Chapter 2 [First date, new enemies]

It's been over than one month since the day vali started coming this school and I am still not sure if she is a devil or not . If she is one then she must be pretty strong hiding her aura like this or she have a sacred gear. Even Azazel said he don't say anything about a silver hair devil, or may be he is hiding it from me I really don't understand what he thinks sometimes. And I really don't want to jump into conclusion.
she is a nice person, and a good friend and practically I am her first friend well that goes for both of us, but I am not going to tell her it would be embarrassing and she would tease me about that to no end.It's first time I enjoy my days in school a year before I was alone the fact that I was popular was all because of my face, and cold attitude. And that's why they started calling me cold prince .
As I was monologuing in my mind a voice came to my ear like a melody and calling my name over and over. "Rio-Rio-Rio, from earth to Rio" I slowly turned my head towards the direction from the voice came and there she is the silver hair girl my seatmate looking into my red eyes by her azure eyes "something the matter vali"I asked her with a smile.
" Finally...I was thinking are you free this weekend " she asked me with a nervous smile "I don't have anything plan, but why are asking, you have something planned" she nodded vigorously " There is a new mall opened in kuoh so i want to go and see and I want you to accompany me, (deep breath) so what do you think "she asked me with stars in her eyes i thought for a few seconds and then decided to go for it " sure, I can go but are you sure you want to go with me"I asked her and she simply nodded "Yes, after all you are my first...friend" "ok, then saturday it is, you can fix the location and time, it's fine with you" i asked her with ans she said "okay, i will tell you time and location in tomorrow or day after tomorrow" i send her a thumbs up towards her direction.
Saturday...huh i will be waiting to see what have you in store for my future God, with that the classes ended up and we said our goodbyes to each other and i walked out of the school but stoped for a brief moment and looked back at her and there she was heading towards somewhere i guess that's her way to her home if i am correct all the rich peoples live in that area well what do i have to with it.

As i reached my apartment I opened the door left my bag in the sofa and gone head straight to the kitchen opened the door of the fridge took out a bottle of cold drink poured it into a glass there was a few slices of cake was there that i brought yesterday so i took two pieces, placed it in the table near the sofa switched on the T.V. and watched a movie of two hours to pass time .
As the movie ended i looked at the clock and it was already past six so i switched off the T. V. and went to the bathroom take out my clothes to take a bath. I walked inside the bathroom turned the shower towards the cold side...I highly anyone would be interested in reading who the oc take a bath so i cut that part) ...
After taking a bath I started making dinner as i was preparing for it a magic circle appear near my ear

"Yes i know it's you Azazel, you want something it's rare of you to call me at night " i asked.
{Jeez can't I just check up on my little kid}I rolled my eyes hearing his reply
"Yeah sure, so what are you doing."
{Working on these damn paperworks, Shemazai is on holiday so i have to do all of this.So how is school any good news.}
I chuckled a bit imagining him doing all those paperwork"The school is ok, I guess. He hasn't awakened the boosted gear ."
{Oh right I forget to mention it, you see there is something going on with some of the Longinus users . you know the tracking system I made to track them}
"Yeah, I know about it and what's going on with the users" I asked him as a matter of fact
{Some of them gone missing on the within a week or so, the system last shown there locations a week ago. So I asked my friends in heaven to check on the said users of location , and even there system can't track them . Wherever they are that place must be protected with a insanely strong barrier}
"And these friends of yours from heaven, who are they"

"I should have known that, Can you tell me which are these Longinus that have gone missing"
{Well that would be True Longinus, Dimension Lost, Annihilation Maker are confirmed and Incinerate Anthem I have doubt it,that Longinus has a mind of his own so it's hard to track it}
"I see, it's really bad 3 high class Longinus and one of them is a holy relic. What do you want me to do about the boosted gear"
{There is nothing we can do without dragging him into this, and i really don't like that idea}Azazel said with a sigh
"We can't always protect him, and i really don't like the idea of a rampaging heavenly dragon in my town or anywhere near a this town"
Azazel said with a bitter chuckle {hehehe...you are right about it well I will talk about this with the heaven and underworld in saturday you wanna join.}
"Nope, already have plans that day with my friend so I am not going to join.Thanks by the way"

Missing Longinus and all three of them are high tier, what are they even planing to do, with those, start a war...naah...most of them are basically human it's not even remotely possible to use those to defeat any of the 3 Fractions, I guess there is no way to find out now better it complete the dinner and eat it.After eating dinner , it was 8 so i thought to take a walk with Jin in the park.
