Many moons after the destruction of four clans lost to time, a former kittypet by the name of Sun discovers the legacy and teaching of these cats. In the twolegplace where the threats are most dangerous, he wishes to unite a group of cats under this belief. But where there is a rising action there is an even stronger resistance, as the gangs of the streets fight against the change.
