Gregory remained in the office, fiddling with his Faz-Watch. There are various features within the Faz-Watch, including the messaging system and the "Walkie-Talkie" feature Vanessa mentioned earlier.
But the most interesting and potentially useful part is the security camera feature. Gregory smiled as he pressed it, and he saw various parts of the basement from its security cameras.
Woah. Cool! Now I can find wherever that rabbit lady or the robots are, and I can probably find a good place to hide with this as well! he thought to himself with a smile.
"Hey…maybe I have access to the rest of the building's cameras." he said as he fiddled around with the Faz-Watch. However, he couldn't get to them for now, making him frown.
"Aww. I guess it depends on the room I'm in or something. I gotta ask Vanessa when she gets back." he said to himself before he continued to search around the basement through the cameras.
After a while, Gregory noticed that one of the cameras had detected movement. He pressed the button, and the screen showed the area where the elevator was, and what Gregory saw made his blood run cold…
It was another person, and judging by the body frame, it appeared to be a woman. But the most defining feature was the suit she was wearing. It was designed based on a rabbit, with a makeshift mask of a smiling bunny, red eyes, and a cottontail. But what made Gregory even more fearful was the giant butcher knife she was carrying.
Suddenly, the screen began to glitch up when she skipped joyfully away from the elevator. The screen started to flicker red, and there was a low humming sound. Gregory began to panic, and he immediately exited the security camera screen and tapped on the communication section.
"Vanessa! It's her. The rabbit lady! Please, come back!" he pleaded. However, from the other end, all he could hear was static.
"Vanessa?! Vanessa, please!" he pleaded. No response. Just static. Gregory groaned in frustration and fear.
"Come on!" he said as he kicked a nearby desk.
"Oh, Gregory!"
A woman's slightly distorted voice made him freeze up. He turned behind him, knowing the direction of the voice. It's not far away. Gritting his teeth, Gregory rushed out from the other door and back into the hallway.
Using the Faz-Watch's security cameras, Gregory tried to figure out where the rabbit lady was so that he would avoid her.
"Come over here, Gregory. I know we had a…rough, first impression. But I swear, that was an accident. I just lost my temper. I'm sorry about that." the rabbit lady's voice called out.
Like hell you are, you crazy witch! Gregory growled out as he continued moving around the basement to avoid her.
At last, he had arrived at the elevator. He gasped in delight before rushing toward the elevator, managing to open the door. As Gregory waited, he heard quiet chuckling from not far behind him. He turned around and saw the rabbit lady slowly leaning in from a corner.
"There you are…" she purred.
Gregory screamed in fright as he stepped back. The rabbit lady then skipped towards him as if she never had a care in the world. Just then, the elevator door opened, and Gregory wasted no time rushing inside. He quickly pressed the 1st-floor button and pressed himself against the wall, only being able to stand there helplessly as the rabbit lady got closer. The doors began to close, and Gregory hoped they would close just in time, like with Chica before.
Alas, it was not to be.
The rabbit lady stuck her hand inside, preventing the door from closing completely. Gregory could feel himself freezing up in fear as the rabbit lady walked inside.
"That was close. Now…" she said before approaching Gregory, grabbing him by the throat, picking him up, and pinning him against the wall. The doors, as if whatever deity was watching had a wicked sense of humor, finally closed at this point, leaving the two alone.
Gregory struggled as he grabbed the rabbit lady's hand, trying uselessly to free himself. Meanwhile, the rabbit lady hummed to herself, tilting her head as she examined Gregory.
"Beautiful. You are something special, Gregory. Even without the interest of my Boss, you've caught my eye so easily. With how you've been avoiding my sight for so many weeks, it shows just how smart and determined you are. Oh, it's so much fun!" she went with a giggle before she noticed the band-aid on his cheek. The rabbit lady pouted as she used her other hand to reach for it.
"You don't need this." she purred as she violently yanked the band-aid off, making Gregory yell in pain and exposing the cut.
"There. I wanna see the marks I leave behind on you." she teased.
"Ack! W-What are you?!" Gregory whimpered, legs feebly kicking her chest to no avail. The rabbit lady simply laughed.
"Let's see now," she began, ignoring his question, as she pulled out her knife again. Gregory gasped in fright, which was becoming difficult as the grip on his throat tightened. The blade gently ran over his stomach, threatening to cut the shirt and the flesh beneath.
"Not enough to kill…just enough to make you suffer. The Boss wants you alive, but in agony. Just like with the other children beforehand." she cooed softly.