scene change : kuoh's park
As I was heading towards the park, I sensed a familiar presence near the park ' gremory...huh must be a stray devil' with this I dismissed them from my mind. As I reached the park i saw a girl who is probably older than me seating alone in one of the swings , so I just ignore her, I sat on one of the benches a little far from her and watched the stars and Jin was just running around the park . After few minutes i heard the girl saying " you should watch over your dog" I slowly turned my head towards her and there she was with her long, wavy blonde hair , and purple eyes , lightly stroking the head of Jin and when I look at Jin he was...enjoying it I can't believe it he is enjoying what the...this is first he never let strangers touch him " Hlw...boy you there " she was waving her hand towards me 'ooo...crap wake up...Rio...wake up'.
"y-yeah sorry about that, I was just a little surprised that's all" I said rubbing my neck with my left hand she tilted her head and said "surprised...about what" "ugh...Jin never like strangers petting him or even touching him"
"I see" she said with a smile then turn towards Jin and asked " is it true you don't like getting touched by strangers " Jin just tilted her and I was a little surprised is she seriously thinks that Jin can talk "hehehehe" she lightly chuckled and again continued petting him "you don't have to do it, you know"I asked her it's strange that she doesn't mind holding a random dog in her hands and stroking his head " you don't have to worry, I don't mind it and it seems like he is enjoying it to " as I looked towards Jin he really is enjoying it I sighed in defeat "okay,but do tell me if bothers you" she nodded her head sideways " I told you it's okay" "But, stills-" "okay, fine i will tell you" i nodded and turned my head towards the star.
'Clear sky with hundreds and thousands of stars it really is the best part of night' as I was in my thoughts I sensed few devil's signatures near the park ' I don't sense any members of Gremory or Sitri ' again a stray devil ' "Jin ,it's time let's go" as I said that Jin jumped from her lap walked towards me as I looked towards the girl she was lightly disappointed "you really like dogs huh? " I asked her she nodded with a smile"yup,but I guess this is goodbye " and she waved her hand towards Jin , ' what a bother ' I looked at Jin and his head is slightly low I sighed and lifted him up and walked towards the girl and "here, you can have him for a while I will be going to a friend's house so I will leave him in your care ok " she smiled at me and Jin just barked "is it okay, leaving your dog with a stranger" I just simply nodded and said "don't worry , seems like Jin likes you so I don't have anything to worry about, I will come within fifteen minutes or so will it be fine she nodded and said " yes it will be fine " I just smiled and leave them in the park.
"So here you are devils" as I was searching for them for a while and ended in a warehouse "sigh...what can you even expect from a stray devil" as I walked inside the warehouse it was dark the only light source was the moon light coming from windows and the door I opened "okay Mr. stray devil I know you are here so why not come out" as I said few empty oil containers came towards me flying in the air.
With a "snap" I made few spears out of shadow and sent straight towards the oil containers ,as they collided my spears completely destroyed the containers "kaah.kaah.kaah seems like I can't live in this town peacefully" "you killed your master and now talking about living peacefully sorry devil but you have to die now " as I said he came straight towards me sigh "snap " several chains made out of shadow hold the stray devil in a place"what the...who the hell are you, you are not a devil"I shake my head in denial "I am a human and I really don't have time so I am killing you" as my chains are holding him I created few spears and flicked my finger towards him, he tried to get free but spears ended up Impaling him and the devil ended up dead.
