"Woah, sis!" 17 yelled. The energy beam sailed past his park ranger shirt, narrowly missing. "You gotta' settle down! It's only sparring..."

The two androids were exchanging blows above sea-level. They called it training, but 18 wasn't holding back. Gero, 16 and 19 observed the android's violent nature to better one another through combat .

"HYARHHHHHHH!" 17 propelled his cupped hands at 18, unleashing a thunderous Ki blast that seared towards her. 18 was quick to react. With the back of her red fingerless gloved hand the female android swatted 17's attack away like a pestering insect far into the distant landmasses of the archipelago. A seismic explosion lifted into the clouds and both warriors smirked with exuberating confidence.

"Not bad, bro," 18 praised. She shifted herself upright, folded her arms, then continued with her jesting smack-talk. "That one might've actually given me something to worry about. Perhaps a mild headache, or a sore thumb."

"Try this on for a headache!" 17 said, he then vanished entirely from view

"I don't think so!"

The female android turned on the spot and extended her leg. A fierce roundhouse kick honed in on 17's re-emerging head, but 18 was left shocked when her foot went through 17's head.

An illusion?!

"GAHHHH!.." An elbow from above sunk deep into 18's scalp, sending the female android hurtling into the seawater below with tremendous force. The mirage soon faded and the real 17 materialized in the sky. He furrowed his brows, focusing intently. He had landed a decent blow on 18, but would it be enough to win him this sparring contest?

"Two can play at that!" screamed 18, who suddenly surfaced from behind. A stabbing knee to the kidney catapulted 17 away. It took him completely by surprise. He crashed into the waves but recovered quickly. They both wanted more. The thrill of battle ran deep through their veins. It was like a drug; they both needed these extra hits to be satisfied. The last one standing would be named the winner.

"Okay, you two, that's enough training for today," Gero cut in. The two androids came to a rapid halt, and the doctor was met with confused expressions.

"What!? You-... You can't be serious!?" 18 protested.

"Oh come on, Doc! I was just getting fired up!" 17 pleaded. "Can't we keep going for a teenie bit longer!?... Please!?"

"I'm sorry, but in order to become stronger, you must first learn to control your emotions," Gero said, bearing a dainty grin. "You two were always a handful. I honestly cannot recall the last time I met such a driven bunch of individuals."

18 looked away and huffed with displeasure. To her, it was incredibly distasteful for Gero to call a halt to their spar so early. They didn't even get the opportunity to test out their upgrades properly.