Gregory, at this point, instinctively screamed in fear. This only made the rabbit lady laugh.
"Oh, Gregory, my dear. If there's one thing my boss and I have in common…we both LOVE screamers!" she said as she then positioned her knife to plunge it into his stomach.
With quick thinking, Gregory reached for the masked face and jabbed his hand towards the left eye. It hit directly where the person's eye would be, and the rabbit lady screamed in pain as she stepped back, dropping both the knife and the boy, before covering her masked face with her hands, groaning in pain.
At this point, Gregory noticed that the elevator doors had opened, revealing the first floor. Taking the opportunity, he rushed forward, pressed a button that led to the 6th floor, and ran out. Turning around, he saw the rabbit lady pulling her hand out from underneath her mask and turning to leave.
"Oh, a Round Two? Well, if that's what you want!" she taunted as she reached for her knife. However, both of the doors began to close by this point. By the time the rabbit lady noticed, the door had closed on her.
The rabbit lady slammed her hand on the door, growling to herself at her prey getting away. She then pressed her head against the door. She shook her head and took in several deep breaths.
"You got cocky."
Another voice made her jolt up. This time, it was a raspy male voice. The rabbit lady turned around and saw a glitchy manifestation of a humanoid rabbit with yellow coloring, a purple, starry vest, and a purple bowtie.
"Oh, Boss. I uh…didn't expect to see you so soon." the rabbit lady spoke, this time in a more fearful voice. The golden rabbit, or The Boss, crossed his arms.
"I've always been a part of you, just like how we're both a part of the woman you share this body with. Matter of fact: I created you, in a way. Now, to ask you…why haven't you maimed him yet?" he asked, although the rabbit could tell it was more of a rhetorical question.
So, she said nothing.
The Boss then approached her and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Vanny. You were so efficient with killing the previous children for our plans. Why did you act so cocky with this one? It would jeopardize our entire mission!" he reprimanded.
"I-I know, Boss. I'm sorry. He's just so…different. Something about him makes it so much fun to hunt him down. He's special." she explained. The Boss hummed and nodded.
"He is. I remember this one girl back in my days. She was a special girl; putting up a fierce fight, and it enticed me to make her agony last…and it is what prevented me from going to hell, and what got me trapped in my own nightmare! If it wasn't for this blasted company, I would've been stuck in that nightmare." he reminded. The rabbit lady winced as she knew who he was talking about.
Cassidy…
"Vanny. It's nice to have fun when you do your work. But you must not forget to do your job and doing it well. Understood?" The Boss growled. The rabbit lady nodded as she stood up. By this point, the door opened, revealing the 6th floor.
"I understand, boss." she said as she walked over to the button set.
"Good. And remember, don't get cocky. That was MY mistake." The Boss reminded before dissipating as well. The rabbit lady nodded as she pressed the button for the 1st floor.
"I won't. It will be fun this time…" she purred as the door closed in on her.
Meanwhile, while the elevator was going up, Gregory sighed in relief. He felt his stomach, where the knife scraped against it. There wasn't any cut, thankfully. But the boy was nonetheless shaken up.
"Oh god. That was…that was too close." he said as he felt his cheek, wincing a bit when he felt the cut on his cheek. Then, he activated his Faz-Watch and tried to contact Vanessa.
"Vanessa! Please pick up! T-The rabbit lady almost got me. I need you, please!" he said into the Faz-Watch. Sadly, only static was still audible. Gregory groaned and kicked the ground in frustration.
"Come on!" he yelled, clenching his fists in anger. Then, he took in deep breaths to calm himself down.
Unfortunately, he would not be getting any rest, as he soon heard heavy footsteps from below. He looked at the lobby below, and he thought he saw another animatronic rushing into view.
Glamrock Freddy!
Panicking, Gregory covered his mouth and searched for a place to hide.
That was when he noticed that the door to the Superstar Daycare Center was partially open. Gasping in delight, he rushed towards the door and ran inside before Freddy could spot him.
Rushing through the empty hallway, Gregory noticed a large automatic roll-up door. Rushing closer to it, the door rolled up, revealing a rather bright and colorful room inside. There were desks with numbers on them, large screens showing a cartoon sun and moon character, and a large statue of both the sun and moon character striking in a pose. Gregory panted as he rushed past them, trying to find a way to just get away from the animatronics and the rabbit lady.
That was when he noticed a small hole in the wall below the glass. It was a slide with yet another colorful sign that read,
Slide Into Fun!
