Mhmmm, sOoOoO I decided to march right on. Here is chapter 9.

ThirdPOV

Rosalie was stopped mid air and just inches away was Lee's outstretched hand with a sigil just floating millimeters from her palm.

"I think we should take this outside," Lee said.

The others watched as another sigil appeared and then Lee and Rosalie were gone from the living room. They heard the unmistakable sound of a tree crashing and they all blurred to the back yard where the sounds came from. They saw Rosalie climbing out of a snapped in half tree with pitch black eyes. Lee was giving her an assessing look.

"I didn't think you would be against people learning to defend themselves sister." Lee called out to Rosalie rolling her neck and getting a few cracks.

Rosalie growled, "I am when you are thinking about using the family as practice dummies!"

"Rosalie!" Esme yelled in discontent.

Rosalie leapt and swiped a flurry of vicious swipes at Lee. Tanya was going to step in, but Alice grabbed her arm and told her don't. Lee dodged and back peddled sigiling out her regular clothes for armor on the last swipe. The vampires eyes couldn't see it but Lee saw just the very tip of Rosalie's nail brush against her side.

Lee tugged on Rosalie's wrist while stepping into her space. Rosalie was tripped up and had no choice but to stumble a step to get her footing. Lee took the chance to create just a little bit of distance.

Rosalie growled and leapt back at Lee. Lee rolled backward as Rosalie's weight came down but Lee got a foot on Rosalie's stomach and kicked her off mid roll.

Rosalie twisted around mid air and barely landed on one foot before she kicked off of it and kicked at Lee with her other leg.

Lee pushed off of the ground with her arms barely managing to dodge Rosalie's kick. It left a small crater in the ground.

Lee was on her feet and decided to throw a few jabs at Rosalie. Lee took two half strides in with her left foot leading in and then jabbed at Rosalie's shoulder.

Rosalie blocked with her forearm and punched with her other one. Lee moved her head to the side and stepped in with her right foot. Rosalie's arm that was outstretched was now touching Lee's cheek and Lee's arm snaked up to jab at Rosalie's face.

Rosalie stepped back from Lee to avoid getting hit in the face and scowled at her. Lee just made a humming noise and gave Rosalie an appreciative look.

Lee was impressed with Rosalie's fighting ability even while angered.

"I was going to ask if anybody would offer to spar with the Shifters. You my hot blooded sister should let the rest of them make their decisions for themselves like adults. Though I feel like you aren't acting like an adult right now?" Lee jabbed at Rosalie.

That was the wrong thing to say as Rosalie blurred and punched Lee across the Jaw. The others winced as they heard a crack and Rosalie smirked feeling satisfied but then realized what she did and immediately felt horrified. Lee was on her back looking up at the night sky and groaned. She sat up leaning one arm on a knee and spat out her fang. The others grimaced when they realized Lee lost a fang.

"Damn, son." Emmett said whistling. Edward elbowed him in the gut making him double over.

Lee ran her tongue over the spot of the missing tooth and hummed. She picked up the fang and stood up walking over to Rosalie. Rosalie winced at the look on Lee's face and looked away. When Lee was in front of Rosalie, Lee reached down and grabbed Rosalie's wrist. Rosalie didn't even try to yank her hand back. Lee placed the fang in Rosalie's hand and closed Rosalie's fingers over it.

"I'm not mad, I think I deserved that bit. It's just my baby fang, keep it. I think we severely misunderstood each other Rosalie. Seems my words as of late are failing me. Good fight."

Lee patted her on the shoulder and walked into the woods. Alice tugged on Jasper's arm and they followed after her. Everybody silently went inside and dispersed. No one wanted to mention what had happened yet and tension filled the air. Emmett and Edward left saying they were going to go hunt.

LEEPOV

Something was definitely not right with her. She went over the fight in her head.

'My movements were a lot slower, I was just barely dodging Rosalie's attacks. Then there was that punch, I should have been able to take that punch just fine. Instead I lost a fang not that I'm overtly worried about the fang much. It'll grow back in a couple of days.'

I jumped up from the forest floor and onto a higher thick tree branch. I didn't have to wait long before Alice and Jasper were on the branch too.

"Start talking. Why did you make a split second decision to take that punch?" Alice said poking Lee in the shoulder.

