Just want to make an announcement, Legends of Awesomeness is probably going to be mostly non-canon to this series, nor will spin-offs like Paws of Destiny, sorry for those of you who like those shows. However, the events of Secrets of the Furious Five and the Secrets of the Scroll are canon in this series if the first installment wasn't proof of that already. It also doesn't mean I might not use concepts and characters from LOA, that's still up for debate. With that out of the way, let's begin!

Chapter 4: Battle of Musicians' Village

Po, the Turtles, and the Furious Five raced along the cliff-side at the edge of the Valley of Peace, the ringing of the Musicians' Village bell now within hearing distance which urged them to run faster.

"Get all the metal you can find!" They heard a loud commanding voice, most likely one of the bandits, ordered. "Get all the metal!"

Deciding to make their presence known, Po let out a loud whoop as they made their way down towards the village.

"Wings of justice!" Po yelled, taking a leap of faith off the cliff before being caught by Crane while the others leapt down to a smaller cliff down below.

With Po landing roughly next to them, the group continued their charge before leaping over one last cliff before landing at the edges of the village, Po and the Five taking their stances while the Turtles drew their weapons.

The bandits raiding the village in question were a large pack of wolves, all of them wearing dirtied bits of armor that covered parts of their bodies, and they had whole piles of metal objects gathered by them which they were likely stealing.

"Freeze, dirtbags!" Leonardo growled, gripping his katanas tightly, his and his brothers' eyes narrowed into white slits.

The villagers immediately started cheering at the arrival of their heroes while the wolves themselves looked stunned.

One wolf in particular, the Boss Wolf, his one good eye wider than thought possible at the sights of Po and the Turtles in particular.

"A panda? That's impossible!" Boss Wolf murmured. "And those mask colors, could it be…?"

"Alright, mutts." Raphael spoke, twirling his sais in his fingers. "We can do this the easy way, or – my vote – the hard way."

"My fist hungers for justice." Po said in a dramatically intimidating voice. His stomach then let out a loud gurgling sound, immediately making any intimidation rendered completely moot as the others stared awkwardly at him. "That was my fist." He said sheepishly, blushing a little in embarrassment.

"GET THEM!" Boss Wolf ordered.

"C'mon!" Po shouted.

"Let's do this, team!" Leo yelled.

"Booyakasha!" Mikey cheered as they charged forward, meeting the wolves head on.

Leo performed a strong axe-kick on one wolf, dodging and kicking two more away with a quick cartwheel. He then jumped up to avoid the blade of another wolf, grabbing his head before kneeing him in the back.

Po rapidly dodged the blade of one wolf before grabbing his sword arm and throwing a punch to stagger the wolf before belly-bumping him away.

Monkey slid under the legs of one wolf before pinning another wolf's spear down, taking a pair of cymbals and bashing them against the wolf's head.

Donnie bashed his staff against two wolves before twirling his staff to block the oncoming blade of another wolf. He then sweeped another wolf's feet out from under him before kicking another one away.

Mantis, using his speed, quickly moved any villagers far away from the battle. He then went back to the battle, weaving between the blades of one wolf's swords, shattering them before kicking the wolf in the snout.

Raph slammed one wolf into the wall of one of the houses before dodging another one with a spear. The wolf attempted to swing at him again, but Raph quickly blocked the blade of the spear with his sai before throwing a kick to the wolf's head. With the wolf stunned, Raph easily kicked him down.

One wolf was about to stab Raph in the back of the shell when Mikey came in with a flying kick, sending the wolf crashing into a drum set. The orange clad turtle then dodged the sword swing of another wolf before kicking him and another wolf away. Four more wolves tried to swarm him from all sides, to which Mikey responded by jumping and spinning himself mid-air in a tornado of limbs, knocking all of them into piles of musical instruments. "Aw yeah! You better check yo-self before you wreck yo-self, son!" Mikey quipped.

Viper slithered out of the way of one wolf with a mace before lashing out with her tail like a whip, "Take that!" She yelled, snapping her tail at another wolf.

Tigress came down from the air, her foot hitting one wolf's head and pretty crushing him under her. She then aimed a high-kick at one wolf before pinning a spear aimed at her down with her foot. She then spun around, landing two strong punches on the wolf who had tried to stab her before using her feet to throw the spear at another oncoming wolf, the handle crashing into the wolf's chest.

Up above, several wolves were armed with bows and arrows as they perched on the roofs of the village, taking aim and firing specifically at Po who was distracted by beating up another wolf bandit.

"Po! Incoming!" Mantis yelled, flinging three golden disks to block the arrows before they could land.

"Thanks, Mantis." Po said, punching another wolf away. "Donnie, thousand knives of death!"

Upon hearing his call move, Donnie glanced up at the wolf archers. Observing the area around them, the smart turtle quickly did several mathematical calculations that if he spoke them aloud, no one would understand.

He then grinned upon finishing his calculations before pulling out several kunai and shurikens from his belt and throwing them all in several directions.

The kunai and shurikens sailed through the air, bouncing off walls and other objects and catching the archers off guard as the little metal projectiles pierced non-lethal areas on their bodies, knocking them off the high ground.

"Heh, ha, didn't see that coming, didya?" Donnie laughed a bit, showing his gap-toothed grin as the archers fell to the ground.

"Mikey, dance of doom!" Po shouted over to the party turtle.

"Yeah, boi!" Mikey cheered as soon as he heard his call sign, back-flipping over a wolf behind him and kicking the one behind that wolf. He then began moving in a sporatical and unorthodox way, as if he were dancing to a non-existent tune, dodging all of the wolves blades as he slammed his shell into one before kicking more away with a series of break-dancing moves.