Gregory looked unsure about whether it was necessary to go down there. But the idea of the rabbit lady or the animatronics going after him filled him with dread. He crawled inside and began to slide down. The speed and colors inside would've made it fun for Gregory were it not for the danger he was in.
Eventually, Gregory landed inside a massive ball pit. Raising to the surface, Gregory looked around the room: many rainbow drawings, the wall showing a bright blue sky drawing with a bird, several stars and clouds, and another drawing of the top of the tower with an open window. On his left was a large play structure with tunnels, slides, and bridges.
"Wow. This place is pretty big for a daycare center." he muttered as he wallowed through the ball pit.
Suddenly, he heard,
"Hoo hoo hoo!"
Gregory jerked his head up and gasped to see yet another animatronic standing in front of the tower in a pose. It appeared to resemble the sun statue and cartoon he saw earlier. The sun animatronic then jumped off from the tower and dove into the ball pit.
Panicking at the sight, Gregory moved through the pit, hoping to get away from there as soon as possible. This was futile as he was immediately picked up by the sun animatronic.
"Hello, new friend! You're sure up late; are we having a sleepover? Where are all your friends?" asked the sun animatronic in a hyper yet friendly manner as he carried Gregory out of the ball pit. Placing the boy down, the sun animatronic playfully spoke to him.
"We can finger paint, tell stories, drank fazzie Faz-drinks till our heads explode! Hehehe!" it said as it danced around a bit. Gregory felt uncomfortable, so he stepped back.
"Uh, I-I'm good. Anyway, I'm too old for those types of games." he muttered. The sun animatronic tilted its head.
"Nonesense! You're never too old for games!" it said. Then, it stopped as it noticed the cut on his cheek.
"Uh oh. I see something on your cheek. Did you get a cut?"
Gregory blinked as he remembered. He placed his hand on his cheek, wincing a bit.
"Yeah. That's why I'm here. I'm trying to hide!" he explained. The sun animatronic tilted his head.
"Hide? From who? Your friends? Because then you have terrible frie-" he remarked before Gregory cut him off.
"No! I don't have any friends (at least ones around my age)! I'm hiding from this crazy woman wearing a rabbit costume! She has a knife and she almost got me a few times, including just a few minutes ago!" he explained, pointing to the direction from where he entered the center. The sun animatronic perked up in alarm.
"A bad person? Here to cause harm to guests?! Oh dear, we should get Officer Vanessa!" it said. Gregory frowned.
"I tried contacting her with this Faz-Watch, but it's not working! It's just static!" he replied as he turned on the communication section to replay static once again. The sun animatronic slumped a bit and placed a finger on his chin.
"I see…Well, this place is known for safety. You can hide out in here until Officer Vanessa comes over!" it offered. Gregory perked up a bit, but just before he could respond,
Bam!
"Where is that little runt?"
"Monty, relax! Management's gonna get mad at us for destroying the-"
"Stuff it, Freddy. We don-"
The sun animatronic and Gregory turned in the direction of the voices at the entrance of the center.
"Oh. It's the animatronic band. Maybe THEY can help." he offered, pointing his thumb to them. Gregory immediately widened his eyes and gasped.
"No no, please! They also attacked me and Vanessa earlier!" he explained, fear ever-present in his voice. The sun animatronic tilted its head and quirked its body.
"They attacked you too? And Officer Vanessa as well? What is happening? They need a time-out." he muttered.
BANG!
The two flinched at the sound of banging. The sun then turned to Gregory.
"Hide, new friend. In there." it said, pointing to the play place structure. Gregory nodded as he ran towards the entrance as fast as he could. Just as he was out of sight, the doors to the place soon were forced open, and there were Monty Gater, Roxane Wolf, Glamrock Freddy, and Glamrock Chica. Freddy looked more worried and concerned, Chica was still in a zombie-like daze, but Roxanne and Monty had looks of frustration and anger on their faces.
"Oh, hello friends! What can I do for you?!" the sun asked.
While inside the play place, Gregory was able to watch from one of the tunnels' windows.
"We're looking for a child. You've seen it anywhere?" Roxy demanded. The sun shifted a bit in place, face still stuck in a permanent grin, but Gregory could see an uncomfortable stance. Roxy raised an eyelid.
"Uh…Uh, I don't know where the boy is." the sun replied meekly. Gregory sighed a bit in relief at seeing the sun defend him. Even Freddy seemed to pipe in with,
"Oh. Well, if you have seen him, plea-"
"Wait a minute, big bear." Roxy demanded, raising a hand. The sun and Gregory suddenly looked at her.
