The slide down the manhole was not very cool. I kept on spinning and this is like a wild ride to me.
Then we landed on the ground. I landed after Garret. Well I rolled on the ground before coming to a stop at the edge of a wall. I groaned. Then I heard Kayley saying, "Emma, Emma are you alright?" I groaned and said, "I'll be ok. I'm just a little dizzy."
Kayley smiled and giggled. She then helped me up. Then Kayley and I asked, "Are you sure we're safe down here?" I wondered if we are or not. Cornwall said that it's better down there than it was up there.
I sighed, I hope we are. I don't wanna be dragon food. I'd rather be a girl of my own free thing. Then I saw Garret on the ground. I asked him, "Are you alright?" Garret looked at me and said, "I will be soon." I asked him again, "Well you're not hurt are you?" Garret said that he's not. I then turned to see the dragons arguing about who is a moron. I didn't understand about this at all.
Garret then said, "With all that bickering, I'm surprised you haven't fried each other." Devon looked confused and said, "Fried? We can't even simmer." He then coughed out a smoke ring. Oh I completely get it now. That's unusual. Then Cornwall said, "Yeah, you see. Unlike most dragons, he can't breathe fire or fly. Hmm. Sad, really." While he said that, the wings on their back flap up and down to see what he was talking about.
Devon looked offended and said to Cornwall, "Oh excusez-moi, Mr. Self-Denial. But ''we'' can't breathe fire or fly." I got curious about what they were talking about and Devon said, "Only cause you're holding me back!" Then the dragons broke into song.
Well I must say that this song of theirs is quite unusual. Then Kayley and I said together while we appeared as a shadow silhouette, "Stop bickering and get your act together!" Then they finished their song.
After their song, we clapped and Kayley said, "Come on Garret." Cornwall said we don't need him and we have him to keep an eye on us.
I rolled my eyes and Garret caught up. We got outside and Ayden flew ahead of us.
Garret then said, "Well the good news is we're out of Dragon Country. The better news is, This is where we say goodbye." This made Devon look hurt and he said, "But You can't leave us here! If we try to go back, we'll be banished! Ostracized. Exiled…" Cornwall then said, "Not to mention kicked out." Kayley and I asked, "Why?" I asked, "What did you ever do?"
Cornwall then said to us, "We just broke the dragons' cardinal rule!" I asked, "What rule is that?" Devon asked, "What, never wear brown shoes with the blue suit?" Cornwall grabbed his snout and said, "No, you moron. Never help a human."
That makes sense. Garret then said, "Come on, Kayley and Emma. We must make camp before dark." Devon asked about camp and Kayley said, "Garrett. Let's take them with us. Please."
I added, "They could help us more than we thought. They could be a big help to us." Garret sighed and said, "Oh, I suppose so. But no more singing!"
I hope they can't sing anymore. Devon then said while he did a strange position, "How about interpretive dance?" Garret sighed and I said, "I'm so going to regret this now. When we would remember it was Kayley's idea."
Kayley looked at me and she giggled. She said, "Emma you amaze me." I sighed with a smile and shook my head.
We have to make camp for the night and fast.
