Author's note: Alright, I'll say this. The support for the last chapter was beyond ridiculous. I really wasn't expecting it, but here we are. Chapter two, Imposter. I'll just say, it's gonna be a little rough in the middle for certain characters, but the ending is really sweet, so I'm excited for you to read it. This is where the story really starts, so here you go, chapter two. Enjoy.

Chapter Two:
Imposter
The chilled breeze bends around her as she flies just above the forest line. She had seen him run off in that direction and it was a sure enough bet that that's where he would be. He had to be smart enough not to go back to the castle. He just had to.
His situation was terrible though. She remembered the look on his face as well as that of Luz. There was a stark difference though.
From the second that they had materialized in the Owl House, neither had control of their breath. Luz was panting hard, but the Golden Guard didn't even seem like he was breathing at all. He had simply stared at the ground until his palisman came to his aid.
It was clear now why he was so worried. He was a grimwalker. She wasn't as… versed as she would have liked to be, but, from what she knew, the story of a grimwalker was one of terror. Much like Luz, he was no witch. It explained why he wasn't able to do magic, but even then, the cruelty that the Emperor must have-
It sickened even her, and she thought she had seen everything.
She was right to have left the kids behind. She had a lot on her mind. Belos was not only dangerous, but he just tried to kill Luz and Hunter. Plus, Luz said that he called himself a "Witch-Hunter". It was all just so much to think about.
Needless to say, things were due to change.
For starters, and Luz wasn't going to be ready to hear it, but she would need to stay on the Isles. There was just no way that they could make a portal, especially now. Especially after they found out that Philip was Belos all along. Especially-
… since the Emperor had his sights set on the Human Realm. She would never be safe.
She didn't deserve any of this. Luz was too kind for her own good. She drew people in without even trying, and when she tried, she never failed. It was cruel to make her go through any of this. Her tears were sacrilege in this paltry world and Eda could do nothing to help.
As she had before, Eda would have to protect the child in her care, and now that she found out that he wanted witches dead, it meant that she would need to pull a lot more people into the fold as well. Whether it be Amity, who she was sure would stick around, Luz's other friends, or even-
Raine. She halted in place as the name plastered itself in the forefront of her mind. Raine was not only close to the emperor, but she was brainwashed. She was helping him and she didn't know. Her mind was captive and only Belos held the key. She was in danger and didn't know that she wanted to be saved.
It was a punishment worse than death to be so unaware. She had to find her. She had to help her regain her memories. She had to-
Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted a small hooded figure. Her eyes locked onto it and she paused for a moment with a confused stare. Her vision wasn't good enough to decipher who or what it was, but she was out here to find Hunter. This was the lead she needed.
With no inhibition, she blasted through the air in the figure's direction. Seeing her, the being turned and bounced away at blinding speed. Eda lowered herself and weaved through the forest.
Branches, brush, and other vegetation slashed against her as the critter seamlessly danced through the forest even faster than Eda on a broom. She hadn't seen a creature so fast. Her mind told her to turn back, but she wasn't one to turn down a challenge.
She furrowed her brow and gritted her teeth. Slowly, she leaned forward on her staff and focused.
"Alright, Owlbert. Let's get 'em," she said, rubbing the Owl's head. Almost instantly, the staff picked up a new level of speed. The creature glanced back and immediately, Eda recognized them.
It was Eberwolf, the leader of the Beast Keeper coven, and they seemed perfectly calm. Something seemed off about that. Eda pressed on, gaining inches in proximity by the second until she was only a foot away.
Eda reached out, nearly getting a hold of the creature's cloak, but they turned around and kicked dirt into her face. She spun out, landing harshly into the ground. She fought her way to her feet again and kicked off, accelerating until she was back at the speed she was at before if not faster. She grit her teeth. Eberwolf tried another tactic.
This time when Eda reached out, she dove into the ground, spinning like a drill. The ground bent around her and swallowed her whole. The critter's cloak ripped as Eberwolf disappeared.
Eda didn't change course. She could see where the beast keeper was even under the ground as she caused ripples around her.
She scoffed, keeping up her chase until the demon sprouted from the ground just in front of her. She held on tight to the staff, barely keeping balance as the coven head stared her down.
Eda didn't aggress. She stepped forward scolding, "What are you doing out here - what are you gonna try to arrest me again, because that won't work."
