When I was sent off to the ninja academy, I had a lot of expectations. Combat training, survival training, basic jutsu theory? But School was not very eventful. I had been in the academy for two months now, and so far, I had gotten nowhere! All we learned was normal school stuff. Granted, a lot of the math and science we worked on was specifically geared towards helping us plan trajectory and things like that. After all, in a world where we had to throw knives fast enough to break the sound barrier and run faster than an F-22…
Yeah. Basic physics was kind of important.
But honestly. I hadn't even gotten any quests! In my first month learning at this school all I had been able to do to level up was my dungeon. The only chakra related exercise we had done was the infamous leaf exercise, but that was useless to me. I had impressed my teacher by mastering it instantly, my 100 CNT was responsible for that.
But my teacher, as well as the other kids, didn't like me very much.
Apparently, news had gotten out that I was friends with 'the demon.' After that little revelation all the other kids in class avoided direct eye contact. All but one that is. Shiro, a boy with brown hair and golden eyes. He was by far the most athletic kid in the class, and he was fairly smart too.
He was also my neighbor, both in class and in the apartments, so I had managed to establish a… acquaintanceship with him. I wouldn't say we were 'friends,' but we would partner up on assignments and small things like that, so we got along well enough.
That's not to say I hadn't made any friends! Naruto, Tadashi and I all met up daily for the first few weeks after school to discus our days AND, on my suggestion, train together. This allowed me to learn the slightly more advanced things they were working on, like the basics of hand seals.
Then today things changed.
I arrived home walking along side Shiro like I did every day, and waved to Tadashi as I saw him standing in front of the apartments along with Naruto and-
"HEY TAKARA! WE BROUGHT A NEW FRIEND!" Naruto's shout rang down the street and all I could do in response was nod. A boy our age stood next to him, based on his appearance and clothes I would bet my liver he was Sasuke Uchiha. That wouldn't surprise me too much, but the boy was actually SMILING!
That was a shock, but what really surprised me was the other kid.
This girl was also our age, and based on her appearance and clothes she was ALSO and Uchiha. She was basically a female version of Sasuke, only her hair was long and straight.
"Hey." I managed to mutter as I caught up to the group. "As you may have heard my names Takara." I sarcastically gestured to the whiskered blond who had just shouted that very information, which elicited a laugh from everyone in the group.
"So your Takara? Tadashi and Naruto mentioned you a few times. Name's Sasuke, Sasuke Uchiha." The boy held out his hand and the look in his pure black eyes was one of genuine mirth.
"Ah, Uchiha?" I mumbled as I took his hand in mine. His grip was firm and he never broke eye contact, if this was earth he would have made a good salesman. "That's the one with magic eyes right?"
I said it as an ice braker, and luckily for me it seemed to work as the boy smiled wider than before. Though If this were a game with a charisma stat, im pretty sure I would have just failed a skill check. "Well that's kinda dumbing it down but… yeah. Magic eyes is about right."
"So." I through a sideways glance Naruto's way. "What are you doing hanging out in this part of town?" the blond scratched his neck sheepishly, and as I turned back to Sasuke he simply shrugged.
"We were bored, Naruto and Tadashi mentioned you guys all meet up to train, so Me and sis decided to join you." I nodded at the explanation, but that last part really caught my eye. So this other girl was his sister? "Oh yeah!" Sasuke exclaimed, palming his forehead. "This is Satsuki! Sorry about her she… dosent talk much."
I looked back to the girl again. She also had a small smile on her face, so my first assumption was that she was just timid, but after Sasuke mentioned that she dident talk I noticed something. She was wearing a very thick scarf. In the middle of the summer. Was she covering a neck injury?
I decided not to focus on the issue. Not like it was very important at the moment anyway. "Cool. Nice to meet you both." I locked my fingers behind my head, and casually noticed that Shiro had completely ignored the group and gone straight home. "So, whats the plan for training today?"
