What happened the other day was certainly a strange one. Word about what is happening is already getting out. Breakdramon's attack is all over the news with people unsure of what to think. The two worlds have been at peace with each other for years. No one wanted that to change, but Breakdramon caused much destruction.
"Oh man. This doesn't look good." Davis said as he saw the damage being covered over the news.
"Thank goodness Musuko and the others were there to handle the situation." Kari said.
"Later, Mom. Later, Dad." Musuko said as he, Koji, and their digimon had their stuff together and were heading out.
"Where are all of you going?" Kari asked.
"After what happened with Breakdramon, we all decided to try something to cheer Cassie and Hawkmon up." Koji said. "So, we're all heading for the spa today."
"That sounds like it could be fun. Maybe we should all join." Davis said.
"Sorry, no old people around." Musuko said.
"Hey!" Davis said as he took some offense to that. Just leaving it at that, Musuko and the others went out the door and went to meet with the others.
...
The Digidestined
All the others were waiting near the river. Musuko and Koji arrived with them seeing that the others were joining in as well. It wasn't just their small team that fights digimon. All of their friends were there and joining in.
"Hey! There you are! You're making us wait to go to the great spa!" Uria said.
"Hey, everyone. What are all of you doing here?" Koji asked.
"We all heard what happened with Cassie and heard that you guys were hitting the spa today." Toby said.
"So, we all chipped in and decided to come along." Tio said. "How come you guys get to have all the fun?"
"Well, I suppose it's okay that... Hold on. Where's Tyson?" Musuko said as he saw his cousin and Agumon weren't anywhere around. "Jimmy and Gomamon aren't here either?"
"I asked Tyson if he wanted to come, but he said no." Mason said. "In fact, he's been acting a little weird lately, but he won't talk about what's bothering him."
"Jimmy went over to see if everything was okay with Tyson." Susan said.
"Who wouldn't want to go to the spa." Uria said. "Honestly, those boys need to learn to relax more. Spas are fun and that's all that people really need to know."
"Uria, be nice. Tyson could be having problems." Armadillomon said. Everyone seemed a little a excited about hitting the spa today. However, Natalie took a look at Cassie and saw she was a little uneasy about this.
"Something wrong, Cassie?" Natalie said.
"Yeah... You don't look so well. Are you feeling sick?" Benson asked.
"I'm fine." Cassie said. "It's just... You guys don't really have to do all of this for me. I'm doing just fine."
"Come on, sis. Don't question it or anything." Tio said as he put his arm around his sister. "Just enjoy what's going on. We get to hit a relaxing day at the spa. That's all you should really be thinking about."
"I think what Tio is trying to say is that we're doing this because we all care." Wormmon said.
"Yeah. Besides, it's rare we all get together like this anymore." Toby said. "It will be fun. So, let's just try to enjoy today." All of them certainly agreed that this seemed like something they all needed. So, without waiting anymore, they all went on ahead and went to the spa. Today is a day that there should be no worries and just relaxation.
...
Tyson
As for Tyson, he just remained in his room. He didn't go to the spa with the others, but he didn't feel like explaining why. He just sat there and did some work.
"Tyson?" Agumon said to try and get his attention, but Tyson wouldn't even look at him. "Tyson? Are you hungry? Can you even hear me? Tyson?"
"I hear you." Tyson said with annoyance from Agumon's attempts to get his attention. "What do you want?"
"How come you didn't go to the spa with the others? Mason, your cousins, and the others all went." Agumon said. "Why didn't you go?"
"I didn't feel like it." Tyson said as he just focused on what was on his desk. "Besides, why would I want to go? It's probably just something for the big heroes that can save both worlds."
"But... Everyone is going." Agumon said.
"Not my problem." Tyson said. Agumon can see that Tyson was feeling left out. It looks like Tyson wants to be a part of the action, but he feels like he can't be. Agumon heard the door open and saw Jimmy and Gomamon entering.
"There you are." Jimmy said.
"What are you doing here?" Tyson asked.
"Well, we wanted to go to the spa, but we much rather hang with the stick the in mud." Gomamon joked, but Jimmy covered his mouth for saying something so stupid.
