Musuko and his team got together again for a the first fight in years. They took on three Snimon in the airport. When the fight ended, all of them were met with a man that Tai knew named Hiro Tetsuya.
"Hiro?! I can't believe it's really you!" Tai said.
"I can't believe it him either!" Agumon said.
"Who is he?" Palmon asked.
"I have no idea." Agumon said.
"It has been a long time, Tai." Hiro said. "The last time I saw you was probably when you had that giant mess you called hair." He said as he walked over. "I wish it was under better circumstances, but it looks like trouble follows you around wherever you go."
"Uncle Tai, what's going on? Who is this guy?" Koji asked.
"Everyone, this is Hiro Tetsuya." Tai introduced. "We met each other back in college. We were pretty good friends back then. I like to talk more, but we have to do something about these Snimon."
"You don't need to worry about that." Hiro said. "I already made a few calls. They'll be a people to escort those Snimon back to their world in no time. Regardless of the situation, this works out perfectly. I came to ask for your help, Tai."
"Mine?" Tai questioned.
"Either you and your friends, or your children's." Hiro said. Hearing that a man they never met before needs their help says that there really is something going on. Once the Snimon were taken care of, Hiro brought them all into a large van and was driving away from the airport.
"This is rather weird." Mason said.
"You said it. This guy knows about us, but we don't know him." Natalie said.
"What's going on? How do you know about us?" William said.
"It's my job to know." Hiro said as he was driving. "You see, I run a government organization that deals with affairs of the Digital World, that also includes all the digidestined. I was aware of you kids for a long time. It was also beneficial since Tai and I are friends here."
"That doesn't sound creepy." Musuko complained.
"Have you been spying on us? You better not have seen me during my private time?" Veemon said.
"Private time?" Biyomon questioned.
"Don't ask. I walked in on his private time once and I wish I could forget it." Gatomon said.
"I only know what I need to know." Hiro said. "Anyway, I'm glad I got to meet all of you. It saves me the trouble of coming to you. I understand that you all have been saving and defending both worlds since you were all about seven."
"Something like that." Koji said.
"What do you need us for?" Benson said.
"There's a situation where both worlds are in danger once again." Hiro said. "We've been monitoring the Digital World for a while, and we've noticed a few strange anomalies going on. Such things are distortions happening, just like the ones that those Snimon came from."
"Well, if you seem to know it all, why did those Snimon attack us in the first place?" Mason asked.
"As you know, there are some digimon out there that are highly intellectual. Some that might even me be smarter than us humans." Hiro said. "However, there are some digimon out there that act solely on instinct. They don't act that much different than wild animals. Those Snimon really weren't any different. There really was no reason as to why those Snimon attacked. They were just simply following their instincts in an unfamiliar situation."
"But something much bigger is going on, isn't it?" William asked.
"I'm afraid that there is." Hiro said. "Both worlds have been at peace with each other for years. However, there are some digimon out there that don't exactly agree with this. They believe digimon are superior to us humans. I'm not sure what they want or what they're after, but I do know they wish to cause trouble for us all. I understand your parents time might have came and gone, but you six might be needed." After so long, they are all being called for help again. They thought those days were behind them, but it seems like it isn't.
"You know what, I'm looking forward to this. It's been a long time since we actually got some action." Musuko said as he was actually excited for a good fight.
...
Izzy
"Got it, Tai. In fact, I already got the information. I'll let you know if I find anything." Izzy said as he ended a call with Tai and got to work on his computer. Hiro already thought ahead and messaged Izzy about some information. Seeing the situation, Izzy got right to work on what it was. Susan was walking by his office when she saw him working.
"Hey, Dad. Is everything okay?" Susan asked.
"Tai just called me. Looks like there's trouble again." Izzy said. "It looks like an old friend of his, who works in a government organization on the Digital World, is asking for our help." Susan took a look over at her father's computer to see what it was, but Izzy caught it. "Honey, it's not something you should really be worried about. I'll take care of it."
"Yeah, but two genius minds will solve this faster." Susan said. "So, what does it have?" Izzy wasn't sure if he should be telling his daughter about this. "Dad, come on. I know I haven't fought like Musuko and the others, but I'm not some kid who can help. I was considered a genius like you when I was just in kindergarten."
"You're right." Izzy said as he doesn't want his daughter thinking he doesn't respect or trust her. "Well, something is causing strange distortions and is opening pathways between both worlds. He also sent me this strange legend from the Digital World. He thinks it might have something to do with this."
"What does it say?" Susan questioned.
"I already managed to get it deciphered." Izzy said. "For chaos and the being of the dark sun and sky to rise, darkness must come over love. When the wings of love have been blackened, and chaos infects the heart, Horusmon shall take to the skies and bring about an endless dark sky."
"Horusmon? Who is that?" Susan questioned.
"I already took a look." Izzy said. "Horusmon, a digimon named after the Egyptian god Horus. In the Digital World, it's a powerful and dangerous digimon. Not someone you would want to meet."
"You think this Horusmon has something to do with whatever is going on?" Susan questioned.
