Percy POV
When I woke up again I was on the ground in the middle of a jungle. "Well look who's up" Rayla said "You really are a deep sleeper" I stretched "Where are we?" I asked "About a day out from the storm spire" She answered "Where?" "The home of the dragon queen" "Oh" "We couldn't make it very far dragging you across Xadia. So we decided to stop for a little bit" I looked around "Where's Callum?" I asked "He went to get some berries" Rayla explained "He should be back soon"
And when he returned we headed out.
The next day we exited the jungle into a massive field of grass. In the center stood a giant, yet slender mountain. With storm clouds swirling around the top.
And, just a football field south of the mountain. Was something I will never forget.
"Wow" I said "That is one depressing statue" I looked at the dragon made of stone. Reaching up to the mountain out of desperation. Rayla sighed "It's not a statue. That was Zym's father" I looked at the dragon again. I realized that it was too detailed to be a statue. Then I saw the spear. The only thing that had color on it had been plunged into his heart. Looking at the dragon brought back bad memories. Callum stared at it. "Hey" I said "You ok?" "Honestly" he said "I don't know how to feel about it" his expression hardened "I feel angry because he killed my mom. But also, sad because," he looked at the baby dragon "Because that was Zym's dad"
Then a blue light glowed in the sky. We looked up and saw the outline of what looked like a bird. When the light dissipated, it turns out it was a bird. With a boy on it's back.
When the bird landed, well landing is putting it nicely. The poor thing was so tired it collapsed on impact with the ground.
I'm pretty sure I've seen the boy before. He looked familiar, but I just couldn't place him.
Then Callum embraced the boy, and I remembered.
The boy was Callum's stepbrother Ezrin. Heir to the throne yada yada yada.
"Ez," Callum said "What are you doing here?" "It's a long story" Ezrin said "I was king for a couple days" then his expression hardened "Then everything went bad. The other human leaders were attacked" No one knew what to say after that. "Two are dead, one mortally Injured, I don't know about the other. Prince Kasif came to me, requesting that I send troops to help him and others conquer Xadia. I refused and he threatened war with Katalis. Eventually, I had to advocate the throne" "Oh Ez" Callum said "Viren took the throne" Ezrin said "He's coming with the other human armies to conquer Xadia and kill Zym" "Wow" I said "This would make a great show on Netflix" Everyone looked at me "What?" Rayla asked "Forget it" I said.
Then Ezrin looked at the bird. "Oh no" he said. He ran up to the creature "She's so tired. She flew all the way here. I tried to make her stop but..." Then the bird glowed blue. We covered our eyes, it was so bright.
When the light faded, all that remained of the bird was a blue feather. Ezrin picked it up. "She's a moon Phoenix" he said "When the time is right, she'll be reborn"
A few hours passed and it was sundown. We would scale the mountain tomorrow but tonight we decided to rest.
I was sitting by the fire we built. Ezrin and Zym were sound asleep. I may have forgotten to mention Bait. Ezrin's pet toad. Don't question it. It's kinda like me having a giant hell hound as a pet.
Anyways, Rayla was sharpening her blades. I stared at the fire. I thought about home and all my friends. I thought about my mom, who might actually kill me this time. I thought of Camps Half-Blood and Jupiter. I thought of Annabeth, and what she must be thinking. What they all must be thinking. They probably think I'm dead, again.
I sighed. "It never ends" I accidentally said out loud. "What does?" Callum asked "My luck" I said "It's always one thing after another. One more bad guy to stop, one more life to save, one more battle to fight. And the crazy thing is, I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world" "That's a good mindset to have" Rayla said "Finding happiness in what you have. Many people don't realize that"
I sighed and looked wistfully into the fire. "We should get some sleep" I said. The two nodded in agreement.
The next day we began our climb of the Storm Spire.
To say it was difficult would be like saying Zeus can kind of toss lightning.
The damn thing went about twenty feet above the clouds.
We were halfway up when we came across an arch. "It's in elvish" Rayla said "What's it say?" I asked "Well, it's old elvish" She said "But it basically says..." she was silent "What?" Callum asked "What does it say?" Rayla "It says 'Prepare to take your final breath' " I gulped "That doesn't bode well" I said. We continued up. Wary of what might await us.
We went higher up the mountain and the higher we got the harder it got to breathe. It got to a point where my lungs barely had a chance to take any air in.