Satsuki made a few strange hand signs that I assumed were some kind of sign language, and Sasuke promptly nodded and turned back to us. "Have any of you started learning Taijutsu?" I shook my head in response as the two boys also did the same. "Well then, what about chakra control? Has the B class done the leaf exercise yet?"
"pft." I waved him off. "I mastered that exercise right away."
This comment got a raised eyebrow from Satsuki, who shared a look with her brother. "Oh yeah?" the raven-haired boy crossed his arms. "Prove it."
A few minutes later Sasuke and his sister were slack jawed, while Tadashi and Naruto simply rolled their eyes. They had seen this dozens of times, but to the other two this was a pretty cool thing to witness.
Every level of the leaf exercise added more leaves until you had ten. The next level was making the leaves hover a few inches off the body without losing them or destroying them. and finally the greatest level of exercise was to make the leaves orbit your body.
To put things into perspective, most ninja didn't learn how to make the leaves float off of your body, because it was practically impossible. The water and tree walking exercises were EASY by comparison. And making the leaves orbit your body? There was a very short list of people below jonin level who were capable of making even a single leaf do that without losing it.
I was doing it with all 10.
Orbital leaf meditation: cause leaves to orbit your body! Chance to increase CNT over time. (Warning! CNT is already at max level)
For obvious reasons I dident care too much about the skill. Though it did suggest that I could increase other stats without waiting to level up, so it wasn't a complete waste.
"That." Sasuke muttered. "Is AWSOME! I don't think I've ever seen someone do the last level with the full ten leaves before!"
I waved him off again as the leaves continued to swirl around me peacefully. "I have really small chakra reserves, so chakra control comes really easily to me."
Satsuki tapped on her brothers shoulder and signed something again. "Oh, Do you know the tree walking exercise?" Sasuke asked, Naruto and Tadashi's heads perking up at the sound of that. Another difference I had noticed right away, weather it was from my presence or not, was that Naruto wasn't as stupid as he was in the show. He knew all about chakra.
"No, my class won't move on from the leaf exercise until halfway through the year." I muttered. "and even then, we focus mostly on the politics of being a ninja. Genin Corps members are mostly dedicated to guard duty and jobs in the village you know?"
The four kids all nodded, an apologetic look in their eyes. It was Tadashi who broke the silence. "Well, maybe we should go over the hand seals today?"
And so the rest of our evening was spent practicing hand seals. Satsuki was by far the best out of all of us. But well, the kid spoke with sign language so obviously she would be skilled there. Sasuke and Tadashi were equal in speed, though Sasuke made less mistakes.
Naruto and I were passible, but we were both abysmally slow. Even if we knew any jutsu, we wouldn't be able to use them.
Then when the time came for
Sasuke and his sister to leave, I got to meet the third Uchiha survivor. And I am not ashamed to admit that if it weren't for the gamers mind, I either would had gone full fangirl or just passed out from the implications of his presence.
Just a few feet away from our group stood a young man in a black yukata bearing the Uchiha crest, the sleeves hung low to hide his missing left arm, and bandages covered his left eye.
"Uncle Shisui!" Sasuke called out as he and his sister ran to their apparent legal guardian.
Despite all the implications to how Shisui's life could complicate this world, I was focused on a very different issue.
Danzo wasn't as 'corrupt' in this world, or so Kitsumara claimed. So if that was really the case…
Where the fuck was Shisui's eye?
Hokage's estate
"Ah." The Kage of Konoha sighed as he placed down a cup of tea. "Truly I relish the days where I can relax with a nice cup of tea."
The two guests who sat with him said nothing as they both sipped their own drinks. Danzo and Kakashi both exchanged a glance before the elder broke the silence. "Hiruzen, as much as I enjoy your tea." The kage huffed at the not so discreet sarcasm. "Why have you summoned Hatake and myself? In case you have forgotten I am rather occupied with my new project."