"Tyson, you know..." "I don't want to talk about it." Tyson said as he tried his best to avoid the conversation. His friends feel bad for him, but they can't help him unless Tyson lets them.
...
The Spa
Musuko and his friends arrived at the spa. They got their robes and were getting themselves ready for a day of relaxation.
"I'll take it." Uria said as she took a cerulean robe as she was looking forward to this day. "Cerulean is my signature color. Armadillomon, I know you're heading for the boys side of the spa, but do try not to miss me too much."
"I'm not going to be apart from you that long." Armadillomon said as he wasn't sure what else to say to her. All of them were hoping to just enjoy their time at the spa with it being just them, but they were all in for a little surprise.
"Hey, kids." All of them looked and they were all surprised to see Tai and Hiro were there, and the robes were an indication that they came for a day of the spa too.
"Hi, Uncle Tai." Koji said.
"What are you doing here?" Mason questioned.
"You mentioned that you and the others were going to have a day in the spa, so I thought I come and join you." Tai said. "I also invited Hiro to come along. I hope that's okay."
"Great." Musuko said with sarcasm as he wasn't really that happy his uncle was crashing the party. As all of them were getting suited, Cassie stepped off to the side. She wanted to take a moment to process all of this because she didn't deserve such a treatment.
"Cassie, our friends are doing something special for us. Shouldn't you try to enjoy it?" Hawkmon asked.
"Maybe, but it seems like it isn't really necessary." Cassie said. "All we did was cause a little trouble for our friends. Maybe I'm still a little shaken over what happened the other day."
"And that's why we suggested a day here." She looked up and saw Mason and Palmon coming over to them.
"It's a spa. We should try to relax and enjoy ourselves." Palmon said. "Of course, I would much rather feel the dirt between my roots instead of my face."
"Mason, I do appreciate what you and the others are trying, but I'm just not in the mood for a spa." Cassie said. "I never really was comfortable around water. Maybe I'm overthinking things, but I just feel like I'm being a burden. It's a little complicated..."
"Good thing they offer more than just hot tubs." Palmon said.
"You want to talk complicated? Look at my family." Mason said.
"Oh yeah." Cassie said with a chuckle. "You guys are your own kind of family." All of them had a chuckle with it.
"Yeah... You remember the story." Mason said. "Apparently, my older brother, Malcolm, is actually mine and Tyson's half brother. Apparently, my mother and Tai were "involved" with each other before she married my birthfather, and we all thought Malcolm and I had the same parents. When we learned the truth, we were all pretty shocked. Soon, my parents got divorced, and Tyson lost his birthmother. Then, by some miracle or fairy tale ending, those two got together again and Tai became my stepfather with Tyson becoming my stepbrother."
"It certainly is an interesting story, but what's your point?" Cassie asked.
"When it happened, I didn't know what to think or do myself for a while." Mason said. "Seems like you're going through something similar. I'm saying that you should try and relax, which is why we're here." Cassie tried brushing that whole thing off and relax like Mason.
"You're right. Maybe I'm just overthinking things because I've never been so close to the action before." Cassie claimed. "I don't know how you guys do it." Seeing Cassie crack a smile was a good sign to Mason. With that, they can all enjoy their time in the spa.
...
The Boys Side
They all wanted to enjoy their time at the spa, but Musuko and the others were a little uncomfortable sharing a hot tub with Tai.
"Aw... I can't remember the last time I felt rejuvenated like this." Tai said as he enjoyed a good soak.
"Great. I told my parents no old people were welcomed and we're bathing with an old man." Musuko bluntly said.
"Hey, hey, hey! I'm not that old!" Tai said.
...
The Girls Side
As for all the girls, none of them were having any trouble having a good time. They were all glad they did this. While the human girls were soaking in a tub, the female digimon were just in the locker room. Gatomon and Palmon were trying to get the metal brace around Biyomon's talon off.
"Why do you want this thing off?!" Gatomon asked as she and Palmon tried pulling that thing off.
"I'm not taking chances." Biyomon said. "Last time I had this thing on in a hot tub, I felt like my foot was going to burn it off. Get it off!" The two of them tried to get it off, but it was on tight. When Palmon and Gatomon gave it one good pull, they ended up slipping and the three of them ended up rolling out of the locker room. That was right when the girls came in.