The beast snarled, flaunting her sharp teeth and claws as if she was about to pounce. Eda raised her staff and furrowed her brow.
"If that's what you want, then-"
She swung her staff towards them, but a voice caught her attention.
"Stop," she heard a familiar voice utter just to her side. Her gaze snapped to the side and she immediately felt a wave of relief.
"Raine," she questioned, dropping her staff as they came into her vision. Raine only glared at the beast, however, remarking "I told you to go get Eda, not to start a fight."
Raine sighed, gripping the bridge of their nose with frustration.
Raine stared at the ground, speaking with a tinge of annoyance "Eda, what did they-"
She gave no warning. Eda had already wrapped her arms around Raine before she had turned to face her. Emotions flowed through her. Words couldn't even describe what she felt. All she could do was hold them.
Raine didn't speak for several dreadful moments, leaving Eda to hope that they weren't still brainwashed, but slowly she felt what she had hoped to feel. Maybe involuntarily, their fingers slowly made contact with Eda's back. Sure enough, their hands followed, and after that, their arms.
She couldn't describe how much it meant. Normally she wouldn't even want to, but after all that she had heard, after all that Raine had been through, after all of the lost time, she couldn't restrain herself.
"I-" words failed her at first. She felt Raine's grip tighten around her. It was all of the affirmation that she could have hoped for, but she still felt that something was off.
She pealed herself away, wiping her face. She hasn't even realized that she was crying. Raine reached out longingly, but Eda turned away. Darius, the coven head of the Abomination track walked behind Raine. Eda nodded in acknowledgment.
"We need to find the kid," she said, refocusing herself and gaining a renewed focus.
"He's in trouble."
…
His breaths were harsh and uncontrollable. He stumbled through brush with a distraught expression. He clenched his fist and thrust it into a nearby tree, falling to his knees as no effect was made.
He was an imposter. He gritted his teeth and shook in place. His palisman hopped behind him, but he couldn't face him.
His life was a lie. Belos wasn't a good man or even a man at all. He was a monster… and Hunter had been serving him throughout his entire life. He plunged his fist into the dirt, a combination of sweat and tears flying off of him.
A strand of hair hung in front of his face, flopping as he plunged his opposite fist into the dirt once more.
"I'm nobody," he cried, driving his gloved hand against the harsh terrain.
His palisman hopped in front of him in an attempt to help, but Hunter lashed out, pushing dirt in his direction.
"Leave me alone," he shouted. The palisman flew to dodge the dirt and promptly landed in front of him. He glared at the palisman, his shoulders tensing as a boiling tear fell from his eye.
His voice quivered, "I'm not even the real Hunter," he told his devoted companion, his shoulders slowly falling as his voice cracked, "Just go. Find someone that deserves to call you theirs."
The palisman chirped, hopping closer to him and leaning against his dangling fingers.
He closed his eyes. A flurry of sorrowful saltwater dropped to the ground as he turned away.
"Stop it," he commanded, his body shaking.
The bird hopped onto his hand, chirping at him. His lip quivered. He didn't respond.
A silence fell in between the two. He opened his eyes and fell onto his back, absentmindedly staring at the stars above.
"I have nowhere to go," he remarked in a hoarse tone. The bird chirped at him. He tossed his glove aside and wiped his face of sweat. His eyes continued to gloss over.
"I can't go back to the castle. He knows that me and Luz were in there. He'd-"
His thoughts were interrupted by his companion. His eyes widened at the palisman's suggestion. He didn't respond, instead continuing to stare upward.
Neither made a sound for several minutes until Hunter finally spoke again.
"Even if I wanted to-" he hesitated, "I can't go there either. They hate me."
Flapjack chirped at him again. He quickly rolled over and glared at him, refuting "I've tried to capture them several times, and-" he paused, "just-" he struggled, "Why would they want to take me in. I'm-"
"I'm just a grimwalker."
They each fell silent. His eyes were dry. He had never cried before. This was a new feeling for him, hollow even. His eyes shimmered as the stars stared back at him. He was unwanted. He was useless. He was lost.
Belos's hollow heart had turned him into a hollow husk of empty skin. He was nothing.
…
Twigs snapped under them as they scouted the forest. Eda continually snuck glances toward Raine, and just as she would look away, they would stare back at her. Like a perpetual cycle, the two continued this, neither knowing what to say besides simply knowing that they wanted to say something.