"I don't recall mentioning a BOY child," she growled. At this, the sun animatronic and Gregory tensed up, and the latter gritted his teeth.
I missed that detail! Gregory thought.
"Oh, you didn't?! W-W-Well, still, I-I haven't seen him!" he replied.
"I think you did. And I think you're gonna tell us, or I'll personally scrap you. Got it?!" Monty growled as he suddenly grabbed the sun animatronic by its shoulders. Gregory gasped in delight.
"Ack!" the sun animatronic went.
"Monty! What are you doing?!" Freddy asked in shock as he approached Monty, only to be stopped by Chica.
"Freddy. Don't go!" she pleaded, and through the glassy eyes, Freddy saw a hint of concern in them.
"B-But Chica," Freddy began, but Chica said,
"Monty doesn't like being interrupted. Remember what happened with Bonnie when he interrupted Monty?"
Freddy winced at the memory, and he soon stepped down. Roxy, who had been seeing the scene, hummed.
"Relax, Freddy. A little fear will get this guy talking. Now, you can either tell us where the boy is or…we'll turn off the lights." Roxy threatened, eyes carrying a hateful glee.
"Ahh! No! Lights on! Lights on!" the sun animatronic pleaded.
"Then tell us!" roared Monty. The sun animatronic tried to wiggle out of Monty's grasp, but Monty was too strong. Finally, he caved in.
"Alright! I'll tell you! He's in the theater!" he exclaimed, pointing towards the theater. Gregory looked on in surprise and a bit of relief, happy that he still lied despite the threat. Monty, meanwhile, seemed to be satisfied with the answer and dropped him.
"Was that so hard? Come on, let's go." Monty said before turning around to leave. Roxy followed after him, glaring at the sun animatronic. Chica and Freddy stayed behind for a bit.
"You go on ahead. I'll catch up." Freddy said to her. Chica nodded and slumped off after them, leaving Freddy alone with the sin animatronic. The bear approached him and inspected him.
"Are you alright, Mr. Daycare Attendant?" he asked.
"Ugh. I'll live. What's with them?" the sun animatronic asked.
"I don't know. First Monty, then Roxy, and even Chica a little bit. Honestly, I hope they don't find the boy." mumbled Freddy.
Gregory stared at the scene. He was relieved that the sun animatronic, or the Daycare Attendant as he's called, was safe. But he was not comfortable that the other animatronics were still in the center with him. That said, he did notice how Freddy did not act as aggressively as the others. He would've thought the same about Chica had she not attacked him and Vanessa earlier.
M-Maybe…Maybe he's not as bad as the oth-"Gregory thought before he accidentally slipped his hand on the glass, hitting his forehead on it in the process. This caught Freddy and the Attendant's attention.
"Huh? Oh, is that him?" asked Freddy. Gregory gasped in horror, but the Daycare Attendant stopped in front.
"No worries, new friend! He's a nice one!" he assured. Gregory settled down slightly as he looked at Freddy, who waved at him. He pointed at the bear and mouthed to the Daycare Attendant,
"You sure?"
"Completely! Now come down here and meet your new friend!" the Daycare Attendant assured. Looking a bit unsure, yet deciding to trust the animatronic, Gregory nodded and began to walk through the play place to get out.
Once he arrived, Freddy blinked as he recognized him.
"Oh. I remember you: you're the child that Officer Vanessa tried to take out. Hold on." Freddy said as he gently picked him up. Gregory grew tense, but he widened his eyes as Freddy began to scan him with his eyes.
"How odd. Your guest profile is unknown to me. Who are you?" he asked. Gregory looked at Freddy and, remembering how he had acted compared to the rest of the band, decided to answer him.
"I-I'm Gregory." he replied.
"Ah. Gregory. Well, what are you still doing here? I thought Officer Vanessa got you to your parents." Freddy said.
"We couldn't get to the exit in time. Now I'm stuck here with this crazy rabbit lady and all these robots after us." Gregory replied, growing upset.
"Us?" asked Freddy.
"Yeah. New friend here says that the others attacked both him and Officer Vanessa." the Daycare Attendant replied, standing behind Gregory in sympathy. Freddy was now confused.
"What? B-But why? They would never do that." he argued. Gregory shook his head.
"I don't know, and I don't care. Right now, I need to find Vanessa. Please help me find her!" he pleaded. Freddy and the Daycare Attendant looked at him before Freddy nodded.
