The eyes that once belonged to Donovan, now had a yellow glow and vertical pupils. His body turned into a monstrous red skinned winged demon with huge claws and teeth. It was finally free and thirsty for blood.

"This is getting better" Demitri said.

The angered demon rushed at him, piercing the vampire with its claws and releasing an electric discharge so powerful that Demitri felt he was burning inside out. He hardly free himself and when he was going to fight back, he felt dizzy. Demitri fell on the floor and had a convulsion. He wasn't invencible anymore.

The devil Donovan would not give him a break. He striked him, breaking bones and sometimes trying to skin him alive. Demitri also was also savage, he dodged and hit him but he was starting to be wearing down. They both were on their demon forms in a hellish combat, destroying everything around them.

Anita was overwhelmed by the release of her emotions. She was sad for Livia, afraid Donovan would not come back and confused, not knowing what to do. She approached Livia's body and noticed something unusual: She was not bleeding anymore and she seemed to breath.

Demitri fell. Defeated. His oponnent gave him no rest and when Demitri tried to escape, he was dismembered right there. The winner watched the blood on his claws and arms, fascinated. Then he listened to a female voice.

"Dee?"

The demon turned and saw a beautiful woman with dark hair holding a child.

"More flesh blood" He roared.

"Please, stop! It's me and Anita, don't you remember?" Livia could barely look at him, but she resisted to her will to run away.

The demon flew around Anita and Livia, circling them and causing a gale.

"Donovan come back to us, please! We need you." Livia cried as she tried to stand.

Anita used her powers to control the Dhylec sword. She had promised Donovan that if he ever lose control and tried to harm an innocent again, she would stop him, no matter how. Violet lights circled her as if she was the eye of a hurricane. The demon landed in front of them. Livia activated a magic circle of protection. He roared and when the blade was about to strike him, he fell on his knees. Anita hesitated.

"You... you are..." Little by little the demon became human again.

The hunter was back. They got near him slowly and the weakened man embraced Livia's legs and cried. Anita ceased her powers and for the first time in years she felt relief. Livia covered Donovan with a curtain and ran her hands through his body and Anita's, searching for wounds.

"How do you both feel? Tell me where it aches." She said nervously.

"You're still human" Anita felt her warm skin.

"Livia… how is this possible?" Donovan touched her neck. The bite marks were healed as if Demitri has bit her weeks ago.

"I descend from the Zana fairies. My grandfather lent our power to Demitri, turning him stronger. My father distasted that so much that he worked day and night to create and antidote, something to undo what my grandfather did and stop Demitri. He made it and injected it on me. I've only found it in here, reading my grandfather's manuscripts and my father's last letter."

She sat on the floor and nestled Donovan and Anita on her lap. She caressed the girl and tried to stanch the hunter's wounds. Evertyhing around them was burnt or destroyed. She kissed them both and they remained like this.

"Not sure if I kill you or kiss you," Donovan whispered.

"I'd rather the second option" She smiled.

"Damn you!" A roar interrupted them. It was Demitri. Against all natural laws he was still alive, crawling on a puddle of blood. "I should be invencible, I should be immune!"

Livia rolled her eyes.

"Undead the Zana wished to develop na imune being to the darkstalkers, but that being would be someone of our family and would come with time. They made it, here I am," She pointed to herself. "But you're so arrogant that you though this was all about yourself and your revenge. Unfortunately my grandfather supported you on this madness."

"Damned bitch!" Demitri hissed.

Donovan got up and with his sword he froze Demitri until he was just an ice rock. The hunter, the girl and the doctor left the castle, flying on Donovan sword.

"Don't you dare to come back, monster. If you do, I'll be waiting" Anita said as she used her powers to banish Demitri to another dimension. No vampire would triumph on Earth while she and Donovan lived.

The sun was rising. Donovan and Livia leaned on each other as they walked back to the town Anita was holding Donovan's hand. They all were exhausted as if the last night was a war campaign.

On the way back Livia explained everything: the origins of her fairy family, the inconsequent association of her grandfather who gave Demitri the ability to walk on sunlight and other powers, her father's clever plan to create and hide a counter poison for it in her blood, for she had inherited the fairy's strength and immunity better than anyone…

"So, you're a fairy lady… that explains how you seduced me" Donovan laughed.

"So funny!" she sighed "I need a drink."

"Livia, how did you know you were immune to Demitri?" Anita asked her.

"Well, my dad's letter said my blood could cancel everything my grandfather gave Demitri and that maybe it was immune to vampires."

"Maybe? You were not sure?" Donovan asked

"No."

"So you let a vampire bite you not knowing if you were going to survive or not? That was your plan?" Donovan glared at her.

"Uh… When you put it like that it does seem a touch absurd…" She blushed.

"Do you hate being alive? First you ask him to take you and later asks him to bite you? Have you no sense?"

"Don't you talk to me like that! I was trying to help you!"

"By killing yourself? And how would I feel?"

"Would you miss me if I died?" she beamed.

"I already miss you alive." He was serious.

"I missed you too, Livia" Anita smiled sweetly.

"Aww, me too. I thought about you every moment," Livia hugged her.

"Do you have your feelings back, Anita?" Donovan asked.

"I don't know… Now that Livia is back I realize I missed her. And I was afraid to miss you two," Anita felt like something has changed but she didn't know what.

"I'll stay with you while you need me." Donovan told her.

"Let´s live one day at a time." Livia said.
