Chapter 1: The Beautiful Girl
Bella was the most protected member of the Lost Boys group. They hadn't known that a male vampire could father children until David found his mate in a gypsy named Star. A few years ago, Bella fell into a group of daywalkers and they tried to starve her, and make her drink the blood of animals. They had forced her to date Fuckward, and when Bella's family discovered what was truly going on with her, the Lost Boys stormed the house and killed every member. Although, Fuckward's head was buried in the cave. He was going to suffer for all of eternity for what he had done to their princess.
Bella was getting dressed in a pair of black skintight jeans, a silk royal blue top, a black leather jacket, royal blue heels, and royal blue and silver jewelry set. She felt a sudden charge go through her body, and she had learned from Max just what that meant. Her mate was close. She hoped he was a good man. She didn't think fate would be so cruel as to pair her with a terrible mate. "Sweetheart. What's wrong?" Star asked her daughter. This young woman meant everything to her. Isabel Catherine had been worth every broken bone and bruise when she was carrying her.
"The connection with my mate just started forming," Bella beamed but quickly frowned. "Why aren't you happy? This is a good thing," Star said just as she felt David's emotions turn to protective rage along with the guys. "That's the reason. Daddy and my uncles aren't going to be happy about this," Bella explained. "Honey, after last time, they're just worried about you," Star said although she understood where Bella was coming from.
"Damn straight! If this guy wants a chance with you then he will have to go through us, then he has to meet your father," Dwayne's voice sounded from the doorway. "I love you guys. You are the most important people in my life, but you do know that I am looking forward to meeting my mate, do you not?" she asked. "We know princess, but this guy will have to prove himself before we let him even think about courting you," David said hugging his little girl close. He remembered what those poser vamps had tried to do to his princess and he didn't think it would ever stop haunting him. Bella almost massacred everyone on the beach because it had been a year since she drank blood before David and his boys took care of them.
Later that night, Bella was dancing at the concert with Laddie when she felt someone staring at her. She looked up and saw this guy gazing intensely at her and for the first time in decades, she looked away. Bella loved the way he stared at her. He made her feel exposed in the best ways. "Laddie. Let's go eat," Bella said guiding him through the crowd. It didn't take long before the guy that had been staring at her located them. "I'm Michael," he introduced himself, stunned stupid when he saw her smile the most beautiful smile that he has ever seen. "Just Michael?" she flirted causing him to shake his head. "Michael Emerson. What's your name, beautiful?" he asked. "Isabel Nicolae," she said just as her parents and uncles showed up. She was so happy that she had to ability to glamour herself and others because there was no possible way that she was going to pretend that her family wasn't her family.
"Mom, daddy, uncles, this is Michael," Bella introduced him to her family. "Well, Michael, I hope you stick around for a while," David said glaring down at this boy. He knew this guy was his little princess's mate, and he wasn't happy about it. Michael couldn't help but be a little scared at what sounded like a threat. But he couldn't help but think that this beautiful girl would be worth it. "I'll be around," Michael said as he stood winking at Bella before walking away.
"I'll give him this. He has brass balls for flirting with you in front of your father," Paul said chuckling as they headed home.