As I was going to go back , I found a black cat looking at me from the gate, I smiled at her slowly walking towards her and gently picking her up with my hands" hello miss kitty did the bad stray devil scared you "I asked her even after knowing that the cat won't answer
"Nyaaaaaaa~~"
"I see it seems like you are brave kitty don't worry ok I have taken care of the big bad devil"
"nyaaaaaaaaaaaaaa~"
"okay, then let's go away from here " I ended up carrying the cat from there 'I have to found a place to leave her...yup the fountain near the park will be a good place.' As I reached the fountain I put down the cat "okay, here you go bye bye".
" nyaa" she slowly walked away from me , so I started walking towards the park which was near the fountain, as I reached the park I saw the same girl playing with Jin "looks like you are having fun" I said while walking towards them "yes" she replied happily "I see, it's getting dark huh...shouldn't you go home I mean it would probably be nine right now" she waved her hands sideways "I live with my friends so there is nothing to worry about, but what about you" .
"I practically live alone with Jin so I don't have anything to worry about" I said with a smile. "but, I guess I should be going it's getting dark" she asked me with a amused smile "ara, a big boy like you shouldn't be afraid of darkness".
"hehehe--hahahahahaha" I laughed a little with amusement "S-s-sorry teasing me huh..." I get a little close and said " or are you worried about a stranger like me" she waved her hand a little " you are still younger than me so I should be worried about you and I don't think you are a bad person ".
" openly admitting that you are older than me, I thought girls don't like talking about their age" I asked her with a raised eyebrow. "well, I don't mind, and you should stop searching it on the internet." she replied with a grin "how can you say that I was searching about something like that in the internet" she giggled a little "just a hunch" she replied with a grin again " is this hunch of yours is the so called woman's intuition " her grin Widened even more "well, well look at you I thought you never talked with a girl" I pouted a little "you know it's not good to say that to a boy even for me it hurts to admit that I haven't talked with many girls"the grin was still there on her face " hehehehe...sorry, but you haven't asked me my name so I just thought "
Oooo so that's why "I thought you didn't want to introduce yourself? " I know it's a total lie I can't just ask a girl's name who I even don't know, can I..."well normally i don't give away my name to strangers,but I can make a exception for you"she answered with a teasing smile .Tilting my head I asked "exception for me, why" she pointed her finger towards Jin "because you let me play with him, and you are kind a cute a little...but still your are cute" I blinked once,then twice,then thrice "huh...
...seriously that's all it takes to ask a girls name" she smiled so serenely that I almost blushed"For me yes, now before I give you my name care to tell me yours" I shrugged "Rio" she nodded a little before standing up "okay Rio , you can call me Fianna " I raised my head to show her my smile " good to meet you Fianna" she slowly walked towards the exit before glancing towards me and waved her hands towards me "see ya, Rio" I also waved towards her saying "yeah, see ya" she walked out of the park.
"Fianna...devil huh" I smirked "this town is slowly filling up with devils, because of the boosted gear or sisters of Maou's Or something else, the last thing I want right now is the white dragon to come here , better go home"
2 days after
Right now I, Rio waiting for a certain someone to show up as I was standing near the new mall that opened in this town as i turned towards the street clock it was 10:15 in the morning ' she surely taking her sweet time to come' waiting for her i looked towards the mirror of the mall reflecting my image currently I am wearing black jeans with red t-shirt and a locket that has a red liquid covered with ice given to me by a certain someone.
"Sorry...for coming late, Rio" as i looked at direction from the voice came I found a silver haired girl wearing a white T-shirt covering her hands up to the wrist with blue jeans. " Yeah you really took your time coming here Vali,...but you are here so it doesn't matter "hearing my answer she pouted while mumbling something about " you don't have to be rude, you know " I chuckled a little "sorry, have to say after all you did make me wait, so deal with it" i said with a smile "i did say sorry" she mumbled under her breath ' I guess taking this joke any further will be bad' "jeez, i was just messing with you come on we have a mall to conquer" i said in a joking manner she chuckled a bit " yeah, let's go conquer~ it~~" I can only smile.