"That certainly appears to be a possibility." Izzy said.
"Does it say anything else?" Susan questioned.
"There does appear to be some sort of message of light." Izzy said. "For power to combat, look at yourself and go beyond. Push past what weighs you down and open your heart for the greatest possibility. I'm not sure what that means, but it could be a clue to defeating this new threat." Susan appeared to be rather interested, but there was the matter of figuring out what it all means. It won't be an easy task.
...
The Next Day
After what happened the other day, Musuko and his friends know they have a serious situation on their hands. That means that it might be up to them to combat whatever this new threat is and put an end to it. The six of them met up under a bridge and were trying to figure out what this all means.
"Well, what do you guys think of this whole thing?" Benson said.
"I'm not really sure. This all just came out of nowhere on us." Natalie said. "I mean, I don't mind fighting for both worlds. We have been doing this since we were kids, but we don't know enough about what's going on."
"That never stopped us before." Biyomon said. She certainly had a point there.
"What about this Hiro Tetsuya? Do you think he can even be trusted?" William said as he was a little skeptical of the guy.
"Well, Uncle Tai certainly knows him and seems to trust him." Koji said. "He can't be all that bad."
"On top of that, he seems to be the only one that knows what's going on." Gatomon said. "If he knows something, we should at least give him the benefit of the doubt."
"Didn't he say he sent information to Izzy yesterday?" Mason said.
"Yeah. Susan told me she would be helping trying to figure this out." Koji said. "They think it all has something to do with a digimon named Horusmon, a powerful and dangerous digimon."
Boy, it certainly seems like trouble always has a way of coming at us." Palmon said.
"That just seems to be how we role." Lopmon said.
"Musuko, what do you think?" William said.
"What's to really think about?" Musuko said as he seemed pretty relaxed about the whole thing. "It's just another big bad guy trying to cause trouble for both worlds. We've beaten guys like that before and we'll just do it again."
"Musuko, this is pretty serious." William said as he was taking this a little more serious than Musuko appears to be. "This isn't some sort of game."
"I get that, but I'm sure we can handle it. All our digimon can reach the mega level." Musuko said. "The Snimon caught us by surprise, but we'll be ready next time. We'll know what to expect. So just lighten up and everything will be good."
"Oh brother." William said as he was already getting a little annoyed.
"Easy, guys." Benson said. "Remember, we're all on the same side. Musuko does have a point. As long as we believe in ourselves, we'll be able to get through like all of the other times." All of them could certainly agree to that.
"Well, if that's all, Biyomon and I need to get going. I already promised to meet with Cassie and Uria. They want to be kept in the loop themselves. Something tells me we're all going to be busy, and moments like this one won't come around that often" Natalie said as she and Biyomon got going.
"Yeah... It's a little hard to get together..." Musuko said under his breath as he didn't like that idea.
...
The Girls
Natalie met with Cassie and Uria. They all hit a restaurant that allowed them to cook some barbeque right at the table.
"I usually don't do cooking, but the low calorie meat is delicious. Even the fatty stuff tastes great." Uria said as she and all of them helped themselves to some food. Uria used a pair of chopsticks and helped herself to a piece of meat that she thought was a heavenly taste. "I just love it here."
"Me too." Her partner, Armadillomon, claimed as the digimon loved the food as well.
"Ooh... Hot..." Cassie said as she felt her mouth burning. "So, is everything okay, Natalie?"
"Yeah. Until we get word, looks like we're just going to wait for something to happen." Natalie said. "Although, I guess I am a little worried. It's been a long time since something like this had happened, but Musuko seems to think we can handle it."
"Of course he does. Musuko hardly ever worries." Uria said as she acted like nothing was a big deal. "What's really to worried about, except maybe looking good."
"Uria..." Cassie complained as she couldn't believe Uria thought that.
"I'm just saying... Plus, it would have worked to your benefit Natalie since you're the only human girl on that team." Uria said. "Most girls would seize the opportunity."
"What do you mean?" Natalie said.
"Come on." Uria said as she acted a little smug. "We might have known each other since we've been kids, but we're not kids anymore. It's okay to admit that the boys are cute. So, which do you girls think is cuter?"
"Uh... That's a little weird, especially since one of those boys is my cousin." Natalie said with Cassie a little embarrassed to answer.
"You're only saying that because you've had a huge crush on Musuko since we were kids." Uria said with Natalie turning all red.
"I have not!" Natalie shouted. Uria couldn't stop herself form laughing with Cassie thinking the same as Uria.
"At times like this, do you wish you had a boy as a partner?" Armadillomon said.
"Maybe, if they were like Cassie's youngest brother, Sammy, but not one like Tio." Hawkmon said.
"Not me. I like hanging around Natalie." Biyomon said. Despite the circumstances, it's great that they all can still get together for moments like this. Even if life, you can still hang with your friends and talk about the things you have always talked about. While they were all having a nice time, Hawkmon felt a little chill run down his spine.
"That was odd." Hawkmon said as he didn't understand where that chill came from, but that is usually a bad omen.
