Back in Arendelle, the entire kingdom was covered was covered in layers of ice and snow amid chilly temperatures in the upper teens and lower 20s, well below freezing. As everyone, both citizens and guests, anxiously waited for a sign that the situation would improve, they wisely spent their time by adapting to and making the most out of it.

"No, no, you've got the bark facing down! The bark needs to be face up!" Said a guy as he flipped over a piece of wood at the top of a woodpile. The other guy grabbed it and tried flipping it back, only to get into a game of tug of war.

"Bark down is drier!"

"BARK UP!"

"BARK DOWN!"

"BARK UP!"

"Cloak? Does anyone need a cloak?" Asked Hans as he and two Arendellian guards handed out cloaks to the citizens.

"Arendelle is indebted to you, Your Highness." Said Gerda as she picked up a purple cloak at the top of the stack Hans was holding.

"The castle is open. There is soup and hot glogg in the Great Hall."

Hans stopped to hand his stack of cloaks to another guard.

"Here, pass these out."

"Prince Hans!" Called the Duke of Weselton as he and his two bodyguards, Erik and Francis, approached.

"Are we expected to just sit here and freeze while you give away all of Arendelle's tradable goods?"

"Princess Anna has given her orders. And I trust that she and the Autobots are-"

"And that's another thing! Has it dawned on you that your princess and those four little tin soldiers may be conspiring with a wicked sorceress to destroy us all?!"

"Do not question the princess. She left me in charge, and I will not hesitate to protect Arendelle from treason!"

"Wha- treason?!" The Duke said in a flabbergasted, almost offended tone.

The alarmed whinny of a horse suddenly caught their attention. Anna's horse ran into the area, bucking and kicking.

"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa, boy! Easy. Easy." Said Hans as he grabbed the horses reins and steadied it.

"It's Princess Anna's horse."

"But where's the princess?"

"Where could she be?"

"Where is she?"

Hans looked up at the distant mountains as more and more panicked murmurs started spreading throughout the crowd.

"Princess Anna is in trouble. I need volunteers to go with me to find her!" Hans proclaimed.

"I'll go!"

"I volunteer!"

"I volunteer two men, my lord!" The Duke claimed as several Arendellian guards verbally signed up for the mission.

"Be prepared for anything. And should you encounter the queen, you are to put an end to this winter. Do you understand?" He said quietly enough so that only Erik and Francis could hear it. They put on stern expressions.

Meanwhile, deeper and further into the winter wonderland surrounding the kingdom than ever, Anna, Cliffjumper, Kristoff, Olaf, Ratchet, Smokescreen, Sven and Wheeljack moved through hostile looking terrain full of wind-swept icicles. Some pointed straight up out of the ground, others faced horizontal.

"Watch your step, these things look pretty dangerous." Said Smokescreen.

"No need to tell me. Now how exactly are you planning to stop this weather?" Asked Kristoff.

"Oh I am gonna talk to my sister." Anna said, confidently.

"That's your plan? My ice business is riding on you talking to your sister? Th- the whole kingdom is riding on you talking to your sister?"

"Yep."

Kristoff stopped in his tracks the moment a horizontal icicle poked him in the nose.

"So you're not at all afraid of her?" He said as he carefully backed away and moved around it.

"Why would I be?"

"Yeah, I bet she's the nicest, gentlest, warmest person ever." Said Olaf as he walked backwards, straight through an icicle. It ran through his torso as his bottom half slipped off and fell down.

"Oh look at that. I've been impaled." He said with a chuckle.

"You seem disturbingly chill about that." Said Cliffjumper.

"Ha! Was that intentional?" Asked Wheeljack.

"Surely you know me better than that, Wheeljack." Said Cliffjumper as he turned around to face Wheeljack, walking backwards in the process.

"I'm always intentional when I feel like being funny."

Cliffjumper stopped in his tracks the second he felt something sharp scratch his back.

"Careful, Cliffjumper!" Said Smokescreen as Cliffjumper turned around, facing another horizontal icicle.

"That is why we must watch where we step and look where we're going. You guys got it?" Asked Ratchet as Anna and Kristoff pieced Olaf back together.

"Yeah Ratchet, we'll be fine." Said Anna.

"Good. Now come on, the North Mountain can't be that much further." Said Ratchet as he led the way.

Even more time passed for the group. They came to a stop at an edge that led to a drop-off, an apparent dead end. To their right, the face of the mountain went straight up.

"What now?" Asked Anna as they walked up to it.

"Obviously, it's time to climb!" Said Wheeljack as he jumped onto the mountain face and started moving up.

"Well, what are you guys waiting for?" Asked Cliffjumper as he prepared to follow suit.