I could tell the others had the same problem. "Guy...guys" I said "It's uhh...it's...kinda...hard...to...breathe" "W-We" Ezrin said "Have..to... keep, going" "Yeah-" Callum said as he slumped down "Let's just...sit down for...a little bit" "Yeah-" Rayla agreed "Just gotta...rest" she collapsed. I tried to breathe but I couldn't keep going. Then my legs gave up on me and everything went black.
I was back in that war room from my dream. The four chairs and the four rulers. They appeared to be arguing.
"Are you insane!?" Cal asked "Natalia, we can't just go around conquering other universes. It's impossible!" "Nothing is impossible" Natalia said "It's a wild goose chase!" Oswald yelled "It's more than that!" Natalia said "It's possible!" "Natalia!" Phoebe said "That crazy old man is filling your head with impossible dreams!" "It's real!" Natalia defended once more "DAMMIT NATALIA" Cal said "VAL IS GONE!" "THIS IS MUCH MORE THAN THAT" "ENLIGHTEN US THEN" Natalia took a deep breath. "If we do this" Natalia said "We can have an endless supply of energy and supplies. Not only that, we can conquer death. We can be immortal!" Her friends looked at her "Natalia," Oswald said "Listen to yourself. Immortality, endless supplies and energy. Such things are impossible" "I'm sorry Natalia" Phoebe said "But I will not take part in your fantasies" "Nor will I" Cal said "Or I" Oswald said. Natalia sighed "Then I'm sorry. Ludwig!"
The old man with the staff walked through an arch. "What is the meaning of this!?" Oswald demanded "I didn't want it to come to this" Natalia said. She looked at the old man "I'm afraid what you said came to pass" she looked at her friends one last time. She had tears in her eyes "I'm sorry" she said. Then she turned her head. "Do it" The old man raised his staff, his eyes glowed white. "Spiritus et animae a corpore raptum, capti aeternum spes ulla fugae!" He chanted.
Oswald gasped, so did Cal and Phoebe. Air was pulled out of their bodies and into the staff. Then their bodies fell out of their chairs. Natalia looked up, she was crying. The old man noticed this and turned to her "My empress" he said "They did not share your vision. You're better off witho-" "SHUT UP!" She interrupted "They were my only friends! I've known them since we were children! They helped me through the worst times in my life! SO NO! I AM NOT BETTER OFF!"
Then the room was engulfed in light.
Wind filled my lungs.
I took a deep breath and opened my eyes.
Callum and Ezrin were breathing normally now. I smiled. Then we looked over and realized Rayla was still unconscious. Callum crawled over to her and held her in his arms. "Rayla," he said "Rayla come on. Wake up" then Rayla's eyes shot open and she gasped. "Your ok!" Callum said relieved. The two kissed. "Hey, that's not part of the spell!" Ezrin said. Rayla and Callum stopped "Awkward" I said "Oh," Callum said "Yeah, you were away for awhile and now this is a thing" he made a gesture between him and Rayla. Ezrin thought about this in his head. Then he was wide eyed and said "Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-" You get the point.
We moved on. Breathing easily now, and by sundown we reached the top. "We made it!" I said triumphantly "YES, HA HA. Take that Zues!" Everyone looked at me "What?" I asked.
Then a man emerged from inside the mountain where the dragons lair was. He was an elf with blue/purplish skin. Wearing wizard robes and carrying a wooden staff. "We have brought him home" Rayla said "Azymondias, the dragon prince" "He's here to see his mother" Ezrin said. "It makes my heart leap to see that he lives" the man said. Then his expression darkened "But you are too late"
He signaled for us to follow him, and we did so. "So the dragon queen" Rayla said "Is she..." "No, no" The man said "She lives and breathes, but she is not with us. She is gravely ill" We continued into a court room. Stone statues of dragons stood next to an arch. "My name is Ibis, mage of the Skywing elves" the man said "When I learned that the dragon queen had closed her eyes, I thought I could use my magic to heal her. But unfortunately I was unable to. That was ten days ago. Losing her mate and her egg, had irreparably broken her heart" We started walking through the arch when Zym started whimpering. The baby dragon turn and ran back into the court room. Ezrin turned to the dragon and said "It's ok Zym" he said "She's your mother" he walked up to Zym and tried to pick him up. But Zym backed away from him. "You're nervous" he said "It's ok. You wait out here, and when your ready, you can meet her" We continued into the dragons nest. A giant blue dragon was sleeping in her nest. Her tail, wrapped around an egg that wasn't there. I had no words. Apparently neither did anyone else, is was just... so depressing.
