"Aw! My favorite time of the day! The only time of school that is actually good! Lunch!" Musuko said as he sat down on a table and tried to enjoy his lunch. He chowed down on the food with William coming to join him.

"Don't forget to breathe." William said as he sat down with him.

"Hey, man. Our soccer game is coming up tomorrow. You ready for it?" Musuko said.

"I guess so." William said. "Are the others going to be there?"

"I asked them if they were coming, but they can't." Musuko said. "Mason and Tyson are going out with their parents to celebrate their wedding anniversary. Benson will have basketball practice that day. Even Koji can't make it since he already promised to help a friend of his with something. Man, it's getting hard to get the gang together."

"Yeah, but that happens." William said. "People grow and grow apart. It might be unfair or whatever, but that just happens."

"Or maybe your attitude scares them all away." Musuko joked, but all he got was a punch to the gut by William. "Don't do that! You're going to make me hurl my lunch!"

"Maybe you should learn to keep your mouth shut." William said. Musuko and his friends are all around seventeen or so. They're all growing up and they're seeing it's difficult to keep friends physically close. When both worlds were in danger, they had no excuse to keep away from each other. Well, they might have that chance sooner than they think.

The Digital World

The Digital World is a world that runs parallel to the human world. However, it's more savage with thousands of digimon running through the place. Some of them were a little more intellectual, but that can also mean some of them are more evil.

"It's time for it to begin. Time to take it to the human world." Someone in the digital world was up to no good and was somehow able to open a portal. When that happened, a digimon named Snimon was walking closer to it. "Go... Wait between worlds and strike when the time is right." The Snimon didn't even seem capable of thinking for itself. It just went right inside the portal. "Soon, it will rise again."

The Human World

When the school hours ended, students were on their way home. One school student stared up to the sky as the sun was going down.

"Tyson? Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, Agumon." Tyson said. Tyson Kamiya, son of Tai Kamiya and Mimi's stepson. He had a feeling something was going on out there, but he wasn't quite sure what.

"You okay?" He was interrupted from his thoughts when his best friend came and talked to him. Jimmy Kido, son of Joe. The two of them have been best friends for years since they're always in the same class.

"Yeah... I'm fine, Jimmy. I just have this weird feeling." Tyson said. "Oh, well. I'm sure it's nothing." Tyson decided to just ignore the feeling and continued on walking with Jimmy following.

"Carefully. That messy hair of yours will get even messier if you think too much." Gomamon, Jimmy's partner, joked.

"You're not funny, Gomamon." Jimmy said. "Your cousin, Musuko, is having a game tomorrow, right? Are you going?"

"I can't. My family is having a fancy dinner tomorrow." Tyson said.

"I hope they have delicious food." Agumon claimed. "Speaking of which, do you think we can stop somewhere and get something to eat now?"

"You and Dad's Agumon are just bottomless pits." Tyson said as he just kept walking. Tyson was trying to act like everything was fine, but he just couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. The other three could tell there was something wrong, but with Tyson. Tyson's father usually have some sort of spark of passion or personality, but Tyson doesn't seem to have that spark. It's like he's lacking something to give him purpose.

"You're not going to your brother's game? That's not like you, Koji." Toby said.

"I can't. I already promised someone I would help them out with a project, but I might be able swing by for the second half of the game." Koji said. Toby and Koji were walking down the streets themselves with their partners, as well as a couple others.

"Good idea. I'm sure Musuko would like that, Koji. Cassie has been mentioning that he's been trying to get the gang together. She just hasn't been able to since she's been busy getting ready for college. Seriously, she still has some time."

"Maybe you should follow her lead and start thinking about that." The other two with them were Susan Izumi and Tio Ichijoji. Susan is the daughter of Izzy, and is the smartest girl in her class. Tio is the middle child of Ken and Yolei. He's a bit of a troublemaker, but he never takes it so far where people get hurt. He's just your typical school student that likes to cause a little mischief.

"You can try all you want, but you're wasting your breath." Wormmon said. "Tio's parents have been trying to get him to think about his future, but they failed."

"That's too bad." Tentomon said. "Susan already has her future planned out when she is able to start her own business like her father."

"What about you, Gatomon?" Gabumon asked. "Do you think about your future?"

"Not really. It seems like humans have more to worry about than we digimon." Gatomon said.

"Back to the matter of the game, isn't Natalie going, Toby?" Koji asked.

"She says she can't, but I think she's going to find a way." Toby claimed like he could see an ulterior motive that his sister holds.

"Well, this is where we part ways. I'll see you guys later." Koji said.

