Rael and Nefertari walked towards where they sensed the Falcon King's presence, with the young woman following behind the Campione.
The atmosphere around was making Nefertari's heart heavy. In comparison, Rael kept his usual calm.
"Nefertari..."
The young Egyptian woman who was distracted was surprised by Rael's call. Unexpectedly she found that she was only two steps away from Rael. One step more, and they would collide.
Nefertari quickly took a step back and bowed slightly.
"What is your order, Majesty?"
"I just saw you were distracted, so I should remind you. You don't want to leave?"
"If you participate in this battle between a Campione and a Heretic God? You know, during my battle against Horus, I might not be able to protect you in case of some unexpected incident."
Rael turned around as his obsidian eyes regarded Nefertari's emerald ones thoughtfully.
"I know that my meager power may not be of help, but as your Servant, how could I hide while you enter a battle?"
The young Priestess' tone was full of seriousness.
"Then do as you wish, but remember not to be distracted as you have now."
"Even if it is the battle's outcome, you have to be focused; otherwise, if you are in a life or death situation, I will not be able to help you."
"If you die here, it only means that Nefertari Urbi, an unprecedented genius, unfortunately, died young, that's all. So your life, your future, is in your hands."
Nefertari's gigantic magical ability gave her the wrong idea.
Because she has never seen a Heretic God with her own eyes and has only heard that mages and knights cannot fight against them, she is not convinced.
Only after facing a Heretic God will she know that her strength and the skills of a mortal could never do anything in front of a God.
Mortals could never rely on their power to kill the Gods. One could succeed depending on their wisdom and an unbelievable amount of luck.
Rael walked towards the temple while Nefertari decided to follow farther back so that she could watch from a safe point.
When Rael entered the large temple, he saw a figure standing there.
When he saw this figure, Rael felt his blood rush as if it was going to explode from his veins, his whole body was on edge, and it felt like it was going to explode.
"Sky Lord, Horus!"
Answering Rael's call, the Sky God of Ancient Egypt turned to him.
The King of the Gods had some of his injuries from previous battles, and his left eye, which had been gouged against Seth, was still missing.
Horus, in his myth, did not possess a healing Authority. Even when he lost his left eye during his battle against Seth in his myth, it was only replaced thanks to his mother, Isis.
But in the myth, Horus' eyes represented something, the right one representing the Sun and the left one the Moon.
The left eye destroyed in the fight against Seth in the myth was what the Egyptians said was the origin of the eclipse.
But the left eye that represented the Moon also represented Healing.
Therefore Rael believed that Horus should have a Healing Authority. Still, it was probably lost with the destruction of his eye.
"I released my presence in this place expecting the arrival of my uncle or that God of Death, but I did not expect both of them to be killed by a mortal, thus increasing the numbers of the Demon Kings in this land."
Horus sighed quietly with a gentle tone.
God's two wings rose behind him as the God of Heaven stood up.
"But whether it's those Gods or you, the Demon King, what I have to do is bring Heaven's judgment!"
"Son of the Fool, the Demon King who killed the Evil God Seth, come meet the judgment of the King of the Gods!"
Horus' speech became severe and full of conviction, but in response, Rael laughed lightly.
"Judgment? Please, you bird, let me show you my judgment towards you!"
Rael's black eyes flashed as a sarcastic smile appeared on his face. An intense black divine aura exploded from his body as his fist closed.
In an instant, Rael disappeared in a burst of speed as he appeared in front of Horus with his right fist raised.
There was no Authority in this blow, only a massive amount of refined magical energy enveloping him.
The Sky God reacted by summoning a large spear in his right hand and using it to fend off the blow.
The sound was as loud as thunder as the fist crashed into the divine weapon, and despite Horus' strength, he was sent to retreat far away.
Despite this, the Sky God quickly recovered as he wielded his weapon.
Seeing this, a battle-hungry smile appeared on Rael's face.
Darkness gathered at his feet as a large black rod appeared, and he quickly pulled it out.
What he held in his hand was a curved blade with a shaft, a scythe.
Drawing an elegant bow, it was a specialized weapon for harvesting targets. It was not a scythe for harvesting weeds. It was similar to the large scythes wielded by reapers.
It was the first of the two Authorities that were usurped from Thanatos; the Authority named [Scythe of Death] summoned the legendary weapon of the Greek Personification of Death.
At first glance, it seemed a much more complex weapon than a sword. Rael deftly turned it.
In an instant, God and the Campione shot toward each other.
Taking advantage of his spear's capabilities, Horus launched dozens of strokes, a deadly barrage of blows aimed at Rael's vital points; it was a sublime skill worthy of a God of War.
But Rael deftly turned his Scythe to defend himself against all the attacks he launched.
The two mortal enemies began an overwhelming duel of power and precision. The two weapons were wielded with such speed that they seemed like mere blurs, only the sparks of their collisions visible.
Even when they touched the ground, it was cut and torn as if they meant nothing.
Any mortal who came close to this furious storm of blows would indeed have been shredded and left in tiny pieces.
But even Rael and Horus could not keep this up indefinitely and soon moved away.
Rael had a few minor cuts on his back and arm, but it was nothing that bothered the Fifth King.
The God of Heaven also had superficial wounds, but such a thing didn't matter to a God of War used to battle.
Horus prepared to return to the attacks but fell to his knees on the ground while spitting blood.
"What..."
"Looks like you finally figured it out." Rael commented with an amused smile on his face.
