(A/N: I know Draco would not become a Squib because his magic would be more linked to the Malfoy's, perhaps a little less powerful. But Sage does not know this yet. I wanted Sage to learn as she goes. She was raised in the muggle world, so she doesn't know everything she is required to know and she still doesn't know what is required of her as Lady Potter Black. She will learn as she goes, and she has family that will help her).
When she and Dobby entered Gringotts, Sage asked to talk with her account manager. She needed his help with her plans, beginning with suing anyone that has used her name, or those of her parents. No more will people get away with making money by exploiting Sage and her parents. "What can I do for you, Lady Potter Black?" Redaxe asked, and she was stunned. "Black?" she asked. "Your godfather left you everything, including the Black family title," he explained. "Well, in that case, I have members of the Black family to welcome back and members who will be getting disowned," she shared a smirk with her account manager.
"I, Sage Ariana Potter Black, Lady of the Noble and Ancient House of Black hereby blood disown Bellatrix Druella LeStrange née Black and strip her of the Black family magic. So mote it be," she declared, and little did she know, Bellatrix was screaming and withering in pain as her magic was brutally stripped from her, making her a squib. She was now useless. "I, Sage Ariana Potter Black, Lady of the Noble and Ancient House of Black hereby blood disown Narcissa Edith Malfoy née Black, and strip her of the Black family magic. So mote it be," she declared again, before continuing to the last one. "I, Sage Ariana Potter Black, Lady of the Noble and Ancient House of Black hereby blood disown Draco Lucius Malfoy and strip him of the Black family magic. So mote it be," she declared for the final time. Narcissa Malfoy and her little brat were now just above squib status. The reason why she disowned them both was that Narcissa failed to control her son's mouth, and Draco was a spoiled little brat who mistreated and hurt anyone in his way. That was not someone Sage wanted in her family. They were shameful.
"I, Sage Ariana Potter Black, Lady of the Noble and Ancient House of Black hereby welcome Andromeda Dalila Tonks formally Black back into the House of Black as a fully-fledged member. So mote it be," she declared smiling knowing that Andy would know what that meant. "I, Sage Ariana Potter Black, Lady of the Noble and Ancient House of Black hereby welcome Nymphadora Vulpecula Lupin née Tonks as a fully-fledged member. So mote it be," she declared again, as the final flash of magic went through the room. "Redaxe, I would like vaults set up for Mrs. Lupin and her mother. One million galleons each," Sage requested. "It will be done," he said, smirking. This young witch was one he could tolerate, or even come to like in the future.
"Now, I know I will not be able to access my family vaults until I am seventeen, but I would like to know how much money I have in my trust vault," she requested. "As this is my trust vault, which type is it? I know of three types. Type one is a fixed amount of money that will have to last me until I get access to the main vault, type two is a refilling type that returns the balance of the vault to the starting amount on a fixed date, and type three would add a certain amount either monthly or yearly," she said, smiling at his expression of stunned disbelief. Over the years, Sage has taken financial classes every summer, so she would know how to handle her wealth responsibly.
"It is type three. Every year on your birthday, fifty thousand galleons are deposited into your personal vault from the family vault. Seeing as you barely use your personal account, you have well over 800,000 in it," he explained. Sage was stunned. She wasn't frugal by any means of the word, but she did not spend money willy-nilly. "I would like you to take half of that and invest in whatever business venture you think will make it big. You will get forty-five percent of the profits," she requested, knowing that no one witch or wizard with her wealth would ever offer something like that. "Invest in all of the shops in Diagon Alley, and buy shares in every magical newspaper. Although, I want you to buy out the Daily Prophet and fire Rita Seeker and the rest of the staff, and in their place, hire Remus Lupin, Mr. and Mrs. Weasley, and Hesta Jones. It is time a firm hand took control of that paper," She continued. "It will be done," he swore. This young lady would make him a wealthy goblin by the end of the year.
"Please pass me letters or details of everything you think I need to know through my house-elf Dobby. I don't want Voldemort and his minions to get wind of everything I am doing. Although, they probably already know some of it considering I disowned Narcissa and Bellatrix," she mused aloud. "They know," Redaxe muttered certainly. "I would like you to sue the Ministry for taking ownership of the Potter cottage in Godric's Hollow," angry that they turned her home that she had shared with her parents into a monument. "Also, sue anyone that has made money on me and my parents," she requested. "My pleasure," Redaxe smirked as he made note of everything Lady Potter Black requested.
"The last thing I need is a lineage test and I need for your curse breakers to go through Number 12 Grimmauld Place and take anything dark out of it, and either destroy them or cleanse them. Lastly, I know Potter Manor wasn't destroyed or damaged in the attack on my grandparents, so I would like the manor to be warded in everything imaginable. I don't want any chance of me or the people I'm closest with to be found," she requested, and five minutes later, she had her results. She was the sole heiress of Peverell and Gryffindor, and of course, the Potter family, and Black family (though she did bring Andy and Tonks back into the family). The last two family's stunned her. By Right of Conquest, Sage inherited the Slytherin and Gaunt vaults. She requested all of her vaults be combined into one, with blood protection. She had also set up a vault for the Order. She had also told Redaxe to send their best to harvest the basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets.
