16, 17 & 18 moved cautiously through one of the abandoned quarries on the edge of the city. They had already searched three different quarries that afternoon for a mysterious signal that Gero had detected but so far they were drawing a blank, "Maybe this is one of Those Gero lessons", 17 suggested, "like a test of our patience or something".

Rolling her eyes, 18 responded, "He wouldn't send all 3 of us without a good reason".

16 meanwhile was trying to sense any additional presences in the area. Sighing in frustration, he reached for his communicator, "Gero there's nothing out here", he began, "are you sure the signal's still in the area".

"I find you lack of faith in my computer disturbing", Gero snarked back, "the energy signature's still out there and its similar to yours".

"Other?" 18 asked.

"No everyone's currently accounted for", Gero replied, "the signal's getting stronger and it's moved to about 300 hundred meters to the north east".

"Fine", 16 groaned, "we'll keep looking but if we don't find anything in the next ten minutes we're coming back", he abruptly cut off communications and pointed in the direction Gero had given them.

Looking down over the Androids, in brown boots, black pants, green shirts and blsck leather jackets, there was 1 on one shirt, a 2 on the others, red ribbon army logo pathh on their jacket sleeves, their heads were grass hopper like, one had a single horn the other had two. They Gamma 1 and Gamma 2 and they were ready to fight. The Androids shook their heads as they continued their fruitless search, "Look at them", Ichigo began, "two hours of searching and they haven't even thought to look up".

"As much fun as it is leading those guys on a wild goose chase", Nigo began, "shall we get this over with? I'd like to finish this off before dinner time".

Ichigo nodded and pulled his blaster from his hip, "I'm thinking pizza at tonight", he joked and the pair jumped down to the floor below.

The Androids were startled when the two Gamma's landed in front of them. For a few moments no one moved as a silent tension descended on the quarry. "No way", 17 broke the silence, "man you guys are dumb", he slowly began to approach the newcomers.

"Guys keep back", 16 called out but it was too late. 17 reached out towards Nigo, "Look we don't want any trouble,", 18 added.

"What if we do?" Nigo sneered, he turned to 17 and kicked him hard in the stomach. 17 was pushed back but he didn't fall down, instead he staggered into line with 16.

"Hey that wasn't called for", 18 began.

Ichigo swung towards the unprepared android but fortunately for her, 16 intercepted it, "At least one of you isn't incompetent", he said to 16.

"I don't want to hurt you", 16 spat, "but you leaving me no choice".

"Trust me, you won't hurt us", Nigo chuckled and blasted 16 in the arm. 16 dropped his stance which left his open to a stiff kick in the ribs from Ichigo. 16 rolled across the ground and held his chest in pain, "This is your final warning", Nigo continued, "surrender now".

The three Androids froze for a moment but all it took was a silent look between them to decide on their next course of action. They quickly charged their ki, attempting to confuse Ichigo and Nigo. Ichigo though just scoffed at the trick and blasted the androids, Nigo following suit. The trio skidded across the dirt in a heap, "Seriously did you morons fail fighting 101 or something".

"These guys are getting on my last nerve", 17 was quickly on his feet and unleashed a barrage of kicks against the arrogant Ichigo. A couple of blows found their target but on the whole, Ichigo was equal to 17, Ichigo caught 17's arm and twisted it behind his back. He pushed the android away and shot his back. 17 cried out in pain and fell to the ground.

Nigo meanwhile was caught in a two on one battle against 16 & 18. Gamma 2 leapt over 18 and blocked her next attack, "I do like a feisty woman", Nigo chuckled as he grabbed the girl's wrist.

18 wrenched he arm free and kicked Nigo in the abdomen, perhaps a little further south than Gamma 2 was expecting, "Feisty enough for you", she spat back.

"Trust me sweetheart, we're just getting warmed up", Nigo groaned and dropped to the ground. The pair thought he was defeated but instead Nigo shot at the back of their legs. 16 & 18 stumbled backwards, giving Nigo enough time to leap back to his feet. His weapon crackled with dark red energy. He fired at the two androids and it caught them across the chest. The extra energy charge knocked the pair into the air and they crashed back to earth with mighty thud.

"This is even more disappointing then I thought it would be", Ichigo sighed. He surveyed the fallen androids but to his surprise, they were slowly getting to their feet, "They're a resilient bunch aren't they", he said.

"We have been going easy on them", Nigo added, "maybe it's time to show them our true power". The pair charged up. They waited for the androids to get to their feet and jumped into the air. unleasheling a duo rider kick at the unsuspecting androids.

When the attack hit the Androids it felt like every single muscle in their body was crying out in pain. The surge felt like it was going on forever but it was their bodies that finally gave out. Their legs crumpled underneath them and they fell to the ground. 18 coughed deeply and 17 twitched involuntarily, residual energy still surging through his system. "Listen up", Ichigo began, "there's no way your going to defeat us"

"Yea", Nigo added, "the choice is yours, stay out of our way or face the consequences".

"We'll be ready for round two", Ichigo chuckled to himself, "will you?" Gamma 1 and Gamma 2 turned around and walked away. The androids groaned in pain.