"I knew her anger was misplaced as soon as she shouted. She was already too into her instincts. You know how she is about protecting the family. I mean remember her reaction to me?"

Jasper and Alice chuckled remembering exactly what I meant. I rolled my eyes and made a whatever hand motion, "I must say however, I really didn't account for a few things."

Jasper drawled, "You mean how you got served a can of whoop ass?"

I puffed a small ball of fire at him and he dodged chuckling.

"Yes, as you so eloquently put. Something is going on with my body and I'm afraid I think I know what it is."

I put my face in hands and groaned.

"What's going on Lee? Should we be worried?"

"Honestly, I don't know if you should be worried. Probably? It could spell disaster for everyone if it doesn't get resolved or I'm fretting over nothing even though the symptoms line up."

Alice and Jasper looked worried now and Alice reached over squeezing my shoulder.

"Hey, hey, don't do that. Talk to us we are here for you. "

"I think the mating bond is starting to reject. I know they haven't said it but subconsciously somewhere all three of them must have started to reject it somehow."

I told them everything I told Rosalie that day in the Forest when I confessed to her, minus the part where Alice was a potential mate.

"Wait, but you haven't gone insane have you?" Alice asked me.

I scoffed, "Was I ever really sane to begin with? Don't even answer that."

I huffed and crossed my arms, "My human form is weakening, it's actually the first symptom. The next symptom is if my scales in my partial form start to come off with a touch. After those two things is the insanity."

"I knew something was up when you started cutting off your emotions, now I know why. This isn't good darling, why don't you try talking to them again?"

"I'm trying to respect their wish of distance-"

"Bullshit." Jasper interrupted me with a look.

I sighed looking down at the tree branch and started to pick at the bark with my fingernail.

"I am not used to restriction of love. While yes, I myself am uncomfortable sometimes with affection. In my other world you loved whoever you wanted, so long as the feelings were reciprocated or could be. Dragons aren't the only ones that can have multiple mates. I think being in an open loving world like that to well, this world where its not quite as common is just a shock. I don't even know if that would be the right word for it. I also don't know how to deal with jealousy...or FEELINGS."

I was blushing by the end of my little confession and Jasper chuckled at me.

"Lucky for you, I'm an Empath and FEELINGS are my specialty."

I looked up to see Jasper smiling at me and Alice bumped shoulders with him.

I gave them both a smile, "Thank you."

"Anytime," Jasper said lightly punching my shoulder.

"No problem," Alice said giving me a wink.

I stretched and gave Jasper a look, "You should probably get going back home and nab Eleazar to go watch over Bella."

He tilted his head to the side then nodded. He jumped down to the forest floor and blurred back home. I really loved Jasper he was always so understanding.

When I deemed Jasper far enough I looked sideways at Alice struggling with what I wanted to say.

"Can you actually see my future?"

Alice closed one eye and waved her hand in front of the other. "I don't ever clearly see your future. They are more like really strong implications and feelings from my third eye. Though, remember my visions are subjective to choices. You certainly don't choose instantly either. You like to weigh your choices carefully, so I get a lot of implications and feelings based off of your choices. It's different and certainly frustrating, but not nearly as frustrating as getting nothing when the Shifters are involved."

I pondered what she told me for a moment.

"Alice...I am about to share a secret with you that can not be remembered after this conversation if you choose to listen."

"Are you going to use magic to make me forget?" She asked looking at me not even worried.

I nodded my head and opened my arms to her. She moved until she was hugging me. I put our foreheads together and looked at her eyes, "Long before I saved my other world my dragon instincts took over and I disappeared for a day. I woke up in a cave in my dragon form and I was wrapped around a dragon egg that I just knew was mine. Don't ask me how I knew, it was just instinct. I left the cave and concealed it with magic so no one would ever find it. Decades passed and nothing ever came of it and I actually forgot about it for awhile. Then the day came when I saved the world. I'm not about to go into that story, but that day I died."

Alice squeezed me and I made a shhh sound, "I'm alive now. As I was saying, I died, but something weird happened. I woke up struggling to break free from my prison. It was hard and the more I kicked and punched the more it cracked and gave way. Only when it was said and done with did I realize that I had come from the very egg that I was wrapped around so long ago. It only took an instance but I appeared back where I was slain just to see the rest of my body magically disintegrate away. I don't know if I can do something like make another egg, but if the worst happens Alice I will end myself before chaos can strike this world from the dragon eater."

