"But father, you said that I could ask for anything for my birthday, and I'm just asking for this one small little thing." Luz Belos whined to her father, Emperor Belos, while the two were walking down the grand hall of the tower that the two lived/worked in. Well, Belos was the one that mainly worked in the castle. It is on this day today that Luz turned 13 years old and she wanted her gift to be special. Over the years that she has been raised by Belos, she has never asked for anything in return for her birthday, not even once. And today was the first time that she would be asking for something on her birthday. She would usually spend her birthdays having a small party where, she, Belos, her cousin Hunter and her guardian Lilith would eat at the grand table in the dining room and have a good dinner.
At this dinner, Belos would usually wear his emperor clothing, Hunter in his Golden Guard outfit, Lilith in her usual entire while Luz would wear an elegant dress, it was a yellow and white dress that had a skirt that went down to her feet and was plastered with purple jewels that sparkled with every movement that she made. On her head, she would wear a small tiara that was made out of silver with a pendant shaped like her father's coven. Her slippers were completely white with both sides of each slipper having a golden ribbon attached to it with an Emperor's coven pendant holding it all together.
Luz and her father were walking down the hall that went to the Throne room where her father spent most of his time in. Luz was walking behind her father while her father walked ahead of her all the while not facing his daughter. Belos then says to her daughter, "By 'small' thing I meant for it to be an object that you would be able to hold not, go out camping without anyone there to watch over you." Luz and her father never had the relationship that other fathers and daughters had at all. She would sometimes ask her father if she could go to a magic public school, or go join her father's coven, learn magic, goes to a library that somehow caught her attention, or even has friends outside of school. But his answer for all of them has always been, "No."
Luz then says to her father, "But father, every year you keep on asking me if I wanted something for my birthday and I always went with dinner. And you always asked me if I wanted some kind of toy, but I never asked for a toy or something among those lines. Instead, I just asked for a normal dinner. And this year, on this day, I become a thirteen-year-old girl and you ask me if I want anything special for this day. Now that I give you a different answer, you end up saying no. Why?" Luz finishes recanting her previous birthdays to her father.
Belos stops so suddenly causing Luz to stop as well with a little stubble. Belos turns to her daughter who stands up straight like a Princess would normally do. Belos looks at his daughter and says, "Because Luz, this is different. On those previous birthdays, I asked you for an imminent object that would never pose any harm to you. But this time is different. It's different because you want to go outside of the castle where there is danger, practically surrounding you and you want to leave the castle, the very same and protective castle where you won't be harmed in any way possible? I think not." Belos then runs his back on Luz and continues to walk.
Before Belos could fully walk away, Luz shouts in a desperate act, "Let's make a deal, just you and me." Belos stops completely.
He turns to Luz who looks straight at him. He then teleports in front of her, she keeps her gaze at her father while making eye contact, not flinching, and keeping her ground, an act that she has never done before in her entire life. Belos says to his daughter, "First of all; watch that tone in you're voice young lady. You are a princess, a princess that shouldn't act like that to her father. As for this deal between you and I... I am intrigued."
Luz breaths in through her nose and says, "Here's the deal, you will allow me to go camping outside of the walls of the coven for forty-eight hours without any guards or help from anyone from the outside of those woods within that entirety of said time. If I can be able to go through that entire time without any living contact, then you will accept only accept this one and only one request that I have without question." Luz then exhales through her nose and finishes her sentence.
Belos looks at her daughter and asks her, "And what request do you have, daughter of mine?"
Luz then answers, "You will allow me to go to Hexside school of Demonic a public school where the main coven heads all went to at one time. If I were to fail at the forty-eight hours then I will continue my studies here at the castle without resistance or question. But if you, Father, were to fail, by intervening and giving me some form of aid, then the trip would be canceled and you will allow me to go to Hexside" She then presents her father with her right hand for her father to shake to confirm the deal.
Belos looks at her daughter before extending his hand and shaking the daughter's hand to confirm the deal. This causes Luz to look in shock. Belos then says to his daughter, "Very well, Luz. I will allow this deal between you and me to go forward." Luz smiles slightly. But that smile ends when Belos says, "And let me be very, very clear on something; you going to Hexside, that, that is the only request that you will have. This means the only things that you will go out for are anything that relates to school and only school. Anything else will be a definite 'no'. If you wish to go to the library then fine. If you do go to Hexside you will have to catch up with the students and will have to focus on schoolwork only. And most of all you will have a curfew. You expect to be in bed at nine o'clock P.M. and dinner before seven-thirty. If you are late to dinner and curfew three times in a row then you will not go anywhere else except for school. If there is an incident at school that involves you or if it does not involve you in any way three times in a row then I will remove you from that school and you will continue your studies here then. But if there aren't any more incidents then, I will remove some of the restrictions that I have giving you a little freedom. But if you abuse that freedom, I will without a second thought remove said freedom and you will go about your normal schedule. Is that understood?"
Luz thinks for a moment and realizes that she has a lot riding on this deal.
Without a second thought, Luz says to her father, "Deal, father."
Belos then says as the two stop shaking each other's hands, "Very well then, go pack your things, Luz. The moment that you walk out of this castle, your forty-eight hours will start."
In the Human realm, in space...
Over the planet Earth were two ships, one ship was smaller than the one that chasing it. The other ship is a massive ship that was flown and piloted by Vilgax, the Conqueror. Vilgax ordered his ship to open fire on the smaller ship. After a while, the smaller ship fires a single blast at the commander center where Vilgax was commanding creating an explosion in the command center and causing Vilgax to be scared and injured. In a final attempt to destroy the smaller ship, Vilgax fires one last laser blast from his ship causing the smaller ship's engines to blow. The captain of this smaller ship's desperate attempt, they launch whatever Vilgax wanted in a small pod and fire it toward Earth. But it never went to Earth. Somehow and someway, the pod was teleported out of space and was teleported elsewhere.
A drone of Vilgax tells his leading, "Lord Vilgax, there seems to be a problem. The pod that held the Omnitrix... is gone.
Vilgax looks at the drone as he is being gently dragged away from the destroyed command room towards the medical section of the ship. He says in anger, "What do you mean that the pod is gone? WHERE IS IT?! It should have crashed somewhere onto that backwater planet. I am pleased that those so-called 'champions of Justice' haven't detected us. But where is my prize?"
The drone then says as Vilgax is gently being hoisted up into a large and massive healing pod, "We still do not my lord. Right before the pod disappeared and the one second that it was still in space, our scanners picked up recognizable yet unfamiliar energy. The pod was teleported, from an unknown third party, we can be able to duplicate the transportation and we will arrive at the location where the Omnitrix crashed to. Unfortunately, it will take some time for the ship to arrive at this unknown location, but we can send in some of the more suitable drones."
Vilgax 'hmmm's a bit before deciding and declares to the drone, "Very well then. Send a small squadron of our army. Order them to secure the Omnitrix and destroy anyone that stands in our way."
In the Demon Realm, at The Knee...
At the crash site of the pod containing the Omnitrix, Luz Belos is wearing a winter jacket, gloves, boots, appropriate pants, and attire along with the correct gear to handle the coldness of The Knee. Luz went to The Knee in hopes that she wouldn't get seen nor gained any help from the people of Bonebouroh or her father's coven. She expected it all to be quiet but now...
Luz was now staring down at the bottom of a crater where an odd circular object is at the center and it started to open up slightly. As it started to open up, an odd alluring glow from the inside the pod caused Luz's curiosity to want to go towards the light and disregard anything that her conscious was telling her to do. Luz says to herself, "What is that thing?"