Then Ez did something unexpected, at least to me.
He walked up to the sleeping queen and gently put his hand on her nose. "Wake up" he said "Your babies here" the dragon did not stir. "Please," Ezrin tried again "Wake up" The dragon remained still. Ez took his hand off the dragon and walked back towards us. Rayla turned and ran back into the court room. Callum ran after her. I myself walked out of the lair altogether and stood just outside the arch. I decided to meditate, to see if I could get back to my vision. No such luck. Instead I saw something else. A man in white robes who's skin was a pale purple and his eyes were black like death. He smiled creepily. He was carrying a golden staff and had some weird giant insect on his shoulder. He stood before a massive army. One that did not look natural. Thousands of men and women fully decked out in armor, who's skin glowed and eyes glowed and nails turned into claws, They each grew about three feet taller. Not gonna lie. It creeped the Hades outta me. Then the scene changed. The guy and girl from when I first landed were arguing about something. Soren and Claudia, I think their names were. I couldn't hear what they were saying but at the end of their argument, Soren tried to hug Claudia, but she denied it. Soren then turned away with a pained expression on his face. Claudia called out to him, but Soren kept walking.
I guess I had fallen asleep, cause when I opened my eyes the sun was rising. I decided to kill some time and practice my sword play. I had Ibis summon me some wind spirits to fight. I haven't fought anything in weeks, so I was a little rusty.
The weird faceless embodiments of wind were surprisingly skilled with a blade. Which I'm 50% sure Ibis did intentionally just to antagonize me.
When I had finished off the last spirit, The first dragon from earlier showed up. At first it looked at me maliciously, but then Ezrin came out and put in a good word for me. Then Ez mounted the dragon and the two took to the skies. Don't ask why, because I don't know.
A little while later Ezrin and the dragon returned with something in its paw. A person. She dropped him and I knew who it was immediately. "Hey it's uhh Soren right?" I said. Rayla and Callum came out of the lair to see what was going on. "Ugh" Rayla grunted "What's he doing here?" "Who cares?" Ez said. He turned to Callum "Help him!" "Oh right breathing!" Callum drew a blue symbol in the air and said "Ventus Spiralus!" Then a pillar of air engulfed the armor clad boy in front of us. He gasped and his eyes shot open. "Oh" he said between breathes "Hey guys" "What are you doing here?" Rayla asked "Hang on" Soren said "Just give me.. a second. Ok, we're all doomed" "What?" I asked. Soren explained to us what he meant. Basically his father was Viren. And he had changed dramatically. They crossed into Xadia little more than a week ago and they had stopped at the kingdom of the sun fire elves. Seriously this keeps getting weirder and weirder. There Viren entered alone. Soren didn't know exactly what happened, when all was set and done. Viren emerged from the ruins of a once great city of light. That had turned to darkness. The sunfire Queen was dead, and Viren had acquired an new fancy stick that transformed his armies from normal men and women. To horrifying monsters. "An army of darkness is coming this way" he said. He looked at Zym "For him" for a moment no one knew where to look. Soren slurped away at the soup that someone made him. Don't know who, but whatever. "I did say doomed" Soren said when he was done.
After that I tried to meditate again to see if I could see this army and where it was. That was a massive waste of time. You see when a demigod meditates, there's a feeling before the soul leaves the body. I didn't get that feeling. I tried for five minutes and nothing. I gave up and decided to stare into the horizon all edgy like. You know. How in the movies, the hero looks into the horizon for no real reason, I tried that. It didn't work
So I decided to find Callum and have him do me a favor. I walked into the courtyard and it looked like he and Rayla were fighting. "So that's it then," Callum said "Just goodbye? I'm supposed to just leave you here to die?! And for what? Pride?" "Pride has nothing to do with this!" Rayla defended herself "Then what is it then!? Redemption? Call it whatever you want Rayla it's just pride!" "I have to do this!" "Because of what your parents did?!" "They fled like cowards when they should have stayed and died for what's right!" "That was 10 years ago! You need to move on!" "If you think I can just move on, then you don't know me at all. You never did" Rayla ran off with tears in her eyes. Callum looked like he wanted to slam something and threw his notebook to the ground. Oh boy.
