Chapter Three
It's getting late and they haven't seen Sam since he stormed off. "Let's get back to the bike. It's getting late and we should get home." Lily tells him. She still hasn't quite shaken off Sam's early attack, but Michael has been good with getting her mind off it. He took her on all the rides and they stopped at multiple games. He won her a bunch of prizes that she put in the car before they had gone off to check out the stalls. Now they begin to make their way back to the parking lot to get the bike.
As they grow closer they see none other than Sam on Michael's bike with the girl from last night. "You got to be fucken kidding me." Michael doesn't like people touching his bike, never mind driving it. Only he drives it and he grants the permission for a passenger. Seeing Sam on it with that girl, Lily knew Michael is pissed. "What the fuck do you think you're doing, Sam?" Michael demands as he walks over.
"I'm going for a ride with Star." Michael clenched his jaw. Lily can see the blood boiling.
"On my bike? You're fifteen, Sam. You don't know how to drive."
"I do too." He sounds even younger with that comeback.
"Get off the bike, Sam."
"Fuck hou, Mike."
"Sam, I'm not playing. That's my bike and I'm telling you to get your ass off it."
"Or what?" Oh this boy is just asking to be killed. Lily grips Michael's arm to keep him from going and strangling his brother. She doesn't dare say anything, it'd just make the situation worse. The brunette seems to be loving this. It makes Lily sick to see the girl grinning. Does she get off seeing two brothers fighting like this? Lily hates girls like that.
Before anyone can say anything else the sound of bikes roaring fills the air. Suddenly they're surrounded by the bikers from last night. She can see the platinum-haired man and Marko, along with two other guy and a young kid. The kid looks to be only six. His hair is long and messy, constantly getting into eyes. His hair is light brown and his eyes are hazel. He's wearing an old fashion looking jacket, a black band tee, black jeans, and his own little black boots that just makes him look even cuter. She always liked kids. The man he is riding with is sexy. He is a Native American with long black hair. It reaches just past his shoulders in thick straight gloss. His skin is red with a strange paleness to it. He's wearing no shirt with just a black leather jacket on that has cool yellow detailing to it. His jeans are black and tight and he has a pair of black boots on. He also has a bunch of bracelets on his wrist and cool necklaces. To top it off he has a fang hanging from his ear.
He's not looking at her though. He is staring right at the girl, who she assumes is Star especially with how he's staring at the girl. He is looking at her with a dark glare, hatred and anger shining in his eyes. He's staring at the girl as if he wants nothing more than to kill her. It surprises Lily, but doesn't scare her. It's not her he's glaring at and for some reason she felt completely safe with all these guys.
The other guy is blonde as well. He has wild dirty blonde hair that looks like something out of twisted sister. He has an old looking jacket on as well. It's not nearly as cool as Marko's jacket, but it still is nice. It's long, going almost to his knees and looks like a very dark blue with a strange chain hanging over his right shoulder. He has the sleeves pushed up revealing his different bracelets. He is wearing a black fishnet shirt beneath it that does nothing to hide the surprising amount of muscle he has. He is wearing a pair of dirty jeans that are bright white. His boots are tall and almost to his knees. All these guys are so strange and out there, but they're also cool and interesting. He too isn't looking at her though. He's glaring right at Sam, looking at him as if he is a bug under his shoe that he so wants to step on.
"Where are you going Star?" The leader asks.
"For a ride. This is Samuel."
"Samuel?" Lily whispers under her breath. Since when did Sam go by Samuel? He never goes by Samuel. He always goes by Sam.
"Let's go." Sam says.
"Not on my bike." Michael says, now standing beside Sam and giving him a look that clearly said to get off the bike.
"Star." The leader says in a tone that warns of no arguing. There's a moment of intense silence before the girl moves away from Sam and the bike and over towards the leader. The guy with the crazy hair laughs, while Marko just shakes his head. She can see him looking unhappily at Star. He really didn't like her.
"Do you know where Hudson's Bluff is overlooking the point?" The leader asks, but he's not looking at Sam. He's looking at Michael and Lily, who stood to the side of Sam and the bike. The man asks in a different tone than how he addressed Star. His voice is soft and gentle, welcoming as he looks at Michael and Lily.
"I can't beat your bike." Michael says. His bike was cheap and it isn't nearly as flashy as theirs, he knows that, but he is not ashamed. He worked hard to get this bike and it may not be the best, but he loved it. So he didn't sound upset about his words. He was just stating a fact.
"You don't have to beat me. You just have to try and keep up." The man says before holding out a gloved hand. "I'm David." Lily glances at Michael who seems hesitant for a second before shaking the man's hand.
"Michael. This is Lily." Lily gives the leader a shy smile. He looks at her and gives her a warm soft smile that causes butterflies to erupt inside her. She chances a glance at Michael, but he doesn't seem upset. Over the past year Michael always showed jealousy and anger when another man looks at Lily the way this man is and yet… this time Michael doesn't seem bothered by David looking at Lily as if he wants nothing more than to kiss her.