After a several eternity later~~
"Haah... I can't... haah... believe it... haaah... this damn mall...haaah...is so big" I said while taking deep breath it took us nearly three hours to cover the mall and the most exhausting was going with vali as she was basically jumping from one store to another. "How...how can it be that you are not exhausted even a little, I asked vali who is sitting beside me " It wasn't that exhausting" she said with a smile, she wasn't looking even a little exhausted I looked at her before saying "Because you were enjoying it...damn it"
"hehehehehehe...that's what you get for being a rude with a girl during a date" i sighed again hearing it for the nth time " For the nth time it is not a date " she give me a dry look
"fine ,let's go back i decided to buy something that was in the store on third floor" I gasped hearing her "okay-okay-okay it's a date...a date happy but please i am not going in the third floor it was crowded plus the only thing there was to buy was undergarments, swimsuits do i have to add that it was for girls" she smirked hearing my pleading "see it wasn't that hard, but seeing you flustered was fun" she said with a smirk , i frowned after hearing it " you don't even have an idea of how I am feeling "
she looked at me while coming closer and closer "something the matter vali" she shack her head in deniel "no just your eye colour " I tilted my head she explained with a smile " I haven't seen anyone who has red eyes like the yours,just like the colour of blood",I see never thought about such things red eyes just like the colour of blood ,"May be because I am special~~" i said in a joking manner with a smile she chuckled a little before saying "you think you are special" she asked with raising her eyebrow , i shrugged "who knows, maybe I am or maybe I am not. She pouted I guess my response didn't pleased " come on, how can i answer a question whose answer i don't know " she put her finger in her chin in a thinking posture ,after a while thinking"How about you find the answers" she asked with a smirk, I rolled my eyes hearing her answer "don't talk like an idiot" she frowned a bit "hmph...you are the one who is being an idiot" I don't understand how can I be the an idiot "your reasoning ".
She stand up looking at me and said " because you are one, now let's go to the restaurant I don't know about you but I can use some food"I nooded before following her"

As we finished our lunch in the restaurant inside of the mall's 5th floor, the food was really nice. "The food was good, it's been a while since I have eaten in restaurant" I said while walking with vali while she nodded looking at the sun which is going to set as we are standing near the fountain which was a little far from the mall. "yeah...and so the day ends" she said with a small sad smile "you enjoyed the day" I asked which she nodded "yes...it's been a while since I spend times with someone" I smiled hearing her response "I see, so what now" I asked her "Question Time" I raised my eyebrow hearing her response "what question? " she showed me a sly grin "who are you" a tried to suppress the grin that was going to form in my face but failed utterly "hahahahaaahaaahaaa...it's seems that fun time is over" i said with a grin while she responded with her own grin "yup...no hidding now Rio~"
As i was going to answer her, a new voice came from behind us "What do we have here a devil and a human going on a date" as the moment the person said those words we looked towards the person and there was a older boy probably in his early twenties standing with a grin on his face with another boy who was wearing a hood with glaces. "I understand you couldn't find a girl for yourself, but don't disturb others date it's not nice you know" I said with a my own grin as his grin falters a bit while vali was chuckling "I guess you find out who I was huh...Rio" I glancee towards her showing her a tooth smile "I have my own theories...but he helped a little to confirm it, thanks man" I answered her honestly "Welcome young boy, but we have something to talk any good place you know" I looked towards Vali which shw nodded, i looked at them "Follow us, but before that introduce yourself as it stands you know about us but we don't know about you" he nodded to himself "Cao–Cao that's my name and here is my partner Georg" i frowned after hearing there names , signalling them to follow.