"yes, I do want to let you get back to that as soon as you can." The elderly man sighed and rose from his chair. "But first, something has been bothering me for a few days now."
Kakashi and Danzo both raised their respective visible eyebrows. "A matter of village security?" Kakashi spoke.
"It regulars an old S rank operation you were both closely involved in." The Hokage produced a vanilla folder and placed it on the table. A single phrase scribbled across the top in black ink.
Operation: ZERO Nightlock
Kakashi rose fast enough to send his chair back a few feet. "Is something wrong with Takara?"
The folders label identified it as the records regarding an infant Takara being placed in CRYO freeze, as well as the results of the project. Both of the men knew every detail, though Kakashi was obviously more visibly concerned as to why the folder had been produced now.
"No not at all Kakashi." Hiruzen motioned for the white haired man to calm down. "Though my concerns do pertain to her."
Danzo grumbled in annoyance. "Well, spit it out then man. What seems to be the issue?"
The Thirds face darkened a bit as he looked up to the sky. "You know it was young Takara who revealed to me that Naruto had been illegally removed from the Orphanage?"
The two men nodded. "Of course, but how is that a concern?" Kakashi tilted his head.
Hiruzen looked back to the two of them and tapped the side of his head with his index finger. "When she came to the tower, she got my attention by claiming to have a new instalment if the Icha Icha books for me."
Danzo growled in annoyance. "Hiruzen, if you tell me that you wasted my afternoon to talk about a damn smut novel, I WILL kill you."
"Its not about the book." Kakashi mumbled, a look of deep thought held on his face. "Its about the fact that it was a lie."
Hiruzen nodded, and Danzo's face went from annoyance to curiosity. "And just how." Danzo muttered. "Did a child with no worldly experience know a kage's weakness?"
Hiruzen smiled coyly and tapped the side of his nose. "And that gentlemen, is why we are here."
Six months later
My classes in school weren't worth much. Combat training didn't start till next year, and none of the skills we had been learning were worth much.

Over the course of six months I had managed to level up ten levels, and while that may SEEM impressive, I was still nothing compared to even a genin. I had learned that the hard way one day when Naruto had been cornered by some older kids, probably from the genin corps from their lack of a jonin captain. I never found out though. Shisui, who had taken a parental roll for our whole group, had arrived on scene to find me and Naruto beaten bloody.
I don't know what happened to those kids, but something told me I would be better off not knowing. It had given me a good test of my healing ability's though! basic game physics, my 'HP' went down but my body reverted to normal after a few seconds.
Speaking of our 'group', Sasuke, Satsuki, Tadashi, Naruto and I had made our meetups a regular thing. The twins lived with Shisui in a large house near the center of the village, and they had a nice forested area to train in. that was where we found ourselves most afternoons. The boys helped teach me to fight hand to hand and I helped them by sparring with them. ever since I had leveled my DEX to 50, I had been unbeatable. Though, we were all little kids, like I said before I had gotten my ass handed to me by genin.
I muttered about how 'power levels are bullshit' as I looked over my newer skills.
STR- lvl 25 perk: [Power Drill]: unarmed attacks deal increased damage.
DEX- lvl 50 perk: [Nimble soul]: dogging and physical movement skills are more effective. When HP is low, automatically doge an attack that should have hit you. [cooldown 24 hours]
[Throwing weapons- intermediate]- Kunai, Shuriken, And Senbon Throwing weapons are far more accurate and travel faster (1/20)
While the skill description never mentioned it my throwing weapons also gained a damage boost from the skill. Kunai did 20 base damage, with my DEX at 50 I should be doing 30 damage with them right?
well when my basic throwing weapon skill reached level 20, that number had risen to 50. Thus my current farming method. Kill slimes, get XP, get the occasional Kunai or shuriken drop, then I would get RYO from all the enemy's.
I was sitting comfortably on 157000 Ryo. Or about $80K.