"Raph, turtle temper!" Po called out.

A familiar savage grin spread over Raph's lips as he charged forward like a raging bull, clotheslining two wolves who were unlucky enough to try and stand in his way. He quickly plowed through more of the wolves, bruising and bashing the nonsense out of them with his bare fists.

"Leo, dancing blades of fury!" Po yelled.

"On it!" Leo called back as faced down a large group of wolves. Swiftly, he tossed his twin katanas into the air while he kneeled down before jumping as high as he could, grabbing each katana in his hands before twirling around in a tornado of blades as he came down, the shere impact of his landing creating a shockwave that sent the wolves flying across the grounds of the village.

Several wolves threw a series of axes at Po, forcing the panda to quickly maneuver out of the way as he leapt up to the roof of one of the houses.

The wolves were quickly on his trail, leaping up to the roof in pursuit. Po fought them off as best he could, punching and kicking many of them away, but quickly found himself being overwhelmed by the sheer number of them.

"Tigress!" Po called as the wolves all began to pile on him. "Double death strike!"

Seeing her friend was in trouble, Tigress quickly leapt up the rooftop, grabbing his hands and pulling Po out from under the pile before swinging him like a club at the wolves.

Landing on his feet and still holding Tigress' paws in his own, Po kicked away any more wolves that attempted to climb up to the roof before Tigress jumped up above him, performing a split-kick on two wolves that lunged at them with swords.

As the two fought together, a playful grin actually began to spread on Tigress' lips, looking almost like she was enjoying beating these low-life thugs into the ground with Po. Never before had she felt like this in the midst of battle, even with her friends. The way her heart raced in excitement, the feel of Po's paws as she held them. She felt she could enjoy herself in a fight with him, it was almost like they were doing a dance.

What was this strange feeling?

It really struck her how well they were able to work together in such perfect sync, almost like they had been doing it for years.

However, she didn't have time to dwell on such thoughts as a huge swarm of wolves lunged down from the sky at them like a giant tidal wave.

Still holding hands, Tigress pulled her arms back while Po took a few steps backwards before the feline launched the panda up at the miasma of wolves with all her might.

"Feet of fury!" Po yelled, rapidly kicking the wolves out of the air before being caught by Crane who carried him safely back to the ground.

Seeing that this battle was quickly going south for them, the Boss Wolf let out a loud howl, signaling to the gorilla bandits in the mountains to pull up the piles of metal towards them.

Hearing their commander's signal, the gorillas in the mountains began to hoist the tethered piles of metal up towards them.

"Crane, go!" Leo shouted as he clashed his katana with the sword of another wolf before kicking him away.

"I'm on it!" Crane replied, soaring into the air and cutting a rope to one of the piles which would have fallen into the abyss below had the Turtles, Po, and the Five formed a sort-of chain, grabbing the pile of metal before pulling it back up onto the cliff towards the village.

"Is everybody okay?" Po asked the villagers, who simply cheered loudly in response.

"So to sum up, we kicked bandit butt, stopped them from stealing all the metal, and got them on the run." Mantis summarized.

"All in a day's work." Raph grinned while the others shared a laugh.

Behind them, the Boss Wolf made a last ditch attempt to attack as he charged at them with a large hammer in his paws, going specifically for Po.

Upon seeing the wolf coming at them, the others got ready to fight again when Po suddenly stood in front of them.

"Don't worry, I got this!" Po said with a confident grin, pulling back his fist in a readied punch as the wolf lunged at him…

… and then he saw the symbol on the wolf's armored shoulder.

In an instant, his confident smile faltered as his eyes locked on the symbol; a red circle with a dot in the center, almost resembling an eye, with streaks of red surrounding it.

Immediately, everything around him seemed to fade into nothingness as Po found himself unable to look away, images flashing through his mind.

A cold raging blizzard, snow everywhere…

The loud wails of a baby crying...

Red fire in the woods lighting the air like blood…

The face of a panda woman who looked oddly familiar…

Mother...?

"PO!"

Tigress' voice snapped him back to reality too late as she tried to pull him out of the way and Po felt the hammer bash against his face. Hard.

The swing was so hard that it knocked him down, Tigress with him, and they were sent crashing into the Turtles and the rest of the Five, all of them collapsing in a pile of tangled limbs.

"Chew on that, tubby!" Boss Wolf sneered with a smug grin before rushing back to the piles of metal being hauled away by the gorillas, hopping on as the piles were pulled up into the foggy mountains.

Po, the Turtles, and the Five groaned as they sat up, the villagers already gathering to help their fallen heroes.

"Anyone get the number of that bus?" Mikey mumbled under his breath as he held his head.

"Is everyone okay?" Viper inquired in a motherly tone, looking everyone over for any serious injuries.

"We're cool." Donnie replied, groaning a little.

"Po, what happened?" Tigress asked the panda in a gentle sincere tone, her amber eyes flashing with genuine worry as she helped him up.

Po rubbed his sore jaw, his feet wobbly and his eyes wide and staring ahead into the distance unseeingly, almost like he had seen a ghost.

"I think I saw…" Po trailed off as he noticed the others were staring at him, concerned.

"I think… I gotta go." Without another word, Po jogged away, intending to go to the one place he knew he could find answers.

His dad's restaurant.

Done. Little note is that Leo's "dancing blades of fury" is actually based on one of his moves from the game TMNT Legends.