"This was a great idea. What should we do next?" Natalie said.
"How about a mud mask. You girls look like you need your pores cleanse." Uria said.
"I'm not sure how I want an earthly substance over my face and..." "Hold on." Cassie said as she interrupted Susan. "Where are the digimon?" All of them looked around and noticed they were gone.
"Biyomon?! Palmon?! Gatomon?!" Natalie called. "Where did they go?!" In truth, those three actually rolled all the way out of the locker room and ended up collapsing.
"What a ride. I felt like a pinball." Palmon said as she found some enjoyment in it. As the three of them pulled themselves back together, they saw they were just outside the boys said. "Hey. It's the entrance to the boys side. You know, I've always been curious as to what makes that side different from the girls side."
"But you can't go in there." Gatomon said. "It's probably not that much different."
"Well, why can't we go in? Technically, we digimon aren't divided by gender." Palmon said as she didn't see a problem. Curiosity getting the better of her, and thinking she found a loophole in the rules, she went on in with Gatomon and Biyomon following after her.
...
Musuko
Musuko decided to hit a sauna. Feeling like the steam will really help him, he went on inside. He thought he was going to be alone, but he saw William was in there too. He knew where this might go, but Musuko went in either way. The two of them just sat in silence for a while.
"Musuko, we need to talk about what happened." William said.
"I know." Musuko said. What happened the other day really got to Musuko. He was starting to see how serious things were, a different way from how he saw things before.
"That was no random attack." William claimed. "Breakdramon was targeting Cassie and Hawkmon specifically. Something is going on and we need to figure out what."
"I get that." Musuko said. "Things really feel different than from when we were kids." Musuko was right. Things seem different from when you're a kid to a young man. Musuko can only hope he and his friends are ready for whatever comes their way. It's not going to stop him from fighting the way he always fought.
...
The Girls
"You don't honestly think they went into the boys room, do you?" Cassie said. The girls looked around for the girl digimon, but when they couldn't find them, they could only assume that was where they could be.
"We can't just go in there." Susan said.
"We don't have a choice. We need to get them out of there before they cause any trouble." Natalie said. "We'll just have to move fast, find them, and get the heck out."
"But as soon as we go in, we're going to start a ruckus." Cassie said. "Besides, how do we avoid all those eyes?"
"Just leave it all to me." Uria said. She didn't stick around to explain anything. She just charged in. "Boys, I have a special for you! Get ready for a great performance by yours truly!" She called and began singing with all the eyes on her.
"She always thought everyone admired her." Natalie said as she and the other girls got moving. There was no time for anything. They just searched around as the three of them moved as fast as they could. The three of them searched around for the digimon. Luckily, they didn't wait long.
"Nothing. Nothing stands out." Palmon said.
"I told you it wouldn't be much different." Biyomon said.
"There you three are!" Natalie said as the girls were glad they found them. "Are you three crazy coming in here? We need to get out of here." They grabbed the digimon and tried to take off, but that was right when Musuko and William came out of their steam treatment.
"What are you doing here?!" Musuko shouted in embarrassment.
"What's going on?" Tai asked as he and Hiro came over and spotted the girls.
"Uh... Sorry..." Susan said as she wasn't sure what else to say.
"Don't worry. My glasses are fogging up. I have a hard time seeing anything." Cassie said. The girls were doing their best to explain the situation and make them sound innocent, but Musuko was just getting annoyed.
"Will you just get out of here?!" Musuko shouted.
...
Tai and Hiro
"That was certainly an interesting experience." Tai said as he and Hiro left the spa and walked along the streets. "I thought the kids were a little young to pull something like that, but I guess that's just wishful thinking."
"I suppose..." Hiro said, but he was more focused on the other matter. "Tai, you know we have to keep an eye on those kids. That's why we were there. Something big is going on and those kids might be at the center of it." Tai hated to think those kids, who are like his own children to him, were placed in such danger, but he hates what's to come since it's like a similar experience he went through.
"I just hope those kids don't go through what me and my friends did." Tai said as he hoped that doesn't happen.