As we reached the park, we were luck as there was no one there i turned towards them "So what do you need Cao-cao" i looked towards him while vali was standing besides me "Let's get to the topic as both of you have Longinus, we came here to recruit you in our group" i frowned hearing what he have to say with a little surprise that Vali also possess a Longinus while Vali was also a little surprised hearing that i possess a Longinus "It seems both of you don't know about other's Longinus why don't we show each other what we got " So these guys also possess Longinus'es huh... "Why should we join you, there is nothing for us" Vali asked while frowning , cao-cao chuckled hearing her question "Devil's always greedy...don't you want to rule the underworld just like your ancestors used to after alll you are the-" as he was going to say something a demonic blast passed his left cheek bruising a little I looked towards her "That's enough we are leaving" she grabbed my hand started dragging me outside the park "hey stop...at least wait a second" i told her to wait buy she wasn't listening i sighed mentally "Vali" I said strenly, she looked at me "what, don't tell me you are going to join them" as i was going to answer her "Georg put up a barrier" as he said a barrier erceted covering the whole park as i looked at them "I guess we have to force you to come with us" i frowned a little hearing that .
Suddenly a bright light come from his hand, slowly the light faded but as i glanced towards the spear he was holding "This is the True Longinus" he said with a grim while vali flinched a little looking at the True Longinus "so you are going to force us...huh" I said while narrowing my eyes "Yes, but if surrender now you don't have to go through the trouble" I smirked hearing him "well then, Vali you ready...as the saying goes ladies first so i will let you chose what you want to do "Vali looked at me with a smirk.'Ho-ho look at her she must be strong then'." Fight" she said only one word to make it clear I simply looked at our opponent "Look's like we are going to fight, so I, will be your opponent cao-cao. Let's go jin" as I give the command to Jin he comes out of my shadow.
3rd Pov~~~
"Vali, take care of the other one it's a holy spear so i will take care of it " Rio said without removing his eyes off from his opponent "You sure, you are still a human" Vali asked Rio as she was worried about her friend "Don't worry, my sacred gear was meant to fight his"as Rio assured her,opening his hand as a sword that was coming from the shadow formed. It was more of a katana than a sword , as the handle was pure black and the blade was black with red lining" So your friend is going to fight or what " as Rio asked cao-cao "He is more of a support type so he won't participate if you want you both can gang up on me" he said with a smirk that irritated Rio "Tch, cocky bastard you think that spear of yours is the strongest Longinus... huh" Rio said while cao-cao nodded in response"yes indeed...now let's fight"
Both of them dashed towards each other holding their respective weapons in their hand, as Cao-cao thrusted his spear but it was blocked by Rio's sword as he pushed the spear away from him Rio run towards cao-cao and slashed at him which was blocked by the spear Rio summoned another sword that was made up of shadow and slashed at cao-cao which he blocked by the edge of his spear which give Rio time to slammed his feat in hia gut pushing him backwards "agh...dammit" as cao-cao let out a angry growl " what's the matter can't handle a simple kick" Rio asked with a smirk "you call that a simple kick...while using magic" cao-cao retorded with a frown cao-cao used his spear to slash at him which was easily blocked by Rio's sword as he back down a little few spears of shadow appears besides Rio as he thrusted his hand towards cao-cao seeing this he said "extend" with response to cao-cao the spear increased his length destroying the spear and was going to hit Rio but the moment it was going to make contact Rio vanishes from their sights startling vali and made cao-cao frown. Cao-cao tried to find him but it was no use.
Suddenly a voice came from behind him saying "If you rather not see your comrade die leave this place immediately and never come back" Cao-cao looked towards the direction that the voice came and found out that Rio was placed his sword near Georg's neck as georg was binded with chains made up of shadow "you coward,let him go! " cao-cao yelled at Rio " I said leave, right now i don't have time to deal with you" cao-cao didn't have a choice reluctantly he let go of his spear making the spear vanish as Rio let Georg go Cao-cao didn't try to attack them as he knew if Rio wanted he could have killed georg so he didn't do anything rash "it is not the end weilder of Canis Lykaon i will make you pay! " georg said with a angry look while yelling at Rio "get lost, i won't be lenient nest time" Rio said with a serious look without saying anything cao-cao left with Georg as the later created some kind of mist to teleport themselves,Rio released his breath. While everything was happening Vali was standing there observed the whole fight "why did you do that" she asked with a serious expression "The fight was going to last long more than I expected, i didn't want that " Rio explained himself, "Is that all" vali asked which Rio nodded "yes, although there is another reason" vali narrowes her eyes and asked "which is ?" Rio looked at the sky thinking about what to do, after a while Rio said "Tell Rias Gremory and Sona Sitri that I want to talk to them tomorrow, tell them it's important and can't be wait" Rio said still looking at the stars "Why do you think they will listen to me " she asked me.