Then there was Darius. Every time that she would look back, he would have a disgusted expression. He wasn't much of a nature person, and it was dark, dirt everywhere. It was certainly not a place he wanted to be, but every time that Raine would mention it, he would make an excuse for staying.
"I need to get my steps in" he would say, or "You three would probably let him get away."
It was clear he didn't want to leave, but Eberwolf's constant prodding certainly didn't help. It was a sweet gesture nonetheless. At some point, they just stopped talking, though, which was odd. There was so much to be discussed. None of the coven heads knew what the teens had seen, and yet they were legitimately more concerned at Hunter's well-being than their mission. It said a lot about them. They really cared about him.
There was a certain anxiety, though. It was all just so much to handle, so much to grapple with. The Emperor was evil. They knew that already, as Belos didn't do much to hide his sinister nature, but it was cruel. So many innocent souls idolized him, making excuses for his erratic behavior. They wouldn't believe it if Eda showed them proof.
That was a terrifying thought.
They had no allies. They would be hated for fighting back, even by those they were trying to help. And then there were the kids. Much like the adults, they thought so highly of Belos. It was going to take a lot to sway their opinions, especially if her near-petrification hadn't shown them how terrible he was.
"Hey, do you guys think we could-"
A gloved finger moved over her mouth. She stared at it confusedly before pushing it aside and following Darius's eyes into the forest. They heard faint chirping. They immediately refocused, following the sound while moving slowly so as to not scare him off.
Each step was careful. They couldn't see him yet, but they wanted to see him before he found them. People who have nothing are unpredictable. The only difference was that this person only thought they had nothing.
The foursome of witches, led by Darius, met the peak of a small hill. The man raised his hand, signaling them to stop. Eda slowly turned to Raine, who was already staring back at her. Not a word was said, but an understanding was made.
Darius slowly inched forward, watching where he placed his feet with profound coordination. Eda and the others followed with equally careful pace. None initially broke the silence, but behind Eda and Raine, Eberwolf was growing restless.
The creature picked up its pace. Both Eda and Raine's eyes widened as they recklessly stepped past the two, closing in on even Darius. The man turned around and spotted Eber's advances. His eyes widened. He raised his pace slightly.
Eberwolf didn't seem to care. They only continued to accelerate until they were in a dead sprint. With an exasperated sigh, Darius met the same speed by transforming into abomination goop. Eberwolf was the first to make it to the boy, with Darius rising from the ground just past him in an attempt to stop him from running.
He was still quick to his feet, backing away from the two with terror in his eyes. Darius tried to calm him.
"Hunter, you're going to be okay, we're here to-"
Flapjack flew to the tip of his staff and into Hunter's hands. The boy pointed his staff at the two threateningly. "Please," he pled in a raspy voice, "Just let me go. I don't wanna cause any trouble."
Darius reached forward, jerking back as Hunter waved his staff at the man. He raised his hands calmly, trying to defuse the situation. "Stop, Hunter, we're just trying to help," he pled.
The boy's shoulders tensed. Eda and Raine finally caught up to the two and stood in front of him. He seemed confused, even more than before.
"You're lying," he said, "-You're all lying. You work for the emperor. He just wants you to catch me," he reasoned, continuing to wave his staff around.
Eda stepped forward, reaching out as she had only minutes ago. Panicked, he pointed his staff at her. A red beam shot from the tip, hitting her directly in the chest. She flew back and snapped against a tree. Raine turned and glared at him, quickly running to Eda's side.
"I-" he gasped, "I didn't mean to-"
Words failed him. He turned to Darius. The man's face was ridden with second-hand guilt. His hands shook around his staff. He watched as Eda struggled to her feet and dropped his staff.
"I-" he continued trying to speak, but couldn't find the strength. All eyes were on him. He felt crushed under the immense pressure of their gaze. He wanted to run away but had nowhere to go. He was not only guilty but he was trapped.
His head felt light and his legs felt weak again. His palisman flew from its staff onto his shoulder, chirping at him.
"Hunter, please, we don't want to take you to the Emperor," Darius explained in a sincere tone.
"We just want to help."
His eyes welled up with fresh tears. Eberwolf tilted their head. Eda limped towards him, leaning on Raine for support. Darius held out a hand, pulling his glove off as he noticed that Hunter had.