Alice whispered, "You have me by your side this time around. I won't let you become a martyr."

I bumped my head with hers, "Thanks Alice. That was a lot more reassuring than you know."

She gave me a sad smile because she knew what was gonna happen next. I gave her a smile back and let the magic wash over me. A sigil appeared between our foreheads and a low blue light appeared for a second and then it was gone.

Alice's eyes were unfocused and the sigil disappeared. I pulled my head back and kept the smile on my face. I felt a little sad because I felt like I was keeping a secret from Alice now; I've altered her memories and I have to live with that. It took a few seconds, but then Alice's eyes refocused.

"So, yeah, I just get really strong implications and feelings of your future. I smirked at her and she pulled away jumping off the tree branch.

"Oh, and what does my future look like now?" I yelled after her blurring form.

"Strong impressions of me being tickled if I don't make it back to the house before you get me."

I chuckled hopping off the tree branch giving chase. We made it back to the house eventually with me being the one smacking her hands away from my sides and laughing.

It seemed like the Denali were gone and it was just us Cullens left. I didn't sense Edward, Emmett or Jasper so, they must have left. Esme opened her arms up to me when I walked into the house and I immediately went over and gave her a hug.

"Hey, mum. I'm just fine no need to worry."

I pulled back a little and gave her a toothy grin with a wink. She placed a kiss on my nose that had me scrunching it.

"It's my job to worry. I see Alice was able to cheer you up."

"Yeah, Alice just does that. Ball of sunshine that one."

"I'm right here you know."

"We know."

"We know." Esme and I both gave her a smile then chuckled when she rolled her eyes.

"Maybe you should talk to Rosalie. While I don't condone fighting I can understand her reason for getting upset although she should have thought that through. Spread some of that cheer, she seems really sorry."

"Alright, let me go clean up first then I'll go talk to her."

I released Esme from my hug and made my way upstairs. Once I was in my room I went to my closet and got out my pj suit. I went to my bathroom and sigiled out of my armor leaving me naked. I turned the shower on and started to hum. I hopped in once it was scalding enough to a human and I finally let the words to the old song go.

"Tower o'er the village down below,

casting shadows of sin and death.

What lurks behind thy castle walls?

Silent screams of undead abound,

Wandering spirits set halls aglow.

The walking bones' rattling breath,

are trapped within red painted halls.

West wing wraiths wails a-sound,

then you shan't be found."

It was an old haunted warning from a cursed land. That melody has never left my head and the horrors I uncovered from there still weighed on my soul to this day. I am just happy I was able to end the sick bastard behind it all and his ashes were the ones I used for my sword.

I turned off the water and dried myself off using an extremely fluffy towel. I couldn't help but rub my face against it. It was just so damn fluffy and I sighed in content. It was the small comforts of life I missed so much. I left the bathroom and put on my pj suit, it even had a hood so I flipped it up. It was super comfy and warm . I hummed in contentment feeling so snug. I left my room and made my way down to the garage where I could hear Rosalie working on a car.

RosaliePOV

I smelled Lee enter the garage and I mentally sighed. She smelled of of fresh apricot and peaches, so she must have just finished showering. I couldn't exactly hear her footsteps as she was so light on her feet so I listened for anything and I heard when she sat in my rolling chair and scooted it until it was next to me.

"Whatchya working on?"

I smiled softly to myself because that was so typical of her, "Just checking the automatic transmission on Carlisle's car. It's his favorite and its over 229,000 miles."

Lee hummed, "It's a good thing you're a stickler on oil changes and everything. I remember when my mother wasn't and one of her cars, her transmission went kaput while we were out of state."

I rolled my eyes at that, "Did your mom not check out her car before going on a long trip?"

Lee laughed, "My mother was never really good at remembering those kinds of things. She was good at say coming up with a trip as few as those were, but like logistics of it, nope out the window. Anyways, I'm not here to talk about my bio mother Rosalie."

I shut the hood of the car and wiped my hands on the rag from my pocket. I turned to look at Lee and leaned against the hood of the car. I had to hold in a snort she was wearing a neon green and white panda onesie, with a hood that had a face with eye holes and everything.