"Later, Koji." Tio said as Koji and Gatomon went down one way while his friends went the other. As Koji kept on walking, he stopped when he felt something strange.

"What's wrong, Koji?" Gatomon said. Koji looked to the sky and could quite tell that the winds were changing towards something bad.

An Office

It's usually the digidestined and their friends that work with saving both worlds. Those who get involved are usually digimon, and humans rarely do if they don't have a digimon partner. However, there is one man that is trying to change things. He was working on a computer and was monitoring things between both worlds.

"Interesting..." The man said as there was something that caught his eye. He opened up a drawer and pulled out some paperwork about some people. They weren't just any people either. Those papers were about Tai and his friends. "My old friend... No matter what happens, you and your buddies always get involved somehow when it comes to both worlds."

The Next Day

Upon the next day, Musuko helped himself to a big breakfast since he had a game today. He ate all that he could to have plenty of fuel for his game.

"Sorry, Musuko. I'll try to swing by for your game later, but I'm not sure if I will." Koji said as he felt guilty about missing his brother's game.

"I won't be able to make it either." Davis said. "Me and Veemon have an important meeting and we can't reschedule it."

"It's fine. Don't worry about it." Musuko said.

"Are you sure you okay?" Kari asked. "We know you've been trying to get everyone together again for a long time."

"It's fine. Some of them said they would try to make it later." Musuko said as he and his Veemon finished up. "Let's go, Vee. We better meet up with the team." He and his Veemon went on out and was on their way to the game, but Koji was still a little concerned about how he was feeling.

"Do you think he's going to be okay?" Koji asked.

"I'm sure he will be." Kari said as she grabbed the dishes. "It's hard to meet up with your friends when you get older. Can't be like how it is when you were kids."

"But you and Dad found a way to make it work with your old friends." Koji said.

"It wasn't easy at first, but we found a way to make it work with everyone's busy schedule. We always find a way." Kari said. "I'm sure you two will with the rest of your friends." Growing up isn't easy when you seem to drift away from your friends, but there are always times when you come together with them.

Cassie

Cassie was at home and was doing some work on her future college choices. She had to be at the top of her brain game if she wants to get into the college she wants.

"Here you go, Cassie. I got the books you wanted." Her partner, Hawkmon, said as he walked inside and carried some books to her. He was about to hand them to her when he suddenly felt something came over for a second. It felt like shivers went down his spine as he dropped the books.

"Are you okay?" Cassie asked.

"That was strange. Something just ruffled my feathers for a second." Hawkmon said.

"Maybe it was just a draft or something." Cassie said as she just blew it off. Cassie was never the type to believe in superstitions, but if she did, she would know that there's something bad coming their way. Whatever might happen, those two are going to be involved in it.

The Game

Musuko and William made it to the game and met up with the rest of their soccer team. They stretched themselves out and got ready for the game. Musuko did look to stands and saw Kari out there with his partner and Gatomon, but a part of him did wish his friends did come.

"Ready, Musuko?" William said.

"All set." Musuko said. The game was ready to start as the referee blew the whistle. Musuko stepped forward for the ball with the guy from the other team. The ref threw the ball and the game was about to start, but that was when trouble started. A large gust of wind flew over the whole field and they all saw that it was Snimon flying through the air.

"Snimon?!" William said.

"What's going on?!" Musuko said. Snimon did not hesitate as it crashed down on the ground and caused the whole place to shake. Snimon was going on a rampage as he was attacking everything. "What's he doing?! Is he crazy?!"

"I'm not sure. Something isn't right." William said. Snimon didn't seem to care about the innocent people in the way. It just kept attacking everything in its sight and just thrashed around.

"Where is Snimon's partner?!" Musuko questioned.

"I'm not too sure this one has a partner. Let's just try and get everyone to safety." William said. Everyone was running scared and weren't sure what to do. Digimon and humans live together, but a digimon going rampant can cause serious problems. Snimon began to fly in the air and continue the attack as it unleashed energy slashes around and flew off into the city. William helped some people out from the attack, but he couldn't understand what that attack was about.

"William!" Lopmon called as he hurried to his partner. "Are you okay?"

"I am, but what was with that Snimon? Why would it just attack like that?" William questioned as he couldn't understand what was going on.

"William!" Kari called as she rushed to him. "William, where is Musuko?"

"Musuko?" William said. He didn't know until he thought about what Musuko just do. "Only one place he could be." When Kari realized that herself, she didn't like it at all. Musuko got a hold of Veemon and the two of them were chasing after Snimon. It looks like it is happening again. Both worlds might be in trouble and Musuko and his friends might be the ones that need to save them.