Yeah, lets just say I happily paid for lunch whenever our friend group went out. Nobody questioned it since I got plenty of the money from my monthly stipend, and I DID owe the other kids for helping me catch up on training. A class was already learning to throw kunai, B class? We were learning 'weapon safety management.'
Two. Months. And we hadn't learned more than how to properly store and clean knives.
Also, my chakra enhanced punches delt 150 damage now. Which was neat, considering it dident cost me too much chakra.
Sadly, everyone BUT me seemed to have high VIT. I hadn't noticed till recently but…
I had REALLY low HP. Talk about a glass cannon?
I had realized it while using Observe during class. I couldn't read most people; my level was still low compared to most. I was level 19, most of my classmates? 30 and above. I couldn't read the 'stats' of other people. At least, not yet. But I had the least 'health' out of all of us. And considering that included literal civilians? I was just disappointed.
My promise to invest in my VIT stat aside, I had more important things to consider at the moment.
First and fore most, was the fact that Orochimaru was once again standing in my doorway, this time accompanied by my 'brother.'
"Takara, it is good to see you again." Kakashi waved to me while his face held his signature eye smile. "Orochimaru and I need to talk to you, can we come in?"
I nodded, my brain staling as the sight of the snake summoner sent the gamers mind into overdrive to keep my internal fear at bay. Good guy or not, I was not interested in screwing around with the mad scientist.
"So Takara." Kakashi began again as the other man entered another room. I wanted to see what he was doing, but at the moment I felt like I was somehow in trouble. "How has the academy been?"
I sighed and threw myself down on my couch. "Horrible. Most of what I have learned about being a ninja my friends taught me, my teacher just focuses on the politics!" I scratched my head and sent an apologetic smile the mans way. "Sorry, I don't mean to sound ungrateful, im still just bummed out about being in B class you know?"
Kakashi nodded his head and walked over to me, placing his hand on my head in a comforting gesture. "Well then I have some good news for you Takara." I looked up with my head tilted, as he continued. "a student has decided to drop out of the program, and based on our observations…"
I smiled wide and laughed. "Are you transferring me to class A?!"
"Not quite so easy I'm afraid." Orochimaru came out from the other room with a cart laden with a computer, some equipment I didn't recognize, and the chakra reader. "First we need to see if you qualified, then you will need to pass a test at the academy."
I gulped as he wheeled the cart over to me. 'where the hell was he keeping THAT?' I thought passively, but dismissed the mystery a moment later when I remembered sealing jutsu was a thing. "Oh. Well, thank you for taking the time Mr. Orochimaru." I laughed and rubbed the back of my neck as the snake man careened a small smile my way. "You know, until Kakashi said it just now I don't think we were ever properly introduced."
Orochimaru tilted his head slightly, then playfully palmed his forehead. "Ah, yes I believe you are correct. Forgive me, I did not consider that when last we met you were an infant."
I blinked as the chakra reading machine began whirring to life. "Infant? Oh, where you involved in that whole poisoning thing big brother mentioned?" I laughed internally as I watched Kakashi squirm when I called him that, but kept it internal as the snake sent a glare in Kakashi's direction.
"Oh? Did young Kakashi tell you some fun stories?" the white haired man seemed to shrink under the glare, but in a moment Orochimaru's expression returned to a more passive look. "Ah well, I suppose its no issue." He turned back to me. "Indeed, I was actually in charge of the project to save you and the others."
There was a tense silence as we all seemed to share a thought, about all the kids that DIDENT make it out of that project, a silence that was broken by the beeping of machinery, informing us that my readings were done. The sanin grabbed the papers as they printed out and began skimming through them-
Then his eyes nearly bulged out of his skull.
Orochimaru POV
1000 Cana-Jules of chakra. A few months ago the girl had 15, now she had 1000? "Kakashi, a moment?" the girl seemed visibly concerned as I pulled the elder Hatake into the kitchen. "Hatake, do you see something wrong with this?"