She saw the look on my face and quirked her lips, "Sue me I'm comfy."

I laughed, "You are such a dork."

"A lovable dork though." I did snort at that.

"Heh, good to see that smile. Told you, you look more beautiful with it."

I rolled my eyes and threw my dirtied rag at her. She caught it and held onto it.

"Rosalie about earlier, you know I would never put this family in danger right?"

I crossed my arms and scowled, "No, I mean I don't think you would intentionally."

Lee sighed, "No, I'd try my damn hardest not to. Look, Rosalie all I wanted was the Shifters was to learn to defend themselves against Nomadic Vampires. It's literally the reason they even turn into shifters in the first place. I was going to ask the family if they wanted to spar with the wolves in their wolf form, so they have a better grasp of what they are up against. I know healing magic too Rosalie, so it's not like it'll be totally unsafe."

I sighed, "I just don't want anyone to get hurt. For so long I protected the family if there were any slip ups. I kept the humans at bay with my bitchy attitude. Things are so different this time and I don't know. "

Lee gave me a knowing look, "You mean you don't want to get hurt."

I scowled at her, "Annoying."

"It's what I do. Look I can't promise things will be rainbows and butterflies, but I will help you protect this family. That means I'm protecting you too Rose, whether you want it or not. So, get used to my annoying dorky ass, cuz you're stuck with it."

Lee threw the rag back at me and I huffed throwing it back at her, "God you can be insufferable."

"Still love me though?"

I rolled my eyes, "Yes, I still love you."

"Good, just remember you said so."

ThirdPOV

The next day Lee called Sam to let him know about the Nomads.

"Thanks for letting us know Lee." Sam sighed over the phone.

"What's wrong Sam?" Lee asked getting ready for school.

"I- I think I imprinted." Sam said sounding torn.

Lee hummed, right Sam imprinted on Emily who was Leah's cousin and it caused a rift between them. Lee had only met Leah in passing a few times and she was generally pleasant to be around. She had a give two fucks attitude and knew how to hold her own against the boys especially around Paul. Leah also didn't know about the Shifters yet.

"What do you intend to do?"

"Honestly, I want to tell Leah the truth, but I know I can't the council would never let me." Sam said sounding depressed.

"Don't let them control every aspect of your life Sam. I'm not saying you should go and blurt the truth out to Leah, but you are your own man. Leah deserves a clean break, don't string her along because you are too scared to let her go. You have an imprint, just imagine she has a love out there for her somewhere too."

A sniffle was her answer, "Yeah, your right. Thanks Lee."

Sam hung up, and Lee sighed. She didn't like being that blunt but sometimes, people really just needed it. Lee left her room and made her way to the garage where her siblings were already getting in Emmett's Jeep to leave.

"Sam knows about the Nomads now. How was watching over Bella?"

Lee put on her helmet and mounted her bike.

Jasper shrugged his shoulders, "Boring. Nothing out of the ordinary."

They left the house and made their way to the school. They parked in their customary spots and today the Denali were already waiting for them.

"Sup losers!" Kate said sounding chipper.

"Hello, Kate." Edward greeted her exiting the Jeep not rising to her bait.

They were all 20 minutes early to class so they hung out around their cars making small talk. They made comments on Bella's mustang as it pulled into the parking lot about 8 minutes later.

Bella got out of here car and Lee waved at her. Angela also waved at Bella and Bella waved over at Angela and made her way over to Angela.

"At least she has good taste in making friends with Weber. I like her at least." Lee said.

"Oh? Why is that?" Rosalie asked.

The others all listened in as they don't really talk to the humans around them much.

"Angela is a sweet girl, quiet, but no means a push over. She is inquisitive, but respects boundaries. She is very level headed for someone her age, she understands the need for secrets, even though she may not agree with some. I don't know if that is because she is on the school newspaper or not, but she sees a lot more than you all think. She can actually be quite witty and sarcastic, sometimes sassy given the right line of conversation. She like you Rosalie values family above all else. Mhmm, If you guys ever talked I think you'd get along, but that's just me."

"Great observation, but don't push your luck. I am not about to just be friends with every human in Forks." Rosalie scoffed.

