Everyone was having a good time at the festival, but Tyson and Agumon weren't. Agumon snuck off on his own and came to the festival. When Tyson realized that Agumon was gone, he went straight to the school to get him. The two of them went to the back of the school so they could talk in private. The two of them just sat awkwardly in silence on a bench as Agumon helped himself to some treats.

"Agumon, if you wanted to come here so badly, why didn't you just say so?" Tyson asked.

"Because I knew you didn't want to come." Agumon said. "So, I decided that I don't want to miss out on some fun times. I can just go without me."

"Still, you should have told me you were going." Tyson said. "When I realized you were gone, I got scared since I didn't know what happened to you."

"And that's a problem?" Agumon said.

"Of course it's a problem!" Tyson said, but Agumon was trying to act like he doesn't care. "Why are you acting like this? You've never done something like this before."

"You've never acted like this before yourself." Agumon said. Tyson didn't know what to say. "You've never avoided your friends and family before, but look at what you've been doing. Tyson, our friends might need help and I want to be able to help them." This has been eating at Tyson for a while and it seems like he's reached his limit.

"And just how do you plan on helping them when you can't do anything?!" Tyson said with anger.

"You don't know that." Agumon said.

"I do! You've never even digivolved to Greymon or whatever your champion form is!" Tyson said. "How can you help when you can't even digivolve! You need me to digivolve, but I can't give you that power!"

"I don't know, but it's better than nothing." Agumon said. "If you just want out, go ahead. If you want to avoid all of your friends, I'll just stay with them and be ready to help when I can."

"Are you saying you don't want to be friends anymore?" Tyson said for that's what it sounded like to him. When Agumon just sat there and stayed quiet, it told Tyson what he wanted to know. "Fine... If that's what you want..." Tyson just stood up and walked out of there, leaving behind his oldest and closest friend. That argument even made Agumon lose his appetite, and an Agumon is usually always hungry. Tyson just walked out of there and left poor Agumon all alone. When Tyson was gone, Uria and Cassie with their partners came out since they were so worried about those two.

"Agumon...? Are you okay?" Cassie asked as they all went to him.

"I'm fine." Agumon said, but they all knew better.

"Agumon, you should really go and talk to Tyson. You can't just end what you have." Hawkmon said.

"Tyson feels useless. He thinks he can't help anyone." Agumon said. "How can I help him when it seems like he doesn't want help or thinks he can't help anyone?"

"You just need to get him to see he isn't useless." Uria said. "I was feeling a little down on myself until I saw how much my friends do love and support me. I also know I had Armadillomon here to help me." Armadillomon and Uria were happy to have each other and what happened just now made their bond even stronger.

"It's been like that ever since we were kids, and during our parents' adventures." Cassie said. "Partners are suppose to help each other."

"It might be tough, but you can make it work." Hawkmon said. "Do you really want to throw it all away just like that?" Agumon didn't want to. He wants to help Tyson through this and show that he's not as useless as he feels. "Come on. Let's go talk to Tyson before he leaves." They helped Agumon off the bench and were about to go after Tyson. However, they had to stop when they heard a strange cracking sound.

"What was that?" Armadillomon said. They all turned around and saw a portal opening up behind them and someone stepped out of it. They all got instantly scared when they saw the person was dressed in all black with a hood and cape and was wearing a red and black Oni mask to hide his face. This guy practically screamed danger.

Hiro and Tai

"Wow. This seems like it's going great." Tai said as he and the others had a look around the place. They were keeping their eyes open for the kids or any sign of trouble. Trouble soon found them. Hiro's phone went off and alerted them of some sort of danger that's coming.

"Tai! Trouble!" Hiro said. Everyone was aware of danger when they all heard someone screaming. Musuko and his friends all knew that scream belonged to Uria.

Uria and Cassie

The strange man in the mask attacked the girls. Not only did he give them a good scare, he grabbed a hold of Hawkmon and wasn't letting him go.

"Hawkmon!" Cassie called.

"Put him down!" Armadillomon demanded, but the guy just ignored them. He turned around and headed for the portal.

"Hold it!" Agumon said as he and Armadillomon hurried after them and jumped through the portal before some sort of barrier came over and blocked it off.

"Hawkmon!" Cassie called as she hurried to the portal, but the barrier shocked her and stopped her from going anywhere.

"Uria! Cassie!" Musuko called as he and all the others arrived and came rushing in when they heard screaming. "What happened?"

"Some creep in a mask just came out of nowhere and took Hawkmon!" Uria said.