I walked up to Callum and said "Trouble in paradise?" Trying to sound empathetic. "Hmm?" Callum said "Oh that, it's uhh it's nothing" "Hey relax" I said "I've been your position a thousand times. And you know what the best thing to do is? ... I honestly have no idea" Callum laughed a little. Then he probably noticed the wistful look in my eyes. "Thinking of home?" He asked "No" I said "My girlfriend, Annabeth" It's true. Everyday I'm here I miss her more. It may sound cliche but, I miss her the most. Callum grabbed his notebook, opened it to a blank page, grabbed his pencil thing and asked "What does she look like?" "What?" I asked "What does she look like?" "Why?" "I'm a good artist" "What does that have to do with any- Ohhhh" "Yeah" "Ok. Well..." I described to him Annabeth's face. And after about a minute he was done. He tore out the page and handed it to me. I grabbed the piece of paper and looked down at the drawing on it. "Wow!" I said in shock. This man really does know how to draw. "This is incredible" he was able to draw a amazingly detailed picture of Annabeth, based solely off my description of her. "You're going places man" "Thanks," Callum said "But it's more of a hobby" Then his eyes widened, as if he had just gotten the best idea ever. He grabbed the thing around his neck, that I didn't notice until now. He ran into the dragons nest. I decided not to follow. Whatever he was doing in there, probably had something to do with magic. And I'm the last person to talk to about magic.
Instead, Soren challenged me to a duel. I had nothing else better to do. Plus, I really wanted to kick his ass after last time.
We stood just outside of the lair. Soren raised his sword and I uncapped Riptide. "Woah" Soren said in awe "How did you do that?" I smirked and said "Wouldn't you like to know?" Ezrin was holding Zym in his lap and sitting on a rock to observe the fight. "You got this Soren!" I didn't take it personally. After all I barely know the kid. Soren raised his sword to his head and leveled it at me. He charged at me letting out a battle cry. I side stepped and tripped him. He fell flat on his face. "Ooooo" Ezrin grunted "Congratulations" I said "You have clearly mastered the art of falling on your face" "Shut up" Soren said getting up. He striked but I easily deflected "I don't know why, but I thought you'd be better than a stormtrooper" I taunted. I could see him getting angry. He slashed but I dodged it "Wow" I said "Clearly, they have the highest quality of training in Katalis" "Shut up!" This time I had to parry a couple strikes. "Not bad" He said. I slashed and he parried. We walked in circles, looking for opportunity. Then I found mine. I ran at him and he readied his sword. Then I slid under his legs and swept them. When I was standing over him I had flashbacks to the arena. That, Keith guy. I immediately capped Riptide and put it in my pocket. Then I reached out my hand to pull Soren up. "GG?" I said "What?" He asked. I sighed "No hard feelings?" He nodded and grabbed my hand and I pulled him up.
I looked to the horizon. The sun was setting. Callum and Rayla came down from higher up. "Where were you two love bugs?" I asked "Shut up" Rayla said. Her cheeks blushing. "We were up on the platform up there" Callum said "Wait," Soren said "This place goes higher?" Rayla sighed. "Come on" she gestured "We have to talk" we followed into the court room.
"So" Callum said "We have a decision to make. We can stay here and fight, most likely die. Or we can run. Keep Zym safe" No one knew what to say. But after about a minute of uncomfortable silence, Soren spoke up. "Can I say something?" He asked. Callum nodded. "Ok, look. My dad... Viren. The way he says and does things, you really believe that he's a good man. That what he does is for the good of humanity. Even if it's something horrible" he had a pained expression on his face. He didn't look at anyone. "But now I realize" he continued "A man who convinces you that the murder of a prince and destruction of an entire species is for the greater good, is not a father. That's a villain. My father is a villain. And sure we could run, and maybe we'd be safe for awhile. But he will still chase us. He will hunt us down. Our only chance is to face him, here. The only to stop evil is to look it in the eyes and say 'No more'" Say what you want about the idiot. He gives a great speech. "He's right" I said "I am?" He asked. I sighed "Yes. It may seem hopeless and borderline suicidal. But if I'm going down, I'm going down swinging" "So it's decided?" Callum asked. Everyone nodded in agreement.
Then that Ibis guy flew in and said "The army of darkness will be here by daylight. But there is something else you should see" He gestured for us to follow.
We stepped out into the courtyard and were surprised.
