Night City is under siege from the corporations. A rag tag group of exiles led by The Aldecaldos flee to Arizona bringing along the refugees who have fled Night City. This is their story and the story of the legends V and Johnny Silverhand. Meanwhile a desperate fight for the city takes place as the corporations show just how much they want the city and what they are willing to do.

When his ex from the Bakker clan reappears in his life, V becomes a shell. Fear traps him in his mind. Johnny and Kerry do their best to help. CW: References and some descriptions of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse.

As V searches for a cure for her deteriorating condition with the Aldecaldo-remnants, she finds a small window to enjoy some time with River. One last time, before she has to decide if a deal with the devil is worth it for more time with those she loves. And if her new life is worth burning the old one for.