He stared at the man's scarred palm for several seconds. Every ounce of his being screamed at him to run away while he still had the chance, but he couldn't move his legs. Another voice in his head told him to reach out and meet the man's hand, but he just couldn't. Darius was a coven head. All coven heads worked for Belos. He had to be lying, just like everyone else did.
He opened his mouth to speak again but failed as he had before. He wasn't sure if it was for lack of words or lack of truth. He just couldn't.
He retracted his hand and wiped his eyes, furrowing his brow and walking towards them. Wordlessly, they parted. He passed them and walked into the forest. After a quick exchange of glances, the adults all followed.
As he walked through the forest, he noticed a ridge overlooking the boiling sea. He walked to the edge and sat down, looking out with wandering eyes.
The adults stood several feet away, none sure of what to say. None would mention it, but there was a lingering fear that he wouldn't step away from the ledge, that he would simply let himself fall off. It was a terrible thought, but it was a thought nonetheless.
Perhaps suppressing their fears was the fact that after a long gaze at the moon, he turned to face them again. Finally, he mustered a sentence.
"What am I supposed to do," he asked, his shoulders low as the adults stepped closer.
The witches all exchanged glances. All were hesitant to step forward and say the wrong thing. Eda was no exception. She wasn't good with kids, or, at least that's what she thought, and she barely knew the kid. She made it work with Luz, but then again, when she found Luz, she hadn't just learned that her entire life was a lie.
Still, she was probably the one with the best maternal skills in the group, having garnered some experience with Luz. So, she stepped forward. As she looked to the side, her eyes widened. Darius had also stepped forward and seemed equally surprised to see Eda try and speak. They each stared at each other for a moment, not in competition, but in analysis. Darius's expression was genuine, that much was clear. Hesitantly, Eda stepped back. Her brow furrowed as she watched him with curiosity.
The man continued to come closer until he stood just behind the ledge. Like Hunter had, Darius took a moment to soak it all in, then, once he felt amply calm and ready, he sat down beside the boy, letting out a long sigh. He looked at the ground with disgust, but as he looked at Hunter's face, he knew that it was more important than his hate for filth.
He took a deep breath, initially not meeting the boy's eye. He wasn't entirely sure what to say, but he knew that he needed to be the one to say it. At first, he thought to tell him that things would be okay—that he would just be able to find a new life and be happy with no interruptions—but that would have been a lie.
The boy needed the truth, but it wasn't as terrible as he would have expected.
"Hunter," Darius began with a soft sigh, "I- I don't really know what you saw in there."
Hunter's face hardened. It was clearly a touchy subject. Hunter almost seemed like he wanted to say something, but as uncomfortable as he looked, Darius felt that it would be better if he were the one to talk.
"...But I know what I've seen." His brows furrowed and hardened. He stared ahead at the crashing tides of the sea. He sighed before explaining further.
"He's always been bad. I know it's probably hard to accept that, but I've known for a while. I just- He's strong. It took a long time to get a chance to get in his mind. I just- I wish it wasn't you who had to see it all."
Hunter looked away, blinking away tears. Flapjack hopped into his lap.
"I wish I had told you sooner," Darius remarked. Hunter faced him again, his eyes red.
"I'm not even real," he said in a cold tone, staring at Darius's confused face. He clarified, "I'm a grimwalker. I'm an imposter. I'm just his puppet and now that I know, he'll kill me."
Darius's expression softened. He turned to the adults for some sort of affirmation, but they all seemed just as confused as himself, except Eda that was. Unlike the others, she simply nodded with a sympathetic face.
"Hunter-" Darius muttered, rubbing his face into his palm. "That's terrible" was all he could muster.
Again, he questioned them, "What am I supposed to do?"
Darius turned to the other adults. "I-" he hesitated, "I'm not used to having company, but I can take him home with me."
Eda stepped forward, arguing, "No, you can't do that, you live in the castle. He would be in more danger there than out here in the forest. I can take him in. I already have Luz and King, so what's one more?"
Hunter turned to her with a face of confusion, "You would want to bring me home with you? But why-"
Eda cut him off, smiling "Well I can't let ole' Belos put you in danger, now can I? I'm already a criminal anyways."