"It's too steep. It may not be a problem for you guys, but for us humans it's a different story. I've only got one rope, and Anna doesn't know how to climb mountains." Said Kristoff as he dug through his rucksack.

"Says who?" Said Anna.

Sven nudged Kristoff by lightly tapping him with his antlers. Kristoff looked up to see Anna attempting to follow Wheeljack up the mountain.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm... going... to see... my sister!" Anna said, with a decent amount of strain in her voice.

"You're gonna kill yourself." Said an unimpressed Kristoff.

Wheeljack stopped at his position on the face of the mountain to look down at Anna, hanging on with one hand and both his feet as she searched for footholds and hand-holds.

"I wouldn't put my foot there." Said Kristoff as Anna's right foot slipped.

"You're distracting me."

"Or there. How do you know Elsa even wants to see you?"

"Alright, I'm gonna- I'm just blocking you out, 'cause I gotta concentrate here." Said Anna right before her feet slipped yet again.

"You know, most people who disappear into the mountains wanna be alone."

"Nobody wants to be alone! Except maybe you!"

"I'm not alone! I have friends, remember?"

"You mean the love experts?"

"Yes. The love experts."

Anna kicked her left foot above her head to catch a foothold, only to realize that she was stuck.

"Please tell me I'm almost there."

She was no less than six feet above the ground. Cliffjumper took a few steps back as he examined her progress, or lack thereof, with Ratchet and Smokescreen.

"Does the air seem a bit thin to you up here?" Anna said with some heavy breaths.

"This is the same girl that becomes queen in the present?" Ratchet whispered into Smokescreen's audio receptors.

"Keep in mind, that won't happen for three more years. A lot can change in that time. I mean, our situation changed in like, a week. Or however long our enchanted forest adventure took." Replied Smokescreen.

"Fair enough."

After getting a kick out of Anna's predicament, Kristoff pulled the rope out of the bag.

"Hang on."

"Hey, Sven?" Called Olaf as he stepped out from behind a rock by the edge of the mountain that turned out to lead to a narrow, well-hidden path.

"Not sure if this is gonna solve the problem, but I found a staircase that leads exactly where you want it to go."

"Ha ha! Thank goodness! Catch!"

Anna dropped off the cliff. Kristoff's reflexes instantly kicked in, and he caught her in his arms.

"Thanks! That was like a crazy trust exercise."

Anna hopped down and bounded off. Kristoff watched her in admiration, which did not go unnoticed by Wheeljack as he jumped off the face of the mountain and struck a three-point landing on the snow below.

Through the well-hidden path was a clear plain that led to the base of Elsa's brilliant, blue ice palace. It stood high and mighty at the summit of the North Mountain as the group approached.

"Whoa." Said Anna.

"Now that's ice. I might cry." Said Kristoff.

"Go ahead. I won't judge." Said Anna as she started up the steps along with Olaf and the Autobots.

"Not sure if I can say the same thing about Ratchet, though." Said Smokescreen.

Sven tried to follow in their footsteps, but only made it up eight or nine steps before his hooves slipped out. He scrambled but just couldn't get any traction.

"All right, take it easy boy. Come here, I gotcha!" Said Kristoff as he settled Sven back down the stairs and petted him.

"You stay right here, buddy."

Sven obediently plopped down as Kristoff climbed the stairs, fully admiring the icy details. He whistled.

"Flawless."

Anna arrived at the top step, right in front of the door. She held up her right fist, but hesitated as Cliffjumper, Kristoff, Olaf, Ratchet, Smokescreen and Wheeljack came to their own steps right behind her.

"Knock." Said Olaf.

Anna still hesitated.

"Just knock."

She still didn't do anything as many different thoughts ran through her head.

"Why isn't she knocking? Do you think she knows how to knock?"

"Take it easy, Olaf. This is a big deal for her." Said Cliffjumper.

Anna finally leaned in and knocked on the door, where it slowly opened all on its own.

"Ha. It opened. That's a first."

Right before walking in, Anna stopped and turned to Kristoff.

"Oh, you should probably wait out here."

"What?"

"Last time I introduced her to a guy, she froze everything."

"I don't think we wanna find out what'll happen if she's introduced to another guy." Said Wheeljack.

"But- but- oh, come on! It's a palace made of ice! Ice is my life!"

"Bye, Sven!" Said Olaf.

"You too, Olaf."

"M- me?"

"This situation calls for those who know how to properly handle it. I think now's as good a time as ever for our persuasion to be put to good use." Said Ratchet.

"Ratchet's right. Just, give us a minute." Said Anna.

"Okay." Said Olaf as Anna and the four Autobots stepped inside.

"One... two... three..." Said Olaf as he turned around and sat on the top step as the ice doors started closing.

"Four..." Said Olaf and Kristoff, who decided to join in.