The others tensed thinking another fight was about to break out.

Lee rolled her eyes and sighed, "Yes, yes we'll leave the squishy sandbags alone for now. I swear trying to get you to talk to humans is like pulling teeth. You wonder why you stick out like sore thumbs? Try getting down on the plebian level Beauty."

Rosalie scowled, but flipped her hair over her shoulder then crossed her arms. Alice discreetly gave Lee a wink and Lee looked up to the sky in suffering silence good naturedly with a smile. Emmett clapped his hands thrice and rubbed them together and brought his head in like he was gonna tell them a secret. Some of them brought their heads in closer to play along.

"Okay, so Operation Friend Bella..."

BellaPOV

I was laughing along with Jessica and Mike to something Angela had said when I felt my pocket vibrate. I reached for my phone and opened it up to see a text message from Lee.

Lee: Commence Operation. Multiple possible known friendlies will make appearances throughout your day, act normal. ! Warning ! Possible danger level (Emmett and Kate are both involved and had some ideas) mild. ;D I apologize for nothing.

I didn't know how to take the message at first, but I just chalked it up to it being Lee. I shook my head and smiled sending a reply back.

Bella: If I get hurt I'm sooo blaming you for everything.

Lee: Psssshhhhhwaaaa I'll make sure they don't lay a finger on your pretty little head.

I blushed at that and put my phone away quickly feeling embarrassed.

"Ooooooooh, Bella's blushing! Did you get a text from your boy friend or something?" Jessica said with a glint in her eyes.

"Jessica! That's none of your business. Sorry about her Bella." Angela said looking at her apologetically.

I coughed into my fist, "Uh no, it's okay don't worry. No, it's not from a boyfriend. I wasn't really interested in starting a relationship with anyone when I was abroad or when I was back in Phoenix."

Angela gave her a knowing look and an understanding shake of the head. I smiled at her gratefully for understanding my meaning of being Bisexual and accepting it gracefully.

"Not even a crush?" Mike asked.

"I had a crush on this one girl, but we only had one class together and we never really talked much."

"That's kinda hot." Mike said.

Angela punched him in the shoulder, hard.

"Ow." Mike pouted at her.

Jessica rolled her eyes at Mike, "Men."

I laughed at their antics and the bell rang signaling the start of school.

We made our way to class and since it was a block schedule it was government for me first.

When I got to class I noticed that Edward was in this class, he wasn't in here yesterday morning. I took my seat which happened to be right next to his and behind two behind Mike's and Tyler's.

"Hello, Bella. Sorry, for my behavior yesterday I wasn't exactly feeling well." Edward said to me in a whisper leaning over just slightly.

"Ah, yeah.. you alright now?" I asked looking at his eyes to see if they were black. They weren't so I figured he wasn't going to vamp out.

"For the moment yes. I have Lee to thank for that really. I must confess something to you. Have you heard of La Tua Cantante?"

I did remember something briefly Jane had mention to me on that.

"Yeah, Jane said the person was like a vampire's walking cocaine brick."

Edward muttered something and look slightly uncomfortable with that analogy.

"Yes, I guess that is a rather apt description. As it so happens to be you turned out to be my singer..."

He stared at me with a searching gaze.

"Hmmm, well I guess I have your sister to thank for you not draining me dry and slaughtering the rest of the classroom then?" I said flippantly, with a whatever hand gesture.

"You are not freaking out. I don't understand. Why is that?"

"You are in control of yourself now, yes?"

"Yes, the smell of your blood is still very strong to me. I made sure to hunt before coming to school to help me resist."

"Then there you go, no harm, no foul. I can't condemn you for actions you may or may not do. Plus, it's a little hard for me to freak out over something like you potentially draining me. I've been around the Volturi for the last couple of years, well specifically Jane. That should be enough of an explanation."

He hummed and an amused smirk crossed his face.

"You are an interesting one for sure."

I waved him off, "Hardly. I just seem to have a sign somewhere on my body that says danger magnet."

He let out a small laugh into his fist and I smiled giving my self a small pat on the back.

He coughed once and gave me a serious look, "Maybe...my family and I will do what we can about your James problem. Rest assured."

I sobered up some thinking about the whole reason I was even here to begin with.