Rio smiled at her "still playing hide and seek, Valerian Lucifer, great grand daughter of the original Lucifer and grand daughter of the first super devil Rizevim Livan Lucifer, and this generation...White dragon emperor" Vali was surprised "H-how do you know" Rio chuckled before saying "Only one Longinus is with the devils right now and that is Divine Dividing which is wielded by the grand daughter of Lucifer" Rio explained with a smile "so you knew all along" vali asked still uncertain what to make off this "Nope, the moment he said you possess a Longinus that was the time when I realised, but when do you find about me " Rio asked remembering that he didn't know how she knew something was wrong with him"Ooo...that's a member of my peerage found you fighting a stray devil in the middle of a night "Rio blinked his eyes as he remembered that " Don't tell me that black cat is the one" vali chuckled hearing what Rio said "Yup...although she won't like the fact you called her 'black cat', she might come and bite~ you~" she said with a sly smile Rio rolled his eyes"not interested, can't believe someone found me out that easily" Rio said with a sad smile "don't be like that, she is really skilled in hiding her presence" vali said to cheer him up, which made Rio nodd his head. "Just make sure you tell them, ok" Rio said vali nodded "okay, now let's go home, it's getting dark ", " okay".

Rio was currently inside the grigori Institute heading towards Azazel. Reaching his room Rio knocked on the door "KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK" after a while a voice came from Inside "whose there" Rio sighed "it's me Azazel, it's important", "ooo...Rio come inside". What Rio get inside of the room he was taken back a little, 4 persons in hologram standing plus Azazel with a beautiful looking girl ,who was in her early twenties with purple hair and golden eyes smiling at him. Returning his gaze to the other 4 there was a young man in his twenties with crimson hair and green eyes near him was another man who was in his late twenties with silver hair and beard with blue hazel eyes,the last man was also In his twenties with blonde hair green eyes with a kind smile, while the last was a lady in her twenties with same blonde hair and green eyes with a gentle smile on her beautiful face.
"I didn't know you were busy Azazel" Rio said while pointing his fingers at the hologram , which Azazel dismissed with his hand "well...i was just talking with them about the missing sacred gears, why don't I introduce you" Azazel said while pointing his finger to them he said "The red one is the current Lucifer Sirzechs, besides him is the son of original Lucifer, Rizevim and those two are the Archangels of heaven Michael and Gabriel~" Rio nodded while looking at them "Forgive my rudeness the great devil kings and the seraphs I didn't know you were here, I should have brought some presents ,for such great beings " Rio said with a smile with a little tint of sarcasm in the end which made all the males to chuckle while the female giggle hearing such a response "It's looks like you raised another boy, just like you...huh Azazel" said Sirzechs with a smile "of course... I thought him everything he needs know to be like me
*smack*..ouch what was that for Pememue" Azazel said while rubbing his head which is swollen because of getting a smack from Penemue "He doesn't need to become like you...no that's wrong no one needs to become like you, you alone are enough of a trouble for us" Penemue said with an angry expression which made everyone chuckle while Azazel was muttering about something but no one paid him any heed "It is nice to meet you Rio, brother Azazel was telling us about you" Gabriel said in a lovely voice with a smile, Rio simply nodded with a smile "So what do you want to talk about, Azazel said you have something to talk about" this time Rizevim said with stern voice and a serious face "yeah, about that I guess Azazel told all of you about the missing Longinus" to which all four of them nodded "Today evening while i was out with a friend who was also a wielder of a Longinus was approached by a man who has the True Longinus while his partner who was a young boy who i suppose is the wielder of dimension lost" the room was silent hearing Rio's story with great seriousness...