As the man skimmed through the paperwork, he had the same reaction as I did moments before. "Is this?" he stopped and read the page again, looking back and forth between me and the document in his hand. "Are you sure the device was calibrated properly?"
"I am certain." I peeked around the corner, seeing that the girl was still seated on the couch and not eavesdropping, I continued. "ANBU was ordered to observe her while they keep watch over young Naruto correct? Have they reported anything strange?"
Kakashi nodded, a frown visible under his mask. "No. other than her chakra control being near perfect the only strange reports about her behavior have been that she talks to herself when shes alone. But…" the man closed his eye and sighed. "That's not too unusual for someone who spends so much time alone."
I nodded with a knowing look. "Yes, well that doesn't explain these numbers." I frowned as I looked at the paper again myself. "1000. That's average for a new chunin, not a genin, and certainly not an academy student who barley had chakra a few months ago."
The two of us shared a look, then moved back to the lounge room where the girl still sat.
Takara POV
Damn, something was bothering them. Did I over do things when I leveled up my INT? I shifted nervously as they both re entered the room. "Takara." Orochimaru was the first to speak. "Can you tell me exactly what you have been doing to train? Regarding your chakra that is."
"Well." I scratched my head. "I use the leaf exercise, and I meditate at night." I frowned, not wanting to even attempt to lie to these two. "its not like I have much, even Class A doesn't touch jutsu till next month."
Orochimaru frowned, clearly dissatisfied with my answer. "That is all well and good Takara, but that still doesn't explain this." He showed me the paperwork, revealing in fancy ninja science jargon that I had a 'chakra level' of 1000. Obviously, I had already known that, but these two? Clearly, I had shocked them with those numbers.
"oh. Right." I mumbled. I needed a way to explain my new power, but I also needed to make sure every word I spoke was true, otherwise they would think I was hiding something. "Maybe its because of my age?"
The snake blinked slowly, like he had just heard complete gibberish. "Takara, I do not believe… age,is the concerning factor here."
I shook my head, waving my hand to indicate I had more to say. "No, I mean my REAL age. Chakra is spiritual and physical, so could my years on ice have caused… I don't know… an imbalance?"
I was about ready to just explain the whole 'guardian' thing right there. No WAY was my bullshiting skill going to work on-
The pale sanin had a curious, almost hungry look in his eyes. "My my, what a curious hypothesis." The man began sorting through some vials and medical equipment. "Takara, would you mind if I run a few tests, to see if there is anything physically wrong? If your time in the cryo pod affected your chakra I want to make sure it hasn't caused any damage."
I gulped as he pulled out a rather large needle, and looked to my brother for help-
But he was avoiding this conversation by reading smut.
Sudden desire to punch the jonin (or attempt to anyway) aside, I knew Orochimaru's questions were more important now. "Yeah, sure. test away."
The snake sanin had me sit back so he could take a blood sample. It went normal, he stuck a needle in my arm, the vial filled with blood, he pulled the needle out, my blood disappeared, and the puncture wound heal-
Wait, something about that dosent seem right.
"How- where did?-" the pale man just looked at his empty test tube in confusion as Kakashi refocused on the matter at hand, his book forgotten. "Takara, did you do something just now?"
I sighed internally while gamers mind helped me avoid any visible response to the situation. "No." I held my hands up in defensive gesture. "Not intentionally anyway."
Orochimaru seemed conflicted for a moment, then he turned to Kakashi who now clearly bore a look of concern. "Kakashi. Stay here until I return, don't let anyone inside this apartment."
Silence followed his words as the pale sanin vanished from sight in a poof of smoke, leaving nothing but me and my older sibling who now regarded me with a glint of suspicion.
Hokage's office
"Her blood… disappeared." Hiruzen Sarutobi was no stranger to strange reports, especially when it came his student. But the string of words that had been thrown at him moments ago made him hesitate.