"Alright! I can help you! We are programmed to entertain and help our guests whenever we can!" Freddy said with glee. Gregory smiled a bit and then looked at the Daycare.
"You coming too, Mr. uh…Never got your name, sorry." he asked.
"Oh, just call me Sunny! But no…I can't go. My programming won't let me." replied the Daycare Attendant as his body slouched down.
"Really?" he asked. The Daycare Attendant nodded.
"Yeah. However, my…other self, is free to move around the building when the lights are off…Off…Off…" he muttered, shivering a bit in fear. Gregory raised a brow before he then perked his head.
"No matter! You two should leave, and quickly, before the others-" he began before.
"HE'S NOT HERE!"
The booming voice of Monty echoed throughout the daycare. Gregory gritted his teeth as they looked in the direction of the theater!
"Oh dear. Gregory, get inside my stomach hatch, quickly." Glamrock Freddy instructed as he opened up his stomach hatch. While a bit put off by the demand, Gregory nonetheless climbed inside as fast as he could. The stomach closed just as the three animatronics rushed out of the theater.
"You lied to us, Sunny!" Monty growled as he jumped up from the rail and down onto the floor. The Daycare Attendant giggled nervously as the others marched toward them. Glamrock Freddy stepped in front of the Daycare Attendant as Monty got close to them.
"Monty! You need to relax right now! Getting angry will not help our search!" he scolded. Monty simply huffed.
"Shut up, Freddy. We've spent a lot of time looking for this brat, only to have this thing lie to us about where he went! Now get out of my way!" Monty said as he grabbed Freddy's chest to push him aside. Freddy gasped and swatted the hand away from his chest.
Chica blinked in surprise as Monty growled.
"Do not ever touch me like that ever again, Fazbear!" growled Monty as he got closer to Freddy. Freddy subconsciously placed a hand on his chest, protecting Gregory inside.
However, this did not go unnoticed. Roxy narrowed her eyes and approached.
"Freddy. Why is your hand on your stomach hatch?" she asked. Gregory tensed up as Freddy stepped back a bit.
"Uh, I uh…" Freddy started, but he could not find a good excuse or a reason. However, Chica then asked innocently.
"Is Gregory in there?" she asked. This made Gregory hitch his breath, and Freddy and the Daycare Attendant straightened up in alarm.
"N-No! He's not." he replied, voice growing tenser. However, Monty didn't buy it.
"Okay, then open it and show us!" he growled, crossing his hands. Freddy blinked rapidly as he looked down.
"Uh, I-I don't see how-" he began before Roxy scoffed impatiently.
"Just open up! If he's not there, then fine! We've wasted enough time here!" she growled.
Inside, Gregory was panicking. The two of them were gonna be in trouble if something didn't happen now. Freddy stepped back in fear as the animatronics stared at him intensely.
Thankfully, salvation came in the form of the Daycare Attendant.
"Let's play a game of horseback riding! Yeehaw!" he shouted just as he leaped on top of Roxanne's back and pulled on her hair. Roxanne shouted.
"Ahh! Don't touch my hair. Get OFF of me!"
Roxanne stepped away as she swung her arms wildly while the Daycare Attendant continued shouting. This caused the other two animatronics to turn to them.
Gregory then tapped at Freddy from the inside.
"He's distracting them. Let's get out of here!" he insisted. Freddy nodded and began to flee. Unfortunately, Monty heard Freddy's footsteps and growled.
"Hey! Where are you going?!" he demanded as he charged toward the bear. Freddy gasped and turned around, grabbing Monty's hand and sliding back thanks to Monty's push. Freddy then looked down at his chest cavity.
"Gregory! Run!" he demanded as he opened his stomach hatch. Gregory nodded as he jumped out of the chest and ran.
"There he is!" Chica proclaimed. Monty growled as he tried to push Freddy out of the way, but Freddy elbowed his left arm and began to push him back, preventing him from chasing Gregory.
"Get him, Chica!" Monty demanded. Chica nodded as she rushed towards Gregory. Freddy looked at Gregory in alarm but then focused his attention back on Monty. He did not want to fight his friends, but he wanted Gregory to be safe.
Unfortunately, with Monty, it is easier said than done.
Monty punched Freddy, sending him stumbling back and falling to the floor. Freddy got up just in time to see Monty beginning to run after Gregory. Growling, Freddy charged ahead and grabbed Monty's tail. Monty turned around and roared.
