After weeks of misery, finally the Androids had some good news. Almost immediately after returning, they were thrown into another battle with Ichigo and Nigo. This time though the Androids came out on top, handing the two Gamma's their first defeat. Since that day Ichigo and Nigo hadn't been seen.
Unfortunately that was the end of the good news. RR industires only held a limited amount of information. Everything else had been stored in a warehouse, which had been destroyed by recent Frieza force attack.
"This is hopeless", 17 slammed a dusty book shut and it promptly kicked a large amount of dust into his face. He coughed a couple of times then sneezed loudly, disrupting the other occupants inside The common room.
16 looked at the prime ranger in disgust, "Can you cover your mouth next time, I could really do without catching something from you".
"Why don't we give this a rest", 18 pushed a tablet away from her and stretched out her back.
"Guys we can't give up on this", 19 pleaded with them, "Ichigo and Nigo could've already discovered something critical".
"Dude can't you just ask Capsule Corp", 17 asked.
"If only", Gero said rather quickly, "they're off world".
18 rolled her eyes, "Your way too dramatic". She was practically out the door when Gero called out, "Remember if you see your new stalker".
"Yeah yeah, I know" 18 replied, the female android left the Base and walked through the park near the base.
"I wasn't expecting you to take this long", Nigo's voice carried through the trees. The rider droid was sitting on the metal barrier which protected vehicles from the edge of park. His motocross bike was parked next to him and his helmet was hanging off the handle bars.
"What do you want Nigo", 18 hissed, "this is bordering on harassment".
Nigo held his hand up in a defensive gesture, "I just want to talk", he moved towards his hip and unclipped his blaster. It dropped to the ground with a loud rattle, "A show of good faith that I mean you no harm".
"What about the other times then?" 18 began, "like the time you ambushed us in the quarry or the time you left us for dead".
"I'm not saying that I'm innocent", Nigo sighed and pushed his hands into his pockets.
"That's doesn't change anything", she forced herself to say, "you've tried to kill me and my friends on several occasions".
"We went too far", Nigo admitted, "and I want to make amends". He reached into his pocket and pulled out a USB stick, "There's something coming,", he shook the small piece of plastic and metal in his hand, "this is everything we have". He threw the stick over to 18 and she caught it in her right hand.
For a few moments, 18 inspected the stick with caution. This could be another trick, the USB stick could contain a virus that destroyed the network, like one that destroyed her a few months ago. Part of her wanted to believe Nigo but she just couldn't trust him, "I'm going to have to get this checked out", she stated.
"I wouldn't expect any less", Nigo smiled, "take care of yourself 18", he turned around and mounted his bike, removed the helmet from the handlebars.
Nigo sighed, without saying another word he put his helmet on and started up his bike. He began the long ride back into town, leaving a very confused 18 behind.
Red Ribbon City , started out as outpost for the Red Ribbon Army during General Blue's original campaign. The outpost was host to not only thousands of Red Ribbons at the time but the young Gero's android program which had only just begun. Tensions reached their height during the original campaign. Goku attacked Right at the heart of his maelstrom of anger was the Red Ribbon Outpost. Since then Gero took over the army and the Outpost was left abandoned, that is until Gero Abandoned the Army starting up Red Ribbon Industries, allowing Magenta to buy the Red Ribbon Army and turn into a global brand, the outpost began to grow as popularity of Red Ribbon grew, the Red Ribbon Army not only a peace keeper service now, became a restaurant chain, fashion brand and many more things. And the once abandoned outpost became bustling city full of Citizens and Red Ribbon personnel members.
Nigo returned straight home after meeting with 18 and parked his bike outside their apartment. It wasn't especially big but it provided shelter, a warm bed and somewhere to train. Nigo climbed the metal staircase to the landing and unlocked the door. The front room was sparsely furnished with a battered couch, a TV and a wooden table that was piled high with bills, junk mail and old pizza boxes. "Doctor? Ichigo?", Nigo called out, "you in here?"
"In the training room", came Doctor Hideo's reply. Nigo walked to the back of the apartment where there was a makeshift gym with some free weights and a thin practice mat, "You've been gone a while", Hideo added as Ichigo towelled off the sweat from his forehead.
"Just felt like a ride", it wasn't a total lie, Nigo had gone for a ride. He just omitted the part where he met 18.
"Out looking for that ditzy android", Ichigo nudged Nigo on the shoulder. "I'll admit she's kinda cute,". Nigo nodded silently in agreement, he didn't want to give anything away. Fortunately Ichigo didn't push the issue, instead Hideo grabbed a map off the floor, "I've found it", he said with a broad smile and thrust the map onto the table.
"The location of Son Goku's house?" Nigo asked with a hint of disbelief.
"Don't sound like that", Ichigo said, "We aren't idiots you know".
"Yeah", Nigo replied, He quickly scanned the map and found a spot marked with a red circle, "You'll have to forgive me if I sound a little sceptical", he added.
"True, but no not that" Hideo smiled, "there have been several reports of weird energy readings and sightings of Red Ribbon Army in Satan city".
"Hardly reliable data", Nigo snorted and threw the map back to Ichigo.
"Have some faith", Ichigo began, "at the very least it's worth checking out", Gamma 1 dropped the map to the floor and moved towards the door.
"We're not going now are we?" Nigo asked apprehensively.
Ichigo and Hideo stopped and stared at the blue Gamma, "No we're not but would it be a problem if we did?"
"Yeah, I suppose", Nigo sighed.
" Come on we have to stop Red Ribbon from activating Cell Max" Hideo said.