"But-" Hunter muttered, only to let his words die in his mouth. Eda turned to the others. "Well, we should really get going. I need to get back to Luz and the others, but-" she paused, staring elsewhere as she mulled something over, "I expect you three back at the Owl House around—let's say— noon. We've only got five days after tonight. We need to do something."
Darius got to his feet, helping Hunter to his own before returning to the group. "I agree," he said, looking to his comrades, "I think I have a good idea of where to start too."
Raine nodded, "Then noon it is," they remarked.
…
Eberwolf had been the first to leave, having no ability to remain still, but Darius left not long after. With them gone, Raine left after a short hug, remarking to Eda that they had missed her. They couldn't have known how much that it meant.
As for Hunter, he was—indisposed. He didn't say a word on the entire flight to the Owl House. In fact, he didn't even use his own staff. At the time, he had claimed that it was because he didn't want to hurt someone again, which seemed like a fair reason. Her chest and back were fairly sore after it all, but she'd survive.
Apart from the pain, she felt something else—a certain unease that was foreign to her before then. She wasn't one for superstition, but it was clear that nothing would be the same again. The proposed "Day of Unity" was only a night and five days away. She wasn't wrong before, it was time to act.
So, when she got to the Owl House, after letting Hunter back in, she was quick to explain the situation.
She let out a deep sigh as she walked through the front door. Naturally, Luz had fallen asleep, but as they walked through the door, it seemed like they had interrupted a conversation between the other three teens. This, of course, made Hunter feel uncomfortable, which prompted him to need to "Use the little witch's room."
Eda pointed him down the hall and walked into the living room. She sat beside Amity. Willow watched as Hunter walked away, reaching out. He was gone too soon.
"Should I wake her up," Amity asked, seeming concerned.
Eda slumped against the couch, cracking her neck before denying her. "She needs the sleep. Tomorrow could be a long day," she explained.
Gus scooted forward before also inquiring, "So it's all true? The Emperor wants to kill all of the witches?"
Eda sighed. "Yeah, seems that way Dweebus."
The boy scoffed, giving Eda a nice laugh. She needed it.
Willow also scooted forward, questioning her.
"Is he gonna be alright? He's gonna stay here right? I could help. He could stay at my house if-"
"Pump the breaks, kid. I've got it handled," Eda cut in. Willow sighed, clearly still worried.
"On another note," Eda spoke up again, "Unless you three are prepared to stay the night, which you are welcome to do, then you should head home."
Willow and Gus exchanged glances. It was clear that neither was prepared to stay the night. They didn't want to leave, but Eda had a point. Amity on the other hand…
Eda chuckled, "There's an extra sleeping bag upstairs in the closet, make yourself at home."
Amity was quick to oblige, setting Luz's head down against the couch as she ran upstairs. Eda turned to the other two, her smile slowly fading.
"If I were you," she began, pausing as she waited for the two to refocus, "I would debate whether telling your parents is the best thing to do right now. We could use their help, but if they support the Emperor, you could get in a lot of trouble."
Willow and Gus each looked to the ground in thought.
"Like I said, just think about it," Eda said as she turned to Luz.
The teens walked to the door, but just as they were going to step through, Eda caught their attention once more.
"You two should probably come back tomorrow. Luz is going to need some… support."
Wordlessly, they nodded just before stepping through the door. Eda sighed, fully sinking into the couch. Behind her, she heard Amity stomping down the stairs. As Eda turned to face her, she had a strange expression.
"What is it, kid," she questioned, quickly standing up.
After a day like this, Eda was expecting her to ask another hard-hitting question, but, maybe as a blessing, she had something more innocent in mind.
"I-" she hesitated, "I can't lift her. Could you…"
Eda smiled, nodding. Carefully, she lifted the girl from her slumber and carried her up the stairs. As Amity opened Luz's bedroom door, Eda walked in, slowly leaning down to deposit the child. She looked to Amity, smiling, then left the room. There was something beautiful about it, something that she had missed for a long time. What she wouldn't give to have it back.
She pushed her nostalgia away and left the room. She still had one more person to worry about.
As she turned the corner, King scuttled by her, sprinting to the girls' room. Eda smiled, walking down the stairs to see an awkwardly standing Hunter.
"Alright, your turn," Eda remarked, walking into her living room.