Meanwhile, Roxy tries her hardest to get the Daycare Attendant off of her, even going so far as to run on all fours and slam him against the wall. However, the animatronic would swing itself away from her grasp.
Eventually, the Daycare Attendant hopped off Roxy's back and grabbed onto one of the poles of the play place.
"Nanananana! You can't catch me!" he teased, making various gestures. Roxanne growled.
"Why you insect!" she roared before she leaped up as high as she could to catch him. However, the Daycare Attendant simply hopped to another poll, and Roxanne slammed her face against the pole. The Daycare Attendant simply laughed, and Roxy growled.
Meanwhile, Gregory was being chased by Chica within the play place.
"Come now, Gregory. Let's start over and try to get to know each other. Please?" she asked. Gregory winced at her voice.
"Like hell I will." he muttered as he continued fleeing from the animatronic.
Further away, a familiar masked being was watching the scene. It was the rabbit lady, Vanny, and she was placing her hand on the side of her face, watching the scene with amusement.
"Oh, I wish I brought some pizza. Would make a good dinner theater." she mumbled to herself. She eyed Monty and Freddy fighting one another (more like Freddy trying to get Monty away from Gregory), the Daycare Attendant taunting Roxy, and Gregory being chased by Chica. The Vanny hummed to herself. Then, she pulled out her phone to see the time.
"Hm. Lights should be going out any minute." she mused before giggling. Then, deciding to leave, she stepped back and waved silently.
"Oh well, we still have a LONG night ahead of us. Have fun without me! See you soon!" she teased quietly before skipping away…
Then, just as she left the room, the lights suddenly went out. Everyone stopped as they suddenly found themselves in absolute darkness. The brief period of silence was then followed by,
"N-No! The lights! Turn them on! Turn them back on! A-Aaagggh!"
It was the Daycare Attendant, and he was suddenly grabbing at his head, shivering as he fell down from the pole he was hanging on to. From the tube tunnels of the play place, Gregory managed to see the Daycare Attendant shivering before he lost his grip and fell, no longer visible. He grew concerned.
S-So that's why he doesn't like the lights off… he thought to himself. Meanwhile, he heard Roxy chuckle.
"Well, it's about time." he heard her say. Gregory gritted his teeth in fear.
Freddy was still grappling with Monty when he saw the Daycare Attendant falling to the floor. He widened his eyes as he saw parts of the animatronic contorting from a sun-themed appearance to a dark, moon-based appearance. After a brief pause of silence from the animatronic, the new being soon flipped itself and landed on its feet. Now, it has a moon-looking face instead of the previous sun. It also sported a hat with a bell and dark pajamas.
"Ehehehehehehe…" the Daycare Attendant went.
"Oh no…" Freddy went.
"What's wrong, bear? You scared that the moon guy will go after your friend? That's what happens when you waste our time!" Monty taunted as he elbowed Freddy, forcing the bear to release him. Freddy stumbled a bit as he saw Monty approaching the daycare. With a determined glare, he rushed forward and, like a football player, slammed Monty and sent the crocodile tumbling to the ground. Freddy then pinned down the gator and continued to fight it.
Meanwhile, Gregory watched Chica crawling through the play place area below him, trying to reach him. He bit his lower lip in fear.
"H-Hello? Gregory?" a familiar voice emitted from the Faz-Watch. This made Chica look up, spotting Gregory. The boy gasped and stepped back. Then, he looked at his Faz-Watch and spoke to it.
"V-Vanessa?" he asked, a hint of hope in his voice.
"Yeah! It's me! What's going on? Where are you right now?!" she demanded. Gregory smiled, but the sound of thumping approaching him from the front made him run away again.
"T-The rabbit lady almost got me, but I managed to escape to the daycare center. Most the animatronics are now trying to get me, except for Freddy! Please, I need help!" he pleaded. There was a brief moment of silence before Vanessa replied with,
"Okay. I'm on my way! Just hold on!" she said before the other side disconnected.
"Gregory. Come on. Let's try and be reasonable now." Chica's voice made his blood run cold, and he saw the chicken animatronic approaching him, hand reaching out to him. He screamed and ran as fast as he could.
Suddenly, he heard the sound of leather being torn apart. He could see Roxy trying to get inside.
"There you are, brat!" Roxy taunted before she tried to get to him. Gregory screamed as her claws missed his legs by a mere millimeter. He rushed towards the other end of the play place where a slide led down and out of the play place. He turned around to see Roxy and Chica running toward him, with Roxanne shoving Chica aside.
