Abigail took a deep breath and managed to gain some strength to take a look around at where her sister pulled her to.

it was beautiful, there was a huge central console covered with buttons and levers, and there were sticky notes placed everywhere covered in the weird scribbles. the walls were covered in these brass hexagons. it was just magnificent.

Abigail could just about hear the conversation going on behind her and she could feel the doctor's gaze on her back as she looked around the room with a slight smirk on his face

she quickly turned back around to reengage with the conversation between Rose and the Doctor by the sound of it Rose was distraught with what happened with Mickey and that his head was now melting over the console and the Doctor didn't seem bothered.

this made the Doctor take action

"Oh, no, no, no, no, no!"

Abigail could feel the machine begin to hum under her feet and it felt comforting, like coming home after a long day, she ran her hand along the massive beams that framed the console room.

"What're you doing?" Abigail asked

"Following the signal. It's fading. Wait a minute, I've got it. No, no, no, no, no, no, no! Almost there. Almost there. Here we go!"

The Tardis lands and the Doctor runs for the door followed by Abby

"you can't go out there. It's not safe" Rose shouted.

as they exited the tardis they realised they were not in the same place as before instead of the pizza restaurant they were not on the north bank of the Thames next to the RAF monument.

"I lost the signal, I got so close." the Doctor huffed

"We've moved. Does it fly?" Rose looked around confused

"Disappears there and reappears here. You wouldn't understand."

Abigail chuckled to herself, this man thinks he's so clever.

"If we're somewhere else, what about that headless thing? It's still on the loose." Rose queried

"it melted with the head. Are you going to witter on all night?" you could tell the Doctor was starting to get frustrated. Abigail took this moment to take a slow walk a bit further down the road. Abigail could hear rose go on about how she is going to have t Mickey's mother what happened to him and how the Doctor obviously does care and so on.

Abigail could just hear the doctor has started shouting back at Rose now stating how he's trying to save everyone's life.

Abigail decided it was time to walk back and try and defuse the situation.

"If you are an alien, how come you sound like you're from the North?"

the Doctor turned to her and replied "Lots of planets have a north."

"This, this living plastic. What's it got against us?"

"Nothing. It loves you. You've got such a good planet. Lots of smoke and oil, plenty of toxins and dioxins in the air, perfect. Just what the Nestene Consciousness needs. Its food stock was destroyed in the war, all its protein plants rotted, so Earth, dinner!"

"Any way of stopping it?" Rose asked

The Doctor holds up a tube of blue liquid.

"Anti-plastic."

"anti-plastic." both Abby and Rose repeated

"Anti-plastic. But first I've got to find it. How can you hide something that big in a city this small?"

Rose and the Doctor continued their conversation and tried to figure out where the transmitter was whilst Abigail just stood trying to take it all in.

it wasn't till they run off that Abigail snapped back to reality. as they run off ahead Abigail felt 2 arms behind her grab her and cover her mouth before she could scream for help it all went black.

after what felt like hours Abigail started to wake up, still groggy she straightened her back and tried to look around. out of the corner of her eyes, she could see Mickey crouched up again the bars across the room from her.

"MICKEY!!"

before he could answer arms grabbed her and dragged her to the lower level. in front of this big pit full of this unknown substance. again a searing pain spread to Abigail's head but this time she cried out in pain unable to contain it and unable to concentrate on what was happening around her.

the next thing she knows is the doctor is standing next to her being held back by 2 mannequins.

"you okay, what happened"

"I'm fine just a migraine, I don't know the last thing I remember is that I was about to follow you and then woke up down here"

the Doctor then continued his conversation with what he called the Nestene Consciousness, he tried to reason with but it found the vial of anti-plastic and became afraid.

Abigail was forced to her feet and held tightly next to the Doctor. the Doctor continued to explain

"That was just insurance. I wasn't going to use it. I was not attacking you. I'm here to help. I'm not your enemy. I swear, I'm not. What do you mean?"

A door slides back to reveal the Tardis.

"No. Oh, no. Honestly, no. Yes, that's my ship. That's not true. I should know, I was there. I fought in the war. It wasn't my fault. I couldn't save your world! I couldn't save any of them!"

Abigail looked at the doctor seeing the sadness and desperation in his eyes. Abigail tried to distract the Doctor from whatever memory he was reliving in his brain

"What's it doing?!

"It's the Tardis! The Nestene's identified its superior technology. It's terrified. It's going to the final phase. It's starting the invasion! Get out,! Just leg it now!"