Two women (one elf, one human) in armor stood before us. "Aunt Amaya!" Ezrin said. He and Callum hugged her. When, Amaya saw Rayla, her expression went from sort of mother like to thinking of 15 different ways of killing you. Like the way Athena looks at me. Callum saw this and said "Oh, that stuff at the lodge was a huge misunderstanding. Rayla is actually our friend" I wasn't around during this. Amaya smiled and shook Rayla's hand. The elf sized me up and said "And who is this?" Her tone actually scared me. As if my very existence was an insult. "This is Percy" Rayla said "He's trustworthy" "Hmph" the elf grunted "We'll see" she spoke with an African accent. Amaya walked over to me and made signs with her hands. "She says 'Nice to meet you'" Callum said. Ohhh she's deaf. "Oh" I said "Nice to meet you to" Amaya smiled. I looked to the elf "And you are?" "My name is none of your business, human" she said 'human' as if it was an insult. "Wait a second," Soren said "I know you. You're from the sunfire elf place right?" Rayla eyes widened "You're General-" "Silence, Moonshadow elf!" The general interrupted
(I actually don't know her real name, lol)
"My name is unimportant" she continued "What is important is that!" She pointed to Zym. "The human armies ravaged my home, killed our queen. My sister" she pointed down below "What remains of my army is spoiling for a fight. Even if it's a hopeless one" "How many do we have?" Soren asked "Around 500" The general answered "Against 20,000" Soren continued. "This reminds me of something" I said. Everyone looked at me. "2,000 plus years ago, in my world, the Persians invaded Greece. When it seemed that the nations of Greece would fall to a vengeful and merciless horde, King Leonidas of Sparta rallied his army and went to meet the Persians at Thermopylae. 300 brave Spartans held the line against 10,000 Persians for 3 days. And they only lost due to a traitor. If your people are as ruthless as the Spartans, then we may actually win this fight" "An inspiring tale" the general said unimpressed "Perhaps it's not totally hopeless. But we still require reinforcements"
She was right. My speech about the 300 may have given them some hope, but hope can only do so much. There are so many factors when it comes to battles, and I've been in enough of them to know. Granted that's less than five, but still.
Ezrin ended up riding the dragon from earlier to see if we could expect any air support. Amaya sent a letter to a human kingdom and some soldiers that refused to be part of Viren's crusade.
I doubt either of these will yield significant enough results to turn the tide of battle.
There was a pond at the base of the mountain. I decided it would be a good idea to talk to the water spirit of the pond.
"Who are you?" She asked when I sat next to the pond. I looked closer to see a beautiful water spirit with glowing eyes standing in front of me. "I am Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon" "Who?" "Uhhh, Poseidon. God of the sea and all things water" "Ohhh, Poseidon. What does he want?" "Excuse me?" "I came to this universe to get away from the gods' petty arguments. It's always one thing or the other. 'Ares stepped on my foot' or 'Apollo shot me in the arm' and don't even get me started on their Roman counterparts!" "I won't" "So what is your business here, Percy Jackson?" "Well, a huge army is coming this way. We are vastly outnumbered and we need as much help as we can get" "Let me guess. You need my help and my water so that you can fight as best you can. Then you say that you'll replenish me and that no one will ever bother me again" "Wel-" "You listen here, water boy!" "What did you just call me?" "I've had it with you demigods and you serving your parents will, even when you don't even realize it!" "The gods have nothing to do with this!" "Be that as it may, I'm not helping you, end of conversation" Then she disappeared and some water squirted at me. "FINE!" I yelled "Be like that! I don't need you anyway!"
I stormed off, catching some ugly looks from sunfire elf soldiers.
I decided to catch some sleep. I'm gonna need as much energy as possible if a battle's going down tomorrow.
My dreams were weird. I mean, weirder than normal. In them I was... happy. It's impossible because my dreams are normally bad. But in this one, this one I rather enjoyed. I won't bore you with the details but let's just say me and Annabeth... well I think you know.
I was rudely awakened by Soren telling me that the army of darkness was almost here. Stupid Soren, and stupid army, and stupid universe.
Nevertheless I reluctantly got up and joined Soren and the sunfire elves in a phalanx formation. I looked around. Either our reinforcements aren't here yet or they ignored our pleas altogether.
One thing that did surprise me though was that Rayla wasn't in the phalanx. Soren explained to me that she was the last line of defense should we fail. I tried not to think of what failing would mean.
Around 13 minutes later, past the hills, two horses became visible. Followed by several battalions of transformed soldiers. The phalanx tightened. The mood in the air was clear: They shall not pass.
"Soren" I said "There's a lot of innocent soldiers over there just following orders" "I know" he said.
The enemy soldiers readied their bows and fired multiple volleys of arrows. Thankfully shields can stop arrows.
