive look. Lee rubbed the back of her neck and looked around at everyone might as well as give them a bastardized version of it.
"Well, it's complicated, but the bastardized version of it is is that I'm displaced from the year 2013. I was born a human in the regular world where there was no supernatural or the knowledge of the supernatural was super duper secret like this world. Yes, I said like this world because in 2013, when I was 16 and driving my car to work I crashed and ended up in a whole other world. A world of magic, elves, dwarves, dragons, supernaturals, mutants, gods, demons, angels, undead... fuck, man...you name it and it was there. A human from a world where there was nothing like that wasn't going to survive in a world so harsh like that and luckily for me I happened to land at the feet of my mentor who was a Hunter. Hunters are an order that keeps the peace between the natural and supernatural worlds. To join means to forsake your past. There is a ritual initiates must undergo; basically it involves magic, and drinking the blood of an ancient dragon. Unfortunately for me when I was to undergo my ritual I was sent on a mission with my mentor to to take out a Blood Ritualist coven of vampires that had ravaged 4 villages already. I was bitten by two of these vampires trying to save a little boy from being bitten and torn apart himself just like his mother a couple moments before him. My mentor and I managed to eradicate the vampires and save what was left of the village, but I was now fighting with time before I was to turn into a vampire. My mentor had used a magical item to teleport us to a safe house just a day away from the Hunters Castle. Daylight already started to affect me and my mentor used a mountain horse to get us back. I remembered she carried me into the ritual room and poured the blood down my throat and then I just felt the intense pain of my nerves being fried. It felt like nothing I have ever endured before and at the time it felt endless. I awoke several hours later partially transformed. I was officially a Hunter and had no fear of being turned into a vampire. Usually the ritual does not turn someone into a dragon, but there was a prophecy somewhere and I happened to hit all the quotas. I used to have light brown eyes, but now they are golden."
Lee leaned back putting one arm on the back of the couch and brought the other hand to run through her hair.
"Blah blah blah, I do my duty...some 430 years pass I save that world from some terrible evil. My mentor for helping save the world was given the power over the Voids and with the use of some Ancient Relics tried to send me back to my Earth. As a result about a year ago, I crashed through the Cullens table and here we are today! So, that's my story, I'm a time traveller and an other-worlder! Or does this just make me an alien?"
Emmett ever the goofball chimed in, "Space Dragon?"
Lee threw her head back and laughed, "The Dimension Hopping Space Dragon. Sounds like the name of what could either be a really cool comic series or a really terrible cartoon."
The others all chuckled and any tension that was left was eased as Emmett, Lee, Kate and even Bella said some whacky ideas for some of the episodes.

I let a small smirk grace my face even as I rolled my eyes at some of the ridiculous things those four were making up. Esme and Carmen had gotten up to go to the kitchen mentioning something about making seafood scampi for dinner. Eleazar, Tanya, and Carlisle went up to his study no doubt to come up with some kind of watch schedule for Bella. Irina was giving Lee a contemplative look, and that ticked me off a little bit still.
'I finally found my mate in Isabella, but just earlier I didn't even know she was my mate and I was jealous that those three were already mated to each other and had yet another mate and kept Lee at a distance. Granted I now knew it was because I was a potential mate and it was because she told them, but that is still no reason to keep your mate at a distance. All of us can see the changes in Lee even if she doesn't show the emotions much or lets Jasper feels them.'
I sighed and grimaced.
'I'm not doing her any favors right now either, but I can't help it. I have a mate and it's Isabella. I know I shouldn't feel mad at her for being a potential mate when i just found my mate, but I just can't deal with her feelings right now and this potential threat to my mate. Sorry, Lee.'
Irina eventually noticed me looking and I turned my gaze away. My eyes then caught Edward and her gave me a raised eyebrow. I just rolled my eyes at him, 'Stay out of my head!'
Edward held his hands up in a placating manner and I just scoffed.
Eventually, hurricane Alice had to make her presence known. She hopped up from besides Jasper and sat on Lee's lap. Lee poked her shoulder and Alice swatted her hand away.
"So, Bella, my new bestie. Want to go shopping in Seattle this weekend?"
Bella's face twitched into a smile, "Bestie huh? I'm not generally a fan of shopping, but I guess if we are going to be besties I'll suffer in not so silence as long as Lee and Rosalie come along."