Before she left the bank, Redaxe told her Potter Manor would be ready to inhabit at the end of the week. Sage was grateful for that because that was her family home, and there is where she will live, and spend her life. The shops don't open this time of morning except for the Leaky Cauldron, so she rented a room for a few hours of sleep. When she woke up a few hours later, Sage ate breakfast, then went shopping. She knew she needed everything a witch required, and since the Dursleys couldn't stop her from having her belongings any longer, she went a little overboard.
Sage's first shop was the trunk shop as she wanted a new trunk that offered enough space for her belongings, would have the potential to include more than the items for just one year, and had a safety system that would only allow her to access certain parts. So the first thing she bought after getting a hundred galleons from her trust vault was a four-compartment trunk with enlarged compartments. One compartment was a full one was a walk-in wardrobe whose parts, like drawers for her socks, underwear, shirts, pullovers, and pants, apart for hanging her robes without them wrinkling, a set of shelves for her shoes and some general hangers, could be chosen by labeled plates at the side of the compartment. Sage just had to place her hand on the symbol, for example, a drawer for socks, and the compartment would turn to that part. It also had places for her jewelry.
The second compartment was a general storage area that worked like the first compartment. With students of Hogwarts, there always were many things they needed to transport and in the case of potion ingredients some of them were better stored apart from other things or they could damage them. The apothecary normally packed them safely, but what the student did over the school year was another matter completely. So the labels were for the ingredient shelves, the writing equipment, parchment, ink, and quills, the cases here were built specially to hold up to twenty bottles of ink safely in a box with single partitions for each bottle. Then there was an area for toiletries and towels, another area for Quidditch gear, and the last part for various things.
The last compartment was a miniature library with currently ten bookcases that could each hold about a hundred books. The bookcases could be labeled by the owner of the trunk and the plates at the side would adapt accordingly. Then there was a full equipt potions lab with safety measures to avoid getting hurt. It was the perfect trunk for somebody like Sage who was in the middle of this blasted war with Voldemort and his bootlicking Death Munchers. It was the kind of trunk the well-to-do students would bring with them, but nothing most couldn't afford. Of course, Sage made sure the convenience charms like a feather-light charm, an auto-shrinking feature, keying the trunk to him only and anti-destruction runes for elemental damage like fire and water were included. The trunk cost Sage thirty galleons, but she reckoned as she intended to use this trunk for a long time, for the remaining years at school, it would be a good investment. She had also purchased a school bag with the same charms as the truck had.
The next stop was Flourish and Blott's to buy her books. She would buy her school books when she got her Hogwarts letter. Sage purchased seven books on each subject along with three advanced books for each of them. Transfiguration, Charms, Potions, History of Magic, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Astronomy and Herbology. She had chosen three different advanced books on medical potions and spells. Two of which were thick-bound medical books, one showed diagrams of wand movements for charms and spells, while the second was an encyclopedia of all known medical spells and charms and what they were common and not so commonly used for.
She then went through all the sections and got more books. She took some on magical history, especially the one about the first civil war against Voldemort, one on the government, a beginner book about traditions and culture, a general guide to potions, an overview about all subjects taught at Hogwarts, a book about all magical schools in Europe, a guide to professions in the magical world, a book about magical creatures, a guide for muggleborns into the magical world as she knew she needed the book since she had been muggle-raised, a report on goblins, the current magical commercial register. Another on warding, one on magical languages, one on another period of history than the ones Sage already had.
Sage also bought 'Potion Opuscule' by the same author of her potion textbook, which was a very useful manual for beginners that explained things such as why some potions required a certain metal for the cauldrons and not others, why certain ingredients needed to be sliced, others crushed, etc, and why the number or direction of the stirrings affected the brewing of the potions. All things she would have found extremely useful to know the first time around. Beinging a magical child raised in the muggle world; Sage wouldn't have known what to get seeing as the beginners' guide for potions hadn't been on her list in her first year.
She had decided to acquire some other books as well that she found interesting – other books about potions and alchemy as well, along with many other books. She purchased many other books on Defense. It may have been her best subject, but you never stopped learning what you needed. Besides, with the professors that have been teaching Defense aside from Remus, and Barty Crouch Jr sadly, they lacked what they had needed to know, some books the pureblood children probably studied before entering Hogwarts (etiquette and manners, but also traditions, heritage and customs), some more history books (mostly modern history but not only that) and some books about historical magic, some law books, Hogwarts: A History (because it was about time she read that), some beginners' books of Ancient Runes and Arithmancy (she had decided she would take these two subjects in addition to Care of Magical Creatures but she would forego Divination), some fairytale books she imagined her parents would have read to her as a child if only they had lived, some beginner's guides to learn Occlumency and Advanced Occlumency, two books on Legilimency, (those books would have been nice the year before) and a final two on advanced non-medical potions, some books about healing magic (both spells and potions), some cooking and Housecare books (because those were important to know as well) and some general spell books for everyday use.
