Chapter 1: My Daughter

The King of the Woodland realm had long since given up hope of his daughter returning home. Elanor has been missing since just after her coming of age. His ray of shining star was never going to be coming home. He just hoped wherever she was that she was living a rich, full life of love and happiness, she deserved nothing less. Just as he thought that, a flash of light that shown so brightly, they had to shield their eyes, after it faded, Thranduil was stunned. Stood in front of, was his daughter, his princess.

"Ada," she greeted, but from the tortured look in her eyes, she has seen death and despair.

"My daughter. Where have you been?" he asked, taking her into his arms, noticing how she flinched as though she was expecting to be struck or attacked.

"I was in a different world known as Terra. The so-called leader of the Light forces had used an ancient spell, and summoned me. He performed a complex ritual giving me magical powers, then de-aged me to that of a newborn. Needless to say, I was used as a weapon to kill a dark lord. I suppose that was my only purpose because it's just after the battle, and I was sent home," she explained. "I still have the powers the man forced upon me, so I'm guessing that the Valar allowed me to keep it," she continued, finally relaxing into her father's embrace.

Thranduil has never been so angry. His daughter has been used in an unimaginable way. He wished he could put a sword through the one responsible. His daughter suffered and faced war due to the actions of one man. Before he could say anything, another flash went through the room, leaving behind well over a hundred trunks. His daughter beamed, stepping towards them. "What are they?" he asked.

"The deceased Lord and Lady Potter had left me everything upon their deaths. They knew I was not their daughter, but they loved me as their own. After the death of their son, Harrison James, they had given up hope of having children. The man who had summoned me, knew that they could no longer have children, and when he told them that I was an orphan, they adopted me," she explained, opening the trunks revealing weapons, clothing, books, money, anything, and everything.

"Elanor," she heard behind her, turning, she saw her twin. "Legolas," she greeted, smiling and rushed towards him, leaping into his arms. "My sister," he said, swinging her around, causing her to giggle. The Dwarrow company, behind him, couldn't help but smile at the cheerful sound.

"Legolas, why are their dwarrow behind you?' his father asked, causing Elanor to beam. She had the gift of foresight, she knew this quest was necessary. "Father, do not do anything to stop them. This quest is necessary for the betterment of Middle-Earth," she said, causing Thorin's eyes to widen in shock.

"Erebor," he said through clenched teeth. "You are going to wake that beast," he announced. "I will not go on this journey with you seeing as you do not trust elves with good reason, but when you get to Dale, send word to the Woodland realm, and I will kill the dragon," Elanor said, causing her father to stand straight. "Young lady, you will not," he commanded.

"Father, I can kill a dragon. The world I was sent to have many ways to kill a dangerous beast. If I do not do this, the people of Laketown will parish," Elanor said, causing everyone to look down in sorrow. No one wanted anyone else to suffer the flames of that beast. "Okay. You can kill the dragon. But what of the madness that lays upon the treasure within?" he asked.

"Thorin Oakenshield. Son of Thráin. Will you allow me to gift you a charmed pendant? It will stop the madness from taking hold until you bond with your One," Elanor asked, and telling him that she knew that Bilbo Baggins was around, and that she knew he was Thorin's One.

"If it will save my people, then so be it," he said, glaring at the member's of the company that protested. Something deep within his heart was telling Thorin knew that this elf was different from her kin. "May the Valar be with you," she said, placing the pendant around his neck. He felt the power surrounding it. They stayed in the Woodland realm for the next two weeks, resting and training. They fixed their weapons, and forged new ones before they had to leave.

Bilbo had been warned about what he carried, and not wanting to use it, Bilbo asked for a charmed pouch to encase the ring, and stop the power from corrupting his mind or those he calls kin. Elanor had been more than happy to, given that she knew the struggle of such evil. It was a battle of wills against such evil. If she could stop someone from suffering the same way she had, then she would do everything she could.

Over the next couple of weeks, Legolas and Thranduil were told what had happened to Elanor, and they were angry that such heartache had befallen her. She was the ray of sunshine of the Woodland realm and deserved everything that was good in life. After telling her family what had happened to her, Elanor found that she wasn't burdened with what had happened any loner. She was grateful.

Angry that evil had infected her home, Elanor used her magic to rid the wood of the vile dark creatures and magic. After restoring the Greenwood, she cast the most powerful wards she could. If anyone or anything with ill-intent were to try to get inside Greenwood, they would die on contact. When the guards and her family weren't sure of those wards, well, they soon agreed when they killed ten orcs on contact. It was relief that their home was now safe. A weight was lifted off of them. Before long, a letter appeared before them, letting them know that they were in Laketown. Knowing that there was no time to lose, Elanor apparated to Laketown. That beast was going to die.