"Hardy har Bella. I guess they can come along." Alice grumbled pouting.
Lee grabbed Alice's sides and stunned me. She actually started tickling Alice and Alice's wind chime like laughter filled the air.
"Oh ho, so not only is Bella now your bestie but now us plebeians aren't good enough to come along Queen Alice? I think retribution is in order!"
"St-stop!" Alice gasped between laughter.
Lee eventually let up and Alice jumped off her lap straightening out her clothes. She walked back over to Jasper with as much dignity as she could muster and sat back down.
Lee had a grin on her face and it got wider when Esme said dinner was ready.
"Come on, Bella, you've gotta try Carmen and Esme's Seafood Scampi. It really hits the spot."
I followed Bella and Lee into the kitchen and the both sat on one of the stools at the counter where a plate of the seafood scampi sat.
It didn't smell appealing to me at all but they both ate it and seemed to like it.
Bella had a shrimp stabbed in her fork but placed her fork down and spoke, "You said to join the Hunters means to forsake your past, but I don't understand you were also sent back to Earth. Is that not a contradiction?"
Lee chocked on her food and had to drink some water to clear her throat. Lee placed her fork down and looked at Bella giving her a sad smile.
"I did only give you the bastardized version of the story after all. So, when I crashed my car at the same time my mentor in her world happened to be summoning a familiar which she has never done before. By some fucked up mumbo jumbo shit instead of me becoming splat against limestone I was summoned. Humans are never summoned, until I was apparently. Familiars are generally magical beasts, golems, satyrs, demons, angels, etc... you get the idea. They generally command magic, have some combat prowess, even a unique ability. Anyhow, I was an exception since I was a human and had none of this. Well, I did know martial arts and I did know how to use a bow and arrows but against magical creatures and the supernatural. I might as well as have been blowing them kisses. The Apex Hunter, which is the highest Hunter and the one in charge of all the hunters, suggested I become a Hunter as there was no solution at the time for me to go home. "
Lee picked up her fork and started eating again. Bella thought about what she said and continued to eat her food.
"Have you checked to see if you are yet?" Bella asked.
Lee hummed and pushed her plate away turning to look at Bella.
"Honestly, I'm scared to find out the answer. Like, what if this isn't my earth. What if I don't exist here? I know where I lived this year. I'm just dragging my feet."
"I can't say I understand, but it's definitely okay to feel scared. I certainly didn't think dimension hopping would be a thing. I don't think you should get caught up in the what if's though and trust me I procrastinate a lot." Bella gave Lee an encouraging smile.
Lee gave her a smile back and patted her shoulder, "You're not too bad a listener Swan."
Bella snorted, "You just had to ruin a moment."
I chuckled, "You'll get used to it. Sometimes I still want to choke her though."
"Rude, I'm absolutely lovable all the time. Don't listen to this slander."
Carmen chimed in, "Sure, how about that time when you decided to bring in the cub-"
Lee jumped up from her chair and had a hand over Carmen's mouth in an instance.
Lee was whisper yelling, "You promised we wouldn't ever speak about that!"
Carmen rolled her eyes and tapped Lee's hand that was over her mouth. Lee looked at her skeptically but removed her hand.
"I won't mention it, but you have to admit you can be a bit a pain in the ass sometimes sweetie."
Lee pouted, "Fine, fine, I can be a bit of a lovable pain in the ass."
Esme smiled and pinched Lee's cheek, "Yes, lovable indeed."
Lee rolled her eyes, "Now, you guys are just picking on me."
I mocked gasp, "Us? No!"
Lee walked out of the kitchen giving me the finger and I just chuckled the entire time with the others laughing.
Bella eventually finished her food and thanked Carmen and Esme. She left us shortly thereafter and then Eleazar, Tanya, and Carlisle came down from the study.
Tanya sat down against Kate leaving a space between Lee and her. Eleazar gave Carmen a look and she shook her head with pressed lips. Lee bounced up and hugged Carlisle.
"So dad, what's the verdict? How are we gonna do this?" Lee took a seat between Carlisle and Esme holding both their hands and leaned her head on Esme shoulder for comfort.
A look passed between Carlisle and Esme and then Carlisle cleared his throat. He understood that his newest daughter needed comfort from his mate with the distance her mates have been giving her.