"Hawkmon?" William questioned as this had him think of something. "I wonder if this is connected to Breakdramon." All of them tried getting a closer look to see what is happening.

Agumon and Armadillomon

Wherever they were, they weren't in the Digital World. It looked like they were somewhere between the two worlds. Agumon and Armadillomon didn't let it deter them from trying to save their friend. They chased after the man in the mask and saw he had Hawkmon right in his arms.

"Let Hawkmon go!" Agumon called.

"Don't make us have to take him back." Armadillomon said. They thought they could take him easily, but some sort of energy blast came out of nowhere. It blasted near the two of them and blew both digimon back. The danger grew even worse as they saw a giant red dragon-like machine came in their way. It looked like this digimon was designed for destruction.

The Digidestined

"What is that thing?!" Toby said.

"Hang on. I've got my own analyzer in my computer." Susan said as she removed her bag and took out her own laptop. She looked over to see what that digimon was. When she found it, she didn't like what she saw. "That digimon is named Chaosdromon. He is one bad digimon."

"That digimon is a mega like Breakdramon. Unless we can some how get around that barrier, they'll be crushed." William said.

"Armadillomon!" Uria called as she tried to reach him, but the barrier just shocked her and kept her out. They watched as Chaosdromon attacked the two poor digimon. It was just toying with them as it just battered them around. None of them liked the looks of this.

"Where's Tyson? Agumon needs him?!" Koji said.

"He left!" Cassie said.

"Left?! You've got to be kidding me!" Mason said as he hurried off to get his stepbrother. As he ran by, Tai and the others arrived and saw them all going on.

"Kids, what's happening?!" Tai said.

"Nothing good." Musuko said and it seemed like there was nothing they can do about it.

...

Tyson

"Dang this stupid lock." Tyson complained as he tried to unlock his bike and just head on home. Once he got that, he pulled it out and was about to ride off.

"Tyson! Wait!" Mason called as he was able to catch him just in time.

"Mason, I know what you're going to say, but I don't want to talk about it." Tyson said as he thought he knew what this was about. "I don't want anyone feeling sorry or sympathetic for me because there's really nothing anyone can really do."

"Tyson, you don't understand." Mason said.

"I do understand. Whatever heroes are made of, I just don't have what it takes." Tyson said. "You and the others are going off and saving both worlds. Maybe I'm being a little selfish, but I can't help it. I want to be a part of that. It's not fair since all of our parents worked together, but it's now just the six of you. Agumon can't even digivolve to champion." Tyson hates that he feels a little selfish, but he hates feeling useless and can't do anything. Mason cares for his stepbrother and wishes to help with what he's going through.

"Well, you might have your chance now. Agumon is in danger." Mason said. That got Tyson's attention. He never meant to end the bond he has with Agumon. Hearing he might be in danger now has him racing back.

The Fight

Agumon and Armadillomon were in serious danger. They were just little insects being swatted around compared to how large and how powerful Chaosdromon is. Both of them got beaten down and could barely get back up. That thing was just toying with them at this point.

"Agumon! Armadillomon!" Hawkmon called as he wanted to reach them, but the guy in the mask just wouldn't let go. It was just pure chaos with what Hawkmon was seeing and he couldn't take it anymore.

The Digidestined

"This is bad, and there doesn't seem to be anything we can do! Susan, can't we get through that barrier somehow?!" Musuko said.

"I'm trying, but I can't find anything. It's like an impenetrable firewall." Susan said. Uria wasn't liking this at all. She could lose Armadillomon forever, and poor Cassie might never see Hawkmon again.

"Agumon!" They all looked and saw Mason and Tyson come running back. Tyson reached out for the portal, but the barrier kept him out. "Agumon! Agumon!"

"Tyson? Is that you?" Agumon asked.

"It is, pal. What are you doing in there? You need to get out of there now or that giant is going to crush you." Tyson said.

"No, I can't." Agumon refused to back down from this fight. It doesn't matter he's going to be crushed. Agumon isn't going to back down from the fight. Tyson could see that and it amazed him. A friend is in trouble and Agumon is doing everything he can. It really got to Tyson.

"You're helping out a friend no matter what..." Tyson said. "My father's crest is the crest of courage, and you have a lot of it right now." If Agumon can do that, Tyson can do that to. He needs to get pass his own insecurities, push beyond his limits. Tyson looks inside his heart, recognizes all that has happened, and it's awakening a new power. "Agumon!"