"Now, I wasn't expecting… this… today, so I didn't have something prepared for you, but-"
"Miss Eda" Amity shouted from upstairs. Eda slowly turned to see her standing at the top of the stairs, holding the sleeping bag that she had been told to use.
"Luz woke up and told me to sleep in her bed, but when I told her no, she said we could just share, so-"
Eda stared at her incredulously. Her cheeks flushed red.
"Here's the sleeping bag, Hunter can have it," she rushed out, tossing it down the stairs before rushing down the hall. Again, Eda chuckled to herself.
"Alright, so that just happened," she remarked, bending down to pick up the sleeping bag.
"You don't have to say anything, but the couch is probably comfortable enough for now. Just use the sleeping bag and you should survive the night," she explained, handing him the bundle of grey blankets.
He stared at them, confused. Eda turned to walk up the stairs, but as the boy didn't make any noise, she slowly turned back around to see him in the same place as before.
"Do you need some help," she asked, stepping back down the stairs. He didn't say a word or even nod, but his face said it all. She came back to him, taking the bundle of blankets and laying them on the couch.
"So, pretty much… you just-" she paused, climbing into the blankets to make an example, "climb in here like this… and… there, comfy, see?"
He tilted his head.
"What, not funny," Eda questioned, pulling herself out of the blankets.
He shook his head. "It's just-" he began, speaking for the first time since the forest, "I've never slept anywhere besides the castle. I don't know, I just- I'm not used to it is all."
Eda got to her feet and pulled him toward the couch. "I get it," Eda explained, "I had never slept anywhere besides my house before I ran away, but then-" she paused, "...things happened and I had to learn to adapt."
Hunter looked at the blankets nervously.
"I wish you didn't have to learn too, but you know, I think it's a good thing we got you out of there," she explained.
Slowly, he stepped past her and sat himself down on the blankets, feeling them out with his hands. From his shirt pocket, his palisman jumped out and hopped around on it. He smiled.
Eda smiled as well, slowly walking back towards the stairs.
"Eda-" Hunter called. She turned to face him. "I- I mean Miss Clawthorne," he corrected.
"No, it's fine, call me Eda. I've been telling mittens for months, but she still calls me 'Miss Eda' too," she joked.
He fell silent, looking at the ground for several seconds before meeting her eyes once more.
"Thank you," was all he said. No more, no less. She nodded and walked away, waving a finger as she reached the top of the stairs, blowing out all but one candle downstairs.
"Sweet dreams," she said as she left his vision. Finally, she down the hall. Her door was open, but she wanted to check something. Just before her door was Luz's. She placed her ear to the door and smiled. Giggling and murmurs of conversation chirped through the room.
She removed herself and walked to her room, slowly shutting the door behind her as she walked to her bed/nest. She didn't make any delay to fall face-first into her bed. She rolled over and stared at the ceiling.
It was all real.
The Emperor was evil. Conversely, Philip Wittebane was evil and was the Emperor the entire time. Hunter was a grimwalker. Darius, Eber, and Raine were rebelling against the Emperor. It was all just so much, and yet, her back was the only part of her that was hurt.
Funny.
Whatever was coming, it was going to hurt a lot worse. It was only destiny, after all.
…
Author's Note: Okay, so there it is. I wasn't expecting this to get to 5k words, but since it did… cool, I guess. I don't have a lot to say really, though. The support was great, so I needed to get this chapter out. I wish I had gotten it done sooner, but sometimes I don't get what I want, so I can't really complain. Other than that, I just have the next chapter to work on, so I should hurry and get to it. Thanks a ton for reading and I'll see you soon.
Comments/Reviews:
DanielCorcoran: "Nicely done."
- Appreciated my good man.
TheFranninator: "Lilith needs to hear this and Luz needs to tell them about that part of human history. Great chapter! See you next time!"
- That would certainly be an interesting conversation. I'll definitely consider it. Thanks for the nice words!
Mysterious Mr M: "Surprised she didn't say anything about The Collector. Though to be fair, that would be in the back of her mind after the Philip reveal. Can't wait for everyone's reaction to THAT."
- Yeah, not exactly something I was thinking about. She should probably say something. I'll think about it. Thanks for the review!
A Guest: "I really like this story so far. I am really excited to see what is coming next!"
- I'm thrilled that you like it. I hope I didn't disappoint with chapter two. It was a change of pace, that's for sure.