"We discussed some ideas and we think for most of the time Isabella will be safe during the week and day at school with all of you around. The only real danger is when she is at home or anywhere else. I think a guard detail could be a bit intrusive if not played right in the light of Forks eyes."
Lee spoke, "Not to worry on that front dad. People already noticed Bella and I already getting along it won't be that hard to rope in Alice or maybe even Rosalie into the mix."
Carlisle hummed, "Good. Then we'll just need to set up a rotation watch for Bella. We have tried to pair up one person with a combat usable ability with and adept fighter. Jasper and Eleazar will take tonight's watch. You both are very adept fighters so your pair is just a bit stacked compared to the rest. Tomorrow will be Edward and myself as I don't actually have a shift at the hospital tomorrow. Edward and myself compliment's each other's fighting style very well. Kate and Carmen will be a pair for the next day. Tanya mentioned your teamwork is formidable. Emmett and Esme you both will pair up for the night after."
Emmett whooped and yelled, "WOOOOOO! Mama bear and baby bear ready to kick ass!"
He started to mock punch the air as if he was fighting somebody and everybody chuckled.
"Yes, you two are quite the ferocious duo when push comes to shove. We weren't quite sure on these last two pair ups, but after debating Tanya and I figured the best match up was to pair up Alice and Tanya. Alice will have her foresight and she is nimble, Tanya is quick and precise so a quick kill duo seemed the best route. Rosalie is an adept fighter and Irina is also and adept fighter. Your pair is at a disadvantage when it comes to a combat ability, but I don't have a doubt you can hold your own until back up arrives if needed."
Lee raised her head when she realized her head when she realized her name wasn't mentioned, "Wait, what about me?"
Carlisle shook his head, "You are already helping out the shifters on the weekends. You still need to rest where as the rest of us don't sleep. Save your strength in case something happens. This goes without saying, but proceed with caution. We don't know if these vampires have any abilities, and we don't know their strength and weaknesses. So far, we know there is three, but one helped Bella. Maybe she can be persuaded to resolve this peacefully."
Lee spoke up, "You need to let the shifters know of this possible threat."
"Between two coven of vampires we should be able to handle this just fine." Edward said looking at Lee questioningly.
Lee just shook her head at him and sighed, " It is a matter of principle. While they live on the reservation this is still their home too. They need to be made aware of any possible threats. It is a a curtesy one affords friends, allies, and neighbors. What if we were in their position? Would you not want to know about a possible threat and be ready? The shifters have yet to fight against actual vampires. If they were to fight against a vampire now... while they may be able to hold out a good while say one on one, ultimately they would die. They can throw proper punches and kicks fine, but I've only just barely started them on proper grappling moves and chokeholds in human form. In wolf form they just have their claws, teeth and instincts to work with."
Jasper chimed in, "Our sister makes a very good point. I would rather know before hand and prepare."
Carlisle looked at Lee with a fond smile, "Yes, inform Sam of the nomads. Lee, it seems like you plan to have them eventually fight against vampires."
Lee's eyes turned hard as steel, "You know their story, I will give them their best fighting chance if something like that was to ever happen again, Gods Forbid. I have suffered at the hands of the cruelest of vampires so I can empathize with them. I am not blind, I can see the difference between them and you, my family. There was a time where my anger burned probably as hot as the Quileute's from the past and I refused to see the difference. My mentor thoroughly beat that lesson into me. There is good and bad in every species, hell, everything for that matter. I will do what is fair, always."
I gritted my teeth in anger. I could understand her wanting to play nice with the Shifters and dedicate her time to them. However, I was drawing a line if she thought she was going to use the family as live practice for them.
"You have got to be out of your god damned mind!" I stood up growling at her.
Lee stood up with her hands held out to the side, "No, I'm really not."
I snapped and lunged at her.
Author's After Note:
Sigils out shield "Don't throw anything at me!" Welp, yes sorry, but not really sorry I left you at a cliff hanger. I swear this chapter has escaped me too. I planned one thing and then it took a different turn than I wanted. Next chapter I'm totally winging it and going with my creative flow. Hopefully I'll be able to tie it back in or maybe the chapter after should get it back on track...who knows. This is what happens when I don't sleep and then write LOL. Hopefully y'all like it and don't hate it ;P