The Fight

Whatever Tyson was feeling was converted into power. That power travelled to Agumon. Agumon felt that power and it made him stronger...much stronger.

"Agumon warp digivolve to..." Agumon began to digivolve straight to the mega level. He became a red and white armored digimon with a tail that had a sun on it and a set of mechanical wings. "ShineGreymon!"

Agumon amazed everyone as he instantly digivolved into ShineGreymon. What Tyson wanted the most has been obtained, and they can use that power. ShineGreymon flew right at Chaosdromon and gave him a powerful uppercut. Chaosdromon tried fighting back by firing powerful blasts, but ShinGreymon flew around and was avoiding each attack.

"Glorious Burst!" ShineGreymon unleashed a concentrated blast of light and fire and blasted Chaosdromon.

The Digidestined

"Did Agumon really just digivolve straight to a mega?!" Natalie said.

"And it's not even WarGreymon. How did he do that?" Tai questioned. All of them wondered how they suddenly did this. Susan thought of something and checked to see if she was right on her computer.

"Look inside your heart... Recognize your limits... Push beyond them..." Susan read over. "It's part of the prophecy you gave my father, Mr. Tetsuya."

"The prophecy?" Hiro questioned.

"I think it was referring to having our digimon digivolve straight to the mega level." Susan said. All of them couldn't believe it. Some of the digimon never did that before, but now it sounds like they might have a chance.

"Tyson, how did you do it?" Uria said.

"I'm not really sure. Seeing what Agumon did just inspired me." Tyson said. "I had to think more of my partner, more of others, than myself." Hearing say that has had Uria realize that she needs to do that herself. She's got to think more of others than herself. Recently learning she was a narcissist might help and encourage her to change.

"Armadillomon, get up!" Uria called. "Get up! We have to do this!" She encouraged Armadillomon to get up and keep fighting. "We have to do this for our friends, the same friends that have always been there for us!" Uria's friends always supported her. It's now her turn to support them.

The Fight

"Armadillomon warp digivolve to..." Uria was unleashing the same power that was unleashed for Agumon. Armadillomon began to digivolve and he became a digimon they've never seen before. He became giant and muscular. He had a human body, but was purple with some dinosaur-like features. He also had a brown furry loincloth. He also had a giant skull of a tyrannosaurus on his right shoulder. "Jurassicmon!"

Armadillomon warped digivolve to and he looked incredible. Both of them were much bigger and stronger, and that meant they had a better chance against Chaosdromon. Jurassicmon smashed his fist against Chaosmon and knocked that thing back. ShineGreymon helped out as he flew in and smashed his foot against Chaosdromon. They just aquired these powers, but it looks like they got a good hold on them.

"Glorious Burst!"

"Dino Roar!" Both of them attacked with a blast of fire and light with a fierce and powerful roar. Both attacks unleashed a powerful attack that blasted Chaosdromon and completely turned him to data. In the end, they were able to make it out of this. The two of them turned to the man that was holding Hawkmon, but he just let him go for whatever reason. Once the mystery man did that, he went through a different portal and just disappeared. They may have won, but the true battle isn't over.

The Digidestined

Once the fight was over, the digimon emerged out of the portal with a Koromon and Upamon jumping into their partners' arms. Cassie went right over to Hawkmon and held him.

"Hawkmon, are you hurt?" Cassie said.

"I'm fine..." Hawkmon said, but he didn't seem too sure.

"That was incredible!" Benson said.

"It was also rather strange. Who was that creep?" William said. All of them were wondering the same thing, but it looks like they didn't want to ruin the moment. Tyson and Uria were quite proud of themselves, and happy for their digimon. Poor Hawkmon also looked like he been through a lot.

"Come on, Hawkmon. How about we just go home." Cassie said.

"Yeah..." Hawkmon said, but something was certainly wrong. Something inside HAwkmon triggered inside of him, something dark.

"Hawkmon?" Cassie said. She reached for him, but Hawkmon suddenly moved away and tried attacking them. Something was wrong with Hawkmon. He had a blank look in his eyes, and he actually looked sinister and evil. All of them were shocked and weren't sure what was happening. "Hawkmon!" Cassie called out and tried reaching him, but he swung his talons at her and kept her away. Something was wrong for Hawkmon never acted like that before. He didn't say a word, only took to the sky and flew off with all of them baffled as to what happened.

"What did Hawkmon do?" Tai said.

"That's it..." Hiro said as he seemed to have figured it out. It would explain what has happened now and what could happen from now on. "They were after Hawkmon the whole time. Hawkmon might be the key...to all of this."