"Out of my way! He's mine!" she growled. Gregory gasped again as he then slid down the slide. Soon he made it to the bottom and climbed back up. Then, he was greeted by the Daycare Attendant.
"Ooh. Someone's past their bedtime! You need a time-out!" he growled as he posed his arms to grab him. Gregory crawled back, trying in vain to get away from him.
Suddenly, the Daycare Attendant was pushed to the side by Freddy. The bear looked at him and looked relieved.
"Gregory!" he said in a relieved manner. Gregory smiled, but then they heard the sound of tumbling in the back. They turned around, and Gregory narrowed his eyes, trying to see.
"What's going on?" asked Gregory. Freddy's eyes, which were lit up in order to help him see in the darkness better, saw Roxanne landing on the floor. She growled as she got on all fours.
"You got 'em, Roxanne. You are the best after all!" she mused to herself before pouncing where Gregory was at. Freddy then grabbed him and pulled him out of the way, closer to the slide. Roxanne then turned around, growling. Gregory clutched onto Freddy's neck in fear. Freddy took note of the slide and decided to do something drastic.
With a roar, Roxanne charged toward them and pounced at them. With a burst of speed and agility, Freddy leaped out of the way, and Roxy found herself stuck inside the slide. Gregory looked at the scene and laughed at Roxy's predicament.
"Stop laughing! This is why you don't have any friends!" she called out. While wincing at the insult, Gregory still blew a raspberry toward her. Freddy, however, was not in a celebratory mood.
"Sorry, everyone. But you all left me no choice." he apologized before he turned around and began to flee.
A sudden roar made them look further back to see Monty charging toward them. The alligator was furious and pushed aside various toys and barrels to get toward him. And if that wasn't enough, the Daycare Attendant got up from behind and jumped toward them. Gregory and Freddy widened their eyes in shock, and the latter enveloped himself around the boy, shielding him from the upcoming attacks.
Suddenly, there was a loud scream from the side, and Gregory saw something fly in from the left,
WHACK!
The Daycare Attendant was hit on the side of the head by a swinging baton and was sent flying away toward the play place, entangled by the leather fence. Gregory gasped in shock.
It was Vanessa!
Gregory smiled in relief just as he felt Freddy grabbing Monty in an attempt to get him away from Monty. Then, he felt Freddy lowering him.
"Officer Vanessa. Thank goodness! Get him out of here, quickly!" Freddy pleaded as he used one arm to put Gregory down and the other to keep Monty at bay. Vanessa pulled Gregory close to her and looked at him.
"Not without you, Freddy!" she said as she pulled out a taser, rushed toward Monty, and tased his left leg. Monty screamed in pain as he was pushed back onto the floor. Vanessa stepped back as Gregory ran to her.
"That won't keep him down for long. Let's get out of here, now!" she barked at the two. Freddy and Gregory nodded, and they rushed out of the daycare, with Vanessa following them shortly after. Gregory shot a quick look, seeing the other animatronics temporarily disabled thanks to their predicament: Roxy stuck on one end of the slide, Chica stuck on the other end of the slide, Monty's left leg was paralyzed, and the Daycare Attendant tangled up by the leather fence. He gave a victorious smile as they ran up the stairs.
Once they got out of the daycare facility, and far enough away, they stopped. Gregory and Vanessa panted while Freddy looked back to see if they were being followed.
Gregory, once he managed to catch his breath, looked at Vanessa. Vanessa looked back at him and frowned.
"Oh, Gregory. I'm so sorry I wasn't there. I-" she said before Gregory got up and ran toward her. Vanessa thought he was gonna hit her, but instead, he leaped up and hugged her. Vanessa froze, not expecting this at all. She then heard Gregory whimper.
"She…she almost got me. She almost got me." he whimpered as he remembered the rabbit lady and the knife gently running against his stomach. Vanessa frowned and hugged her back, kneeling. She mentally cursed herself for allowing the evil bitch inside of her to take control and nearly take away another child's life. This thought, combined with the boy's distress, almost pushed her into tears.
"I-I'm so sorry. I'm sorry I left you alone." she whimpered, tightening her hug on him. Freddy then turned to look at the two and frowned. He approached them and asked,
"What happened, Officer Vanessa? Why weren't you with him?"
Vanessa frowned, looking up at Freddy before explaining,
"I was getting a key for the VIP area to get Gregory out of this place, but…then I was attacked by this crazy lady wearing a rabbit costume. She knocked me out, and the next thing I knew, I woke up with the key gone, and several notifications that someone tried to reach me, but couldn't. That's when I knew it was Gregory, and I came as soon as I could."