After the volleys stopped, I saw a girl on one of the horses. She was hardly older than me, but still looked like she was ready to wipe out every single being standing in her way.
Then the real attack came. Thousands and thousands of angry monsters came charging at us with swords, spears, and halberds.
"BRACE YOURSELVES!" The general shouted. The shield formation readied itself for the attack.
When the mob was about 5 yards away, I uncapped Riptide and prepared to take my final stand.
I've heard the sound of shields and swords clash hundreds of times, but you can never really get used to it. The mob was relentless. They slashed with blades, stabbed with spears and clawed with hands. Soon enough our phalanx broke and individual fights broke out.
I stared down a soldier turned monster. She had to be no older than 18. She charged straight at me. I dodged and kicked her down. She jumped back up and started running at me again. I sidestepped and smashed her helmet on a rock.
She'll be fine... right?
Anyway I started moving about the battlefield. Helping in anyway I can.
Then I came across the big one. A man of 15 years of age had been transformed. He was wearing what looked like royal clothes instead of armor. He snarled and charged at me. I quickly dodged out of the way and readied riptide. He continued his attack on me. Clawing away relentlessly. I landed a few strikes on him but I feel like ,to him, they were mere scratches.
He then plowed his shoulder into me. Knocking me down, and sending riptide flying out of my hand.
He stood over me, foaming at the mouth. Then- "FOLMINUS!" The werewolf thing was shot straight off me. I looked over and saw Callum holding out his hand. Then I looked over at the werewolf. He was smoking. I looked back over at Callum "Good shot" "Thanks" then the wolf got back up. I checked my pocket, Riptide hadn't returned to me yet. I put up my fists. Then the monster stood there frozen. He groaned and fell. He had three arrows in his back. I looked to see where the shots had come from. Then a saw a thirteen year old girl in white armor holding a golden bow, standing in a white chariot. Then human soldiers charged into the battlefield. Branding two different insignia's. One that depicted two golden figures. And another that depicted a broken chain.
The human soldiers attacked with the ferocity of demigods. Then I heard a roar over the battle cries.
I looked to the west to see five dragons flying towards the battlefield.
They spewed fire on the enemy and and turned the field of green into a barren wasteland.
For a second I thought they were done. But then the enemy got up. "THEIR FIREPROOF!?!?!?" I shouted "SON OF A BITCH" "Hey language!" Callum said. I ignored him and looked at the battlefield.
At first it looked like our reinforcements were useless. Then I blinked and the battle was turned in our favor.
"YES" I charged back into the battlefield with a newfound adrenaline, uncapped Riptide and proceeded to kick ass and take names.
Then a terrible noise. I and many others looked to see Zym stuck in midair, a purple energy draining his life force.
Then suddenly the energy stopped and two figures fell from the peak of the mountain.
I looked closely to see one of them was Rayla. "NO" I shouted. I looked at the other one. It was the evil wizard from earlier... Viren.
Then a third figure jumped after them. Callum. "NO!" I shouted once more.
Then wings of some sort appeared wear Callum's arms normally were.
Sonofabitch he grew wings.
He swooped down to catch Rayla and let Viren continue to fall. Rayla and Callum shared a kiss Superman and Lois style while Viren fell behind some rocks.
"Oh their going to have to glue you back together!" I yelled "IN HELL!"
Later after the battle, the dragon queen awakened. Great timing I know.
It was a whole thing. The dragon queen was reunited with Zym, elves and humans were standing together as equals.
After that I was standing in the field, looking out to the horizon.
"Hey" Rayla said "There's someone we want you to meet" I follow her and Callum and they led me to this old moonshadow elf holding a staff. "Hello, Perseus" she said "I am Lujanne" "Uhhh" I starred "Nice to meet you" I shook her hand. "I hear you're not from around here" she said "You could say that" "How would you like to return home?" "What?" "It's a simple spell really" I looked at Rayla, Callum, Ez, and Soren. "Is she serious?" I asked "Very" Rayla said
I walked over to my new friends and hugged them each. "It's been an honor" I said to Rayla "Likewise" she said.
"Seriously, consider an art career" I said to Callum "Maybe" he said back.
"Your Majesty" I said to Ezrin "You don't have to do that" he told me.
I saluted Soren "Soldier" he saluted me back "At ease"
Then I walked back to the mage. "I'm ready" "Very well"
She drew a symbol in the air and said an incantation.
Then light glowed around me. I looked at my hand as it turned to light particles.
I looked at them one last time. "See you around"
