Cairo, the great capital of Egypt, is located on the banks of the Nile River.

At its center is Tahrir Square and the large Egyptian Museum, which displays a collection of antiquities such as royal mummies and golden artifacts of King Tutankhamen.

Nearby is Giza, the site of the famous pyramids and the Great Sphinx, which dates from the 26th century B.C.

In the wooded Zamalek, on the island of Gezira, the 187 m high Cairo Tower provides panoramic views of the city.

But that was only some time ago. For now, it is but a shadow of its true self.

The majestic buildings and the city that surrounds them. The glory, tall buildings, and robust steel, cement, and iron stood firm. They collapsed under the heat of the burning flames that burned them all.

The broad, firm, and still landscape is no longer there. They split apart. Cracks and craters were everywhere, separating houses, buildings, and everything from each other. If one were to see the condition of Cairo from a very high position, one would see the cracked landscape, almost like children dipping their little fingers into the fragile surface of the sand.

You could see people pleading for help, begging to be saved. They desire to survive, live, and see the next sunrise with their families, only for those who beg to be extinguished by the flames that eat them as if they were nothing more than ants.

You could hear people comforting themselves, trying to find a small ray of light in this very dark moment, hoping that a miracle would come and help them. Only for those hopes it was swallowed up by the darkness from the hole in the Earth that has broken beneath them, plunging them into darkness.

They pray. They cry. They cry out. They beg. They even offer their souls as long as they can all survive and see the next day.

But they were never answered. It is not the Devil, the Angel, the Gods, or the monster that comes to them, but nature's wrath. The Earth opens their bodies, swallows them whole, and crushes them into a pulp of blood. Fire burns and devours them as if they were made of oil, reducing their flesh and bones to nothing but black objects and ashes.

How could this happen?

A short while ago, everything was normal, regular, and passive; people went about their lives as usual.

Then suddenly, an earthquake came out of nowhere and wreaked havoc in the area. It spread like a plague, devastating the city, tearing it apart, and dividing its territory like a volcano erupting with the gods' wrath.

As this was happening in the city, black lightning flashed across the desert as it advanced at divine speed to a distant point.

Finding a safe point, Rael finally deactivated his divine speed and calmly placed Nefertari on the ground.

"Are you okay?" Rael asked, visibly worried.

He knew that using divine speed carried consequences if used too much. For the first time, Nefertari was affected by Divine power. She might have felt bad.

"I'm fine." the young Princess said as Rael helped her to her feet.

"I see, that's good. I had found out that Asenate was planning something, so he wished to summon a Heretic God." Rael spoke seriously.

"Not only that." As she took a deep breath, Nefertari said, "My grandfather wished to open a portal to the Kingdom of the Gods."

Rael's eyes widened in shock towards her, "What?!"

"He had planned to open a portal here. As Egypt is a land very connected to the Gods, there are more chances of them manifesting here. My grandfather was going to open a portal that would further increase those chances by allowing several Gods to descend into the mortal world."

"But to do so... The sacrifice would be..."

"Gigantic." Nefertari nodded, "He planned to use all the other people living in this country and me, but you managed to arrive in time, So such a thing did not occur."

Rael let out a relieved sigh, but soon his attention went to something.

The Earth shook violently as Rael directed his gaze to the city of Cairo that he could see even from a distance with his enhanced vision.

A violent earthquake shook the entire city; volcanoes began to pop up all around Egypt as they erupted all over the country, spewing gigantic waves of lava.

And from a colossal fissure, they came.

Divine Beasts.

Many of them. They erupt from the crack in the Earth beneath the city and rise like evil creatures taking to the sky. Their number exceeds hundreds.

The main ones were dragons, and other beasts representing the Earth emerged from within the rift as it advanced against everything in its sight.

Nefertari and Rael, who stared into the distance, were in pure shock at what they saw.

"Even if the portal was disrupted... it seems that Divine Beasts managed to manifest..." Nefertari muttered to herself.

"No, not yet." Rael said, seriously catching the young woman's attention, "It's not over yet."

The [King's] eyes narrowed.

"It's coming."

The Earth shook even more violently as several gigantic black pillars appeared, seeming to pierce the sky.

An immense black arm appeared from the great crack in the ground, and soon something emerged from the great crack. It was a colossal giant that seemed to reach for the sky. Its body was entirely made of black rocks while bubbling magma seemed to surround its entire skin.

The divine aura emanating from that being was incomparable to that of the Divine Beasts.

There was no doubt that that being was a God.

"It seems that at least one of them has manifested." Rael muttered, seeing the gigantic Heretic God.

The Earth shook with his presence, and lava erupted from the Earth with every move he made. He was an [Earth God] for sure.

Rael's eyes turned to Nefertari.

"Do you know what God that is?" Rael asked. Being a Hime-Miko, Nefertari could use [Spiritual Vision].

Nefertari looked at the colossal giant as his eyes seemed to blur.

"He is the first Divine King, the Son of the Sun and Husband of Heaven, the one who stretches across the earth and is the father of the King of the Underworld and the King of the Desert."

Nefertari finally seemed to return to normal after reciting a few words and, with a trembling tone, turned to Rael.

"He is the God Geb."

Rael's eyes widened slightly.

His enemy was the Son of Ra, father of Osiris and Seth, Husband of the Goddess of Heaven, and considered the very personification of Earth.

His enemy was the Egyptian equivalent of Gaia.

With a calm and determined look, Rael turned toward the Heretic God.

"Will you go?"

"As a Campione, if a Heretic God appears, I must deal with them."

Rael said calmly as he shrugged. Even though his enemy was equivalent to a Primordial God, he didn't show he cared.

As a God Slayer Demon King, be it God, Buddha, or Fate itself, he will crush everything with his Authority.

Nefertari seeing this approach Rael, the Campione turned slightly towards her in doubt. Nefertari took advantage of this to give him a light kiss.

"For good luck."

The young woman said with a shy look on her face, her severe and bossy personality with the majesty of a Queen had been replaced by a shy young woman.

Rael had a smile on her face.

"On the cheek? Couldn't it be on the mouth?"

"Quiet." Nefertari stammered as Rael kept that smile on her face, "I-If you win, I will think about your case."

Hearing her words, Rael earned a smile as he let out a laugh.

"Now I am motivated! A real man would go to hell for a kiss from a beautiful lady!"

Rael laughed happily as Nefertari turned increasingly red.

Black lightning flickered through his body as he smiled at the Princess of Egypt.

Using his Divine Authority, shrouded in black lightning, Rael entered the world of divine speed and advanced towards the Heretic God, leaving Nefertari smiling behind.