Gregory looked at her, shocked by this. Of course, Vanessa had to make the story up, and internally, she felt bad about doing this. But she knew it was necessary.
"She knocked you out? But…why didn't she kill you? I-I mean, I'm glad she didn't, but-" Gregory began, but Vanessa shook her head.
"I know what you mean, Gregory. Don't worry. I-I guess she didn't because she wanted to see me trying to save you but failing. Well, with how we are right now, you managed to escape. So, there's that, at least." she said, giving an assuring smile. Gregory nodded, but he looked down.
"But that was because I was lucky. I felt her knife going down my stomach. She said…she didn't want to kill me yet. She wanted me to suffer. I-I almost…" he began, feeling something dreadful swelling up inside of him. Vanessa gasped in fright before pulling him into another hug.
"Oh, Gregory. I'm so sorry. I almost failed you…" she whimpered. Gregory returned the gesture, sniffling. Freddy watched with a saddened look on her face. He looked back where his friends were, then at the two humans. Then, his system notified him that his battery was running low. With a frown, he told them,
"Sorry to interrupt. But I need to head to a charging station. My battery is nearly low."
Vanessa and Gregory looked at him with a frown. Gregory was especially upset.
"S-So, you're not gonna help us?" he asked. Freddy shook his head.
"Of course I will. I just need to fill myself up." he assured. Gregory sighed in relief as Vanessa stood up and approached him.
"Freddy…I don't know why you aren't aggressive like your friends are, but I'm grateful nonetheless. Thank you for saving Gregory." she said with a smile. Freddy nodded.
"Of course, Officer Vanessa. I'm not sure why I'm different from the others, but I know that I will help out in any way I can." he said with a smile. Then, the pupils in his eyes flashed a bit, and Gregory and Vanessa heard a ping on their Faz-Watches.
"I've made sure to install a calling feature into your Faz-Watches, so that if you need me, I'll come to you…provided that I have enough power, and I am able to reach you."
Then he looked at Gregory and placed a hand on his shoulder. He gave an assuring look to the boy's face.
"Do not worry, Gregory. Officer Vanessa and I will do our best to get you out of here and fix whatever is happening with this place. I promise." he said. Gregory smiled and nodded before hugging his leg.
"T-Thanks, Freddy." he said. Freddy smiled a bit and ruffled the boy's head before turning around, Gregory letting his leg go in the process.
"Good luck you two!" he said before rushing off to find a recharging station further away from the center, leaving Vanessa and Gregory alone.
Even though the place was still dark due to the power going out, the emergency lights gave them enough to look at one another. Vanessa approached him and knelt again.
"Gregory, I know you might be mad at me for leaving you, but I swear, I will not leave you again. I will protect you from that crazy lady this time." she said, eyes filled with sincerity. Gregory took note of this and nodded.
"I know. You were knocked out, and this thing," he said, gesturing to his Faz-Watch. "was not working at the time. I…I'm glad you're okay, Vaenssa." he said, looking at him with a smile. Vanessa smiled and gently placed a hand on his cheek.
"I'm glad you're safe too. Oh, she also took out the band-aid." she said, frowning as she saw the exposed cut. Gregory nodded. Vanessa then stood up and extended her hand once more.
"Let's get you to another medical station and get another band-aid. Then, we'll hide in the Lost and Found and decide what to do next. Will that work?" she asked. Gregory looked at her hand, then at her, nodding.
"Yeah. I think that'll work." he said, finally accepting Vanessa's hand. Vanessa smiled before the two of them began to walk down the escalator. Vanessa looked at Gregory and smiled, relief and then determination filling her body.
She failed one child beforehand, she will not fail this one. Not this time…
AN: Hey everyone!
Wow. What a chapter this one is. It's longer than I anticipated. I wrote the first 11 pages all in one day before having to take a break! Impressive…Anyways, moving on.
Yep, Glamrock Freddy's gonna be an ally. Why? Well, for me, it's kind of a given. With how Freddy glitched out in the opening cutscene for the Security Breach game, it tampered with his systems which forced a restart on him, and that might have something to do with why he's not aggressive. At least, that's what many other fans say. The game, sadly, does not specify (at least at the time of me writing this). Regardless, Freddy's still an ally. The story will still be largely around Gregory and Vanessa, however.
As for the other animatronics…well, you'll see.
So that's all I have to say. Hope you enjoy it, criticism is appreciated, you know the drill.