"I can't leave my brother." Michael says, but Lily can tell he really much wants to at this point.
"Lily can ride with me." Marko speaks up. Michael hesitates.
"I'd rather she rides with me. No offense, but I don't know any of you."
"It's okay, Mikey. I know Marko. I met him yesterday." She reassures him. "I don't mind riding with him."
"Yeah, we got to know one another yesterday." Marko says shyly, his thumb once more in front of his mouth to hide the shy grin he has, but it can't hide the soft blush in his cheeks. The twisted sister snickers and elbows Marko, causing Marko to glare and kick the guy. The guy goes to hit his arm when the leader speaks up, not even sparing them a glance.
"Boys." Twisted sister glares at Marko and rubs his leg, which makes Marko grin. The guy's dark green eyes promise revenge later. "Problem solved." David smiles. "Sammy can ride with you." Sam glares at David, but thankfully does say anything.
Lily walks over to Marko. He holds out his hand and she takes it in hers before climbing onto the bike. "Hold on, Lily." She wraps her arms tightly around his stomach and rests her chin on his shoulder.
"Come on." The hall take off down the boardwalk. The people walking back shout at them, but they all ignore them and face down the stairs. She hugs him tighter and giggles at the fun path they chose. She glances back at Michael to see him looking a bit nervous, but he too looks to be having fun.
They ride across the sand. Marko is a much more risk taker than David. Him and the twisted sister guy are racing each other. The other guy is doing crazy tricks and stunts that Marko thankfully holds back from doing. They race into the woods where there is barely any light. As if to make matters worse a fog begins to roll in. "Michael, doesn't have as strong of a light on his bike." She says into Marko's ear.
"David won't let anything happen." Marko promises as they all race over roots and rocks. As fast as they're all going Marko has complete control over his bike. She doesn't feel any danger of crashing. She feels safe.
Michael manages to catch up and is right beside David. The two grin at each other. "Come on." Sam says, causing her to frown. She has no idea what is going on with Sam lately, but she's worried. "Come on, Michael." Her eyes widen as she sees Sam move his foot over Michael's, forcing him to go faster.
"Sam stop." Michael says, trying to get Sam's foot off his, but it's a bad angle.
"Michael, stop!" David calls out. Sam presses harder on the accelerator.
"Mikey, stop!"
"Michael!"
"There's a cliff up ahead!" Marko calls out.
"Sam get off! Stop! Sam!" Michael is unsuccessful in getting Sam to back off. It's as if Sam's foot was a brick. Completely unliftable.
"Michael!" David shouts. David and the Native American races forward to try to get Sam off but the cliff is getting too close. Michael jerks the handle bars to make the bike skid away from the cliff and ends up on the side.
"What the hell is wrong with you? You could have fucken killed us? What the ruck, Sam!" Michael shouts at Sam as they stand up.
"Are you guys okay?" The twisted sister asks, actually looking concern for them.
"What the hell are you doing, huh?" Sam suddenly shouts at David as if it was David's fault.
"Woah." Twisted sister and Marko both jump off to grab Sam, but it's too late. Sam punches David right in the face.
"No!" Lily shouts. The Native American pulls Sam back with the help of the two blondes.
"What the hell, Sam. Stop!" Michael demands, pushing Sam back. Lily moves towards David without thinking, turning his face towards her to see the damage. His lip is split and there's some blood, but it isn't bad, not that she expected it to be too bad. Sam is only fifteen and he isn't athletic like Michael. Her eyes meet the icy blue of David's.
"Sorry." She goes to take her fingers away from his split lip that she has been carassing, but David catches her hand and moves her hand to his cheek.
"It's fine." He says, his voice all soft and sweet.
"I'm sorry that he hit you. I don't know what got into him."
"I'm just glad it wasn't his brother. I barely felt the hit. Something tells me Michael packs more of a punch."
"Yeah, he definitely does." The two stare at one another for a moment. It's like they are in their own world. Her fingers gently caressing his cheek and his thumb rubbing gentle circles into the back of her hand. They are staring deeply into one another's eyes, staring right into each other's souls.
"Just you! Just you!" Sam demands, breaking up their moment and pulling them apart. Sam's completely out of his mind! He has really lost it. She goes to move away from David, but he wraps his arm around her waist and nearly pulls her onto his lap. Star has long since left his side and is now standing off to the side and watching the scene unfold with a sick pleased smile on her face. "Come on! Just you!"
"Sam, knock it off." Michael says with exasperation and anger.
"Come on, just you." He says in a more calmer tone, but he still has that burning anger in his life eyes and it's making her uncomfortable.
David looks up at Sam, a grin coming to his face that leaves nothing but a cold and dreadful fear inside you. "How far are you willing to go, Sammy?" He asks in a patronizing tone, mocking Sam and his immaturity between the lines.
An: So Sam is getting a bit uncontrollable. That temper of his is really get out of control. Really just how far is Sam willing to go?
