Summary: After being shown her future a week before she was due to arrive in Forks, Washington, Isabella Swan decides to change everything. (Bella/Embry)

Bella's eyes flew open, jumping out of bed, she was relieved to know it was a dream. Well, a nightmare is more accurate. She had a grandmother that was from the reservation, so Bella understood what happened. She had been taken on a vision quest, so she would be able to change events from accruing. There was no way that she was going to be forced to become a bloodsucker and birth a demon spawn. The only reason why the Cullen's wanted her in their coven was because of her shield. But what they failed to understand was it wasn't a shield, but it was the spirits protecting her until her mate could.

The only vampires in that fucked up coven that had actually cared about her as a person were Jasper and Emmett. They are the ones that protected her on her vision quest from the demon spawn. In the vision quest, the little monster could control thoughts, so Bella was forced into giving birth to that demon. Once it had been separated from her body, Bella had complete control of herself. In the quest, upon her awakening from a forced vampire transition, Bella and Jasper killed the spawn and blamed it on a passing nomad.

Years passed, and Bella was miserable. The Cullen's forced her to protect their coven on the threat of death for her father and the reservation. Turned out, Embry was her mate and when Bella turned into a vampire, he died the second her heart stopped beating. Fifty years after his death, Bella could no longer stand existing in a world without him, so she committed suicide via the Whitlock coven. They hadn't wanted to, but they knew that a vampire couldn't live without their mate. They didn't put her out of her misery until after the Cullen coven was dead, so Bella would know she achieved justice.

Bella wasn't going to allow anything like that to happen, so she planned. She got in contact with the elders and explained what had happened, and asked them if she and her father could live on the reservation. They granted permission, not that they needed it. Charlie's mother had been Quileute, and he was the half-brother of the Chief of the Tribe, Billy Black. Thankfully, no one in the Tribe had an issue with it.

Bella was going home and making some much-needed changes. The first beinging, a true accounting of the vampire world, and she now had the knowledge required for true journal entries. Charlie had been stunned when Bella told him she was finally coming home to where she belonged. The thing is, Bella has always known that the reservation and Forks, was her home, but Renee wouldn't let her move back, claiming that Bella wouldn't find true happiness without sunshine. Well, Bella was now almost eighteen, and she was taking control of her life.

It was time people accepted that Bella was not a controllable person. That included her father. She was old enough to make her own decisions. Hell, she had been taking care of herself her years because her mother was too selfish to allow Bella to be a child. If she was honest with herself, Bella hated her mother. Renee robbed her of her childhood.

It was time for that woman to grow up. That was why Bella was moving home, and that was why Phil left. He couldn't handle Renee's selfishness. Hell, the first few times Charlie sent child support checks, Renee spent it on worthless crap. Bella had told her father what Renee had done, he opened a bank account for Bella with a debit card for children, so she would have everything she needed. But Bella was so good a spending money on what required replacing and for school, that it grew over the years with the help of the allowance Charlie sent her monthly, which was roughly two hundred dollars as he took out fifty from each check and wired it into her account. Bella also added money from her part-time jobs and summer jobs. Renee knew nothing about it, thankfully.

Anyway, Bella decided to leave early, shipped her belongings home, and switched her bank account over to Forks bank. She was going to drive home, but now that she knew the Cullens were after her, Bella wasn't going to take unnecessary risks. Before too long, she and her father would be under the pack's protection. Another thing she decided was to graduate from high school early and take online college courses. She was years above other teenagers her age due to her eidetic memory. Bella wasn't going to force herself to attend high school in slow motion, and neither was her father.

Bella has always wanted to be a teacher. She wanted to teach the third grade. Children that age were eager to learn and just old enough to have some good discussions. They were little sponges. Anyway, Bella couldn't be happier to be going home, even with a shadow hanging over her arrival. It was disheartening that she couldn't enjoy beinging home with her family without worrying when the Cullen's would come barging into her life. She knew she was going to be protected, but it was nerve-wracking. After she shipped her entire bedroom out to the reservation, Bella decided that her Phoenix clothing wasn't suited for Washington weather, so she donated everything, apart from her leather jackets, and went shopping.

Bella purchased light-weight, but warm winter coats, jackets, umbrellas, scarves, a waterproof over the shoulder book bag, so she wouldn't worry about her college books, because even though she was going to be taking online college courses, she was going to attend the local Community college in Port Angeles. She bought jeans, boot cut, hipsters, skinny, any and all types of jeans, long-sleeved shirts, sweaters, flannel shirts, winter boots, ankle boots, and many other items she needed.

Bella also got her hair trimmed, layered, styled, and shorter, so it's not in the middle of her back, but at a medium length. Bella loved her long hair, but it was difficult to take care of. It also caused some bad headaches. Her bangs framed her face perfectly.

"Time to make some changes," Bella muttered under her breath when she boarded the plane.
