-Chapter Three: Exams...Why?!-

When Skywarp and Thundercracker asked Starscream who Jetfire was, Starscream just said "Oh, he was just a new kid wanting to join...". Then they asked why Starscream acted so awkward in front of him and he just replied "It was nothing...he just reminded me of someone". After that the conversation ended. Starscream was concealing his friendship with Jetfire as he hadn't told the Seekers about it. Yes, they did know that he used to have a friend before but Starscream had never talked about him with them or even mentioned his name because he felt painful when he did so. He also didn't tell them anything because he felt they would feel that he held Jetfire above them and he didn't want them to feel that way.

Other than that, everything was fine and they simply carried on their studies happily until one fateful day that the professor told them some devastating news. Well it was devastating for Skywarp and Thundercracker. Mostly Skywarp though.

"Students, your exams will be starting shortly" said the teacher and the whole class stopped doing their work in unison except for Starscream that is.

Starscream looked up to see why his fellow Seekers had stopped. He hadn't heard the professor. "What did she say?" He asked in a whisper. "I was busy in my work".

He didn't understand why Skywarp's mouth was open and Thundercracker was looking fearful so he asked again in the same whisper, "What's going on?" And Thundercracker slowly turned towards him to utter one word: "Exams". He said it as if it was costing him the world and Skywarp winced at the word "Exams" as if it was poison.

"Seriously? You both are stressing over exams? Why on Cybertron would you worry about that? We've had exams before haven't we?" Said Starscream when the period was over and they were walking to their dormitories.

"You don't know anything Screamer...you're the big brain afterall" said Skywarp fearfully.

"Since when are you afraid of exams, Skywarp? You're the one who always says I don't care" said Starscream but Skywarp shrugged and said "Yeah...but not after my last result..." and he stopped talking as the memory came over him so Starscream turned to Thundercracker saying "What's gotten into you? You never worried about them!" And Thundercracker replied, gulping, "This time they're gonna be difficult..." and Starscream sighed, clapping a hand over his forehead, saying "You two are hopeless..." and Thundercracker and Skywarp gasped.

"I'm sorry...I didn't mean that" said Starscream, looking at them. "I meant if you worry so much, what will you two do in the future? What if you both let me tutor you?" He asked suddenly and the both of their faces brightened up before Thundercracker's darkened once more as he said "Won't that be a bit much for you, Starscream? I mean you'll have to focus on not only your studies but ours as well, you okay with that?"

"Of course! Have I ever found studying difficult?" Said Starscream and to his surprise, the both hugged him, saying "Thanks sooo much!!!" And Starscream said "It's my pleasure" before saying "Umm...you both are squishing me..." and the two Seekers got off him saying "Sorry".

After a few weeks

"So a=5 and b=6...are you two even listening?!" Said Starscream for the umpteenth time, watching Skywarp and Thundercracker as they exchanged notes. It appeared that teaching them was not that easy.

"Mmmhmm" said Thundercracker and Skywarp said "Yeah, we are".

"Alright, then. If you're so sure, solve this question here on the board" said Starscream, smirking, but to his surprise both got up and headed towards the board at the same time. Starscream told Thundercracker to sit down and instead asked Skywarp to do the question.

After a few minutes, Skywarp had solved the question and Starscream was examining his answer. It was correct. The Seekers were listening to him afterall.

"Okay, I've seen that you've been listening carefully. That was that. No more studying. Tomorrow's your first exam" said Starscream matter-of-factly and the both gasped. Skywarp dropped his notebook while Thundercracker said "What?!".

"That's tomorrow?!" Asked Skywarp, shocked.

"Of course it is you dolts" said Starscream in response.

"And we've finished our preparations already?" Said Thundercracker.

"Yes!" Said Starscream, annoyed.

"Thank you!" Said the both in unison, immediatly relaxing.

"You did finish your preparations though, didn't you?" Thundercracker asked Starscream suddenly.

"Of course I did! You think I won't?! I'm the most serious about studies here!" Screeched Starscream.

"Oh, yeah...of course" said Thundercracker. Afterwards, he went quite.

"You two should revise once though" said Starscream as he opened his own books to do some revision. "One should always do that" said Starscream, looking at both of them seriously over the top of his book. "You do realise that if we graduate from here, which we will IN SHA ALLAH, we will move on to flying, don't you?"

Hearing the seriousness in Starscream's voice, both of them immediatley opened their books without a sound and started their revision. For them, it was nothing but Starscream found it strange, extremely strange to see Skywarp studying without any hesitation. He supposed that they had finally grown up and he thought that he should be thankful that they were now serious about their studies and so, he also started revising along with them.