She made quick work of picking up enough parchment to last for a whole year as well as selecting four new quills, which one was a pretty peacock feather that was self-inking in every color imaginable. Hedwig had also given her two feathers, one to use as a quill, and another for a custom wand. Sage remembered to pick up a new supply of both black and emerald green ink, and even a royal purple and navy-blue colored ink she spotted
Lastly, she picked up one of the hardback journals she saw on display, choosing one that had a jade green cover that had a beautiful silver rose and lily pattern that intertwined with vines and birds that fluttered across the cover and the thick and hard spine. A solid bird beak clasp kept the journal closed securely the clasp was in the same silver color as the pattern, which had tiny dark blue stones on the wings and for the eyes.
The pages were of the highest quality and pure snow-white in color and had a texture that felt smooth like satin, instead of the pale brownish color of the parchment used for school. The journal would possibly last Sage's whole life with its never-ending pages. It would need to last that long with the kind of life Sage lived there would never be a lack of information to grace the pages. The journal was around four inches thick and was the kind that never ran out of paper, allowing you to store previous entries that you could look back on with a tap of your wand and think of the date of the entry. Tapping the cover with your wand and thinking of where you last left off would turn automatically to that page. It was perfect if you were the kind of person who had issues keeping track of when and what they had written. It was perfect and so very pretty, Sage loved it on sight when compared to the other two options, which were a combination of black and red, and pink and silver. She knew she would keep and only use her new blue ink for when she wrote in the journal.
Her next stop was for magical contact lenses and new glasses that would frame her face perfectly, in a stunning purple that made her hazel eyes pop. Sage then went and purchased a golden perch with food and water bowls attached for Hedwig. She then went clothes shopping. She purchased jackets, jumpers, sweaters, tops, t-shirts, blouses, dress pants, shorts, skirts, dresses, and jeans in different colors. She then purchased some workout clothes. Sage also got sneakers, Mary-Janes, boots, heels, and sandals. Sage was then measured for robes and cloaks, formal, informal, business, and evening ones made of velvet, satin, silk, lace, brocade, embroidery, some casual cotton, and wool, the wool was similar to cashmere in emerald green, mint green, black, purple, lilac, gold, silver, pale periwinkle blue, sapphire blue, ivory, white, cream and finally a scarlet red. A few of them had extra detail. The white, ivory, gold, silver, lace, brocade, and embroidery were kept to a minimum, such as collars, sleeves inner lining, or arranged on certain sections of the evening robes and cloaks. But only seven of them had the Potter, Peverell, Gryffindor, and Black crests. She did not want anyone to know that she was now the heiress of Gaunt and Slytherin. It would come out after the war.
Sage's next stop with Tonks was Twilfitt and Tatting's for a full traditional wizarding wardrobe (robes and cloaks in various colors that, according to the shop assistant, would suit her complexion, but also nightgowns, undergarments, scarves, and gloves) and then to Madame Malkin's for her school uniform (she bought three of them), a pair of protective gloves (made of dragonhide) for Potions, a black winter cloak and a black pointed hat, and for some muggle style clothes as well. She also purchased another wardrobe for everyday use that had charms on them to allow growth. She purchased jackets, jumpers, sweaters, tops, t-shirts, blouses, dress pants, and jeans in different colors. She then purchased some workout clothes. Afterward, she went to another shoe shop to buy various other types of shoes: running shoes, comfortable shoes, saddle shoes (she knew how to ride a horse), and boots as well for the winter season. Once she had put everything inside her new trunk, she continued with her shopping.
Their next stop was Dragon Delights. Sage purchased more jackets, long and short, knee-length skirts, trousers, dress coats, waistcoats, wallets, purses, handbags, and even backpacks. She even spotted notebooks, folders, photo albums, and even boots and high heels all covered in dragonhide. She got one of everything from each dragon. The Chinese Fireball, the Hungarian Horntail, the Swedish Short-Snout, the Common Welsh Green, and lastly, the Norwegian Ridgeback.
Next, they went to Ollivander's for wand holsters, and in Sage's case, a new and better wand. Hers had broken the previous year. It was eleven inches with the combined woods of the Elder and Holly trees. The wand had a triple-core of a phoenix feather, unicorn tail hair, and the feather from her familiar, Hedwig, who was, of course, a moon owl. And for the finishing touch, the wand had a strand of her hair. It felt better than the Holly wand she purchased when she was eleven. The wand holsters were made from a Hungarian Horntail. They were for her wrist, thigh, and ankle. They were charmed so her wand would always return to her. As she now had her parents' wands, she would use them as back up seeing as they felt the same as her wand.
When the Order showed up, she wasn't surprised that they arrived, but she was surprised that it took them so long to arrive. "Young lady, you worried everyone," Remus said, hugging her close. "I'm sorry," she said hugging him, breathing in his ink and book scent. He always smelled like he lived in a library. "Are you done shopping?" Molly asked her surrogate daughter. "I am until I get my Hogwarts letter," Sage said, smiling and hugging her taking in her calming scent. She has always smelt like fresh baked goods.
"Let us go home, then," Mr. Weasley said, before apparating them outside of headquarters.