Abigail could hear rose in the background phoning their mum and shouting at her to just get home but the phone cut off.

"Get out, all of you! Just get out! Run!" the Doctor shouted at them

"The stairs have gone," Abigail advised the doctor as she was looking around for a way out.

the Autons try to push the Doctor and Abigail into the vat. Rose and Mickey run to the Tardis. and find out they are unable to enter

they could hear Rose shouting down that she hasn't got a key whilst Mickey was shouting that they are all gonna die. Abigail turned to the Doctor with a small smile on her face and tried to give him an encouraging nod to let him know it was all alright.

"No!" the Doctor shouted

Rose stands up and looks at the Doctor, then runs around the chamber.

"There's nothing you can do! stop Rose"

Rose took a deep breath and said

"I've got no A-Levels, no job, no future.

But I tell you what I have got. Jericho Street Junior School under 7s gymnastic team. I've got the bronze!"

Rose grabbed an axe and slammed it against the chain to free it. she takes firm hold. She runs and swings out along the side of the catwalk, kicking the two Autons into the vat and the other tumble away. The second one also drops the vial of anti-plastic into it. The golden Nestene screams as it starts to turn blue.

"Rose!" they all shouted.

the Doctor and Abigail grab her as she swings back. so happy to see and be with her sister Abigail and Rose embrace each other.

the Doctor turns to both of them and says

"Now we're in trouble."

the 3 of them managed to find a way back to the tardis. explosions going off all around the room. the Doctor quickly unlocks the tardis and they all go inside and the tardis dematerialises.

The Tardis materialises on the Embankment by a row of shuttered kiosks and Mickey runs out, terrified. behind him out walk the Doctor, Rose and Abby. Abigail quickly calls their mum. she answers

"don't go out of the house. It's not safe. There were these things, and they were shooting! And the.." Abigail hangs up the phone and chuckles to herself.

Rose runs over to Mickeys and starts teasing him about how much help she was.

the Doctor walks up behind Abby. he speaks to both Abby and Rose.

"Nestene Consciousness? Easy."

"you were useless in there. You'd be dead if it wasn't for me." Rose stated

"Yes, I would. Thank you. and you okay, thing looked a bit rough back there." looking straight at Abigail

"seriously guys I'm fine just a little headache is all" Abigail offered a reassuring smile to the Doctor and Rose. the Doctor continue

"Right then, I'll be off, unless, er, I don't know, you could come with me. This box isn't just a London hopper, you know. It goes anywhere in the universe free of charge."

"Don't. He's an alien. He's a thing."Mickey interrupted terror still evident in his voice.

"He's not invited. What do you think? You could stay here, fill your life with work and food and sleep, or you could go anywhere both of you."

" Is it always this dangerous?" Rose asked

"Yeah."

"Yeah, I can't. I've er, I've got to go and find my mum and someone's got to look after this stupid lump, so."

"what about you Abby? you fancy it?"

"I'd love to but I can't, I have a life here friends and family... I just can't... im.sorry."

"Okay. See you around." the Doctor turned around and walked back into the tardis, the most magnificent noise erupted as it dematerialised.

both Rose and Abby took a deep breath. you can see the longing in both of their eyes as they both truly wanted to go with the Doctor but both knew they could leave their life behind

"Rose, if u wanted to go. I would look out for everyone as much as I can, you know that right. I am the older sister. remember. "

"I know, it would be hard you know leaving it all behind and all of you"

"I know I get it"

"Anyway, I think somebody had a little crush I could see the way you. looked at him"

"enough of that you, come on let's go"

they both go to grab Mickey to help him up.

as they begin to walk off the Tardis materialises again and the doctor pops his head out.

"by the way, did I mention it also travels in time?"

Rose looked at Abby with a grin on her face, Abby's stomach dropped as she knew this would never have been her chance, this would be something for her little sister to experience. She said the one word she deeply wished Rose would have said to her.

"go"

Rose looked at her and her grin grew bigger. Rose turned to Mickey and said

"thanks"

"for what"

"exactly"

she kiss Mickey and ran straight to the tardis not taking a second look back.

the Doctor looked at Abby and mouthed.

"you sure"

"no, but I can't leave him behind. thank you though and look after her and come home often. please"

a tear rolled down Abby's cheek as she knew the opportunity had passed her by as the Doctor nodded and closed the door and the Tardis dematerialised for the final time that day.

"let's go" Mickey whispered to Abby.

"let's go home"