"Yeah... thanks for, you know. Helping me out and everything."

Edward gave me a gentle smile, "Thank us later. We haven't done anything yet."

I gave him a small tug of my lips and a thought occurred to me making me furrow my brow.

"Wait a second, I had this class yesterday and you weren't in it."

He turned his head away, "I was otherwise occupied by Emmett and therefore not present yesterday..."

"Oh..."

I don't know exactly how I came to be in this position, but one second I was walking from Government and next thing I know I was being lugged around like a sack of potatoes with an exasperated Rosalie quickly following.

"Emmett put her down right now!" Rosalie yelled at him.

"We are on a mission Rosalie!" Emmett said boisterously shifting me so I was more comfortable when I grunted.

"I can walk perfectly fine on my own." I said blowing away a strand of hair that fell in my vision.

Because a mad Rosalie was kind of a turn on and I did not want to actually miss a second of it. I discreetly checked to make sure I wasn't drooling and turned my chin wipe into placing my cheek on my fist, with my elbow digging into Emmett's back.

"Nonsense, Belly Button. Why walk when you have a perfectly good shoulder ride?"

"Belly Button? You couldn't think of a better nickname?" I pointed at the back of his head and mouthed really to Rosalie.

She shrugged her shoulders, "Emmett seriously put her down. What if she vomits or something?"

I felt a little indignant at that, "HEY! I wouldn't vomit over something like this. I happen to like rollercoasters."

"It was the first thing that popped into my head. What about Jelly Belly?"

"Do you have a fetish for stomachs or something?"

"NO! I mean my abs are rocking, but no. What about Bells?"

"Nope."

"How about Bee?"

"No, I feel like if I get used to that nickname I might just tune into every conversation that has the word be."

"Bellabug?"

"Cute, but no."

"Ella?"

"Are you even trying anymore?"

"I like bears a lot so how about Bella Bear?"

I was touched he was giving me a nickname with something he liked.

I felt a smile tug at my lips, "Alrighty, I guess that's fine."

"Wooo!" Emmett hollered jumping up and down and spinning around.

I grabbed onto the back of his shirt laughing all the while.

Rosalie had her hands out like he could drop me at any second, "Emmett!"

"It's fine Rosalie." I gave her a big grin and her just gave me an exasperated sigh.

"You guys are gonna be the death of me and class hasn't even started yet."

I thought I heard her wrong, "Wait what?"

Emmett placed me on my feet right outside of Trig and then he and Rosalie walked into the classroom. I followed after them taking my seat that happened to be right before their seats. Those seats were previously empty yesterday, and the only reason I didn't sit in the back was because Angela had an empty seat next to her.

There were only two other students in the room so I faced them and whispered, "Okay, so you two weren't in this class yesterday what gives? Did you all skip classes with just me or something?"

Emmett scratched his cheek and then gave me a solicitous grin, "Well, yesterday I had Edward pinned against th-"

I put my hand out forgetting that Edward had mention he was preoccupied with Emmett yesterday.

"You don't need to tell me. I do not need images in my head."

I lowered my had and looked inquisitively at Rosalie when she snorted.

She twirled a lock of hair around her finger and mumbled something.

Emmett hid a laugh with a cough and I could clearly hear Rosalie kick him.

"I'm sorry what?" I asked not getting what was so funny.

She huffed, "I said, since Emmett wasn't here I didn't bother to come to class because I would just be ogled or bothered by the hormonal pigs on two legs. I didn't want one of them getting ideas and moving seats for a day."

"Oh, well... I can see why you didn't come to class then."

"Yeah, oh..."

An awkward silence fell on us and I turned towards the front.

"No, no, no. You are not creating awkward silences and ruining this Rosalie." Emmett said in mock horror causing me to smile.

That just seemed so Emmett and I didn't even really know him, but from the little bit of interaction we had today I can just picture him being this childish.

"Would you point you finger somewhere else. I am creating nothing!"

I heard Rosalie slap his finger away gently for a vampire.

I think I'm going to look forwards to Trigonometrfrom now on.

Author's After Note:

Alrighty, so I figured after that cliff hanger a short fight scene was due. Here is a little snippet of some more of Lee's other word-ly experience and a bit more of her powers. I figured I end it on a little bit of silliness.
